Friendly atmosphere and a great place to eat with the family, young or old! Staff are polite and helpful. Foods really nice and a great price as well. Only downside is that I wish they had some less sweet desserts, something for the older taste buds shall I say!! But that's personal preference. Other than that it's a lovely place to eat.

Used to use this one frequently up until 2013 when we moved away. Had some good times here. Today, I had a Guinness for £3.65. The drink was poured properly and tasted fine. Nice and clean in the pub with most folk enjoying the footie. Still has the pool table in the small rear room.

Went with my brother who is a resident of a nearby care home. Steve had a double burger with chips, peas, I had hunters chicken, chips, peas & bbq sauce, Both dishes were hot on arrival, served very quickly by friendly waitress who also came by a little later & asked if our meal was OK,assured her it was . Afterwards we had desserts of oreo sundau & Eton mess. Whole meal experience was pleasant & very enjoyable food. Would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings & served by friendly staff.

Giving 3 stars because the staff were friendly & the food arrived quickly. I ordered the fish & chips which was really good and piping hot. My husband ordered a burger and fries but was disappointed as the burger was lukewarm & salty. The fries were hot. He would have returned it to the kitchen but the wait staff is minimal & there was a line up at the bar to order food with only 1 bar tender. We tried them but won't be back.

Good sized pub just off the main road. Huge car park with plenty of space, remember to input your number plate into the machine at the bar or you'll get a ticket. Prices are fair & the wait on food isn't long. Plenty of space to sit too.

Great food, great atmosphere. The Staff all wear face coverings and could see them always sanitising tables where other guests were sat previously. A one-way system was in place, they took our details down at the door and told us to sanitise our hands before entering the pub. Overall experience was 10/10, would recommend to family and friends. Can't wait to visit again.

Was left waiting by the door for ages went in to see what was happening the old lady behinde the bar quite rude. Was seated by a lady with a clip board who failed to tell us the app wasn't working and didn't bring us any menus had to ask for them. The young waitress was very nice and polite the older dark haired one a right miserable cow. Waited a while for our food but to be fair the food was very nice.

When I visited here after everything going on in the world I felt some comfortable from the moment I arrived , there’s a one way system you also queue to get in , you book a table and you are allocated a table by a member a staff which is freshly sanitized on arrival. The staff can be seen cleaning and sanitizing. Social distancing is in place round the whole pub , the toilets are spotless. I felt so at ease and I will be returning again due to such a good experience for returning to a pub after so long.

Haven't been since before lockdown but before that the food is nice I don't recall ever having a bad food experience. There was one time a few years ago with a loud group of people but I don't blame the establishment for other people's behavior. The food is a decent price and so are the drinks I'm hoping to come in again after the second lockdown as after the first it was very difficult to book a table.

The pub itself is fairly clean, and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The people inside the pub aren't rough or rowdy, it's a decent place to go for a family meal as a result. The food can be a bit hit or miss, though. If you get one of their sizzling plate thingies, they're always great - however, I'd stay away from things like the pie and mash. They're microwaved, and often for too long resulting in tough and not too great food. Good value for money, however!

We had our Family Christmas get together here on Saturday evening. We had exceptional service all staff were brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. We were all served our food at the same time. I came too this place on a spur of the moment with some family members for the first time but was impressed with there bog standard pub food good prices and fast time in serving the food. The Loaded cheesy garlic bread was a favourite amongst us would definitely recommend. I enjoyed a double cheese burger, lovely chips. Make sure you enter your Registration on arrival, and the car park is for customer use only. Will definitely come again when in need of fast bite with family, wouldnt recommend for a special occasion though.

Decent quality when it comes to food although the portion sizes could stand to be a little better, I had the madras chicken and the size of the piece of chicken on top of my rice made me laugh a little to be honest, these are supposed to be adult sized meals, as a fully grown man who also likes to keep fit, that meal didn't fill me at all. Chocolate fudge cake was a good size but the sponge was dry/stale Apart from this, it was enjoyable and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Visited here for the last time last week... Food is good but always expect more for the price, I've seen a few comments about small portions so thought maybe you would have taken notice of that by now. I've lowered my rating due to the "managers" at this establishment, how dare you treat your staff the way you do AND in front of customers. I've never had a problem with the staff here, they all work hard and always have smiles on their faces, which must be hard as I wouldn't be happy to work here! God knows what goes on behind the scenes. Happy staff = happy customers They're people, not robots. We didn't stay for dessert as I didn't want to risk my children seeing that kind of behaviour and thinking it was ok.

Hadn't realised that Mon-Thurs they don't open until noon so arrived early, but will know for the future. Also, if you're prone to senior moments, make sure you know the registration of your car so you can enter it into the tablet on the bar to ensure free parking. First of all, NO NEGATIVES! My favourite pub restaurant when I visit Birmingham with lovely warm and friendly staff. Excellent piping hot food that's great value for money. Would definitely recommend you pay them a visit. Parking is £1 for 2 hours which is refunded when you pay your bill. Bargain!

i have been using the yenton pub once month on a friday for the past 6 months. there is about 12 of us that meet up here from work for food and drinks and to just chill out. mick and diane always make sure we have our table so we all sit together, the food is outstanding, the drinks so many to choose from. Visited today with my hubby and our 9 year old son for lunch after a shopping trip. We have been here many times before and it can be a bit hit or miss. Today though, I felt the need to review The Yenton due to the service we received. Mine and my hubby's food was served and the young man serving who was called Lee, asked if my son wanted his food on a plate rather than a hot skillet to which we agreed. Lee was very polite and my son commented that he had a ' happy ' face, we felt that his customer service was outstanding. He interacted well with our son and was a pleasure to be served by him . I hope that the management see this review and he gets the credit he deserves !!!! Its a shame some of the other staff cant have his approach to customers. Well Done Lee.

We go to the pub every month, the food is average pub fair good range/selection to choose from and reasonably priced never had a bad meal. Tonight's experience was slightly marred by the constant increasing of the music granted it is Christmas and I'm no Bah Humbug but when your sitting nearly under the speakers it isn't a pleasant experience. Further more when asking politely to reduce said volume one bar person did only for the other to then turn it full volume back up again. Hopefully the manager will read this and appreciate that this is not acceptable. Fun is something that doesn't mean people leave your premises with ringing ears or painful ears.

The Yenton is a nice enough pub located near the Chester road train station, but I'm afraid I can't give it more than a three star rating. On Thursdays there is a quiz night where the sound of the announcer booms over all of the pub, meaning that you're forced to listen to it even if you don't not want to take part. Further, I can't really recommend the food as some of the portion sizes were very small, such as the chili - more suited for a child than for a grown adult. On the plus side - the staff were lovely and did the best to promote a nice atmosphere in spite of all this.
