Reviews of Darcy's Belfast
J. T.
Great atmosphere and really good customer service. We had ordered mushrooms for starters and it was really good. For mains, we ordered Beef pie and stuffed chicken and both were absolutely yummy. The quantity was good enough and we were full.
T. M.
Pictures on Web don't do it justice, thoroughly recommend, fantastic food, fantastic steak, fantastic atmosphere. Great value for money, seriously impressive staff adding to the experience.
S. G.
Lovely staff and great food. Definitely recommend here if you want a nice chilled evening meal. Darcy's Honey and Mustard Chicken was amazing and my partner had the Darcy's Burger which was also superb.
V. O.
Food is deliciously satisfying and affordable and the ambience is great! I forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered as we're hungry but I have an (almost) empty plate (personally not a fan of ?peppers?carrots sorry mum 😅) overall experience was AMAZING 👌👌👌👌👌
S. h.
Had a meal here last night. Absolutely fantastic food, proper home cooked, good quality and tasty. The staff were really friendly. Wish we’d been here on our first night in Belfast so we could of gone again. You need to book as very popular. I’d definitely recommend.
B. C.
One of the best dining experiences you will have in Belfast city centre!
The staff are so accommodating and wonderful and check up on you just the right amount. The food is very well priced for how delicious it is, I would pay a lot more if I needed to and I am broke as can be. This is my favourite restaurant and I will continue to return as often as possible.
K. F.
Great restaurant. Highly recommended. We ordered Stuffed roasted chicken, Seafood chowder and Irish ham etc. They were all delicious. Our children also enjoyed deserts. Customer service was also nice.
S. C.
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve eaten in years! The place was so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious.
C. M. C.
Fabulous food, cannot really fault. The ham was to die for and mash silky smooth. Only slight quibble would be a few more vegetables with it. Only docking one star due to long wait to pay the bill but the staff were genuinely really busy. Brilliant start to my trip home.
A. O.
I’d be lying if I said we weren’t slightly apprehensive going into this place. But it’s safe to say we were so pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely incredible, including the vegetarian options, and the staff were so friendly!
All round great place! Would recommend
M. H.
Delicious food and very attentive staff. Didn't have time for dessert (limited to 90mins during busy periods) but the starters and mains were 5⭐. Will definitely be back.
C. H.
I ordered their soup of the day and fish of the day, which were both very nice, especially the salmon. The service was good - - the waitors came to my table several times to check whether I was happy with my food or would want to make more orders, and they didn't apply service charge to my bill. I also recommend their cocktails.
C. N.
Amazing food at Darcy's, the team is second to none , amazing atmosphere, really great place to go!!!! Thank you so much!!
A. O.
We were so impressed with the food, drinks and service here. We had been struggling to find a restaurant to eat at the whole evening but eventually we ran into luck with finding this place! Would recommend to anyone
A. H.
The team is simply amazing and friendly. The service was great and they really do go above and beyond without you realising it (for instance I'm almost certain they kept a dish warm in the kitchen because I was having a cigarette break). We were on a late booking on a Saturday evening and while I'm sure they were exhausted from a long day, we got a perfect service.
The food is great and fresh, do try the seafood chowder which was amazing. The lamb shank is one of the best I ever had.
K. H.
Food and service was excellent! Leave room for dessert!
j. l.
What a place, friendly staff and the food is delicious, home cooked and hearty and the lovely music in the back ground just topped it off! So full but I couldn’t leave even a bite behind ❤️ Definitely give the vegetarian pie a go
D. L.
My family had a lovely meal this evening at Darcy's. The service was excellent, and the food great. Will definitely go back.
E. B.
Great meal here. Mussels where superb. Staff really friendly.
L. J.
Amazing 3 course valentine's meal. Lovely setting and friendly staff. Just wish i lived in Belfast so i could become a regular
J. C.
Fantastic restaurant. The menu caters for all tastes including vegetarian and vegan. The staff were lovely, the price really good value for money and the music was quiet enough for my mum. Highly recommended!
S. H.
The staff here make this place the five stars! The chefs know what they're at in that kitchen to deliver some top quality grub. 100% would recommend the Irish soda starter and the Irish chicken for main!
G. S.
We had to wait a little while when we arrived for our table, but the team apologised multiple times.
They had sadly run out of Chowder which looked awesome, but it happens.
We had ribeye steaks and mushrooms to start. The food was delivered unbelievably fast which, as big eaters, we loved!
Steaks were incredible, so well cooked and tender. Partner had garlic sauce and potatoes which were very yummy. Fried onions were a nice addition. All priced very reasonably! Staff were very attentive and we never had to wait long for anything.
Definitely recommend if you’re in Belfast!
P. M. Q.
Great meal and atmosphere
Friendly and attentive staff
Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back again
K. L.
We did not have a reservation so were leaving when a table was found that had to be vacated in just over the hour. The food and wine were just superb and we had a great time in there. Well worth another visit
R. K. R.
perfecto ... great staff , fantastic atmosphere, ribeye was delicious, recommend anytime...
S. A.
9 of us booked in for Xmas lunch. Delicious food, friendly staff and lovely surroundings. It was the first time most of us had dined here and we all agreed its a place to return to in the future.
T. C.
Staff were lovely, recomended dishes and we changed our order to steaks outstanding
Great atmosphere recomend a visit.
T. T.
Went down for my daughters graduation meal. Have to say one of the best evenings out in a long time. Food was beautiful and staff were efficient and very friendly, would recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely be back. Oh and the raspberry cheesecake is the best dessert ever.
H. X.
The lamb stew was 11/10. My fiancé got the lamb shank and loved his meal. We ordered an appetizer of mussels... phenomenal. But the real treat was the staff. Attentive. Charismatic. Lovely. Come for the food, stay for the people. Highly recommend for any people traveling through Belfast. Worth every penny and more. Also, I usually don’t even like lamb.
S. P.
Took my daughter here for dinner last night food was lovely!staff very nice and a lovely atmosphere.
Would definatley reccomend
F.
Had a wonderful dinner here on Friday! We were able to get a table immediately without booking and no wait time. The vegan menu was good, options for starter main and sides which is nice! Would definitely try again!
M. D.
Darcy's has a charming atmosphere. We didn't book and were lucky to get a table on a midweek night so booking ahead is recommended. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lamb stew was tender. The dishes are reasonably priced and not that expensive. The service is very fast and always friendly even there is a lot of work. You get the feeling that you're very welcome there. So go in.
Y. S.
Visited on 29th September. Seafood chowder was lovely and my partner had the pie which was good. Atmosphere excellent and prices for food and drink very reasonable. Would visit again
E. W.
Perfect place for a late night group dinner. A great start to our visit to Belfast and Dublin. Excellent service, food and prices.

A. W.
A wonderful little restaurant specialising in local dishes, served by very attentive and friendly staff. Also has a very well-stocked drinks menu. I became obsessed with the seafood chowder!
B. C.
Wow! One of the best Irish restaurants IMO. Helpful and charming waitress, delicious cuisine and very cleanness. A must re-visit restaurant in centre of Belfast.
By the way, the location is good and easy to find, just between ulster museum and the Europa bus station.
D. M.
So this year we decided to order our Xmas dinner from darcys ,well what can I say ,only it deserved 10stars it was absolutely delicious, The amount was so good too ,our plates where full, this is what I will be doing from now on for Xmas dinner, and thanks so much to Curtis for being super helpful getting this sorted ,so guys I really can't rate Darcys high enough ,I was abit hesitant about having to reheat it all but it was all fine ,it was just the same high quality food as if we had sat in the restaurant.Darcys thank u 💓
A. M.
Honestly the best service I have had in the UK. My waitress was not only beautiful and smiley but super friendly and accommodating. I had to move seats, which was fine and the staff were so appreciative and thankful.
The muscles starters are a must. the waitress' are very attentive and work hard to give you the best service and experience. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend. Also, the ginger and rhubarb brulee is Devine. Will come here again.
D. S.
The pea soup with ham was a nice start and a good way to get the cold out, but the fish and chips... my god! I can honestly say that this was the best fish and chips I have ever had. To top it all off, the staff were friendly, attentive, and fast, and the actual restaurant is small and charming without feeling cramped. Every dish that left the kitchen looked fantastic, and from what I could see through the kitchen windows, everything back there looked spotless. Anyone spending some time in Belfast should do themselves a favour and stop for dinner at Darcy's.
S. F.
Staff is nice n helpful to ask, chill environment n music, comfy lighting, wat matters the most is the food is great as u can c the roasted half chicken is quite a big portion for 1 person. Meat is mostly tender n juicy, price is jus under £10 without service charge for the dish
E. M.
Lovely and very fun staff (they keep singing! :) ), amazing mussels (we came back for them!). Definitely a good address!
I. S.
Just Go and try it!! Visited again only recently and just gets better and better. Fish is great as well. Excellent restaurant all the meals we ordered were excellent. Irish food; the pie was amazing as were the sausages. Obviously good quality and well cooked. Fantastic vegan selection as well the bean burger was great. Friendly service with lovely staff and the place has a really good feel. We will be back. Want to try something traditional if visiting Belfast go. Live in Belfast and want a good feed then go. Updating review visited twice more and continued excellent food and service.
W. S.
I have not been back to Belfast since 1975 and my my what an amazing vibrant place it is now, and to top it all I found this super place on google maps, Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, Very welcoming, very warm and pleasant.... if I am back in this area I will most certainly visit again.

Good buzzy place. Main courses of tasty food, presented well, excellent wine.
Waiter service a bit patchy with angling for tip.
D. G.
Such a nice place !! Darcy's IS Belfast... And Ireland. Meals - all local - were very tasty. And the Irish coffee is a must be. Very good music too.
H. P.
Great family run restaurant, the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the homemade guiness ice cream. Warm and welcoming staff.
A. T.
Really lovely Place to eat good Irish food.
The pies were excellent. Running out of Guinness was a surprise but the substitute was just as good.
Good atmosphere.
T. K.
Food was lovely as always and staff where really nice couldn't do enough for us brilliant night out for the whole family
R. P.
The vegan Wellington was better than any I’ve had at an all-vegan restaurant. The vegan sundae was pretty good as well. The service and atmosphere were lovely. I would absolutely go back on a return trip to Belfast.
N. J.
No fuss little Irish place. Good prices on food and drinks - actually insanely cheap for lunch and dinner before 7pm. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is just right. Comfortable, not too loud, uncluttered, soft lighting. Best for small groups (6 or less) but there are bigger tables upstairs and they cater for children as well. Definitely recommend this place.
M. G.
Such a lovely restaurant and staff were equally as good..Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Belfast..Food and atmosphere is fab!
S. A.
It was an incredible stroke of luck to have this place within easy walking distance of our accommodations, and even luckier that it was early in the week. They were able to seat us with no delay. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable and intimate, the service is excellent, and every bite of food was absolutely perfect. Their GF selections, while not extensive, all sounded totally mouth-watering and we had a hard time choosing, and the same goes for the wine menu and their desserts. Even after the place started to fill up, it was never so loud that we could not enjoy visiting with the couple seated at the table next to ours. If we are ever back in Belfast again, we'll definitely be going back to Darcy's (having made a reservation first, just to be safe!).
C. B.
First time in Darcy's tonight and will definitely be back. Lovely, friendly staff, very helpful and quick service. The food was incredible. There were 3 of us having dinner tonight. We all really enjoyed it. Perfect portion sizes and really tasty. Absolutely beautiful desserts, the raspberry ruffle cheesecake was amazing! We actually booked Darcy's as a second choice as our first cancelled the booking. Very good decision. We will definitely be back. Five stars all round!
W. S.
Highly recommended, you will not regret. Cheap and amazing food! I am still dreaming about going back as the food was the best I've had travelling the whole UK!
i. m.

Just arrived in Belfast, and found this great restaurant! The Irish lamb stew was excellent! We received a warm welcome with a good music playlist!
J. C.
Me and my fiancée shared the beef and Bushmills pie and the chicken and ham pie, honestly the greatest pies I have ever eaten. We then shared the raspberry ruffle cheesecake which was also amazing. Would 100% recommend dining here. And definitely get the pie!!
a. m.

Really nice staff really carring.
We higly recommend.
S. L.

We will be back!
S. m.
Great menu decent prices for city centre. Small intimate restaurant with interesting decor
S. A.
We were a party of 6 and went to darceys last night 11 September. The dinner was really lovely. The fault we had was the 20pd service charge, we asked for it to be taken off as we were going to five a tip but it shouldn't be a set amount. We were told that it couldn't be taken off and that it would take an engineer to get it removed. Really angry about the charge. Would def put us off going back.
G. D.
A place to take your friends, family and loved one.
If you are carving for a quality Irish or I would rather say Belfastish serving, then take your loved one here. You are going to get a pictorial tour of Belfast and it's history. Along with the tasty food with their special Irish coffee served with love. We went there to have Stew but unfortunately, was not on the menu on perticular day.
We had a great experience all together.
N. B.
Wonderful food at a very reasonable price plus amazing service, highly recommended.
H. C.

We came across this place on a visit to Belfast. Now it's our new favourite place to eat. The food was amazing. Lamb shank and beef and bushmill pie. Just wow! The staff were so lovely and friendly, with great service. They seemed to all really enjoy their job which is a rare thing to see. Having not eaten in a restaurant for over a year due to covid restrictions, this was all the more special because everything was flawless. Can't wait to go back when we visit Belfast again.
R. T.

Without question, our group of 4 had what must be described as an outstanding meal. Excellent and plentiful food, and super value for money. Highly recommend Darcy's for a visit.
D.
Really nice place with great food! I was a little confused as the waiters weren't wearing a mask, I thought in NI it was compulsory to wear for the restaurants personnel
M. D.

We have travelled quite a bit over the years, Darcy's must rate as one of the best we have eaten at, not just good quality food but great atmosphere and excellent staff. If we return to Belfast we will definitely return to Darcy's
S.
An absolute 5 star experience all around. Staff were very attentive. The food was delicious, we had a sticky toffee ginger cake for dessert which was on special so look out for the specials board!!! The Irish coffee was also delicious so I’d give that a whirl too! Great value and a lovely lunch. Thank you Darcys!
P. m.
Absolutely top notch, whether you are sitting in or take away.. firm favourite amongst my family and friends..staff are warm and friendly and courteous... the restaurant is larger than it looks from the street and comfortable. The food is excellent, great choice on the menu... will be back
C. S.
Fantastic food, great staff. Definitely be back again.
P. O.
When I was in Belfast, I was desperate for some place that served IRISH STEW! What an absolute gem of a restaurant cafe I found which serves the best of the best Irish stews I have ever had. Try to come here before 7pm and you will get Irish stew reduced from £10.95 to £7.77! What an amazing bargain for such a massive delicious meal. IT WAS SO NICE I HAD TWO IRISH STEWS IN TWO DAYS! It is one of my highlights for food.
M. W.
Very friendly staff, really nice food, local drinks, will be back.
P. K.
Good quality good. Friendly staff. We were little concerned about social distancing as place is tightly packed. But good interior and best food
C. S.
Best food in Belfast. Came for three days and ate there two nights in a row. Staff were funny and attentive and the food was out of this world x
h. l.
Foods were tasty and service was polite and friendly, what more could a tourist ask for?
E. P.
Got takeaway during lockdown. Collected from the restaurant and was impressed with the set up. Food was still very warm when we got it home and portion sizes were generous. Vegan options too. Will definitely order again.
M. M.
Lovely decor. Great food, friendly staff and service is perfect. Would highly recommend Darcy's. 👌😊
A. M.
Went here on Wednesday for dinner. I completely mixed up my booking time (by an hour and a half) and even though they were absolutely packed they still managed to get us a table. The food was fabulous, the seafood chowder was to die for😍 and the staff were extremely helpful. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough . Will definitely be back when I'm in Belfast again . 5 stars is not enough!! Absolute must if your in Belfast
D. P.
Family meal out with the in laws, both the service and food were fantastic. would most certainly recommend this restaurant for a little lovely meal.

D. W.
Delicious food, lovely wait staff, great social distancing. Couldn't fault it.
M. B.
I haven’t had a better time at a restaurant in a long time. The service was beyond amazing and the food was absolutely perfect. Followed guidance to try the local grey sole and it was lightly seasoned and beautifully cooked. Wine was wonderfully paired and the was no sense of urgency or rush, even in this post lockdown time when places are looking to make back money quickly (understandably so). Would give 6 stars if I could. Extremely happy to make this my first post lockdown meal out. Big thanks to Curtis for the next level welcome and hospitality
A. Y.
Absolute surprise. Amazing friendly service, and the food was beyond outstanding. Simple, perhaps but absolutely delicious. I had the half roast chicken and found it absolutely delicious.
My wife has the beef pie and really enjoyed it. Pastry was light and puffy and delicious. The beef stew was yum.
m. u.
Nice food, whole some , and well made with great service
G. F.
Nice vibe with a good interior. Seafood starters were tasty. Bread was a tiny bit fresh and flavourless. Got the pie which was very tasty. A little pricy for the quality of food, however.
F. G.
Unreal food, great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff
M. R.
Great menu, with good vegetarian/vegan options as well as good beer selection. Biggest impression was the staff, who were fantastic and welcoming. Didn't catch his name but our waiter even gave me his spare jacket given the awful weather on the night. Thanks again mate!
A. C.
I go to Darcy's quite regularly and have I dont have a thing to complain about at all. The food is always lovely and always piping hot. The staff is really nice and always make sure they always go out of their way to make sure that your always made comfortable. I had the half of chicken on Wednesday night and it was delicious. We all had the vegetable soup for starters and it was beautiful. Anyone thinking about going they definitely should as you definitely wont be disappointed. You should always ring up for a booking as it is always busy. I definitely give Darcy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
G. H.
Went to Darcys for my sons birthday. My son wanted a milkshake with his meal. The waiter told us they didn't do them and then went and phoned another restaurant who delivered it to Darcys. Nice touch that made my sons night. Food was bang on and the service very friendly and professional.
C. C.
meal portions are incredible! cosy seating, tad warm to my liking however company was happy, toilets are upstairs, no issue for me however others with issues may have a problem.
Staff very friendly , attentive cannot fault. highly recommend .
D. D.
Quite honestly, THE best restaurant or pub I have ever eaten at. The food is amazing. I had a chicken and ham pie with chips and the seafood chowder. My wife had the lamb stew and an irish whiskey espresso. We were in heaven. Incredibly delicious. Lively atmosphere. The service was amazing. Hilarious and cheeky wait staff singing the 60s British Rock songs playing in the pub while they serve you. About £40 for the both of us. So worth it.
A. W.
Great atmosphere and superb food. Loved the garlic sodas bread. It’s the future!
R. A. N.
Dropped in with friends with no knowledge of place. Most delicious Haddock dinner I've ever had! Everyone loved their orders. Great staff and fine cocktails. Don't miss Darcy's!
M. R.
Lovely food and a big Yorkie, nice art there aswell 🙌, will visit again.
J. O.
Food was very nice, staff were really friendly and attentive with great banter. Will definitely be back the next time we're in the city!
R. K. O.
Very nice people, amazing food!
A. D.
A thriving, bustling city restaurant with frantically busy yet admirably friendly waiters serving delicious meals at real value for money. And this includes the alcoholic drinks. Prompt service. I had the Irish strew - proper wholesome and homemade food. A pure tasting experience. And my final reflection - this is what a successful catering business can look like when so many others fail. Their 'formula' obviously works. And works well. NB may be best to book. The restaurant is compact and not a single free table when we arrived - and this was a weekday night.
S. O.
Really good food, great atmosphere friendly staff. Good service, my husband sent his pie back to be reheated, it was done quickly and without any problem. He enjoyed it and we were given our tea and coffee in the house because of it. Would definitely return there
D. M.
Absolutely excellent vegan menu, wonderful mood and decor and wonderful staff. It has a very comfy mood with warm lighting, partly made by candles with wax running down the bottles they have been placed in in the middle of the tables. It has a old tavern feel with a twist of modern with large pictures of people in the walls. The staff are nicely dressed and are extremely friendly. I loved the mushroom and nut Wellington.
E. R.
Such a great experience! Although visiting 30mins before kitchen closed, staff was very helpful. Great vibe in the shop. We got the chowder, Irish stew and pie of the day and were not disappointed. Food was delicious and well portioned. Very good value for money!
A. W.
An excellent meal of freshly prepared food. They serve an excellent seafood chowder. Delicious. Would also recommend the soda bread to start (topped with divine cheese). And to finish it - the pavlova is divine. The ambiance is intimate but light and fun (at least on the first floor where we ate - there is an upstairs but we didn’t really see it). The service very pleasant - especially as a walk in. It was busy and bustling. Good signs of a good place.

We visited Darcys a few nights ago we had a lovely time. My steak was cooked to perfection and is the best steak I've had in a long time. The service was fantastic, the waiters were really friendly, welcoming and seemed to really enjoy their jobs.
They advised us to go to a bar not far away for some live music which ended our evening perfectly.
J. M.
Great food and atmosphere. I was very impressed with the menu selection available at Darcy's, and the pricing too! The chicken and ham pie was just like a real homemade one. Very tasty indeed. Darcy's also have a great value menu, with lunch costing just £7.77! Highly recommended.
L. M.
Food incredible, service outstanding, Ray Charles playing in the background. Get the rib eye it's A+. Fine pint of Guinness as well
S. F.
Food menu isn’t massive but the choices are fantastic. We were here for a friends birthday and the food was delicious, service was brilliant and the drinks menu was great - it’s a lovely little spot and well worth a try! Prices were to be expected not expensive but not cheap. Love the decor as well - we will be back!
S. M.
Went twice (it was that good) during a week in Belfast.
I’m not Irish but it seemed proper Irish!
The six meals we ordered were all great and excellent value.
Service was welcoming and friendly.
Vegan options if that’s your thing.
N. F.
One of the best meals I have ever had, very vegan and vegetarian friendly and the nicest staff, lovely drinks as well its so worth it
Couldn't recommend this place more

I came to Belfast for the weekend on my own after plans with friends changed and after reading the reviews for Darcys, made sure I booked in for my birthday on the Saturday night.
I was not disappointed.
It might not be a big place, but it has the most amazing, vibrant atmosphere when you walk in. You can tell that this is run by someone who loves food, feeding people and fun. The team on the floor were attentive and friendly and really made the night for me and the food....what can I say! Home cooked, local fare and absolutely to die for.
I had decided on the seafood chowder before I arrived, but there was an amazing grilled sole special on when I arrived which I ended up opting for. There are no words and I cannot lie, if I could have gotten away with licking the plate clean, I wouldnt have thought twice! After such a succesful recommendation from the guy looking after me, (so sorry I didn't get his name), I then decided to give his dessert recommendation a try. Ginger sponge with stem ginger ice cream and toffee sauce. Ginger is my favourite thing in the world and this was a triumph.
Topped off with a baileys coffee, what I needed was someone to roll me back to my hotel and put me to bed.
Really great prices, deliciously moreish food, and a wonderful bunch of people looking after you. This really was the icing on the cake for me. Belfast and darcy's - I will be back!!!
M. M.
The best fish and chips I've ever had! Extensive menu and a vegan menu too, there's pretty much something for everyone. The staff were really nice too :)
M. ..
Great service and staff warm atmosphere will definitely return and recommend
J. E.
Had a lovely Sunday roast. Desserts were delicious
R. G.
I've visited Darcy's twice now. It's perfectly fine comfort food but that's as far as it goes. Which is not a bad thing: good prices, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere make an enjoyable experience.
I had the signature chicken dish, delicious, and the steak (also good). The steak came with a heavy, creamy sauce (peppercorn) which I wasn't bothered about but many will enjoy. Chocolate brownie dessert, unfortunately, was not good. Too dry and lacking punchy chocolate flavour.
Drinks-wise there are some beers, wines and cocktails. None extensive but they do the job.

My wife and I decided to dine at Darcy's because of the wonderful reviews and we were not disappointed. We each ordered the Darcy's Pies (me the chicken and ham, her the beef) from the early bird which i found absolutely delicious and at a really terrific price. The crusts were flaky and abundant. My wife found her beef pie had way too many onions for her liking so she picked around them. Overall, she was not unhappy with her meal, not just as satisfied as I was. Service was excellent, very engaging, and attentive. Darcy's is a beautiful restaurant in a nice part of town, and worth a visit to.
P. C.
Great restaurant, consistently good. Friendly staff, tasty dishes and generous portions. Highly recommend for some good, comforting food.
K. L.
Food delicious, a bit chilly inside. Thank you for vegan options, the main reason we visited today.
C. S.
I was an out-of-town visitor and this restaurant was highly recommended to me. After visiting, I can see why. Booking a table for the same evening was quick and simple. I was welcomed heartily on arrival and seated immediately. The waiter handed out a menu and took a drinks order straight away. There was a vast choice of dishes from which to choose. I had the fish and chips and it was truly delicious. Darcy's legendary cheesecake followed and it was amazing! If you're in Belfast and want a fantastic dining experience, you MUST come here!
N. M.
great food at a great price. nice atmosphere but if i had 1 complaint it was a bit packed
I. I.
Really enjoyed the food, generous portions and good value
M. B.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
J. M.

J. W.
Lovely food and great atmosphere.
C. S.
Great good, great staff and great cocktails.! Definitely recommend
K. H.
Had a lovely meal. The service was brilliant and the staff were very friendly.
C. D.
Delicious, inexpensive meals in a great atmosphere with fabulous service. We had the lamb stew and the ham as part of their £7.77 mains before 7pm, and both were filling, rich and hearty.
We asked our server for a dessert recommendation, and she did not steer us wrong with their signature Rasperry Ruffle Cheesecake which was surprisingly light and fluffy, and perfectly tangy and sweet. The cocktails also looked amazing, though we didn't partake ourselves.
Only wish I had found out about this place earlier in our stay!
R. C.
Really enjoyed our meal there tonight. Scampi and brownie really good! Great atmosphere and fab service. Looked like the staff were enjoying themselves too which is always a good sign.
H. R.
Excellent service, quality food and great atmosphere one of the best 👌
T. V.
Traveled to Belfast on vacation and read great reviews about Darcy's. The experience did not disappoint. The service was awesome, friendly staff. The Irish soda bread was a nice starter. The steak was done to perfection and the lamb shank was tender and flavorful. If you like Irish whiskey I recommend the red breast 21. For dessert, my wife had the raspberry cheesecake. Very tasty!
M. H.
Fabulous food, welcoming, great music and atmosphere

Wish I had discovered this place before my last night in Belfast. Was on the search for somewhere that served veg stew only to discover this place had a whole vegan menu that was actually really impressive. Very traditional which was what I was after. I originally went for the stew and ended up Having the Wellington because sounded really nice. I was not disappointed. Food is really top quality and for a great price too. I also had the mushrooms and avocado on sourdough for starter which was super tasty. The Restaurant itself is really cute and cosy and staff are friendly. Would highly recommend for any vegans and veggies and even if you are not. Accommodates for both omni and vegan which is great because everybody can go and enjoy together no matter what their diet! :)
K. M.
Catered to a large group of us. Our party had the whole top floor to ourselves.
The layout is as such that it creates a cosy atmosphere.
Even though there were a lot of us the food arrived promptly and was warm.
If you go and deep fried brie is on the menu, take it, delicious.
Christmas dinner was good but I should have taken the duck, got to try some, so tasty.
Staff were patient and very accommodating, wished us Happy Christmas on the way out, much appreciated.
One of Belfast's most underrated restaurants. Will find an excuse to return in the New Year.
L. M.
Lovely cosy restaurant. When we went in they said they needed the table in an hour and a half though we didn’t mind. They did not make us feel at all rushed and were very attentive. All the food was absolutely delicious too!
L. C.
As always a beautiful meal in Darcys..in all my visits over the years never once could I find fault. A 5 star restaurant indeed. Highly recommended
M. D.
Amazing place! Food and drink were outstanding but the staff outshone it all. So friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back
C. H.
Excellent food and service. Great spot, would highly recommend.
D. W.
Friendly family owned restaurant, good service throughout the meal with good suggestions and enthusiasm. Highly recommended for some local food at respectable prices. The beers on tap could be improved from Carlsberg with something more local and independent.
L. M.
Great food. Nice atmosphere.
O. S.
Excellent Hake 🐠 delicious. Good service
R. J. J.
Very good service that is quick and to the point. The seafood chowder is to die for. Very enjoyable experience! :D
Y. S.
We had a party of 12. Food was excellent. The volume of the music spoiled our enjoyment as we were unable to have a conversation with each other. It wasn't turned down despite our request todo so As a result we didn't return the following night.
K. L.
This is a new review as my last review was 3 years ago......... I can't tell ppl how happy I am I returned 2 Darcys. The food has always been excellent but the staff ( well 1 person in particular ) give me reason 2 give a poor review. Now the staff r new and they r amazing. Gr8 food, fab staff what's not 2 love
B. 1.
Had one the best meals of my life here. Amazing food, good prices. The staff are very friendly and attentive.
S. H.
The food was good and the environment was cute. Our waiter was nice but she brought me the wrong dish even after I clarified with her several times. I ordered the Irish Chicken Supreme because I was excited about honey mustard glazed chicken, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus but was brought the stuffed chicken. I didn't have the heart to send it back because she was such a sweet heart. I will say that the stuffed chicken was good but not better than I could get anywhere else. I'm disappointed I didn't get to try the honey mustard glaze. In general, a disappointment that could have been avoided by writing down my order but overall a decent experience.
B. M.
Great Food! I had an amazing experience the food was delightful. Home cooked meal only down fall is it was a little cramped but i did go at a busy time.
B. G.
Having had a recommendation from our hotel, we wandered over to Darcy's and we couldn't have found a better restaurant. The staff were incredibly accomodating, food was excellent, environment was cute and if we were local we would certainly be back, time and time again.
S. G.
Such chilled and beautiful interiors, the vegan menu is well thought out and delicious and the staff never cease to be friendly and accommodating. Brilliant place to have food in Belfast!
D. W.
Always good wholesome food, great atmosphere with friendly and brilliant service. Great background music too! What's not to like. One of my favs in the city. 👍
k. M.
The food was excellent. Chef clearly cares about what comes out of the kitchen. Had the chicken and ham pie, excellent!!
Came back a second time, seafood special was prawn stuffed plaice - divine.
D. M.
Nice atmosphere and everyone in our group loved the food. The ham was a popular dish but everything looked great. My wife really enjoyed the veggie pie.
P. I.
Lovely food and staff.
R. K.
Good food

Had a boxing day mea . Was so delicious roast dinner .coudnt fault the food at all. Hubby paid by card
waiter asked did we want to add our tip to the bill bit taken aback as we would like to decide if we where going to tip or not
J. M.
I will definitely recommend Darcys to any traveller. It's a great environment with that cool pub feel you're probably yearning for in your trip to the UK and Ireland. Great service, delicious food, and a very cool vibe. The seafood and lamb dishes topped off by some guiness or local beers will treat you right.
We were travelling from the states and had arrived to Belfast later than expected causing us to miss our reservation. However, the staff were very accommodating and sat the three of us down to a wonderful meal. We had several seafood appetizers, including mussels and one with oysters, that were so tasty and fresh. My companions are not normally seafood lovers but even they were scarfing these down. The entrees for us included lamb dishes which were all great (shank and stew). For drinks, we of course had guiness but also some local ciders and IPAs per our waiters recommendation, which were all top notch.
P. C.
Found this place when looking for somewhere to take Australian relatives visiting Belfast. Thought it sounded good based on reviews and was not disappointed. Great food (especially the pies) in a quirky atmosphere with local produce and friendly service. Would definitely go back!
M. S.
A great place to have a great meal, enjoy a drink and have a chat with friends. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Not brilliant for wheelchair users as the toilets are upstairs.
J. F.
Amazing food. Brilliant menu. Good service. Will Defo come back. Nice realistic prices. Thanks
G. M.
Excellent food and excellent service as always
S. B.
Lovely staff, Lovely food couldn't recommend more.

D. O.
We visited Belfast on a Game of thrones tour this was the last experience restaurant we dined in but by far the best on our stay! If you want value for money and excellent food you can't go wrong here all the food was amazing!
F. A.
Compact basic restaurant, providing excellent food and indeed service, albeit with only modest on street parking available.
Well worth a visit, if you enjoy good wholesome food at reasonable prices. I will be back !
L. S.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Had the Cheese Cornbread to start and the Irish Stew and Beef Pie for our main and it was beautiful - highly recommend, especially for a couple 😊 thank you to the lovely waitresses that served us!
L. M.
Great place we discovered on an evening stroll during our recent visit to Belfast. We found it so good that I wrote the "Belfast News" suggesting it was worthy of note and a mention in their dining section. Must be a busy news week since never received a reply.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and very reasonable.
A MUST in Belfast!
C. W.
This absolute unicorn does the impossible: deliver a terrific selection of vegan and animal based options, and have all of them taste fantastic. Highlights are the heavily laden seafood chowder, various hearty pies and rich chicken fillet for the the carnivores; the vegan Wellington and cottage pie are exceptional.
M. O.
Fantastic little Bistro, best meal I have had in Belfast
T. D.
The food is always amazing here. Staff are so friendly. Only issue is to many tables in such a small venue. A few less tables and this place is unbeatable
Д. «. Л.
Well, 10 out of 10 for me!! Must try, especially the stew!!!
Q. Z.
Great stew, love the bread that goes with the stew too. Nice and cozy interior, best food I've had so far in Northern Ireland. I wouldn't mind if they charge more on the stew for more lamb (:
J. A.
Fantastic food and service. I had the vegan Wellington, super tasty and the avocado starter(also from the vegan menu) delicious! Very reasonably priced
D. P.
Pure great. Very nice food, great service and really considerate to those with allergies/intolerances. The Raspberry Ruffle Cheesecake is amazing!

C. B.
Lovely staff and delicious food. Can't wait to come back 🙂
R. V.
Good food, nice vibe. Cheap dinners if you go early (£7.77 or £10.95 after 7pm) and a range of drinks. I had the honey roasted ham with veggies which was delicious.
V. L.
highly recommend the seafood chowder and lamb shank.
Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here.
And that's why I'm giving my first Google feedback just for this restaurant!
S. M.

Went to this fantastic little restaurant 2 nights out of the 4 we were in belfast! The £7.77 deal is great, where there are several main courses on the menu for this price before 7pm! Food was delicious and friendly service! We will return!!
J. S.
Beautiful food and lovely staff. Felt very at home here!
J. M.
Great simple real food & service, in a bijou contemporary location, albeit without any off street parking. This charming culinary gem is well worth a visit ...
N. S.
This was our first visit to Darceys and we wasn't disappointed. Staff were very friendly and welcomed us as soon as we stepped in the door. Plenty to chose from on the menu and good portion sizes. Wish we had found this place sooner
R. S.
Great restaurant popular with both locals and visitors from farther afield. Close to quite a few of Belfast's best entertainment spots, so it makes a good starting point for a night on the town.
P. W.
Reasonably priced traditional Belfast food including Irish stew. Cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Bookings essential I would imagine since busy on a very rainy Tuesday.
K. H. F.
The local friend who introduced us to Darcy's said "its like you're at home, you half expect your mum to bring dinner into the kitchen." Sure enough, it is warm and cozy, intimate and comfortable (and affordable.) Add comfort food to that and its even better. We enjoyed our smoked salmon and steak with Bushmills sauce!
T. G.
Amazing food every time we go, great staff, great cocktails, wine etc great atmosphere...it has never disappointed.
M. W.
After my simply excellent meal the night before at another restaurant in town, Darcy's had a lot to live up to. I ordered a Tomato Soup as a starter, which was very tasty, and a Chicken Supreme as a Main, which was also very nice. I am in two minds whether to award Darcy's with a 4 or 5* rating, as I feel it deserves something in between, but given the excellent prices here I have gone for a 5* review.
M. O.
Great service, excellent food, had a good time supposed to be 6 unfortunately only 2 went, but 6 of us going Sunday for meal, even though it was busy, staff was very inventive
