Wow the food here is top notch, I feel sad I've only just discovered this place has a guest kitchen spot at Pig and Tail but only for a few more weeks left!
Nasi goreng set meal for £13.90 was good value, very filling and it was a nice touch it came with fried chicken, crackers, sambal and a pineapple salad. Egg was cooked perfect and the rice was nice and spicy!!
Katsu curry came with chips as well
Curry puffs, a bit like a samosa, pastry very good.
Share platter with deep fried sushi. The coriander dip was so beautiful
Everything we ate was so good I cannot fault it!
I want to go back and try the other items on the menu asap!
Pig and tail is a good setting especially now they have Attic and Verdant beers on draught !

Malaysian food cooked with heart. These 2 work their socks off as a residency in the pig and tail within the Jewellery quarter. Friendly waiting staff and the pub to boot we ended up going 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. We did venture to another and less said about that the better. The pub is a generous size with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has some Malaysian classics as well as some other inspired dishes from Asia. There is a platter of starters but it is substantial for 4 never mind 2. Volcano sushi a firm favourite of the bar staff. Chicken wings are insane crispy and juicy. The turmeric chicken thighs are another level. Lucky to get sweet char siu as well on a visit charred rather just red like many in the Chinese restaurants. Nasi goreng with extra fried egg is such a treat. Shout out to the katsu cocktail a bowl of katsu chicken curry sauce and chips. Pandan chicken juicy thigh chicken. Food and service top notch.

Didnt realised it is inside a pub. Food served quick and delicious. very fresh. love the chilli.
drinks ordered from the pub itself.
there are street parking around the area for free. just need to walk for a bit. a few places have to pay. do look out.

Initially hard to find, but well worth the search. The small eatery is situated within the pigs & tail pub, so you get to enjoy the contrasting archaic British interior of the old pub whilst feasting on fresh and vibrant Malaysian cuisine.

Originally ordered food for collection but when we arrived asked if we could eat in as we didn't want the food to go cold. As it was quiet we were seated at a table and our food was brought out to us. The food was delicious and my friend who just happens to be from Malaysia said it was really authentic and reminded her of home. We also sampled one of their cocktails which was also very good. Would recommend to anyone that loves Asian food.

Absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious, fresh and takes you to Asia! The owners are skilled in many Asian cuisines and the best thing was you could literally watch them as they cook. Both Lisa and Pann are very sweet and I've never left with a negative experience! Brilliant! keept it up

To my experience, Lisa & Pann's Kitchen offers the most authentic Malaysian dishes in Birmingham. To highlight a few - Nasi Lemak, Char Kway Teow, Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Penang Laksa.
I felt honoured to be the first batch to taste the Pandan Kaya (a Pandan flavoured coconut paste). This goes particularly well with sourdough toast. The jar is easy to take away and is probably of the top-quality in the UK.
Definitely would recommend a visit, expect yourself to be welcomed by the lovely hosts Lisa, and Pann!

Really scrumptious Malaysian Food! Must try Nasi Lemak, Mamak Style stir fry noodles, Curry Puff, Roti Canai, Katsu Chicken. Its quite a nice change to the usual British, Indian, Chinese, Persian, Italian cuisines that are a bit common in Birmingham. I popped in today for their Sunday Supper Club and had a wonderful foodgasm! It feels like you suddenly had a super short trip to Malaysia, tried out the Nasi Lemak at local hawker food stall and then realized your back in Brum an hour after. 😆😆😆 It's that's good!

A friend discovered this amazing restaurant, being Malasian herself she was keen for us to try some authentic dishes.... and boy it did not disappoint.
The food was delicious our group of 14 all enjoyed it, including the takeaways as we couldn't resist and had so many dishes we still wanted to try!!
Definitely recommend this restaurant 👌
