Excellent hosts and excellent food at a very reasonable price. It would be difficult to define this place, it isn’t a cafe it isn’t a restaurant but one thing i know for sure is that the products exposed and the dishes ingredients are authentic, fresh and well balanced by the magic hands of the chef Davide, a very sweet and passionate human being… had a very pleasant informal evening with not pressure or uncomfortable formalities. Can’t recommend enough this place, it is now one of my favourite within Brighton area

Exceptional and excellency are the must adjectives for this place. Shame I could only rate 5 stars as they deserve at least 10. Perhaps the most authentic Italian restaurant for the taste of the Italian people. So, if you are not Italian but wish to have a glimpse on how traditional and authentic Italian cuisine is, that’s the place you want to go for. Atmosphere:warm and familiar; Food: goes beyond the expectations. Price: cheap to moderate. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Outdoor seating also available.

Good excellent. We had linguini with mussels. Very good. And a greek salad Perfect too. Cheese cake and brownie just lovely. They are very kind. place to come again.

We had lunch here and it was as good as the previous visits. A very homely family style Italian restaurant. The staff are very friendly, So friendly that one member even had time to help my granddaughter with some Italian words for her school language study. After our meal the chef came out and asked us how we enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable too. This place is a real gem.

Im currently chowing down on the most delicious chocolate calzone ever! Delivery was quick, food is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. Sadly they ran out of a dish tonight but the owner was lovely about it and offered a replacement which is just as great! Thanks will deffo order again 😊

Fairly simple takeaway for two but it was absolutely delicious. Arrived on time, still hot and tasted freshly cooked, unlike some others in the area we've tried. Genuine Italian food. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Authentically Italian family run local cafe, warm a d friendly, with that little bit 'extra'. All food is freshly prepared and homemade and served by the super friendly extended family. Reasonably priced for somewhere that is more than just another sandwich bar. Can be booked for private events. Cozy, eclectic decor. My favourite in Saltdean!

I was visiting from London for the weekend & our friends took us to this quaint Italian deli /restaurant. The food was authentic & outstanding. I had arancini , seafood linguine, diavola pizza & tiramisu. All were excellent and the vegan options were I'm told equally delicious. Very reasonably priced and very friendly staff, can't wait to go back and try there lasagne. Thanks.

We love Crocodile Cafe and order take-outs weekly, visiting a couple of times a week as the food is excellent. Sadly very poor tonight - missing ingredients and burnt pizza parts sadly. Usually so so tasty but we’ve just had to throw out three pizzas. Lasagne was delicious though! :)

The food here is very good, great pizza/pasta/deli options and good specials selection (usually local seafood). As previously noted, staff are very attentive and always smiling, and they have a great pastry chef making fantastic cakes and biscuits too. Prices are pretty cheap - 3 mains with a few fizzy drinks, salad on the side, a dessert for the little one, a couple of espresso and a loaf of bread to take away came to 30 quid :)

Had sea bream that was practically still wriggling it was so fresh! It was beautifully baked with capers and herbs. The price was very reasonable and the staff and owner, all Italian, quite charming. I recently moved to Saltdean so I will be eating there a lot as there is a whole traditional Italian menu to try as well as the specials and the place comes very highly recommended by the locals.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Brighton run by a very hospitable young team. The food includes ingredients sourced directly from Italy and is genuine Italian cuisine served in a rustic atmosphere. The price is extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service.

Great Pizzas, but I can't recommend the sausage meat, it has Fennel seeds mixed in, giving it a strong taste similar to Liquorice, imho it should have no place on a pizza. Other then that it was excellent and delivery was speedy.

Amazing food, fresh ingredients, authenticly Italian dishes. I had the most delicious glass of rosé that I've ever tasted, and the orange polenta crusted salmon, which was dreamy. Gorgeous puddings. Fabulously friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'm surprised by the negative reviews, especially the reference to it being dirty, as it was spotless on our visit. Highly recommended!

There are many Italian restaurants in the Brighton and Hove area but this has got to be one of the best, most authentic Italian eateries in Sussex. It's certainly one of the most reasonably priced and you can park outside for free!

Been there loads of times.... always been great food (and wine) at great prices. Only one bad experience and the owner (David I think) dealt with it perfectly and so we kept going back. Don't expect a slick environment...it's quirky and a little odd...but they are friendly and amazing value for money imho.
