A real pub, no nonsense and great food. I come here usually once per year for my birthday meal. I always have the mixed grill and it never disappoints. Although today the steak was over cooked it wasn't worth complaining as lovely girl serving behind the bar made up for that. Her customer service was exceptional. Keep up the good work guys, 👍 Ash

Classic pub grub at a reasonable cost. Ordering through the app is very handy now. Staff are pleasant and everywhere is clean. Garden is lovely in the summer.

Have been twice now, and on both occasions have had a very pleasant experience. Both times as a party of eight, and all of our meals were excellent, cooked Spot on. The bar staff are brilliant and continue to look after you throughout your visit. A smashing team that all work together. We will continue to go back, I hope that the chef is happy and and is not leaving anytime soon! Like a lot of pubs loose your chef and people don't come back! To sum the place up lovely atmosphere great staff excellent food,clean and tidy well-done the journey end team.👍

Nice place to have lunch and a few drinks with my mom. They seem to really look after the older ones so my mom loves it. Been to a few nights with entertainment here, hopefully be brought back soon.

This was the first time we tried this pub. We had booked a table, it was reserved away from the door, like I requested. The ambience of the place was nice, some music, lively chattering. We came here to try the food, particularly the vegetarian lasagna and was looking forwards to that. It only came with salad, so I asked for portion of seasoned chips. The lady who served us was very nice. My friend odered bangers and mash. We chose from the 2 for £9.50 meals. When food was served I was very disappointed with mine. It didn't look or taste anything like a lasagna. Could see the pasta layers, the vegetables. It came in a round bowl and sides were burned. Tasted of stewe, didn't see any vef or pasta. Nothing like the lasagna I'm used to. Friend enjoyed his meal

Popped in here on the off chance on Monday. The staff were fantastic and welcoming. The beer was good so I decided to try the food. I had a loaded surf and turf which was spot on When I finished a young man named Freddie came over to collect my plate. He was very polite and told me how a new menu was starting Tuesday. He explained the new dishes and with what he said I will be returning to try some of the dishes on offer. Thank you to all at the journeys. First class service. Glad I stumbled across this little gem.

We found this pub quite by accident. But so glad we did. Barstaff go over and beyond to help you. A lovely atmosphere. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Great menu. We chose the two meals for £9. There was a few nice choices for that price. I had fish and chips and my friend had the gammon. Both meals were lovely. There is a lovely beer garden. There is disabled toilets.

Use to go to the journeys years ago fantastic pub. The wife said let's go somewhere different today and l thought of the journeys. Wow how it's changed. Greeted with a warm smile from the staff. Some people were having a meal and to be honest it looked lovely. Beer was good. Good atmosphere which we love. Been back twice. Give it a try 👍

Well this is my first review and it would have been bad one however the way the staff conducted themselves has made it a 5* review. I took the misses out for dinner and yes the food was fantastic especially for the price. So we stayed for a few drinks which were served quickly and well presented. suddenly who I can only assume was a local kicked off. (not sure why). However the bar man was called, who I can only assume was the manager quickly stepped in and diffused the situation. However this person kicking off decided to what seemed to me as come back for another go however the manager kept his cool and stayed diplomatic considering the abuse he got. Thank you to all at the journeys end. Despite this incident I will be returning as your staff are extremely professional, the food was great and the beer was lovely. shame about a few people that can give a place a bad name.

We requested to reserve 30+ seats for our daughters 18th birthday. They were amazing. We had banners, photos, and balloons everywhere and it was no problem at all. Food was great and considering how many there were of us food came out one after the other. Thank you so so much for helping us celebrate with a lovely family meal. Xx

Brilliant boozer, been here a few times now with the other half for lunch, breakfast and dinner (no not on the same day 🤣). Bar staff are a credit and really friendly, always got a smile and a hello for you no matter who's on shift. The beer is as beer goes for a boozer, just as it should be. When I very 1st went I seen the prices of the food and though this is going to be terrible as this isn't expensive at all. I was t just pleasantly surprised, I was blown away by the standard of the food for pub grub! As I said I have been a few times and I assure you I will go many more times as well. Keep it up guys, actually making me hungry now thinking about how good it is!!

The food was nice but there was a very long wait for a Wednesday evening. I had all but finished my meal before other people's had arrived. There were also bits not available or missing, no sweetcorns available, no marshmallows on the deserts. It wouldn't stop be going back and it was tasty and well prepared and exceptional hot.

Tried this for the first time. Can only say we have had a few pub foods, but the food Here was excellent and value for money. We ordered fish and chips and gammon and chips. I asked for a jacket of potato to replace the chips and it no issue. The fish was not oily at all. The gammon was cooked just right. Avery - our waitress, was very helpful and had a smile. Something you don’t see often at other places. Will visit again soon. Congrats to the chefs.

Both wife and daughter had fajitas but after ordering waitress came out and told us they had run out of both sour cream and salsa, this being 6pm so hadn't really hit peak time. My son had steak ( tough) I had mixed grill which was edible...just, won't be rushing back

Food and drinks lovely but the place could do with a thorough clean The ladies toilets need a complete face lift. They are dirty and very worn and the sinks fixtures are rusty. Given 3 Stars for food and drink because cleanseness lets it down

Shush dont tell anyone this place is a little gem soo much better than solihull pubs n wetherspoons tell u why great staff at the door but their real gem is ANN wow super lady eye on the ball that's all I can say you need a drink she faster than Zola budd some of us older ones know who she is great sense of humour food delicious would recommend roasted veg lasagna n haddock n chips cant wait to go bac again super super service from start to finish n a big high five to chiefs in the kitchen well done guys keep it up wish I kept this to my self 😘

Great community pub with a family feel and something going on most nights. With quiz night twice a week (Sundays and Tuesdays), Play your cards right and a darts team this pub has a real locals feel with strangers made very welcome. Food is served until 9pm and is traditional pub fayre. The chicken burger stack is a veritable Scooby snack. There are a decent range of ales and lager available on tap or bottled. Car parking and outdoor seating to the front of the pub. There are toilets at each end of its long narrow design. Sport is shown on a number of large screen televisions. There is also a cash machine.

Wow !! What a great day we had last Sunday , 18th July at the family fun day . Lots to do for all of us , side shows , bouncy castle and slide for the little one - £2 all day if he wanted to , stalls for us to buy odds and ends , yummy candy floss and ice cold slushy , just right in the heat. A display from the Army boys and a guest appearance by a 95 years young lady who. was a pilot in the last war , she even danced a waltz , god bless her ! He event was in aid of our heroes from Ww2 to return to Normandy late in the year, a wonderful chance to thank them . The staff were top notch all day , smiling and helpful as ever , thanks Heels(?) , Bonnie , Jess and Ross , plus's the back room staff , wonderful scones over flowing with ma'am and cream ! Very well done one and all. Highly recommended any time of the year . Many thanks Sarah , Derek and Benito.
