Lovely Vegan menu, MUST TRY !
Being a Vegan it is quite hard to find a decent restaurant that offers a variety of dishes to choose from. I came upon Wing Wah Birmingham whilst walking through China town and I taught I'd try it out after during some research on their new vegan menu. I must say, I am honestly impressed, not only is there a wide variety of vegan dishes but they taste remarkable. Honestly, the layout of some of the dishes is truly beautiful, and one can tell that they have some talented chiefs cooking in their kitchen. I would definitely recommend to all my vegan friends.

Great food and serve quickly on a Sunday.
The waitress also remove plates quickly. Sometimes you want the sauce from the empty dish, it will just gone in the wind! You have to be quick as they don't ask and remove it without you noticing it.

Newly opened and refurbished as it moves to the new location. Really Good Cantonese Food!!!! Top Quality Chinese Food in Birmingham. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends.

Good easy access restaurant to Wing Yip. Dim sum tasted good and fresh. Although they forgot our char sui cheung fun from our order until we prompted. It was a bit late so it came when you'd be getting your desserts. We ordered roast duck and the flavour is very weak, not like the ducks you typically get from London China Town. Skimping on the Spices I think. Also the dipping scented soy sauce was only served in small tubs with not enough sauce. But it wasn't fragrant or rich enough.
L. A.
Worth going for the buffet hot pot in the evenings, which also means you can also have the buffet dinner on the other side of the restaurant. For regular Chinese dinner I’d go somewhere else, as this place can get too busy and too noisy.
Also, even though the restaurant was supposed to be opened till 10 ok, we arrived there around 8:15 pm and was told that the hot pot and buffet counters will be closing in 30 mins and we had to choose everything we want for the hot pot in one go. So if you plan to have a relaxing dinner, get there early and don’t go late like we did.

We love hotpot and my friend recommend this all-you-can-eat HotPot. Went on a Thursday at 5pm, we were the first to arrive and we were surprised that with the hotpot you can also enjoy the dinner buffet!!! One word... AMAZING!
If you are from Hong Kong you would agree that the sauce station is exactly what we have in hk and the taste is just like Home. The seafood they have prawns, crabs, fish... the usual thin beef curled in a cone, lots and lot is vegetables! at opposite it has a chill fridge with 5-6 cold dishes and they all taste amazing.
Moving onto the dinner buffet, is not a lot from but it’s enough and quite tasty. Love the shredded beef~
The dim sum station is to die for... yes, also included in the all you can eat. They put the dim sum in the steam basket just enough for one person which is a very good idea... love the Siu long bao!
2 Types Of Chinese soups and a sweetcorn soup all very nice. They do have a green bean sweet soup which I will try next time!
Congee station have a lot of little side dishes to go with and next to the teppanyaki station... which I was too full to try... I will try it next time.
Dessert station again no room to try but it looks good. I had fresh melons, canned laichi, peach and soft ice-cream with cone to finish my meal.
This must be the best all-you-can-eat we had in UK. Staffs very friendly and they can speak Cantonese. We decided to become a regular at this place! I am looking forward to the next visit to try those food I have missed! Very happy Thursday!

Much better than the previous location. You get 2 hours free parking in the car park opposite. Service is fast and friendly. Food was excellent
W. S.
Nice food and environment, but the price is slightly higher than other Dim Sum place. Their service and decoration is better
l. H.
Food was lovely specially their fantastic dim sum dishes which was really attractive and tasty. Very good customer service. highly recommended.

We visited at lunch time expecting to have buffet but only a set menu available now during the day. There was a horrible stench of fish when walking through front door coming from a not very nice looking tank....not sure if they keep usually have live fish in there ready to eat but looked terrible (tank was empty) once inside it was fine, the food we had was nice (little to much salt on my salt and pepper king prawns but still nice) and price was reasonable... I would return on an evening to see what that's like
S. L.
Very impressed!! All the Dim Sum dishes were very tasty and delicious!!! One of my favorite places to eat!!!!
M. M.
Love the food here!!! Very Nice food, Quality service and good environment!!!! I will definitely come again.

The Best Chinese Food in Birmingham
Very tasty!!! my favorite is King Prawn dumplings!!! you must come and try it!!
D. S.
Service was excellent even with lots of busy staff. We went for dim sum and the food was served very quickly which was impressive.
V. K.
Dim sums were ok, service could be better. One of the waiters could also do with a wash. He was a little smelly.
u. t.
Amazing food with lovely presentation!!!! We had a wonderful meal here!!! Big thanks for the chef!!!!
T. K.
Wanna try at this restaurant during my visit to Birmingham but unfortunately it was closed during my visit. Free parking and nearby can find the big supermarket specializes in Chinese gourmet.
T. G.
The dim sum and table service here is great. Me and my family have been going to Wing Wah for years and have always wanted to come back. But after today's experience in the new restaurant in the city centre I don't think we will go back again. Their previous reputation has been tarnished because of their strict separation of dim sum and buffet diners. Half of our family dined away from us in the end after being falsely told they could eat their buffet meal downstairs. The attitude from one of the managers also helped to ruin our afternoon.
H. W.
One of the few good Cantonese restaurant left in Birmingham, they serve nice tasty dim sum menu during the day time which are reasonable priced They also offer a menu if you don't want dim sum. The staff there are generally helpfull. Inside you can see the chef's cooking if stood next to the window.
Wheelchair access is through two sets of heavy doors, inside there is a disabled WC. There is a small parking structure opposite offering parking spaces.
M. C.
me and my husband came here for a? pre theatre meal , we had the set menu for 2 and it was lovely . we told the waitress that we were in a rush so we wanted everything bought out at the same time.
The food came out fresh and hot and we had very quickly. We had plenty of time to finish our meal with a bottle of wine and even had time for there daily selection of desserts. Next time time we go out to the Alex or hippodrome , we know where to go !
J. P.
Lovely staff and the food is always consistently good. Drinks are expensive and the cola was flat.
C. F.
Absolutely loved it tonight, came to Birmingham specially for this Hot pot experience and was not disappointed. Great fresh food, large selection of both cooked and uncooked food. Staff attentive and very helpful. Enjoyed our meal, vibrant busy atmosphere. Highly recommended! !!
N. u.
Your standard Chinese affair in an aging surroundings. Could do with a revamp!
A. M.
Fast, polite service, nice decor and a good menu.
Will allow substitutions on the banquet menu.
Forgot to cook one of our dishes but rapidly corrected it so no Biggie.
Will go again!
5.
Very big vegetarian/vegan section with lots of mock meats and seafood. We got the sizzling mock duck with spring onion and ginger sauce, salt and chili mock prawns, eggless pineapple fried rice and eggless sweetcorn soup. They were all vegan and delicious, especially the mock duck. Would definitely recommend veggies/vegans to come here because they tried really hard to include many options for us. Can't wait to come here again!

“Delicious authentic chinese food”
One of my favourite restaurants I have been to.
The food is delicious and tasty.😋😋😋
I can tell they use Quality ingredients and dishes are presented nicely. Nice atmosphere and decor.
The best dim sum dish is the egg tart. Is the best in birmingham china town.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dropped in here on Saturday after the cinema. The Villa game was just over so the traffic prevented me getting home so with a sigh I pulled in to Wing Wah, turning to my wife & kids saying "Chinese? Good way to kill an hour or two, right?"
We were lucky - we got in early enough that we were seated immediately. The place was pretty well full within another hour, mainly Chinese people & their families & friends - which I often think is a measure of how good a Chinese restaurant is. We went for the all you can eat buffet, which was excellent: it had sushi, which is unusual for a Chinese buffet, and there were all the usual things like yuk sung & crispy duck pancakes, chicken satay skewers and so on.
The interesting thing for me is that most of the Chinese customers weren't eating this kind of food - Wing Wah also does a sort of Chinese buffet known in Singapore as a Steamboat. You have a big round-bottomed pan, like a Wok but divided into 2 areas, with a soup base in, on a burner on the table in front of you. You go & select all kinds of raw ingredients & then cook it in the wok. It's kept boiling there throughout & you can keep adding stuff & cooking it as you see fit. If it starts to boil dry the waiter comes & replenishes the soup base. This looked awesome - I'm totally going to try it next time.
H. W.
We'd heard the dim sum were the thing have here, what they are famed for. But they are so repetitive, prawn somethings, pork somethings, prawn and pork somethings, the meat was all bones and for someone like me allergic to shellfish I was very restricted. Nice place with immaculate service. If we went again we'd eat a la carte.
O. 7.
This is my go to place every time I fancy Cantonese food. The variety and quality of food is always excellent!.. Service on point, plates cleared away prompltly by courteous staff. You may pay alittle more however worth every penny for the variety.Highly recommended. I have tried other places and so far Wing Wah I have had no issues with and I've been more than 5 times.
C. G.
The food and service was quite good. One of very good Chinese food I had in Birmingham. The buffet has got good range of choices. The restaurant's exterior and interior also brings the taste of China to the customers
D. D. (.
We come here for most family celebrations. The food is good, but since we come here quite often I must admit I'm rather bored of it. Customer service needs to improve and staff could be abit more enthusiastic when approaching our table for drinks or clearing the tables. The staff do have a bad and un accommodating attitude as said by another person in one of the reviews I read here. Other than that I think its an ok place to dine.
O. C.
Dim sum here is good quality and tasty. Excellent choice as well. Order on a chitty with both Chinese and English versions. Tea is charged per head at 80p each. Noodle dishes to supplement available as well. Note that Wing Wah closes here at Nechells after 2 decades at the end of September and reopens in Birmingham Chinatown on 1 October 2018. Ask for opening offer discount voucher leaflet.
B. 5.
Had some great dim sums here on a saturday lunchtime with my chinese partner. We had a nice selection of dishes at a reasonable price. Only criticism is that the service was a bit slow but we wern't in a hurry that day. On an other occasion we went as a group and some of us wanted buffet and some wanted a la carte dimsums but they wouldnt accomodate us, I assume they thought we would share the food between us. In conclusion the food was good but the service could be better- perhaps the staff could visit the Wolverhampton restaurant?
D. K.
We have been eating here for several years and here is our honest opinion.
1. best to book a table, if not you risk having to wait which isnt a good start but it is because it is so popular.
2. Variety of food doesnt change often but as a visitor once/ twice a month this isnt a problem for us.
3. Food is always hot but during busy times some dishes may run out before they are replaced but klet the staff know and they will soon do this.
4, Staff we have always found to be polite and helpful, Danny I think is one of the managers is always "up for a laugh".
5. Be aware however 30 mins before they close, they stop replenishing dishes or even start removing them so get in their early if you can.
So book, go early and enjoy
L. J.
Good spin on Dim sum presentation whilst maintaining a high standard of traditional and authentic taste.
Nice decor and environment with different and unique atmosphere
R. D. M.
Well I was impressed . The food was all very fresh cooked and the choice Inc sushi etc was just outstanding I just wish this restaurant was in Peterborough because long way but we'll the travel just to eat here. Lovely staff and best Chinese chef in UK. Thankyou for a beautiful meal and excellent presentation.. 100% recommended.....
B. V.
Visited on a Monday lunch time, the staff were accommodating and allowed us to sit near to the buffet because one of our group had mobility issues. The food was pretty good, and the price reasonable.
R.
Ended up here after visiting Wing Yip (which is attached) whilst visiting Birmingham with work. I had a spare hour to kill so decided instead of my usual grab and go lunch I would have a sit down for a change.
It is a very large restaurant. You can choose between a buffet or al a carte - I opted for a buffet as I was starving.
Overall the buffet and service were good (especially for the price - under a tenner for a buffet and coke) but I can't really give any higher than 3 stars as it was nothing special and didn't really offer any more than any other chinese buffet I have been to. I would return if i'm in the area but doubt I would go out of my way to visit here.
J. M.
I love the food here. I've only had the buffet meal option and although it's not the biggest buffet option the food is well cooked and delious. I would recommend this place if passing or for a work buffet or small party.
A. L. J. B.
Good food, nice. However, felt misled when I see beer on draught then see my 568 ml pint coming out of a 440ml tin with a big head that still did not fill the glass. That aside, good food
Y.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to! The food is excellent quality, the cost is reasonable, and the staff are friendly. Although it's not in the city centre, it's still very easy to get to which is handy
A. K.
Great food and excellent value to stop a fantastic restaurant for family get togethers everyone can pick and choose what food they want to eat and also the quantities they want to eat. Really good value, really good service.
V. M.
I came here with my parents for some dim sum , they absolutely loved it and said it was a friendly place and the food was great ! They love dim sum so much and they said wing wah standard had improved since changing Venus !
C. M.
The decor is a little bit dated and could do with a bit of rendering and a coat of paint in some areas but the lunch time food is good and very reasonably priced for work dos.
A. T.
Brilliant. Although quite expensive around £19 each for all you can eat hot pot buffet. Also, kids over 1.4m are charged at full price regardless of their age
A. Y.
Amazing authentic Chinese food in Birmingham!!!! Highly Recommend !!!
J. H.
Surprisingly good Dim Sum. Modern, intimate restaurant. Great food served attentively at a very reasonable price. Recommended.
H. R. (. C.
The all-you-can-eat buffet is keenly priced. However, neither the quality of the food nor the breadth of dishes are anything special. I wouldn't rush back.
M. M.
Best and most convenient all you can eat Chinese buffet. They've moved now, to the city centre, and it's no longer a buffet, and I'm gutted. This site needs a Chinese buffet!
W. W. L.
The food is tasty and portions are big, a little too dark/dim but the service here is top notch
A. X.
Food is really good, i like the sweet and sour pork and egg fried rice .will bring family with me next time
Z. !.
It's OK, staff not really chatty just show you your table, food is in, but chicken was dry, had to wait for my partners food as they forgot. Overall OK but not great.
G. S.
The best authentic experience you'll find outside of hong kong. Great food and immersive atmosphere always reminds me of my favourite holiday.
c.
Dim sum and hot pot is great here, definitely the place to go if you want authentic food rather than the buffet which doesn’t have great variety and isn’t really authentic Chinese food.
K. H.
Nice, good place for all you can eat buffet... Lots of choices, good meals and reasonable prices.
Y. T. C.
Some of the best dim sum food I had outside of Hong Kong. Might be even better than some places in Hong Kong, but 100% best in Birmingham China town
M. M.
Great Dim sum. Had lunch with a Chinese colleague, she thought the taste was authentic. Prices are reasonable service is fast.
C. H.
The restaurant is not well lit but it provides a unique dining experience. The food is not bad and service is good.
B. S.
Great lunch time buffet range and al la carte menu. Food and drink for around £10 during weekday lunch times. Very tasty, fresh and good variety.
N. L.
All you can eat buffet, well worth the money. Down side we had a jug of coke .too big for 2 people but cheaper that by glass .
D. M.
The food was ok although the fried rice wasnt tasty enough for me. There was no icecream my kids were gutted.
T. C.
Been here a few times, nice traditional setup, in a slightly industrial area but easy to get to, lots of parking, set meals & buffet (buffet nice but limited) overall nice food & nice place
W. G.
Great place for "yumcha", Cantonese dimsum. Go at Sunday lunchtime for a sense of what its like to eat in Hong Kong. Be prepared for a long wait for a table, the place is very, very busy!
E. T.
Very Nice Food, Quality service and good environment with Wonderful Live Music for the atmosphere..... Well Done
A. M.
The food and service were outstanding, best chinese I've eaten since I was in Hong Kong.
W. S.
Food wasn't great but it was ok.
The decor and furniture are very dated and worn.
Staff are friendly.

Getting worse and worse with increasing rising prices. Doesn't seem a good idea that this restaurant is moving into central (Chinese Quarter) Birmingham in a few weeks' time too.
r. p.
Quality food and the final was surprising cheap for 2 big family. Will eat there again
M. U.
Me and my family, we absolutely love going there. Both the buffet and the hotpot are delicious and fresh.
H. F.
Food is good and prices good too. We sat at the back and the floor was very slippery.
C. N.
Restaurant environment clean, elegant decoration style, waiter let a person feel comfortable, not artificial
K. O.
Amazing place! Really large range of food variety - each dish tastes fantastic!
J. L.
Hidden at the back of a side street is this gem of a restaurant. Don't be confused like me and assume it is just the rear entrance to the buffet restaurant!
