Reviews of Giggling Squid - Brighton
R. N.Went to the Brighton Giggling Squid for the first time, in a group of five on a Wednesday evening (booked a week in advance). It looks like a converted house. Two steep steps up to the entrance door, then sharp right to first dining area or straight ahead up and flights of stairs to other dining areas here and there. Toilets are right at the top of the building, in what looks like a loft conversion (low ceilings at 45 degrees). We had an upstairs table in a small side room containing tables for four, four, two and six (us). Wait staff were frequently to be seen and although it was busy (BOOK!) there was little hanging around. We ordered starters and mains in one go as we were very hungry, and eight drinks. Cocktails served quickly, all good. Food was presented in lidded fry pans and stoneware bowls, which you ate from with knived and forks. Everything was nice, one starter, one main and a rice or noodle dish was about about right size for one hungry adult. They add a 10% service charge to the bill without asking, but waiter said that is shared equally between the staff so I left it at that and no tip on top, £184.03 total. NB. Evening parking at The Lanes is just £5 from 6pm to midnight and we used it. It is an excellent facility just found the corner from the restaurant.

A. G.I totally loved this place. The food was really amazing. Every single dish was delicious. With nice presentation and great flavours. The staff was lovely. There was a bit of confusion with the order and we ended up waiting longer than needed for the main course. But the manager and the rest of the staff was very apologetic and ended up making up for the delay giving us a great experience anyway (mistakes can happen to everybody after all!). Hence the five stars, all well deserved for this place located in a nice corner of Brighton. To try!
R. W.Excellent lunchtime visit. 2 dish special is very good value for the price. Great friendly service. Judging by how busy it was booking is recommended although they seem to do there best to accommodate walk ins.
L. V.Amazing Thai restaurant in the heart of Brighton. The staff is friendly, the place is welcoming and the food... It's absolutely delicious! Don't skip the starters! From prawns crackers to duck spring rolls, from dumplings to pork belly, I've tried them all and they are all amazing! The variety of options to chose from when it comes to main courses is also a delight. I tend to go for beef and pork, but there are delicious fish and seafood dishes that will blow your mind too. Drinks are well priced and the wine list is decent. When the weather is warm, try and seat outside to enjoy the happy mood of this amazing town. Amazing way to end a day trip to the beach!
