***Best fish and chips I have ever had*** The team at Pisces fish bar went above and beyond when me and some friends were dining in! As you can see from the photo the presentation and quality of food is top quality! Trying a variety of dishes from the menu we were not disappointed by anything! Freshness , cleanliness and fantastic portion sizes with great value for money! (BE SURE TO TRY THE BBQ DONNER…WOW) I have since been back numerous times, with staff members making me feel at home by remembering me and making me feel valued by their unreal service and food! If you are passing through the Sheldon area then be sure to try this spot out! You will not be disappointed!

Traditional chippy serving top quality food with a smile - visited with my family this week and we all loved it. I had the BBQ donner and chips - big thumbs up - and my family enjoyed traditional fish and chips with bread and butter and a hot cuppa. Staff were really friendly and polite and went out of their way to accommodate us which is not always a given but makes a big difference to me. Family friendly environment with clean tables and ample parking - can't fault it. Will defo be returning - thanks guys.

Not usually a big fan of chippy food, but was passing by with my nephew when he said I had to try this place. Instantly I thought what a lovely, clean eat in area, but once I had the first bite of cod, I was very very impressed. I have never in my life tasted fish & chips so well made. It’s obviously cooked fresh, with food piping and not very greasy. Was well looked after by the staff, very polite young men, Thankyou all for your service.

My second time visiting this place, and it sure didn't disappoint! I'm fussy about my fish n chips and these guys served it up just right: piping hot and with all the trimmings like curry sauce and bread n butter. The fish was exquisite and the chips fluffy and fresh. I also like the impressive array of chilled drinks you can see behind the counter. A fantastic place to eat.

One of the best chippies in the West Mids, no hyperbole. The tables are always clean and tidy, the food is always spot on (delicious, piping hot and in generous portions) but the family-friendly customer service is really what sets this place apart as a local chippy that you want to return to time and time again with your friends or your family. I had cod bites and chips last time I was there and they tasted fresh and crispy - a nice alternative if you like your cod extra crispy.

Probably the best Fish and Chips in Birmingham — especially since Bedders has gone downhill. Fish is fresh and tasty, chips are soft on the inside, and the mushy peas are great. Recommended.

One of the best chippy's in Birmingham. Have never been let down by their service or food quality. Chips are chunky and fresh with every order, portion sizes will satisfy you, the fried chicken is crispy and juicy, the kebab meats are flavoursome and naans are fluffy. What more can you ask for? I had just got out of hospital after a long period and had misread that there was no delivery on Sunday nights, so placed an order. Pisces phoned me to explain this, and when I said that I would need to cancel due to my illness not allowing me to drive. The guy immediately said not to worry as he would drop it off to me personally, which he did in a matter of minutes. Pisces is definitely a must visit place! It is rated at 5 stars by the health authority for a reason, they clean and clean and clean I guarantee you that it is the cleanest fish and chip shop that you will have ever visited, also their food is amazing. I would rate it 10/10 this is due to their crispy chicken that is fried to perfection and it is so tasty. In my opinion it is the most tasty chicken I have tasted in my life. And I urge you that you must try this place if you for 1 - care about your health, they make everything fresh for every customer, and 2 - love good food. I love pisces, and you will too!

Edit: Faisal seems to have sold up and moved on. Not sure where but my workmate Taz knows him from school so I’ll find out soon. His brother was still running the place on a previous visit and on my last visit here the food was still as good, so so good. However it has been closed for a long long time. Many months. This was hands down my favourite ever fish and chip shop ever. I added it to Trip Advisor and the place just went supernova. The family still own the Silver Hake where you can still go to and taste the finest fish and chips. But the Pisces was special. This is my local chippy. Others are slightly closer. But this gets all my business. The Pisces has consistently served the best fish and chips as long as I have lived in Birmingham (15 years). The fish is freshly cooked to order, the chips are cooked in small batches. Any chippy fan knows this is the best way, maybe it's nice to walk into a chippy and walk straight out again, but the best stuff is cooked to order. Accept no substitute. AND they use boxes so your fish and chips stays crispy if you take away. I rarely take away because they have a sit in service, again - cooked to order. The awards say it all, and they have a high ranking on Trip Advisor too. I'm like the cat that got the cream having such a good local chip shop. Edit November 10 2016 : Just read a review by "A Very" giving this place one star. Do not go by that. I've been back there in the last week and the service was great and the food even better. You will always get a box if you ask for one for takeaway and the staff are not buffoons and they will let you eat inside at closing time. This is a great community hub. Let's keep it that way.

Ordered cod & chips, staff very efficient and friendly. You can eat in,( plenty of tables) .or take out, as I did. Waited about 8 minutes for my meal to be freshly fried, went to sit in the car to enjoy my supper, (This chippy is right next to the Wheatsheaf shopping centre, room for 100 cars. I peeled away the outer wrapper, and the car instantly filled with a steaming aroma of fish , chips, and vinegar. I had to wind down the windows for a while. Then I got down to the business. Chips were perfect, not greasy, or hard greeny bits. Nice and firm/ fluffy. The cod was delicious as well. I would definitely recommend this chippy. Enjoy !

In this period of lockdown we really fancied some good traditional fish & chips so we ordered a delivery From Pisces Fish Bar , A few bullet points to mention The fish & chips was amazing , We have been trying many different chip shops for a while to find that quality , traditional taste and we sure found it here ! Simply the best chippy I've found South of Sheffield, and I'm from the Heartland - we used to look down our nose at the original Harry Ramsden as too flashy. It's all cooked to order, great fresh ingredients and the batter is just right. Crucially they also do gravy, as well as curry sauce. Their fishcakes are the mash and breadcrumbs versions rather than slabs of potato and batter. Round it off with cheery happy service and decent pricing and there's no point going anywhere else
