Absolutely perfect for dinner!
Very good attention, tasty and well prepared dishes with affordable prices.
Came for dinner and left completely satisfied and longing to return.
Totally recommended!
A. J.
Stunning restaurant with a fab food and drinks menu! The food is unreal and I was very impressed. I was even more impressed that it was reasonably priced considering the quality of service and menu. Will 100% be back!

Had pre theatre dinner at Howard Street restaurant last night with three girlfriends, Absolutely stunning food first class service from attentive waiters. We had chowder and goats cheese and pate for starters, beef cheek tagliatelle, fish cakes for mains. Was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. An overall amazing evening. Thank you Howard street

We had an outstanding Christmas dinner here! The Staff are lovely and the food you can really tell has that extra level of care placed into it I really recommend trying it out.
Just visited again recently for my 30th birthday outstanding food and customer service it’s one of the best in belfast in my opinion top notch!

First time dining here, and hopefully not the last. This restaurant is fine dining at its best. I had the duck, my daughter had the beef cheeks and we finished off with creme brulee, oh, and a cocktail each. Everything was delicious and the staff were very attentive and courteous. If I could have given this restaurant 10 stars I would.
S. M.
I can’t fault one bite of our meal.
Delicious from starter to dessert and the white chocolate passion fruit Martini was exceptional. Service was very professional with a personality to go with it.
This is how every restaurant should be run. Very reasonable price’s considering the quality of the food.
It was a busy New Years Eve as well, so even more difficult to pull it of. Well done everyone and a big thank you to the Chef!
D. D.
Food and service was excellent. I'm pregnant and they had a great selection of non alcoholic cocktails. Will definitely be returning on my next trip up from Dublin.

Lived in Belfast for 4 years and this was always my choice for a reliably delicious meal and a great drinks selection. The staff are always friendly and very efficient. The surroundings are smart and warm with a nice clientele. It's not food for fashion or effect so no truffle oil chips or quadruple fried chips (hint: chips need frying once, if they must be fried at all.) The desert portions are almost too generous (ie: perfect) and there's a great pre-theatre menu. Sorry I couldn't take a pic of my main course. It was beef cheek spaghetti and...well it melted in my grateful mouth.
S. K.
Amazing food at this restaurant! Every course was truly delicious and carefully curated. Definitely a refreshing meal from all the pub food we had from UK. We felt that the menu was affordable as well.
N. S.
Food is very good quality and reasonably priced, staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient and the restaurant itself manages to be both classy and relaxed. Thoroughly recommended all round.
S. S.
Pre-theatre menu was perfect for 3 weary tourists! We each had a starter, a main, a soft drink and shared a side of veg, came to £71. I had blue cheese beignets starter; the presentation was absolutely beautiful! Smooth creamy blue cheese paired with pear was a real treat. My main was slow cooked beef cheeks with tagliatelle; the meat was so tender, pasta perfectly cooked with a rich tomato sauce (quite spicy). Other dishes ordered included the fishcake which was full of flavour and served in a chowder type sauce, soup and a main of hake with celeriac mash. Service was friendly and prompt.
R.
Friendly and lovely staff. They are very accommodating to food intolerances. The food was exotic. They asked for feedback and were open to it. Would definitely visit again.
J. W.
Lovely dinner with a colleague at Howard Street.
Food was very tasty and service was top notch. Though starter portions were slightly on the small size.
Prices were reasonable costi g c.£65 before tip for 2 with drinks included.
Would definitely head back here if in Belfast again!
S. S.
Wonderful experience waiter Chris excellent and so knowledgeable about all the food and drinks service splendit food and choices amazing! And 10% service added to bill will be back again many thanks folks

Super evening for my dad's 75th birthday. Everyone's food was exceptional. Nice vibe in the building. Great Casual Belfast restaurant with fantastic food.
C. M.
Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere. Hard to beat for a quality pre theatre experience
F. M.
MY ABSOLUTE FAV RESTAURANT!!!!!!! 😍 Marty and his Team have it sooooo right. From decor to ambience to first class customer service and of course the outstanding mouth watering food. Always a pleasure to go back as soon as I can. 😍
J. C.
Very nice food. Nicely presented and full of flavour. Not a fan of the pork scratching from the pork belly dish as it had absolutely no flavour. Wish they had Guinness on tap too (yes, I'm a tourist). The chips were fantastic. The dessert was great, the chocolate one especially.
A. D.
One of the most wholesome dining experiences I've had in a long while. All three courses were fantastic and the cocktails were really well made. Staff were lovely and there was a good vibe about the place. Handy location too for those taking the train. Would recommend to anyone!
R. G.
Excellent! Food was really tasty and the service was very good. I ordered extra veg after the main had arrived and they brought it out very quickly. Sticky toffee bread and butter pudding was a dessert highlight.
m. k.
We went with friends to eat here, everything was amazing from when we walked in til we left. The food, the staff, the COVID-19 safety aspects were fantastic. We felt very welcome, a lovely place to go too.
M. H.
My wife and I had a meal here this evening. Wow what a place to eat.The food was amazing. Starters Main course and Desserts were some of the best we have ever had.The Staff were really friendly and efficient. The place itself was really relaxing and spotless.
Each table and seating was cleaned after diners had left.
I cannot recommend this Restaurant highly enough
Will definitely be back
Well done to all involved
D. H.
Great food, lots of interesting beers, great service
M.
Lovely food, good atmosphere, very nice staff and good Covid measures.
D. I.
Been meaning to go to Howard Street for quite some time. My girlfriend and I caught the pre theatre menu, which was 20 quid for courses. Food was impeccable I got ham hock starter with smoked mackerel main, she got paté and massaman curry. All four dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted great. Will most definitely be back!
N. S.
The best restaurant in Belfast, I would definitely recommend visiting
D. Y.
Fantastic top quality food and great table service
L. C.
Had an excellent lunch. Food was fantastic.
A. M.
OMGoodness. Our first experience of eating out since 20.12.20 (our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebrated in the same place) Service, food and ambiance 100% satisfactory. Felt like lock down hadn't happened, worth every penny. I would totally recommend at least one visit. You will go back time and time again.
R. S.
Great (unusual) veggie options, nice to have something different that a veg curry/risotto/pasta
P. C. R.
The best meal I had in Belfast (and in the entire U.K. for that matter) was a vegetarian dish called Spiced Puy Lentils. Whether you're a meat eater like me or a vegetarian you need to try this one. Staff was exceptionally accommodating too.
S. I.
Food amazing as always. Unfortunately staff not as attentive or helpful as previous visits. Will go back in the hope that staffing issues are sorted, but won't go back a third time if there is not a distinct improvement.
J. D.
Food was excellent. The service from Lloyd was outstanding.
S.
Chowder was delicious, staff pleasant. Dry rump for main was soso but overall a good experience
P. C.
Nice adherence to social distancing. French onion soup was delicious and scallops cooked perfectly. Steak was good, but neither I nor my partner were given a steak knife. Chips not particularly great and onion rings were a bit tasteless and underseasoned. Great service and a good meal
E. T.
Food amazing, staff wonderful with one girl remembering us from previous visits and going out of her way to ensure we could enjoy conversation undisturbed by music. Price of wine really all that stood between 4 and 5 stars. I can understand that this may be the price we must pay in these days of Covid 19 but it will take some getting used to.
J. M.
Me and my partners favourate place to eat. Fantastic food everytime!
g.
Very delicious food, amazing atmosphere, perfect staff, highly recommended
S. D.
Went here for a booked dinner, worth booking ahead as it is very busy. Service was great and the food is fantastic unfortunately there was no venison when we ate but the rib eye was a great alternative choice!
J. M.
Amazing food, great ambience.
Full COVID precautions being adhered to, good to see.
K. C.
Delicious dinner! Such a nice atmosphere and attentive staff.
R. W.
Friendly staff. Excellent service. The food is out of this world. Flavours and cooking impeccable. Probably the best prawn and monkfish curry I've ever had. None of the puddings were overly inspiring so we passed on third course.
C. G.
My wife and I ate at Howard Street for the umpteenth time today and the experience was as good as ever. Our starters were the French onion soup and the seafood chowder. For mains we had the massaman curry and the confit of pork belly. Each dish was of the highest standard, as usual, and the value for money was excellent. Unlike other establishments, the portions were more than adequate.
A special mention for the staff, who were friendly and attentive without being in our faces. Even in these difficult times the atmosphere was good. I cannot recommend Howard Street highly enough.
Z. P.
Food was good but nothing felt exceptional
A. A.
Staff were lovely and food tasted nice. However, it felt like presentation meant more than anything and was pretentious for the sake of it - my salad was served squashed into a glass jar with a lid which just seemed pointless. Food tasted good though. Not a lot on offer drinks wise in our opinion. Thought the portion sizes were just right.
J. T.
What a fantastic 👏 place .ate here last night with four family ,great food delightful staff loved the decor can't praise it enough will defo be back .
S.
Myself and my fiancé had a lovely meal at Howard Street. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was beautiful and we couldn't fault the starters, mains, desserts or drinks at all. We will definitely be back and also recommend it to friends and family.
M. M.
Outstanding. A most glorious meal.... on a Monday.... in Belfast. We hugely enjoyed the ambience, the faultless service on this really lovely, industrial chic - styled restaurant. Our starter of Prawn Yom Tum Soup was truly remarkable. I cannot think I ever tasted a better soup. Smoked Cod main course and a Ballotine of Chicken delighted us. A beautiful restaurant.... to recommend.... to revisit
D. S.
Food was good. It was our first time in this resturant and the city. My first time in Europe. We had to ask for things but they were good at bringing them as quick as possible. They probably thought we were very needy people. We did not understand the portion sizes and ordered more food than we needed. We asked a to go box like we do it in America. They said, we are not allowed to take left over food home. However, we enjoyed our visit to this restaurant.
H. A.
Excellent menu. Food so flavourful and staff very pleasant. Every effort made to conform with current social restrictions. Only downside is that only 1hr 45min allocated to booking. Overall very enjoyable.
J. M.
Table easy to book on-line - just an hour before we arrived. The food was excellent, even the vegetable side order was really tasty. Portion sizes were perfect. Wine list short but good quality and affordable. Waiter service was timely and responsive. Good location. Overall an excellent dining experience. Would definitely recommend.
E. B.
Hospitality was excellent.
The food was great and ambiance was also good.
The only small complaint would be that when you ordered drinks should it be a bottle of wine to a beer it was slow to arrive.
But in the end of the day we were only there for the food.
Excellent.
A. E.
Clean and beautiful boutique restaurant. Local foods available. Fish, chicken, meat foods are delicious. Lavatory is soo small, I can't wash my hands. Service is fast. You can choose your steak's cooking degree and they heating the plates before serving. Price is not bad. One person 25-30 pounds arrange.
T. N.
Lovely restaurant, lovely food but staff not wearing masks. A little disconcerting when they got so close but maybe thats just me at the moment. We were in Chinese last week and the staff all wore masks and didn't come into your space and felt good to be out. Just saying......
J. W.
I really enjoyed the food, staff were not the freindliest... Well not to a chap wearing trainers... But once settled in and ordered some good food and good wine they relaxed a bit... No goodbye either on way out... Spolit it for me but I'm sure if you are a big group dressed up they would smile!
E. O.
Food was amazing staff attentive and friendly best part the crumble
N. B.
Great food and cocktails!
L. R.
Amazing food, service, staff and atmosphere
J. B.
Korean pork for starter and pork belly for main was delicious while the Apple and Berry crumble for dessert was very tasty
A. H.
Lovely food and great service.
S. M.
Great food, nice atmosphere, attentive staff, first time eating out in the post Covid era, good place to start.
S. M.
Great quality food but absolutely no excuse for portion sizes. My wife does not have a large appetite but was ready for another meal by the time we got home. Paid a £5 supplement for a sirloin steak and although well cooked it was tiny like a supermarket minute steak. If you're expecting adult portions you'll be disappointed.
B. M.
Great interior! Food was lovely, reasonable and waiters were very attentive. On the down side not a lot of toilets and the Steak dinner shud really include veg with a £5 supplement. Really enjoyed the cocktails
J. S.
Food was excellent lovely atmosphere staff friendly
J. R.
One of my favourite restaurants in town food is beautiful very tasty and not over priced. Great atmosphere in the place with very helpful pleasant staff .the stick toffee bread pudding with Christmas cake filling was unreal
A. W.
No more words are needed. All dishes we had were fantastic. Typical Irish cooking but everything in detail so nicely prepared. From the ox cheeks and the pork belly to the plumbs meringue and apple crumble... highly recommended. Go there if you are in Belfast.
T. O.
Amazing food every time I've been and the staff are all very friendly and helpful! Such a shame they've been forced to close due to coronavirus restrictions but will definitely be back again when they reopen!
K. S.
Have ate here a couple of times and really like it. The menu is great, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and they have a good selection of cocktails. Even when I have been with a group of 40+ people the staff were really attentive and we didn't have to wait long for food.
A. C.
Last minute booking and we scored ourselves a table at Howard Street - super excited!
Seafood chowder for my starter...I have no words, the chowder was ah-mazing! Lots of chunky bits of meat and a delicious soup, so so good.
Main of steamed haddock also hit the spot, I couldn’t pick the flavor, but I didn’t want this piece of fish to end! It was so tasty!!
That’s when things went a little pear shaped...dessert was ordered, I was so keen for this dish, after the deliciousness that was the rest of my meal...after waiting 15-20 mins we asked the passing waiter where our food might be and it turned out that unfortunately the waiter that had taken our order had forgotten to put it in the system.
So, with places to be, we asked that our order was cancelled and the team happily obliged.
Due to the mixup, the manager (I think) offered sincere apologies and a further discount to our meal. Have to say, this mix up was handled extremely well and the whole outcome - other than missing out on dessert - was a pleasant one rather than a disappointing one.
Still giving 5 stars as the food and service prior to our dessert mishap was fantastic!
Will definitely be recommending Howard St to friends, maybe with a comment of keep an eye on the timing of your food...just in case...
:)
B. T.
Just brilliant. Food, staff just awesome. Loved it. Thanks to all the staff at Howard Street.
G. H.
Has a gastro pub type atmosphere. Is usually very busy but the tables are laid out great for big parties. The food is fantastic, focus is on quality over portion size but it would be hard to leave hungry. Beer selection is good and the wines I tried from the list were delicious. One of the better venues to eat in Belfast.
E. C.
Great food selection. Food was served hot even though it was extremely busy the service was quick and the food quality excellent . Nice atmosphere
B. D.
Lovely, been here a number of times now and it never fails. The staff are extremely friendly, the food is beautiful. If you are in make sure to try the salt n chilli pork it's epic lol.
I would say to reserve beforehand as it can be quite busy, especially at the weekends!
A. M.
Great place for dinner and they are very happy to have large groups. There is a good wine and cocktail list too.
Have been here a few times for work dinners and have not been disappointed.
D.
Really enjoyed our experience here. We were in early to avail of the pre-theatre menu with cocktail.
The food was delicious and first class quality. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Would definitely go back.
S.
I made a mistake by booking the wrong day but Daryl couldn't do enough to try and fit us in.
Our food was delicious and the cocktails are just amazing. Thank you so much team, this is how restaurants should be.
C. S.
Delicious food! Also, considering It was a lot of food & drink it was a lot cheaper(ish) than I had expected.
M. F.
Fantastic food. Each dish was an amazing experience in its self. Only draw back is how noisy it got. Acoustics are the only reason this is not a 5 star. Staff where lovely too!!
S. C.
Great food, great staff. A little noisy inside if you're going for 'intimate dining'. Definitely recommended, stacks up well against the best Belfast has to offer.
s. c.
One of my favourite restaurants in Belfast. Really good selection on the menu and good vegetarian options that are actually flavorsome. Verging on the pricier side, but worth every penny
C. 7.
Really good vibe. Excellent food and comfortable surroundings. Not the easiest to get a table at short notice but that's a positive in my book.
J. M.
Food was amazing so tasty good portions staff really nice snd pleasant definitely will be back this was our 2nd time do not disappoint
C. M.
Had a lovely dining experience here. Good food, attentive staff. Restaurant was busy but at no time did we feel rushed . Will I be back again. Defo.
a. c.
Fantastic food and service. The waitress was unbelievable knew the menu extremely well very impressed
P. F.
Lovely friendly restaurant staff so welcoming and fantastic food experience. We had a great mixture of both vegetarian dish and meat dishes and all came beautifully presented Well done to all involved.
A. C.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the center of Belfast. Some friends and I recently had the pre-theater menu, £25 for three courses mid-week. Probably the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant - one of the friends I was with said the same thing. Although we had the pre-theater deal there was no one chasing us out of our seats and the service was efficient and friendly. The only negative comment I have is that it's always very loud - I think it must be something to do with the acoustics since it seems that way even when it's far from full.
J. A.
For the love of God, please try the Tom Yum Thai prawn soup they have there, you will not regret it, I will guarantee you it will be the best soup you have ever had. Aside from that, the staff are very friendly but the food is on the expensive side with not so filling portions. I would recommend this restaurant as a must visit if you're ever in Belfast.
B. K.
Food was absolutely outstanding, staff are amazing. The place has a great bustling atmosphere, still with a laid back charm. Great for groups and couples alike.
R. M.

awesome little place. I had the best bottle of red wine there but I just cant remembers the name of it. a must place to visit
N. G.
Nice food, good solid cooking, cool atmosphere, fair value for money..disappointed my watercress didn't appear with my dish as kitchen did not notify at time of ordering that they didnt have any, however my spinach worked fine..my only other gripe is the lack of good extra virgin olive oil in NI restaurants these days...poor Pomace was offererd, not really what you want with a classy bowl of pasta!! or if it ain't that it's normally rapeseed!!!..what happened to Alfredo Cetrone!!
K. B.
Amazing food. Lovwd this place and would've to go again
M. M.
Decent enough menu, no surprises, reasonably priced, and always popular. Good food served well. Can't ask for more

H. G.
Nice food, good service but portions very small
F. S.
Staff were friendly. Food was lovely. Pre-theatre was great value for money. Cocktails delicious.
C. C.
A bit pretentious to be fair. The fish in my curry was not good at all; put me in mind of something that might have been scraped up off the floor at St George's.
S. S.
This place is astoundingly good. exceptional service, wonderful food and drink. Real luxury, but not at a luxury price.
A. F.
Delicious food, fast (without being pushy) friendly service. Will definitely be back again 😊

(Translated) The food was great, but it could have been a little more for the price.
Friendliness was a bit fake and not really recommended with (small) children.
(Original)
Essen war super allerdings hätte es ruhig ein bißchen mehr sein dürfen bei dem Preis.
Freundlichkeit war etwas aufgesetzt und mit (Klein)Kind nicht wirklich zu empfehlen.

(Translated) My fish and chips were delicious but in Scotland it was better (very crunchy pannade). But the pea purée was world class. The steak was heavenly. There was also free water. From the outside not so easily recognizable (have passed). Although it was full, everything went pretty fast.
