As a Michelin-recommended restaurant, it is excellent. The food is great and you can get enough to eat. The service attitude is great and the food is healthy. The restaurant also offers a vegetarian menu.

The whole meal was way too good to be true. I totally understand why Home is a Michelin restaurant. The Thursday 3-course menu was genuinely incredible. I highly recommend the Seared Squid, the Braised Duck Ragu and the Chocolat Fondant. All the flavor combinations were harmonious and perfectly well-executed. Last but not least, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Well done!

Came across this restaurant from googling Vegan Belfast and was pleasantly surprised at their extensive menu. The air con was a welcome relief and not too cold which was great. Lots of live plants and nice music at a good volume. Our server, Anna, was extremely attentive. She carried the cutlery over in a wicker tray and laid them out nicely (instead of the usual dump and run) and was very good at topping up the bottle of water. The napkins were actual linen rather than paper which was nice. The table perhaps needs replaced due to damage (pictured). Think the wall also needed a good clean and repaint as well as the canvas artwork repaired (also pictured). Usually I wouldn’t be so fussy but I think if you’re associated with Michelin, there needs to be a bit of a higher standard and they’re easy fixes. The food was lovely, came out very quickly! We both had the celeriac burgers which were nice but think they could have had tomatoes and/or gherkin in it but it was a bit one dimensional with just the celeriac for me. The brownie was nice too. I appreciated that it was real vanilla ice cream (can tell with little black dots throughout). **there is a 10% gratuity added to every table automatically** There is a very good gluten free menu also. All in all, worth checking out.

I'll start by saying that we had a lovely meal accompanied by great service. The atmosphere was good without being too loud which suits me well! Now to the food. I went out on a limb with my starter and choose the tofu as I had never had it before and I do like to try new things. I now know that tofu is not for me! Nothing to do with the cooking of it, I find the texture disagreeable and I don't need it in my life. If you don't try different things then you won't know! Moving on to the main. I had the crispy pork and this was right up my street! The mustard sauce was full flavoured without being overpowering and there was plenty of it which pleased me no end. Gnocchi were light and fluffy and choucroute (french sauerkraut) was a welcome addition. I didn't know what it was until I saw it on the plate! Also, the slices of morteau sausage ( french smoked sausage) added another dimension to the dish. The pork itself was like an escalope or schnitzel and was top notch! For me this dish really hit the spot! To finish I had poached pineapple in cardamom syrup with coconut sorbet. For me this was light and refreshing and the perfect way to finish a meal. My wife had the sticky toffee pudding. She confirmed that it was up there with the best she's had. I don't know as she refused to share it! If you have read this review and you're into your food then I would say give Home a go, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely go back, although I will start with the goat cheese and leave the tofu to the vegans! Thanks!

Five star service with a five star menu. Different diets are catered for across the extensive menu which offers delicious meals at a competitive price. There are two and three course fixed price meals as well as a regular dinner menu to choose from. Good selection of wine and spirits. The venue is warm and inviting and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend a visit.

Visited over the weekend and for the most part had a great evening. Food was fantastic and the menu choices were extensive. Prices were very reasonable also for the high quality of food. The only concern is in relation to how the restaurant handled a member of our party's dietary requirements. When ordering, it was requested that one meal was served without meat as the guest did not eat meat - this was not a problem for the restaurant. However when the food was delivered to the table, this dish in question was served on a bed of meat. Raising this with the waitress, the meal was taken back to the kitchen and returned within 2 minutes. When querying if a fresh dish had been prepared with the waitress, she admitted that it was not, and the meat was simply removed from under the rest of the dish and disposed of. Deeply concerning, however once raised with management a fresh dish was prepared (which was delicious, so I'm told). There was no apology made by the manager on duty to the guest, just a few light hearted quips that the food won't be long. No offer of a drink for the single patron to enjoy while waiting on the food to be prepared either. Unfortunately, it meant that the majority of the party had finished their meals by the time the replacement dish was delivered. All that being said the food was fantastic and delicious, I would just be weary returning based on the experience of how the unfortunate situation was handled by management.

Since the reopening of Belfast, I've been a few places where the service was awful. Not Home! From being greeted and seated, the service was nothing but perfect. Our server Richard knew the menu, was attentive, friendly and good craic. We shared a mezze board and tear and share bread to start, then stuck between 3 dishes, I took the recommendation of the duck which was also perfect. Friends enjoyed the chicken too, while the sweet potato fries and parmesan fries were excellent accompaniments. Really enjoyable meal and a place I would recommend which certainly hasn't dropped its standards over the last 18 months.

Treated to a birthday dinner at Home restaurant, me and my partner have never been before and I can speak for us both when I say this was the most amazing experience!! From the service throughout the whole night and the food itself. Service staff couldn’t be more friendly and caring towards customers, always smiling and even chatting to us at the table when serving, I have never had such good customer service in any other restaurant I’ve been too. They even wished me a happy birthday which made all the difference for my night!! The food itself was beautifully cooked and so flavourful, there was something on their menu for everyone. Where to begin... The food was amazing. I had the sea bass, it was great, others in my group had the boeuf bourguignon and pheasant, all the dishes were just... great. I had the rice pudding for dessert, even though i hate prunes. soaking them in whiskey apparently does the trick. The combination was delicious!! The service was so great. The only better service I've had in my life was at a 2 star michelin restaurant. Oh yeah, and did I mention I have coeliac disease? The poor things had to make sure everything was gluten free and be certain there was no cross contamination. And they did so, with no need for other words than "I have coeliac" when I ordered my food. I cannot praise this food and service highly enough. Me and the guys I was having dinner with, we were all amazed, and they have absolutely no interest in gluten free food. The Home kitchen staff being able to make good gluten free food seems to be just a byproduct of them being able to make great food! And how amazing is that?!?

Beautifully paired flavours! The food at Home Restaurant was delicious! They seem to be able to cater to just about any food allergy or dietary requirements which was nice to see. I got the falafel and it was exploding with a variety of flavours all of which complimented each other. The staff there were great and very friendly. Pretty cool vintage decor with various paintings to look at too.

Went there for dinner. Unfortunately, I think it's been slightly over hyped. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff (albeit not super attentive), but the food was very average. I had the pumpkin ravioli and it was al dente bordering on not cooked, so very chewy and not much flavour. The sticky toffee pudding was good but wasn't blown away.

Fantastic spot. Right around the corner from my work. Really lovely food. Much better than the many average restaurants around the place. Had the Cod Goujons for main and Sticky Toffee Pudding for desert. Despite not having normal peas (only mushy - what's appealing about mushy?) The main was excellent. Very flavoursome and not too filling. Desert was also marvelous - very toffee flavoured as one would expect and lovely creamy ice cream. Friendly staff, very polite and not overly attentive (like in the US) - keen to ensure all is well with your meal. Can't comment on the value for money as I wasn't paying but it was simply outstanding. Will be back very soon!

This was a pop up that was so good it became a permanent stay. Worth a visit for having a great selection of local produce dishes and a relaxed feel. For years Home has been one of my favourite restaurants in Belfast. It has an excellent menu catering for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free folk as well as carnivores. However the last two times I have been I have left both disappointed and annoyed. This was partly due to the food but primarily because of the poor and rude service. The people greeting and serving water were all lovely but the last two visits I have had an extremely rude waiter. On both visits I was with groups of friends who were all polite and ordering three courses from the a la carte menu. The waiter answered any queries sarcastically or not at all. When I asked if I could have chunky chips instead of fries he told me fries were chips and rolled his eyes. I worked as a waitress when I was younger and know how hard a job it can be but there was no reason for the amount of rudeness we received. We had difficulty getting his attention to order a drink and he on at least two occasions walked away without answering questions. The food was also extremely salty. I actually had to send back my ravioli as neither I or my friend could eat it. Very disappointed with the decline in home.

Nice to see somewhere that caters to everyone and doesn't scoff at vegetarians by giving them a single choice of an unoriginal vegetable curry/ wrap. Seriously a lot of restaurants could take note. I ate here at short notice because I am strictly coeliac and was attracted by the dedicated gluten free menu. Staff were really great, the food was very tasty and I didn’t have any problems. Hurrah. It’s not particularly expensive either for the centre of Belfast. There is an excellent selection of whiskey too, although a better gluten free beer might be a gentle suggestion - perhaps something from Magic Rock brewery? The atmosphere is relaxed, it’s a great environment, the background classic rock music felt a little incongruous but it wasn’t very loud so I barely noticed it and other customers seemed to be more into that vibe. I will certainly be back.

Visited here for second time on a Saturday night. Flavours of food are so scrumptious, even if veg was underdone. Service however was unexceptional, especially for the price of the restaurant (didn't feel this way last time we visited though) Toilets need attention though a bit more shabby than chic, just when the rest of the place is so nice this really let Home down. For the price you expect those little things to be a little more polished. Will go back but probably for a lunch next time rather than for dinner.

Quirky, city centre restaurant with a simple but delicious menu. Very close to city hall, Grand Opera House, Ulster Hall etc. Though very much city centre, once through the doors you will easily forget that detail! Amazing food with great vegetarian (and vegan) options. They have complete vegetarian and vegan menus full of excellent dishes. The shoulder of lamb on flatbread was wonderful, covered in a tasty harrisa sauce and mixed with roasted veg. It came with fries, which seemed a bit unnecessary as everything else was very substantial and well balanced. A very good wine list and some beers on tap. The staff were very helpful and friendly and made for a really enjoyable dining experience. It was so good that we went back for lunch!

Our table felt rushed including not bring allowed to wait for my friend who was in the bathroom to return - the staff did explain they had another booking but they really should have told us this at the beginning rather than at the end. We were there for around 2 hours - I'd consider this pretty standard for 3 courses.

The falafel burger with sweet potato fries was delish and one of the best we've had. Having travelled a lot and experienced different veggie dishes, we would definitely recommend you stop by. 18th Nov 2018 Restaurant was freezing cold (7pm). Heating system was broken. 13 out of 30 customers were so cold that they had to leave their coats on. If this restaurant has been closed for 3 weeks, due to maintenance problems.....why was it reopened before the heating system was fixed? Several small fan heaters could have helped block the icy chill coming from the WC area. If we customers had been warned about the lack of heat, we could have tried an alternative restaurant. Food was great and staff were very friendly and efficient. Probably would not return as hard wooden seats were uncomfortable and lighting in the restaurant was either too bright or too dark. Pricing however was good.

As a vegetarian it is rare to be presented with as much choice as you get at 'Home' -- they have a whole separate menu of only vegetarian dishes. These can either be ordered as a starter, or as a larger main course, at different prices. However, I would strongly recommend that you start with the bread basket; the Home-made bread was some of the best I have had. The main course -- I choose the pumpkin ravioli -- was exquisite, and a generous portion. My friend and I also ordered a large side order of sweet potato fries, which was lovely but meant we ended up with far more food than we could eat! Unless you are truly ravenous, a small side order will probably do for two people.
