Food was delicious. Service was good. We were found a table even though we hadn't booked and it was quite busy so we appreciated it very much. Sadly, I took a star off as I don't agree with having a service charge thrown onto a bill without being verbally told or asked. I am usually a very fair tipper however, I do feel people shouldn't be made to tip. We do not tip in other industries where staff earn the same/less than servers so we shouldn't have to tip when going to a restaurant. As I said I would've tipped anyway but I don't think it should just be expected of everyone. It should be a bonus to be tipped and it should reflect a good job being done. It shouldn't be regardless of how your server treats you.

To be honest, I have never had a bad meal at any branch of Bill's, but I think this one was the best! We ordered off the Valentine's set menu and every dish we had was exceptionally and surprisingly delicious!! Would highly recommend!!

Decided to eat here on Saturday night, no booking, although it was busy we were seated pretty quickly and service was fast! We had the buffalo chicken burger and a beef burger which were delicious. Would definitely recommend this place, no complaints!

The decor is absolutely lovely and the ambience is great for a lazy brunch or lunch. They have a good variety of food and drinks on the menu. The service was really good, and the food was delicious, with good size portions. It was very busy though so probably best to make a reservation before you go.

Reservations definitely necessary at the weekends unless you want to queue. Nice large restaurant with quick service and the same extensive menu that you get at every Bill's. Only slight annoyance was that they wouldn't leave the bottle of tap water at our table, so we had to ask for refills.

Me and my friends decided to visit Bills for the breakfast this week on Wednesday due to the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The staff were attentive and always on hand especially Mahesh who was very helpful. I cannot fault the service one bit. Went for a leaving party for a friend. Table of 10. The whole restaurant had run out of buns so burgers were a no go unless you wanted gluten free or naked. My steak was over cooked. Overall not great, but these are the standards for a Bills restaurant. The staff were friendly and were the best part of experience.

We arrived 15 minutes before they opened and the manager seated us until they were ready to take our order. Unfortunately the table was dirty and neither the salt shaker nor the black pepper grinder worked. I wasn't happy about the 12.5% survice charge on the bill that mentions its optional. The bill came to around 27 pounds so I was surprised when they didn't have change for a 50 pound note and that is when I complained. The manager removed the service charge and removed the charge to our drinks.

I found it difficult to decide how many stars to give my experience at Bill's restaurant, because it was a real mixed bag. My feeling upon leaving the restaurant the first time was to give it 3 stars, but I deducted one further star the second time I visited when I discovered that they stopped serving breakfast earlier than other Bill's restaurants. However, upon reviewing the photos of the food that we had on our first visit, I remembered that the Chicken and Sesame Dumplings were truly delicious and very similar to what you might get if you ordered fried dumplings actually in Asia, so I had to bump the score back up to 3 stars. Other than the dumplings, the calamari was rather tasty, with a crispy exterior and a soft inside. The mains were fine, nothing that you'll remember in a weeks time, unlike the dumplings... the Sea bass was definitely better than the chicken though. What really let the meal down though, was the Warm Triple Chocolate Brownie, which both my partner and I were tempted by, but subsequently had to try to force ourselves to eat because the taste fell far below expectations, and "warm" seemed to be defined as barely above room temperature. Other than the food, the atmosphere was fine, the service was exceptionally slow considering how quiet the restaurant was, and the toilet was fairly disgusting. Considering all this, they really shouldn't add a service charge to your bill... but they do.

Food was alright - but watch out for the bill. They added a 12.5% tip to ours without asking and we paid before we realised. Good for the servers to make some extra pocket money but I do think it's proper to ask patrons if they want to tip rather than just put it in the card machine as an assumption.

I went to at this restaurant first time 30th of July 2020, the #covid19 hygiene was so safety and they give every table one hand sanitizer which is I haven’t seen in #Birmingham any restaurants but I don’t like there the floor wasn't clean is was all the floor chips, Paper and floor were Sticky by the way the food was #yummy 😋 #Delicious so #tasty, #wonderful and the service was very bad in the restaurant there weren’t too many customers in the morning then be they take so long time to bring our drink I would like to say to all the staff looks after the customers and get full 5 stars. Always a pleasure going to Bill’s. The interior is stunning, they always serve delicious food and provide top notch customer service. I’d like to mention Hannah was absolutely exceptional and so lovely! 😊 We got the Creamy Spinach Dahl with coconut Rice. It was full of flavour and spices. The portion was huge! Almost didn’t have room for dessert but glad I finished the meal with Bill’s Flowerpot. It’s a chocolate pot with passionfruit cheesecake and chocolate soil - taste like pure bliss. 100% recommend it. Covid measures they have in place are very secure. They have hand sanitizer upon entry and a bottle on each table as well.

Bill's is a very nice place to go to if you're in the bullring, the food is really nice and the staff is amazing, they have a good team. Try to avoid busy periods though cause then the wait for your food can be long. If you don't mind the wait then u can go anytime their chefs do a fine job! Went their with some friends and we enjoyed the drinks and the food without question. Unfortunately didn't have time to take out more pictures was hungry haha! Atmostphere is vibrant most of the time peaceful place otherwise it pretty noisy deppends on the ppl in there at the time.

We went to Bill's for breakfast based on the positive reviews and enticing pictures of pancakes. I'm sorry to say that the food was quite disappointing. While the pancakes *look* amazing, they're actually quite dry. Doubling the syrup and offering a side of whipped butter would have gone a long way toward improving the dish. I will say that the fruit was fresh and tasty. The hot chocolate was very mediocre--fine, but nothing special. The appetizer mini sausages we got to round out breakfast were quite tasty, at least. Service was good. The restaurant was packed, though, so the entire meal felt a little rushed an chaotic. All in all, this is a fair food option, but you can likely find better offerings in the area.

Popped in for brunch. The restaurant was really busy, which was nice to see. We sat outside, it was nice. The brunch was tasty and large, though not cheap. I also drank a flat white, which was just a white americano, but I couldn’t be bothered to say anything. The brunch took 30 minutes to arrive and the bill took 20 minutes to arrive (after a light reminder). This is a popular place to eat, due to its location but the service could be polished; there’s nothing worse than waiting forever for a bill. Maybe bring in mobile payments, avoiding the need for a server to attend.

The staff here could not have been nicer or more accomodating. Starters and desert were really nicely cooked and tasty but two of the main courses - fish and chicken - were just terrible. Dry, overcooked and the fish was just plain burnt. N o self respecting 'chef' would let this leave the kitchen.When I had a quiet word with the waitress she said she would 'see what she could do'. I wish I hadn't said anything as the management took off the service charge ! Thus punishing the people not responsible but who actually gave great service ! I did not want to make a fuss as this was a results day treat for my daughter and she would get upset but it left me feeling that I would not go back again.

Overall I did enjoy my experience at bills. The setting was really lovely and really good standards of hygiene, I especially appreciated the sanitiser on the table. The service was also amazing, really fast and the waiting staff were really friendly. One female staff member was particularly attentive and made sure we got the most out of our experience which was really lovely. The food was somewhat ok. I was a bit disappointed with my main which was the chicken, it was not overly exciting and not something I would expect to be presented in a resteraunt and did feel like something I could make at home. The chicken itself was very dry and lacked seasoning and flavour. The other meals I had were good portions and my friend who had the vegan option really loved her meal. The drinks were absolutely delightful and made very quickly. I would definitely like to come back again but maybe try something else on the menu.

An extremely odd experience. Greeted and seater by the host in a brilliant fashion, waitress Sam - I think and someone who appeared to be fairly new, were very attentive and friendly. Food fell way below what we have come to expect from previous Bills visits. Truffle Fries was fairly 'skimping' on sauce, sausages and dumplings were ok, kids fish, two very different sizes on the plate. We asked for it all together but came out in a couple of trips after Sam noticed we were 'missing' part of our order. Paid no notice to the service charge on the bill, not objecting but not highlighted either. All in all, it was ok...

Great location and amazing halloumi sticks! Nice place to come when you're hungover as they do an amazing and quite spicy bloody Mary. Unfortunately the entrees were a bit mediocre. Would not recommend the chicken burger or the Mac n cheese. They being said, I have heard the breakfast is really nice here however you have to be sure to come before 1pm if you want to sample that menu.

Bill's breakfasts are the go to breakfast place for anyone travelling in the Bullring. Whether you're looking for pancakes, a full english breakfast, or some other type of breakfast dish this is the place to go. During my stay in Birmingham I visited on both mornings, experiencing excellent service, great food, and a minimal wait time even with decently long queues. All in all my experience at Bill's was above and beyond the best Breakfast experience I have had.

I like this place! They serve marvelous food, their menu is large, The chef in that spot is very trained, I love a lot tasting all their dishes. Drinks came fairly quickly and were cold. Waiter very attentive. Then a new waiter came along (other must’ve been on break) Ordered a sharing platter for food and after 30mins reminded this waiter about it. He replied with ‘the kitchen is very busy’ and walked off. Other waiter came back and we told him what had happened and he apologised, chased up the food and found it hadn’t been told to kitchen. We said we didn’t want it then and manager was called who gave us our drinks for free. They dealt with the situation well, it was busy but I think they were lucky we weren’t too fussed.

From salads to burgers with some Asian flavours chucked in too. Great range of drinks too. Also you could just pop in for afternoon tea after a hard fee hours shopping. We have both worked in the industry for far to long and we were happy to wait. We ordered and our food came out within 5 minutes. That's un heard of for quieter venues for your food to come out that quickly, let alone busy ones! The food was absolutely stunning (we both had eggs Benedict). The staff were absolutely lovely. I genuinely can't find a fault with our visit. Even when we were waiting to be seated we were greated by a lovely member of staff who was happy to chat with us and she kept us up dated with how long it would take us to be seated. I came here to warm up after the Christmas Markets, and it was lovely. The staff were excellent, which really makes a difference and I think they did a grand job. I had lots of questions about the menu and they were so patient. I had the halloumi salad which was substantial, and I didn't need a pudding- I was full! Customer service suffered a bit due to busy Christmas period but food was delicious. We had booked in advance for 1pm and were still waiting outside at nearly 1.10pm when another table from the long queue were let through first. We were fobbed off and told it was because they wanted us to have a nice table by the window (I would rather they were just honest). As it turned out, the table by the window had the menu so we felt like goldfish with people standing their every few minutes. Drinks took an age to come out (nothing too complicated) and arrived a few minutes before our main course. As we were finishing we realised we never received the water we had asked for. We really struggled to get anyone to come and take our payment despite attracting their attention and just got up to pay in the end. I am still giving it a 4 star as have eaten here a few times before without problems and on this occasion the food was delicious as it had always been.

My biggest issue how ever is the discretionary service charge they add onto the bill, which one would assume is a tip for your server...turns out it is not....and is in fact Bills way of getting you (the consumer) to pay for their operational costs such as uniforms, training etc, therefore enhancing their profits. Lets face it, when you pay for the food and drink consumed, the profit margin on this should pay for their operational costs....so very disappointed with Bills ethical stance on this as they are trying to make us pay twice. So enjoy the food, don't pay the service charge, and if you've had great service, leave some cash for your server on the table away from the greedy corporate hands.

Food is OK. Have been here before and found that when you are presented the bill for your food, the Optional service charge is being automatically added to your bill if you make a cash payment. Bill's should remember this is an OPTIONAL payment and should not be automatically added to a bill. This is the second time this has happened so is normal procedure here.

Not as good as other Bills I have been to unfortunately. Tables half set, felt as though they were rushed off their feet when in fact it wasn't too busy. I had the chicken with mushroom sauce & the chicken was overcooked and crispy on the top which was a shame. Broccoli cooked to perfection as was the mash but overall just not what I would class as a good Bills experience sadly.

A small army of staff. At least 3 behind the bar creating and pouring libations, 10 on the floor, galavanting around taking orders. It's all very hectic and very impersonal. Our waiter didn't smile once; in fact, he looked on the verge of a panic attack, taking down our orders while his eyes darted around the restaurant looking, I assume, for the next patron in need. Restaurants get busy, I get that, especially in a city centre, but when your food is all but slammed down in front of you without as much as a "bon appetit' it all feels a bit unfriendly, almost military. I'm sure at quieter times the waiters and waitresses are less stressed and give you the time of day. I'm not blaming them, and the food was good, no complaint there, but I left feeling like a table number and not a person.

Bill's at the Birmingham Bullring was very nice apart from the staff cheekily added on a hefty service charge even though there were only two of us dining which did rather annoy me, I'd rather leave a tip instead of being forced to pay when the waitress wasn't particularly friendly!!
