If you go in with very high expectations then you may be disappointed. The service is quick and the store is clean, although can be busy. Good selection of items on the menu also. It is a good place to grab a quick bite. My donner burger was very tasty and the chips were perfect. The dips are a little pricey but you get a good quantity. Overall its a good meal for a relatively good price. Wouldn't mind visiting again.

Southern fried chicken burger tasted like a cheap cut of meat, very odd overly peppery taste and the general taste of the meat was exactly the same as some other low quality budget places I have eaten at. Was edible and somewhat nice but would not order the burger again. The chips on the other hand, amazing. By far some of the best classic tasting chips I have ever had. The service was friendly, easy and fast and the forks with tissue inside a little packet are very handy. Sauces cost a bit but theres a decent selection so that's fine. Overall, okish food but exactly what it advertises. Just a glamourised local chippy so don't expect a ton, hence the 3 stars as the food is just not a wow factor.

One of the nicest and cleanest Big John's I've been in, the young lad who served us was very helpful. He called us over when our food was done. Although it was busy with people coming and going there was plenty of seats inside. Food was nice and tasty and I had a milkshake that was thick and how I'd expect my milkshake to be. We popped in there on our way to town and didn't fancy stopping in town for something to eat as its always so busy, I'd have a take away from there or definitely go in there again. Thank you.

It was my first time visiting this place, and I'd never heard of it. I was surprised to see it had a drive-through, and inside was very spacious plenty of seating. I got half n half 12" pizza with every single topping. It was lovely, nice, and freshly made right in front of you. I also tried the big johns double decker burger as a meal, which was nothing special, tasted like every other place that does 1/2 pounder but perfectly serviceable. All in all, it is a lovely place to eat in with family and friends, or if you're in a rush, a quick stop by the drive-through and you'll have fast fresh food just like that.

Customer service wasn't great, could have been more friendly during interactions. Peri-peri chicken medium spice was very nice and strawberry milkshake was great!That would be my recommendation. The food is nice when they can be bothered to cook it properly. I've ordered from here on Uber eats on a few occasions and they always send the wrong sauces and drinks. They sometimes send the wrong pizza or order altogether. I don't know who they have working there but they certainly can't read. The other day they sent tartare sauce instead of mayonnaise. So, just one thing then, just follow order notes and everything should be fine.

I went and ordered big jhon today and they forgot to put in my fish and chips , so I rang up and explained to customer service , and they really helped me . The customer service was 100% , I went to the restaurant and said they forgot to put in the fish and chips , and they gave me the fish and chips and a free milkshake . Possibly the best Big Johns out there. The customer service is out of this world! They have recently renovated and now have a beautiful new store front, spacious, good food, good times and good vibes. Definitely check this place out if near by, a must to visit atleast once.

The big John's in this location is the one for me as I have been to a few and some you have difficulty finding parking as they do not come with there own car park but this one does which is very handy, and also has a drive through which I am big fan off for a quick stop. Big John's has finally started to produce decent food, they no longer serve the world's most disgusting chips, instead they're much better, actual chip shop quality. The only issue I've had is that I went to eat in a few days ago and saw a bottle of vinegar by one of the tables, but it was full of watery sanitizer. Yes it stands out because it's blue, but the fact that it's in a vinegar bottle with the label still on, someone (possibly a child) could mistaken it for vinegar and put it on their food.

Ideal if you don't want to get out of car to pick up food and the food is halal which is a bonus. The chips can be a hit or a miss and price for small chips is expensive for the amount you get. Had to stay overnight in Birmingham for work, and was recommended Big John's by the hotel. I've never been to a fast food restaurant with so much choice, and judging by the tailback to get into the drive through on a cold Monday night this place must have something to offer. If you go to Big John's for the first time take some time to study the menu because its vast. Everything is made to order. The Pizzas looked amazing and so did the fried chicken. I ordered a big sizzle and small chips, which were proper chip shop chips with salt and vinegar applied, perfect. The burger was substantial and grilled (which is the only way to cook a burger) overall I was more than satisfied and full. If I'm ever near the Birmingham City football ground or staying for work in Birmingham again I will definitely visit again and this time try a Pizza.

Not what it used to be. As they’ve grown in success & customer base - the food quality and effort has drastically slipped whilst the prices have increased. Staff turnover is high (familiar faces don’t last long) and queues are longer. I’ve waited 40minutes for a kebab which is now the norm. Queues now can go out car park and around the corner. Car parks are full of yobs in expensive cars and I’ve filmed a good three fights (one of which was up against my car 😡). Food has gone from fresh to be frozen-reheated (ask, they will tell u).salad and sauces are now charged extortionate rates if asked for separately even if you spend £20+. I ordered kebab in naan £5 something. Separate salad and sauces was +£1 for sauces (50p each) and salad was £1.50 (as THEY chose to place it in plastic storage tubs over the paper bags they used to use!) so £2.50 to have my sauce and salad separate because they splotch the sauce haphazardly everywhere? Wow. They get orders wrong 40% of the time between the order taker and order processor, so you take your time explaining it - which they clearly take offence to so you sit in the drive thru terrified that the reason they left the till after giving you your change before serving the next customer WASNT to tell the chef to mess up your food 😭. Disposed of food and rubbish are strewn EVERYWHERE from the car park, to the roads outside and EVEN the drive thru (🤷🏻‍♀️) so much so, there’s even bins along the drive thru now. You can’t tell the difference between the cats and the rats on the outskirts of the building, even carphone warehouse have done one (previously based yards away next door). Cracks heads begging for change at your car in the drive thru by the payment window next to the large collection of Uber Eats/Deliveroo/JustEat drivers squeezing through cars & jumping the queue on foot to knock the order window to ask for their deliveries - no one concerned about covid or wearing face masks. The guy serving at the order hatch not taking control and ordering the beggars to go away or telling all food couriers to collect food at the rear door. (No, there’s no notice up to direct couriers where to go). Because of the queues going out of the car park & around the corner, cars wanting to enter the car park drive into the exit way potentially causing an accident every 5 seconds as speed is no concern to them when entering through an exit-only roadway. Those queuing show their impatience by waiting on the yellow box lines blocking the drive thru exit, car park exit and the make shift exit / entrance. Big Johns are currently doing massive indoor renovations in the dine in area so based on what I’ve seen, don’t be surprised if any plaster board dust arrives on your pizza, no sense of hygiene AT ALL and no attempt to hide it through the open glass windows that you have no choice to look through as you wait after paying before collecting your food in the tight drive through. And lastly, as you leave with you food you waited an entire hour for (start to finish) be careful of the big johns own delivery vehicles returning, they park on the base section of pavement holding up the light up menu board which is as you leave the drive thru. As you leave, they enter the ONE WAY drive thru the WRONG WAY at 100mph onto that curb to park. Be careful they don’t hit you. Good luck!

This place has a large variety of fast foods from chicken and chips to burgers to pizzas. The food varies in quality (my friend's chicken burger was "excellent" whereas my chicken and chips was just "OK") but I would go back to try something else next time. Ample parking and there is a fair sized seating area but there is also a drive through option. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the food preparation area and there was no food wrappers anywhere. I didn't check out the toilets but that's because I'm just a customer, not a health inspector!

The first impression of this place is that it's so busy, it must be good. It definitely doesn't disappoint. I visited at 23.00 and the food was great. I had the chicken kebab on a naan and all the ingredients tasted really fresh. Can't fault it and I'll certainly get food from here again.

Good tasting fast food generally. Plenty of variety...fish and chips, fried or piri-piri chicken, kebabs, burgers, pizza... Prices have been going up recently, and the cheeky deals aren't really good value anymore I feel. One shouldn't really have to pay for a sachet or tub of sauce either. And if you're eating in then sauces should be available on the tables or counter...napkins too. It's the little things that count sometimes...and it's a bad economy to ignore them. To end on a good note...there's a hand washing point and separate toilets...and plenty of car parking spaces.

Food: If you keep in mind that it is fast food, then what you get is actually pretty good. Portions are generous and taste pretty good too. Service: Inside can get a little chaotic during busy periods, but the people on the tills are pretty speedy taking orders. The drive thru in my opinion can be quicker, but only if there aren't many other people using it. Verdict: A good, cheap and cheerful, take out option if you are feeling lazy.

I hadn't been here in a while thought me and the partner could get a quick bite here before heading home. Used the drive through, quick efficient (gave us all the options available with what we'd ordered)service from the staff taking our order. Cos we'd ordered pizza from the drive through it was going to take some time but we expected that as the pizzas are cooked fresh and to order. We got our order and took it home. For some reason this branch always gets the peri peri chicken spot on, we've tried all the other ones local to us but still we find ourselves coming to this branch to order our peri peri chicken, I was however disappointed with the meal deal option as we got a small drink rather than the can and we got a small box of chips rather than a regular (which is what I normally get from other big johns outlets). Its safe to say we'll be back again but won't be ordering a meal deal option again.

Not as good as it used to be. I used to like them alot before because of their variety was massive and the prices were reasonable. But now their quality seems to have gone down but their prices haven't. Last night I ordered a single burger. I dont remember the name but it was kind of new and it was oval shaped with two chicken strips in it. They always ask if you would like salad, chili, or mayo. And I said clearly to the young girl who seemed a bit too young that I dont want any chilli. She acknowledged very politely but was busy in conversation with other young girls that I dont think she even heard me. After I received my order she turned around and continued to laugh and joke with her colleagues which in my opinion is not a bad thing to do at work. I just disagree with having so much fun that you can't notice the customer waiting for service. I needed a serviette and was waiting their. She forgot to finish serving me and forgot that I was still standing there. Her subconscious must've thought that I had walked away but in fact I didnt! Eventually she noticed and I got my serviette. After leaving the big John about three minutes later I took a bite of my burger and had that disgusting tangy chili sauce infect my mouth with a horrible taste of one of the worst chili sauce tastes ever. In fact it was the base chili sauce that most fast food places use but unlike some alot of good places where they alter it to make their own signature taste big John's uses it as it comes from the cash and carry! It was horrid! That's all your honour!

Food is always consistent. Handy being able to pay by card and the choice of a drive-thru. However, just like all Big John's, they use low quality oil for frying so they're chips are poor. The main let down is at busy times - their system of having all staff work on food then serve customers when finished causes long delays.

It's a drive through and has eat in facilities,has plenty of parking. Recently have started charging extra for chillie,mayo etc tubs and removed self serve bottles from tables. Chips can be a bit of hit and miss lately,last few occasions they were cut small and thin,making them hard to eat. Staff are friendly though!

Majority of the selection is generic, but you do have your Double Decker cheese burgers which are the best I've tasted and your chicken donner which looks very nice and tastes superb, lamb donner isn't that desirable, the Southern Fried chicken is nice and crispy, they use to do real nan before now it's like a pre made nan thrown on the grill for heat and goes rubbery quick, there's disable parking, drive though is quick and convenient.

I can only share my experience of the drive thru. Which was absolutely fine. It was quick and easy and i had no problems. Food was great. Portions are big! One small issue sometimes the car park can be full of idiots but nothing big johns can control.
