There's a reason it's so busy on a Sunday at 6pm!! Probably the best mixed grill and curry we've had in the West Mids. Quick service with plenty of table staff, food quality was brilliant, reasonably priced and good portions. Lamb on the bone curry is a must. Only negative was the tables could be cleaned better

We had some issues a couple of weeks back when we last came, I won’t go into detail because it is irrelevant now. But the Manager Mikey went out of his to make sure that myself and my 9 month pregnant partners revisit was perfect. We had amazing service and as always amazing food, reminded us why we count this place as our favourite place to go! Although Mikey couldn’t be here the night we came back his brother took amazing care of us and the staff are a credit to him and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, good atmosphere and good service!!

Being from london and on the search for the best mixed grill I had heard a lot about this place. The chicken wasn’t bad but could do with more flavouring. Lamb kebabs were okay. Chops not good at all. Supposed to be the best in Birms. Let me down.

The food is good but nothing to rave about, the menu is limited but is often better as the quality is higher. The mix grill was juicy found the flavour bit weak and needed a lot of sauce although the wings was the best component. The sheesh kebab is not great at all. Not enough salad as only small plate for four of us to share.I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. Prices are fair from my experience. Definitely more pub style quick food could see the rush.

Excellent food, friendly service and very professional outfit. This place was real busy when we visited for our takeaway, however our food was made within the time given. We got home and opened our food to a wonderful smell. The Soho grill is the perfect sharing dish and the curries are very authentic. The breads were some of the best that we have ever had, and we have had a few!! Overall great food, great prices and great services. Already recommended.

The mixed grill here was really good, my favourite was the chicken tikka. Wasn't a fan of the chicken wings but might be personal preference. Will definitely visit again.

I visited this place last week with some friends and the food was brilliant - quality meat, vegetarian AND most importantly (for me) vegan dishes. The staff are polite and friendly, the ordering process is seamless and easy and the food is on point - great value for money. I would recommend Soho Tavern always as I have found the consistency to be on point. Keep up the great work guys.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this place is amazing, particularly one of the bartenders, who was so charming and wonderful. Me and a couple friends visited here a few days ago after quite a while, and couldn’t help but notice how lovely the updated decor looked, especially surrounding the bar. Speaking of the bar, there was this handsome gentleman who made our visit even more enjoyable. Sadly, we didn’t catch his name, but he had a stunning smile and the most gorgeous eyes, and made us the most delicious cocktails we had ever tasted! The food was lovely too. I would definitely recommend!

Food is ok. Most dishes Could be more flavoursome. Food is pretty standard for a Punjabi mixed grill place. It’s difficult to find that authentic Punjabi taste you use to be able to get back in the day. Overall the dishes are decent enough In regards to portion sizes & since the place had a make over it’s not bad inside either. You get what you expect I guess, from a standard mixed grill bar. 3 stars.

Busy! They don't allow you to book for smaller numbers; I can understand why due to the demand. The food was good and cheap! Tables are crammed together, and you end up being surrounded by people standing around waiting to be seated. Still, it's worth a visit

Delicious curries! With my nephew and son the dining was excellent. So busy, we had to wait for 25 minutes to secure a table but well worth the wait! Bahut swad Khana!

First visit today, had a chicken saag with the usual rice chips naan etc, dish was very tasty, I will definitely be returning and next time ordering one of the mixed grills. Clean restaurant with nice friendly staff and quick service. I'd give it 5⭐ only for the toilet doors not closing properly and the cover on the toilet paper hanging off. But that won't put me off visiting again. Recommended 👍

Food was okay okay nothing special. We ordered 3 dishes all of them tasted the same. Meat platter was good that why I gave three stars. I asked for ketchup and the server gave me packs from another table . The packets he grabbed ,had two used packets also and were smudged in sauce. It was disgusting I would have given 1 star just gave 3 Becz of the platter

I've heard nothing but great reviews about this place so was excited to visit unfortunately I would so it was nothing more than ok. The price is very fair but the food is nothing to write home about. The lamb kebab is awful, the lamb chops had hardly any flavour to it and the charcoal on the chicken was nor charcoal, it was just burnt. I'm not apposed to visiting again but would never go out of my way to pay a visit.

The soho platter grill with Chili chips is the one to go for. Plenty of food and enough to take home for later. Very freshly cooked and spicy food at a reasonable price. The only snag is off road parking. Recommended

Staff are friendly and helpful. Just a cool vibe and that ranged from the bar staff (both down and upstairs), to those who served our food to the guy who showed us to our table. Even being told the wait could be 25mins and was only 10mins max was great because it was quite busy in there (especially on a Friday night). Food is 10/10 and pricing too. Had a small mixed grill which was well worth the spend, lamb curry (meat was soft and curry was tasty) and masala chips. Been here before but a good couple of years ago (way before lockdown) and have never had a bad experience. Would definitely recommend and come again and again.

Very spicy compared to other mix grill pubs. Good vibe can get very busy so plan your visit. You have to park on the street as they haven't a carpark so be wary if you have a nice car as the pub is in the middle of a ghetto. Not a great selection of beer mind which was a disappointment for me. But it's wasn't the end of the world.

This was my second visit at The New Soho Tavern yesterday. The service was excellent, they provide you with veg and non-veg menu which offeres variety of dishes, my personal favourite was Veg Chicken Karahi Pot. I will definitely come back, Highly recommended!

Was recommended this place by my cousin from Leicester so visiting Birmingham from Milton Keynes, thought a trip was in order. Great Desi pub with some very reasonably priced food and drink. The large sizzler was very tasty and great value for money. Seems like a place frequented by locals and regulars so was a bit confusing as to how the ordering and seating worked, but was easy enough once figured out. Will definitely go again when visiting Birmingham.

We arrived to a slight queue but we're told it was only be a ten minute wait. We collected drinks and headed to the beer garden (they are following covid rules very well) You now can order everything in your phone via a QR code. We ordered (by recommendation of a few people!) Soho mixed grill (included naan, lamb chops, Sheesh kebab, tandoori prawns, and chicken. Tandoori wings Spicy Curry And Chilli Chips. The food comes fairly quickly and the mixed grill fed all 3 of us happily. The food is delicious! I can't say how much I enjoyed it. The curry was the closest to a true Indian curry I've had in a very long time. But the true surprise were the chilli chips which were out of this world! I'll be going back for seconds! Thank you!

Though only popping in to collect food, the layout and overall presentation of the establishment is amazing. Bright, clean and well presented and the staff polite and happy to help. As for the food, I have the medium mixed grill which was really good. Well made and served in a good container. It also includes a decent amount of salad, dips and naan bread.

Great food, no service... you almost have to be thankful that they will bring you the food. An example of how bad the service is, they actually came to our table to tell us they don't bring us a jug of water... that we would have to go get it ourselves, well if you are coming to our table why not bring it? Also very limited selection of beers for my taste as an IPA fan, one IPA which was very sweet and not happy at all. But, again, the food was absolutely delicious.
