Definitely a 5* for me. Was deciding with the mrs and family where to go and I remembered this place I wanted to try. Great customer service as soon as you walk in, directed us to a table where you scan for the menu. Really nice decor. We got the Choc’o’Holic Crepe, Crepe Escape, brownie & ice cream, pancakes, Oreo shake and a strawberry mojito. The desserts were really delicious and fresh especially the crepes, the gelato scoops were tasty, strawberry mojito was refreshing, the Oreo shake was nice as well and the brownies were nice, warm and fresh. Definitely recommend.

Visited Pirlo's unplanned, parking was difficult to find due to location. The dessert lounge has lovely antique decor, was attended to right away, ordered a cookie dough and crepe, both were delicious and well presented, quick service and friendly staff, definitely recommended to all. 👌

Went for a luxury afternoon tea here. Went a few years ago and it was amazing but this time around it wasnt as good. It came with 2 free drinks each which we didnt get. The place was empty and there was no music or anything. The cakes and sandwiches were nice but seemed very basic considering it was the luxury option

Pleasant afternoon out with the girls, we went for the afternoon tea and it was such a nice experience, the atmosphere and music was nice, the staff were also attentive. The dessert I ordered which was one of the waffles was delicious, this place is a little overpriced compared to other dessert parlours , but the service is great and the atmosphere is really really nice, with comfortable seating booths and pretty lights. Even though I love desserts, I don't often frequent these types of places as usually find them to be devoid of flavour and overtly expensive... however, Pirlo's massively surprised me! Not only was it nice and clean inside, the food didn't take an age to come (despite them apologising when we arrived for being short staffed and advising us of a wait) but most importantly, the food was brilliant! Full, deep waffles, covered in lashings of your chosen toppings and sauce! I was really, really impressed with the quality and will definitely be going back! Plus my other half's vegan waffle was delicious! 🤤🤤❤

What an amazing dessert lounge. Extremely friendly staff who was more than happy to take her time explaining the menu. The menu & desserts were fantastic. You can basically have whatever base you want, so waffle, crepe, cheesecake, you get the idea with whatever dessert topping you desire. There must have been about 20 flavours to choose from & they did a complete Vegan option too of a lot of the different flavours. Impressive or what. I love desserts as I get that from my Dad. The food was exquisite, the taste sublime. This place is situated where you could miss it. Please don't miss it or you will regret it. Portion sizes could be slightly bigger but hey!! Will drive here again to visit this place and eat in next time.

BEST DESSERTS IN BIRMINGHAM. Been here many times since it’s opening and it’s only got better and better. Friendly staff, nice seating, plenty of parking, and all their desserts are delicious. With their loyalty scheme and array of offers easiest on the pocket too. Waffle and cookie doughs are my go to.. but nothing on the menu ever disappoints Make your own waffle.. the possibilities are endless! ❤️❤️

The interor and the menus are beautiful. We have experienced some problems with service - we waited 1 hour for our order and then didn't get the full order but the owner came to us and apologies personally. That was nice, but he claimed it was super busy when it wasn't. The Kinder Bueno waffle was delicious and the Sundae looked mad. I would not recommend the red velvet cookie dough - it tasted artificial.

Nice decor and desserts aren't too bad but small things let thjs place down my friends got chocolate concrete, custard was warm but concrete was so cold custard got cold too. My crepe this time had a bit of a wafer like texture, last time it was amazing. Service this time was better, usually takes forever for me to get my desserts. All in all not bad especially if you're already in city centre.

Me and my family come often and invite our friends when we can as the service is fantastic as well as the food and drinks. Every time we go it turns out to be a pleasurable experience. The host in the suit remembers us and always treats us well.They hired a part time DJ that plays bangers too. Would highly recommend.

Have been here a number of times now it’s always been a nice relaxing evening out - very Covid safe QR code is used for the menu as well as all staff wearing a mask when taking your order at the table. Delicious deserts and now good food too. The peri peri fries were soo good and so were the Chili cheese bites. Algerian chicken burger was alright they just need to toast the buns as they were cold. Very friendly service which makes gives it the stars from me.

I have been to a few dessert restaurants, this one is the most expensive however it is decorated very nicely & it's table service. You can pay up to £10 for the best sundea on the menu which is by no means a monster size portion either. Despite being a bit too expensive for what it is the desserts we ordered were very nice. Service was slow we had to call the waitress to take our order and we waited around 15-20 mins which seemed a bit excessive for a dessert. Nice place to say 'you've been' but if we chose to go again we would probably go to a cheaper place with less frill.

We arrived on a Friday night where there was a bit of a wait, but the host was very nice and super eager to get us seated as soon as possible. We were able to look at a menu while we waited. When the ice cream waffles arrived, they were both well-presented and delicious! I will always go to Pirlo's when I'm in Birmingham. :-)

The first time I went here I ordered the big waffle, and the service was great. The second time I went here I ordered an Eton mess sundae, and the service was slow. Both times, the food tasted great but there would be one or two pieces where the fruit would taste off. In my sundae I ate a piece of fruit from the bottom of the glass which tasted so off and left a horrible taste at the back of my throat. I hurriedly ate more ice cream to drown out the taste but it was still there hours later. With the waffle, there were some strawberries that didn't taste sweet or fresh. The portions are huge, just a shame that the fresh(?) fruit lets it down. It would be nice if the tap water was cold too, other than room temperature warm.

Great menu, great looking shop and desserts taste well good too. The menu was an eye catcher for me as the cover was made out of real copper! Lovely touch that was! The only reason why it loses 1* is because they got my order wrong. I realised after I left the store and got to my destination, when I should have checked in store (which I shouldn’t have to in the first place). But over all, it was still a good experience!

We went during quieter hours in the evening so didn't have to wait to get a table. I ordered the "Pirlo's Monster Sundae", basically a massive sundae that i couldn't finish. Unfortunately around a third of it is just cream, but i enjoyed it. The staff kindly offered to make the rest of it into a milkshake to take home, it made 2 regular sized milkshakes! Great staff, nice decor and tasty food, highly recommended and especially if you're already in city centre.

I would like to state that this is a decent stop for any desserts lovers within the city centre. Easily accessible with decent produce with the exception of one occasion. However, not all of the staff are friendly and this is reflected in my rating of this establishment. One of the manager is a decent friend and acquaintance due to my many visits, always lively and eager to impress on a new card trick to keep customers entertained whilst their order is getting processed. I cannot state that all the menu is awesome but the sundaes and waffles are decently portioned and taste amazing. Depending on the cook, the crepes are not always up to standard and the cakes are not all that great. Having purchased a sticky toffee pudding i was given a sponge cake with toffee sauce in the middle and cream on the top, this all was served with a scoop of ice cream. A far cry from the classic but not up to my standard. Summing this review I would definitely recommend this dessert parlour to friends and family and have indeed done so, just need to revamp the music playlist and stop all the covers/remix.

Wicked place to experience the best dessert experience possible in Birmingham. I’m from Leicester but we came down to visit some friends and after a game of footy felt like putting all the weight we lost back on. No doubt the atmosphere and decor was amazing, the smell of the food just had my mouthwatering. I ordered the chocoholic crepe as the waiter said that it was the most popular and when it arrived it looked beyond the part. The taste and how it was presented was beyond my expectations. My family and friends were all also happy with what they had received and we all walked away happy. Told them I’d be back again and I signed up to their loyalty scheme, which has great rewards. I’d only say speed was the only issue but it was a full house so it’s not really a problem the food made up for it.

I always visit this place with friends after work. The atmosphere is great and friendly, and all the staff are helpful and nice. The owners personally greats all customers making them feel completely welcome. Unlike other desserts parlours in Birmingham this is really clean and the seats aren’t coated in grease. The tables are kept clean constantly and the cutlery is clean. The food desserts are amazing and the music is family friendly. Definitely recommend if your looking for a place for desserts or quiche in Birmingham city centre.

Not only does Pirlo's make desserts, but they also do burgers. Me and my partner went in and we both ordered the Algerian Cheeseburger and mocktails. We were both impressed with the mocktails and the food itself, especially the Algerian sauce. It worked well with the meat and the brioche bun as it had heat to it. Definitely would come again!

Visited Pirlo's for the first time with my friend on 18th July 2019, and had the most fantastic experience. Customer service was absolutely A1. The manager (I forgot his name) a tall, muscular Asian guy was absolutely warm and welcoming and engaged us in conversation. The rest of the staff that attended to us were also pleasant. I really appreciate the interior design of Pirlo's; warm- earthy colours and very calming. Would recommed for dates and general catch-up with friends. There's also healthy dessert options including vegan. Will definitely be coming here again, way better than competitors!

Pretty impressive set up. Definitely sets itself apart from other “textbook style” dessert cafés. Ordered a honey waffle & a chocolate crepe. Have to say the crepe portion was huge and probably one of the best we’ve had in a while. Waffle was fresh off the machine - texture was just right. Really enjoyed my time at Pirlo’s, came with the family on a Saturday night and was suprised to get seated very quick.... As soon as one table left the staff cleared and cleaned the table for us within seconds and we got seated in a nice booth looking over the dessert section. The chefs were dressed very presentable and were doing the desserts very quick... We ordered within around 10 minutes of sitting down and the short girl greeted us with respect and she was friendly. We ordered three cookie doughs and a waffle and they came out very fast and were presented beautifully with an extra touch of the Pirlos logo on the plate. We also ordered hot chocolates and they came very warm.. Really nice place to bring your family and friends would highly recommend !!!

I ordered a banana split and a white hot choc with cream and marshmallows. It was the best I’ve ever tasted in Birmingham. I recommend anyone to come here as the atmosphere is soothing.

The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The fondue for 2 was served cold (about room temperature) rather than nice and hot. That was a huge disappointment. We also had waffles - the "blueberry compot" was nicely balanced, the "hey honey I'm home" was way to sweet. The waffles themselves were very good, fresh and tasty. Great presentation, mostly nice ingredients (apart from the whipped cream out of a can). All in all a good, but not great.

When I first visited Pirlos around 2 years ago, the atmosphere, staff and desserts were great but unfortunately, standards have really slipped! On my recent visit, I was greeted by a member of staff who did not smile, looked quite sloppy in appearance and in general, just seemed like he had no idea what he was doing... I noticed that a lot of the lights inside the restaurant were broken and were not replaced, the music being played simply did not fit the atmosphere and the tables/floors just did not appear clean. The actual desserts were more or less the same which is the only good thing. I always thought Pirlos was a slightly higher class dessert lounge - if this is what you want to be, your staff have to look and act the part aswell!

Pre booked my Meerkat meals as it says on the app so me and my 4 cousins could come out to enjoy our Monday evening night out. Staff were very helpful with recommending a wide variety of crepes and mocktails, I had the cookie dough crepe along with the Strawberry sunrise mocktail and it was delicious. My cousin ordered the wild bubble waffle in the cone which was presented in a outstanding manner with generous portion sizes. The only downside was I could finish my cookie dough crepe even though it was highly tempting I couldnt go on as I would have been sick lol. I was there couple of times so far and unfortunately my impression lower down everytime I'm comming back. The desserts are delicious but we got chocolate fondue which was actually cold, we waited to be served far too long and than waited again for bill even though it was really quiet that day, I asked for a glass of water twice and still didn't get it. I booked via Groupon and while it was not a an awful experience, I would not pay the full price for it. It took 40 minutes to receive the right selection of sandwiches and hot drinks ordered. My booking had been put into the diary wrong. It took a few attempts on my part to convince the server the error was made by them. I showed him the voucher, confirming payment for luxury afternoon tea and he told me I had made a mistake when booking. I showed the server the booking confirmation on my phone and he did not seemed to be convinced. He went off, spoke to someone and eventually apologised but for the delay. The sandwiches were nice and fresh. The mini desserts a bit of a let down, like the service. I have been to Pirlos before and was happy enough with the service. I would not book another afternoon tea experience here, as I have had better experiences elsewhere.

Visited Pirlos for a luxury afternoon tea experience to kick start the half term holidays with my parents and my brother. As soon as I walked in the waitress Habeeba reliased my dad would have difficulties accessing the booths because of his dissabilities so she promptly moved us to another table- She used her initiative I didnt have to tell her, this won me over straight away ♥️. The afternoon tea was laid out beautifully and each morsel of food from savouries to sweets was an absolute delight. I will be visiting again and i would reccomend this place highly. The ambience, music and lighting of the place is nice and soft and the service was beyond excellent. A big shout out to Habeeba for also giving us a free bottle of halal fizz to take home with us.

We had afternoon tea, the kids had a Pirlo holy crepe with cookie dough ice cream. Our tea was very nice with egg mayo, chicken and salad sandwiches. And the kids devoured their crepe. The atmosphere is really nice and calming. Decor is beautiful but a little dark but other than the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dessert establishments aren't cheap but this is relatively competitive to other vendors. Second time I've been here and I would recommend to others.

Unfortunately the special order we had was available on selected days and times and we were told there's two hot drinks included in the price but was offered only one hence marked down by one star. Otherwise standrard selection of afternoon tea is very good and good portion size not to mention a good selection of hot drinks. The staff are friendly, lovely decor and clean which creates great ambience and ost importantly not too noisy so we could have have a conversation which was a pleasant change from other afternoon tea venues. Everything from the desserts to decor is absolutely splendid and spot on. Cookie dough crepe is a very generous portion however to much for my small belly to contain lol. Drinks are served quickly aswell as the desserts. I thought I might have to wait atleast 20 minutes as they were very busy with customers crowding around the door, however we got our food within 8 minutes which included, 2 kinder surprise waffles, 1 cookie dough crepe and 2 milk cookie doighs. After 30 minutes of waiting we were told there was no vegan waffle available and after a distressing 5 minutes we were told that it was available. Then told there would be a five minute wait. Waffle was good and monster was nice but is misrepresented by the picture in the menu, ours did not come with all the Bueno, ferrero rocher and Nutella toppings pictured and we had to ask for the brownie and extra cutlery twice. One waitress was lovely but other staff could do with more customer service training.

Pirlos desserts lounge was the best dinning experience I’ve had in over a couple of years. I am vegan so it is hard for me to find somewhere that has such a wide range of vegan desserts to offer like pirlos. They did not disappoint as I was spoilt for choice, I went for the vegan special waffle with vegan vanilla which was another shock as normally places just do sorbets so for me to have a vegan gelato had me buzzing. My mate who ordered a chocoholic said it was the best crepe she had tasted, in a while. Hands down the best dessert place in Birmingham located in digbeth and also can I just say the decor is breath taking. Will be back very very soon.

Hidden away in digbeth is this dessert gem. The luxury interior is definitely not what expected for the area but it works! The desserts are reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. There are plenty of comfy booths to sit in with your friends. The food itself was really tasty and filling so much so I had to roll out of the door! I came to Pirlos yesterday with my family, We sat on the first booth as soon as you get in, I ordered a Chocoholic crepe and my family ordered the Ill' Classico waffle and Royal Rocher. The waffle design and crepe presentation was very very exceptional and its the first time I seen the wrap type of Crepe even though Ive been pirlos numerous times before. We were served by the mixraced looking girl who was very polite and and helpful and was always willing to help us and had exceptional customer service. I hope to see more of that young women aswell as some new upcoming staff as customer service is a big part of a business and I can say I was 100% satisfied with my experience and so was my family. Generic birmingham dessert lounge with nice decor, the waffles are not overloaded with chocolate so this allows you to finish one without feeling sickly. The drinks selection is good too from mocktails to a wide range of teas and coffees. They do have a loyalty scheme which allows you to gain points each time you buy from pirlos which allows you to redeem a free drink or dessert. Also located in digbeth so its at the heart of the city centre.

Such a swanky and stylish dessert lounge. Probably the finest in the whole of Birmingham. High ceilings, ultra modern decor, a relaxed atmosphere and perfect service provided. We ordered a crepe, creme brulee and tiramisu. They were stunningly presented with massive portion sizes. The quality was so great that they literally put other dessert lounges to shame.
