Had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Personally, I would have liked a lot more roast potatoes - mainly because they were excellent, but very generous with meat and Yorkshire pud, both perfect. If you go, remember to keep some of that pud to mop up the gravy which is also excellent. We went on a rainy day, but on a nice day it looks great for kids outside.

Very warm welcome on arrival. Tapas were highly recommended and me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed. The bar was still decorated in their Jamaican themed night which I would have loved to attended, as it looked amazing. Thank you for a wonderful experience

They accommodated us for Sunday lunch when we phoned in the morning, which was surprising. The staff were friendly and they were busy, however, we waited an hour for our food and the food wasn't all good. Beef was a little tough, the veg seemed from a packet and the stuffing (on a beef dinner) was paxo packet made. . . Disappointing, but perhaps I was expecting too much. Overall, good.

I came for a Sunday Roast Beef dinner with some friends. I must say that we all enjoyed the fresh vegetables with the beef and delicious gravy. There was plenty of vegetables. My friend had a dessert, a roulade with ice cream which was also delicious. Friendly staff and a nice ambience. We will be going again and recommending the Llynfi Arms.

This pub is amazing! The food is so top quality, tasty and presented better than the Hilton. Would 100% recommend going here for food and drinks. The cocktails were cutting edge and the steak was cooked to perfection! Also this pub is stylish and warm. Everything is a fantastic price! We went with family for the first time for the Friday offer of steak night and I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious. The pub itself is lovely very nicely decorated with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff with a good pint served. The steak was cooked to perfection ( compliments to the chef ) the chips could have been a bit more crisper for me but still cooked ok and what was also a deal breaker with your meal you could have a glass of wine or a pint which you don't get in many places. Two meals for nearly £30 including a drink..what are you waiting for, you wont be disappointed.

Had 4 takeaway roast dinners today - 2 adult and 2 childrens. Food was delicious. My only recommendation would be for less parsnips and another slice of meat in the adult meals but apart from that it was perfect. Best part of the dinner were the huge yorkshire puddings👌Good value for money. Thank you!!

My sister, our elderly aunties and I went for an early dinner and the service was impeccable - so fun and friendly - and nothing was too much trouble. The food was plentiful and delicious, a great mix of pub favourites and modern tapas. We had such a great time. Highly recommend!

The inside is like a tardis, very spacious clean, warm, welcoming with a friendly atmosphere. Restaurant gets busy so booking recommended, can understand why it is becoming so popular the food is excellent, homecooked and hot. The bar is well stocked and comfortable. The staff were very helpful concerning my gluten free diet. So glad friends recommend this lovely place.

Wow! My new favourite pub in the area! We had a very warm welcome to the Llynfi Arms, Thursday is steak night and the sirloin was amazing.. fantastic quality and cooked perfectly! I wasn’t going to have desert but when I saw the Malteser Cheesecake I couldn’t resist.. and it was as delicious as it looked. Very nice local Maesteg beer on tap.. cool and crisp. Top food and top service, will definitely return!

Our first visit under the current owners, currently there is a 2 for 1 offer on a Monday evening. Meals excellent value and quality. Staff could not do more and very friendly. There is a restaurant & bar area, it's possible not everyone would be comfortable in the bar as loud bad language is tolerated. Two ales on offer Fairy Glen Brewery's Wolfgang & The Reverend James original. Toilets clean and well serviced. Also the number 70 bus service stops outside & Tondu train station is behind the pub. Would we visit again? Yes.

Didn't have the heart to tell the waitress not to address me as Miss. I am 57. Confusion over the orders. I was wrongly served lamb as a tapas dish when I had wanted it as a main. Husband had finished his lunch before my correct choice arrived. Food good but don't think we will be back.

Really warm welcome when we arrived. I had the rump steak with peppercorn sauce (best I've ever tasted). Onion tings so crisp. Boyfriend had scampi which was also lovely and crisp. Nice little pub in Tondu and meal was lovely.. only downfalls were our table was given a dirty spoon for desert and after a family member mentioning it to me, the staff member overheard and she said she would get a clean one. We were brought the cabbage, peas and carrots in one bowl to go with our sunday lunch, where most pubs would use a sharing plate with separate sections for each portion of food or separate bowls for each veg served.. Could I suggest that maybe the pub consider bringing separate bowls or sharing plates for each as not everyone likes all veg or may be allergic etc to a food and will be reluctant to eat anything else from the one bowl because its mixed but will have still paid as part of their meal. Also maybe consider bringing out more servings of veg as we only had 2 bowls given for 7 peoples plates. Apart from that, we enjoyed our meal and we would go back again for food again.

Take away 'Lockdown' Sunday Lunch was amazing to be fair. I had Pork and my wife, Beef. Both were done superbly, no sign of overcooked veg, the yorkshire puddings were lush.
