Reviews of Purezza Brighton

We had a lovely meal here upon a recommendation from my mum who is vegan. The whole menu is plant based. We arrived at about 5pm prior to it getting quite busy. Two of us had pizza's which were super yummy. The bases are really very tasty and you have options to make them from alternative ingredients - hemp and freedom bases were on offer for a few pounds more but we were happy to just have the wholemeal. One of our group had 'the one with pesto' and another 'the seasonal one'. I opted for something different the 'pure bowl' a salad type gorgeous mix of lentils, buckwheat, kale, courgettes, sun soaked tomatoes and crispy corn. We shared a chocolate pizza between the 3 of us for dessert - which was a good size and about right amount after our meal. Everyone's food was delicious and staff attentive. Will definitely be back.

Love the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious and very authentic to what you find in Italy. The pepperoni one was maybe a bit too loaded and a bit oily, but that wasn't a big issue. They also have a cute dog menu which I think was very sweet.
A. D.
I've been to Purezza in London as well as Brighton and they're both absolutely brilliant. The food is great value for money and one of the best vegan pizzas I've eaten in Europe. Their dough balls are gooey and their home made lemonade is refreshing!
A. H.
Having been to the branches in Camden and in Hove, I already am a big fan of Purezza. Every pizza I’ve had has been consistently great, unique and delicious. This time, I tried their new carbonara pizza which was really interesting - it was surprisingly creamy! Their meatball pizza was also very classic and tasted great - I love the vegan mozzarella they make. Service was great, only thing was that I found the restaurant a little cramped - it’s much smaller than their restaurant in Hove.
B. F.
Booked a table after a quick search of vegan friendly options in the area, was extremely happy with our choice.
Ordered the pesto pizza and the BBQ porketta pizza with Gaelic dip, fried corn nibbles for the table and finished off with the cheesecake and brownie for dessert.
Everything was absolutely incredible, food arrived at the table quickly and everything just felt high quality and authentic. My girlfriend is not vegan, and she loved everything put in front of her, including a taste of mine and although she was too full to finish the last couple slices, she got it boxed up to take home to enjoy later in the evening.
Would 100% come again next time we're in Brighton, would fully recommend for any vegan pizza lovers.
P. J.
Lovely and attentive staff, great atmosphere, and the pizzas are so delicious, and what a variety of plant based dishes. I had the pizza carbonara which was just so rich and tasty. Although an Italian would probably have a minor fit if seeing this, haha.
K. F.
Nice atmosphere, decent pizza. The mozzarella cheese was to jelly like for me and so I couldn't eat it and a lot of the cheeses were out, so we had to deal with replacements. We probably went too late. Staff were very lovely and helpful, which made it a pleasurable experience.
R. B.
Had a lovely meal here, perfect for gluten free vegans. I really loved the corgetti spaghetti too. The service was wonderful, can't wait to go again!
S.
Very delicious Pizza. They offer a lot of different options and even a sweet pizza as a desert. The location is very central next to a lot of different shops and you can reach it very good with public transport. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is amazing as well. The waiters are nice and quickly there for you.
M. S.
Amazing 100% plant-based pizzeria. We had the pesto-based pizza and the tomato-based aubergine parmigiana pizza and both were amazing. Sides really good too! Great fast service as well. 100% recommended!
B.
Busy place but friendly staff, and the food is really nice. I particularly like having 3 options for the pizza dough, and it is good overall. The pizzas look great and are tasty. What I like the most is the 100% vegan, a première for me at a pizzeria.
A. O.
The best pizza this side of Como! We're not vegan but heard the pizza here is delicious and it surely was! Try the smoked mozzarella margarita, it might sound simple but it delivers incredible taste! We'll be looking for a branch in London so we can go more regularly.
R. D.
Just had a pizza here, lovely vegan joint.
Staff are very friendly and happy to assist with suggestions and went above and beyond for allergy awareness.
My waitress was Iside and another lady but I didn't get her name - both very nice.
Wine is superb, plan to come back some time very soon!
J.
amazing pizza! super nice thin crust - I even liked the vegan cheese a lot which is always a bit tricky
C. T.
Absolutely delicious vegan pizzas. The service is friendly, the venue is bright, airy and cheerful. Food prices are very reasonable for what you get, drink prices are about average. Would definitely go again!
L. J.
If I could rate this place any higher I honestly would! It had been quite a few years since I had one of their pizzas and I was worried that it wouldn't live up to my memory but oh wow it did. The pizzas are so delicious as are the smoothies and sides. A vegans pizza paradise.
R. S.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The dough balls deserve their reputation, and the meatballs were also incredible.
The service was great, and everyone was super friendly. The cocktails are also delicious!
Thank you!
C. F.
Pizzas were fresh, hot, nice and tasty. Base of the Meat Feast was a little too thin, made eating it a bit difficult. Overall a nice meal. Could also do with some signage that it is a vegan restaurant.
K. S.
Went here for boyfriends birthday and was amazing. Quick hot vegan food. Got the mac and cheese, dough balls (which were filled with cheese!!). Tasty pizzas, which an amazing tomato sauce and a great selection of toppings.
Cocktails were fantatsic too.
T. S.
The best vegan pizza we ever had, the only thing that was a bit disappointing was the vegan cheese which could have been better. We imagined how their pizza would taste with a great selfmade vegan cashew ricotta instead of trying to replace Mozzarella. Anyway we highly recommend this place, also I loved the fact that they don't use any nuts in their kitchen what made me feel safe due to lots of allergies. Also the menu shows every allergene. The Cheesecake for dessert was mouthwatering 👌🏼
J. j.
What a lovely place. I would highly recommend. Our first time going plant based and we really enjoyed it. Great staff great food Thank-you ps cabonara pizza.... yum
E. L.
We popped in for a fairly late dinner and were seated and served really quickly, staff are absolutely lovely. Food is gorgeous, the pizzas were fantastic, tasted really fresh with great ingredients. Sides/nibbles/drinks (mocktails) were also ace. Will be back when we're next in Brighton.
S. W.
Absolutely delicious pizza! Really couldn’t fault the food or service. My daughter has severe allergies to diary and she was able to have an amazing lunch here. We will be back very soon!
s. l.
Pizza's GOOD , I like this place . There is a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere . 😍😍😍🥰 Thank you for service and for being gentlement. 💖
A. P.
Pizza at Purezza is always great, but Antonella and Sofia are just on a different level! Amazing pizza and great to see young motivated women running the kitchen.
We'll be back soon! A presto :)
Ps: please bring back the fried aubergines for the Parmigiana Party pizza!
R. T.
The most delicious pizza I had in a long time! The dough was just right 👌 I had their version of the quattro stagioni - it was filled with veggies and delicious! Many more pizzas and some other dishes on the menu as well. The service was very good too. The place is very cosy. A bit on a pricey side, though.

Coming from London I did my little research on what vegan places to visit. Purezza wasn’t a suggestion in google maps neither on the friends I have asked. Tbh as well, I was looking forward to have an experience in a different type of cuisine. We had the bowl and the pancetta pizza. I haven’t had a vegan pancetta as tasty as this one in my life! Not just tasty but also the perfect texture! The bowl was excellent full of many ingredients but also full of flavours! We loved the experience of eating in Purezza, as they have a dogs menu, kids (if I am not mistaken under 10) can have a free meal, they also have a sitting out area. We want to highlight also the service provided by one of the waiters, which terribly I forgot their name but I remember that they is from Spain. Bravo! We saw you interacting around with everyone always in a great friendly manner and asking if anybody needed anything! Thanks for your service a lot!
A. M.
The food is incredible, I've been here a bunch of times and it's always so tasty! The charisma of the staff is wonderful! Not 5 ⭐ because, when busy, you have to wait a while for the bill and to pay.
J. G.
Amazing vegan pizza! The pesto one was my favourite. Unlimited dips for free .
Staff were efficient and food came out quickly
Only criticism is a bottle of beer is £5.95 which is expensive
Y. T.
Plant-base pizza that you won't be realized that there is no meat in your pizza. My truffle pizza was so good and the courgette pesto was so tasty, a must to order. We were there with a huge 10-people table at lunch but they manage to get our pizza in a decent time, excellent service indeed
C.
So good as usual! Wouldn't have known everything was vegan! The meatball and carbonara ones were one of the best flavors we've tried. Small space so book in advance to guarantee a spot.
J. D.
The most amazing vegan pizza I have yet had in my vegan life. Literally the fluffiest dough that was perfectly baked - not too hard and yet still deliciously crispy. The vegan cheeses on the cheese platter were basically a platter full of vegan drugs, couldn't stop eating as how delicious it was. On top of that the pizzeria is beautiful inside out with nicely designed interiors. And to finish it the staff is very friendly, helps out and gives you a smile. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by this one and enjoying a pizza, it would be, literally, stupid not to!
S. C.
London Vegan visiting Brighton. Purezza did not disappoint! Potentially the best vegan pizza I have ever had (parmigiana party). Service was excellent, food and cocktails were delicious. Will be back and would recommend! Nb visited 7th july and seating options are available :)
R. M.
The best vegan pizza i've tried in my life. The vulcano pizza is one of the highlights. Totally caring for the palates of vegans. The staffs are very kind and the service is outstanding. Yet i think they should work more on their desserts, but it is understandable because using vegan products to make a good dessert is quite challenging. Also the organic composed karma cola is just amazing and healthy
E. S.
I’m not vegan or veggie but I LOVE these pizzas! The ‘cheese’ is so creamy and all the toppings are flavourful and the dough is delicious. I always recommend this place to people. The Oreo milkshake is a must.
J. G.
After being recommended this very cool little place by our friends down in Brighton, we had to go check it out. The only slight problem was the wait for a table as it's so popular, but I was really impressed by the fact that they took a phone number and gave us a call when the table was ready, so we got a drink elsewhere whilst waiting. It's busy and fairly noisy, but we could still talk. The pizzas, starters and sides were all delicious. I'm not vegan, and was amazed at how much flavour they manage to pack into these pizzas - and very fairly priced as well! I had the 'Pesto Manifesto', and the others had the 'Telling Porkies' and 'Parmigiana Party'. All were superb. Thoroughly impressed and would certainly visit again, well done Purezza!
V. H.
I’ve been in Purezza Brighton multiple times, and my last visit really put me off 🙁 the food was just okay and the staff seemed unbothered, we’ve ordered a side which we never got, it wasn’t on the bill so we didn’t even mention it at the end, but we didn’t really feel welcomed on this occasion unfortunately. Better luck for next time I guess🤞🍕
R. M.
Love Purezza! 100% vegan so no more worrying about which dishes you can eat. The cashew cheese they make is delicious - try the cheese board platter! Amazing pizzas and sides. Milk shakes can take a while to turn up at busy times.
1. 3.
Even if you are not Vegan the pizza at Purezza is really good. They have lots of choices, it took me a while to make my choice as all of them sounded delicious.
P. I.
Saved as one of my favorite places on Planet Earth.
We did an experiment and the result deserved 5 star. No milk, no gluten, no sugar, no meet... I did not only survived it but really enjoyed every moment of our dinner. Children with very selective taste could also fill their belly. And the service was very friendly, helpful and perfect.
A. A.
This is a plant based pizza place with vegan cheese.
The pizza was better than many traditional pizza places, I had the Hemp base, kids had Wholegrain Sour dough.
We loved it. The place is so inclusive too almost every minority was eating in there !
G. P.
The most fabulous vegan pizza I’ ve had until now!
The base is super light and soft!
The courgette spaghetti with pesto was amazing, really tasting!
I was shocked about how tasty and good were the vegan cheeses! Highly recommend!
C. B.
A real find for a vegan food explorer. I had a 100% vegan margherita pizza on a gluten-free base. Delicious, tasted like a real Italian pizza. Good service and reasonable price. Honestly, I'll go again if I'm around here.
S. H.
Very knowledgeable about gluten free and coeliac.Shame it was very slow service and by the time I had my gf pizza the test had almost eaten theirs.nice fresh ingredients and very good for vegans. Also smoothies were rated high with my children.Have to say that pizza express do a better pizza base and more choice of salads but appreciate the effort.
E. F.
Delicious vegan pizza & smoothies. Great atmosphere. Excellent, friendly service. Lots of choice on the menu and participating in the government discount scheme.
C. P.
I have been to the London branch and couldn’t miss a visit to the first branch in Brighton today. This place never disappoints. The courgette spaghetti are out of this world and the pizza... well, I tried half of the menu and cannot choose my favourite! Will need to try it all to crown the winner! A MUST TRY
E. C.
Most delicious pizza and toppings, the sides are also amazing (just wish the beetroot and banana dips would come back!) Service has always been good and everyone I take to try it here enjoys the pizza (vegan and non vegans!)
S. S.
Amazing pizza! Forget the boring standard Italian pizza menu. Here you can enjoy unique pizzas, served by awesome staff. I didn't notice it was vegan.
J.
Purezza is LITERALLY the best vegan pizza restaurant on this planet! I decided I'd get their Parmigiana Party, which won Pizza of the Year 2018 at the National Pizza Awards (beating non-vegan pizzas might I add) and my wife got the Cheesesteak Calzone.
We also got a side of the dough balls, which in my opinion is an absolute must have and if you don't get these, did you even go to Purezza? The dough balls have the most incredible melted vegan cheddar on the planet and are sublime! My pizza had a tomato base with smoked mozzarella and topped with aubergine and crumbled sausage, finished with a dusting of nooch.
The pizza was completely flawless, and with so much flavour. it is easily one of the best pizzas I've ever experienced! The Calzone was oozing with melted cheese and inside contained shaved seitan, caramelised onions, roasted pepper and parsley. The calzone was also fantastic! Highly recommend you try this place out, vegan or not! 💚
S. V.
Pleasantly surprised, really nice menu and all 4 pizzas we had tasted good - I was dubious about a pizza without real cheese but I'd definitely go back for more! A great find in Kemp Town.
A. E.
Best calzone/pizza I have ever had AND its vegan so, 2 huge pluses! Staff very were friendly and helpful throughout the meal! If you like food in the slightest, go here... NOW!
S. D.
Amazing vegan pizzas. The base is just perfect. What more could you want? (Don't say "real cheese" until you've tried their own made dairy free cheese!
S. K.
Came here to try the vegan pizza as what they are known for. It was a good experience and I must admit the service had been positive. However, I ordered a margarita pizza, which I must admit made feel a bit ill. Now, I can’t scrutinise the food or presentation, but I ended up enjoying the wholewheat base side crust.
b. c.
Love this vegan pizzeria! It just has the best food! And a great selection to choose from. Great staff are always happy and helpful.
H. M.
Great pizzas. Absolutely delicious with friendly and attentive staff.
The music was good too!!
M. M.
Delicious plant-based food!
Everything we had was outstanding, one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life (Parmigiana Party) and the lasagne and brownie were equally fresh and amazing. You wouldn’t believe it’s all plant-based, this is what all vegan food should be like!
So happy they are planning to open in London next year. Can’t wait to return to try everything else!
A. A.
This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had which is high praise considering I am not even vegan!
E. J.
Amazing pizza and great service. My partner said it was the best gluten free pizza he's ever had! Would go again.
J. D.
You soon find out why this place is always busy, they serve an excellent variety of sourdough pizza and cater to all dietary requirements. Staff are knowledge and happy to provide recommendations. Great choice for vegan and meat eaters alike
L. I.
Favourite vegan pizza restaurant in Brighton serving a good range of delicious food including wood-fired pizzas, macaroni cheese, wraps and salads. Do try the scrumptious Oreo pizza if you're feeling decadent. Suitable for singles popping out for lunch, couples wanting something a bit special, plus big enough for groups. Dog friendly. Attentive staff.
D. H.
The food was very good but the staff was not. We felt unpleasent. We arrived at 8.45 PM..at 9.30 they already started closing. We were rushed to finish. It sayed closing time would be 10 PM. But we were forced to leave before so we could not finsih our drinks.
A. G.
Amazing! We are making a pizza quest since we came in UK. The dough of this pizza is one of the best I ever taste. Add on this quality the fact than it's 100% cruelty free and we have something perfect.
G. J.
Vegan pizza heaven. Sourdough, hemp and gluten free dough options. The pizza here is magnificent. All plant-based. They also offer different pastas, wine and beer. Hot drinks and smoothies. The only accept card payment. The desserts are delicious too. Try the oreo pizza, or the dough ball for starter. Toilets are clean, staff is helpful and kind. Highly recommended.
B. Z.
Where to begin?? let’s start by saying that coming all the way from Lyon just to go to purezza was one of the best life decisions I have ever made.
The service was amazing, it felt as if I was at home waiting for dinner to be served. I had the truffle pizza which was to die for (figuratively, as no animal was harmed in the creation of this work of art). It is so heartwarming to visit an entirely vegan establishment that has such passion for what they do.
A migliore pizza che ho mangiato nella mia vita è questa, e si sono già andato a Napoli ;)
Make sure to try out one of their drinks or desserts which are unique and such a treat. I had the Oreo milkshake which was truly the cherry on top of a perfect sunny day in Brighton. Thank you to all of the lovey staff and people behind this amazing restaurant. You guys are truly rockstars and I will make sure to return to Brighton as often as possible with the sole purpose of being your happy customer.
Cheers :)

Called in yesterday and enjoyed one of the tastiest meals I have eaten
for awhile..The service was excellent so friendly. Only wish we did not live in the north.
R. H.
Absolutely fantastic. The staff are always so accommodating to our 2 small children. The pizzas are always delicious.
J. B.
Happened upon this place as a non-vegan/non-vegitarian. Blown away by the quality of the food, black truffle and pulled porketta pizza was incredible. Banging gluten free Pizza too.
Great friendly service, highly recommended.
D. S.
Purezza which means purity is an all vegan pizzeria. They have an amazing selection of pizzas and other Italian dishes including some raw options on the menu. The restaurant is light, large and clean, and can accommodate groups large and small. I was well impressed with my pizza and enjoyed a raw tiramisu for dessert. They use a wood fire style gas oven, the pizza misses the smokey flavours of a traditional oven but is much more environmentally friendly.
J. J.
We loved our visit at Purezza. Nice smallish pizza place with delicious choice of pizza for all (including GLuten free versions), kids menu and a super friendly service. The staff is incredibly lovely and made our first visit all the more enjoyable. We will definitely come back. The place looked very popular and might be best booking in advance.
S. G.
Popped in today for coffee and a pud (after takeaway pizza and calzone last night! Was superb 😋) couldn't resist the cheeseboard which was fricking marvellous and the lemon cheesecake was up there with the best I've ever had 🎉🎉 lucky I don't live closer cause my waistline would be in serious jeopardy!! 😍👌 No pics of the pizza cause we were hungry and it smelt too good to hesitate even a moment 🤣🤣
R. H.
Second time I've been here and I love the food. The pizza and brownie taste are out of this world. I'd have this over any meal.
T. M.
Utterly delicious vegan pizza, with a super hemp base which was gluten free and scrumptious.
A must visit if you love pizza, will certainly be returning very shortly.
Friendly staff too.
Much love :)
G. R.
Really tasty plant based menu. Great carrot juice and coffee. The service was attentive, honest and just the right amount of friendliness. We were made to feel welcome and had a fantastic lunch. No doubt we will be back to try some more dishes.
F. B.
We've been here a few times before. And as always the food was fantastic. We went for the Telling Porkies pizza with wholewheat base with a side of cheesy garlic bread. The meal was amazing, the atmosphere great and our waitress Ellie was brilliant. Couldn't fault it. If you are looking for fantastic vegan pizza in Brighton look no further!
M.
Best vegan place in Brighton. I would recommend it to everyone , not just vegan people. The have gluten free pizza as well .
The service is lovely here. They can accommodate groups of around 10 people.
My favourite pizzas are telling porkies and parmigiana party.
N. C.
Simply some of the best pizza I've ever had - vegan or not. Don't be put off by the 100% plant based menu, the pizza here is world class.
Base light and spongy, the toppings perfect, and cheese amazing. Had a marinara party and a portion of dough balls.
Service was fast and pleasant, all in all, a brilliant pizza place.
A. l.
The pizza dough was impressive, the mozzarella for being vegan was not bad. I really like the site and the location. However, I did not like the attention of the staff. They were cordial but not enthusiastic and unwilling to work. They did not explain anything to me but luckily I had already done my research before. For me one of the most important things is customer service and I think they have to improve.
K. L.
Simply the best pizza I've had in my life. Enough said. Go here eat here you will love it. Staff were amazing so friendly and it's in a great central location. I would visit here everyday if it was okay to eat pizza that often. That said in the 5 days we were here. We visited 3 times it's that good also get a desert!! They are awesome.
S. L.
So much cuter than I thought it would be. The food was AMAZING! If I wasn't vegan, I could've easily been fooled by their homemade mozzarella - it was incredible. My non-vegan husband also really enjoyed it!
M. K.
Amazing place with great selection of Vegan delicacies. The staff is very sweet and friendly. It is highly advisable to book a table before going as there is generally a minimum of 30min waiting because of the restaurant being so popular.
R. B.
Probably the best vegan pizza I've ever had, by a long stretch. Everything has tonnes of flavour and the service is usually quite good. They also serve some nice wines (the mulled wine at Christmastime was delicious). Highly recommended.
M. W.
AMAZING place for both vegans and the plant-curious - the food is off the scale! I've taken carnivore friends and they loved it. Try the dough balls, they are a food group in their own right.
And the staff are just lovely, definitely worth the wait for a table if busy.
F. A.
Delicious vegan margarita pizza. I loved their matcha latte so much. The place is so small but has good staff who's always in hurry to serve everyone as possible as they can. I think the manager with her straight face must smile at least with customers.
T. A.
One of the best Pizzas i've ever eaten, so rich in flavour. Such a lovely vegan place and really friendly staff.
A. D.
Really tasty pizza, great bases and the toppings work well together. I was skeptical about vegan pizza but these guys get it right. Good service, nice drinks and good value. Lots to like
F. F.
The pizza here is amazing. Dough balls are to die for. The cocktails are fabulous. Never eaten anything bad here. My partner who isnt vegan also says it's the best pizza place.
D. W.
Vegan comfort food that you wouldn't know was vegan. I ordered the special which was pitched to me as 'basically a christmas roast dinner in a folded pizza' and it did NOT disappoint. Delicious, well presented and seriously chunky food with an original twist. Service from two different waitresses was fast, friendly and helpful. I've been vegan for 4 years, have lived in London and Brighton (the two vegan hotspots in the world maybe?) and this is definitely up there.
Also - very reasonable prices. Average for a CHUNKY main (no poncy nouveau cuisine portions here) is about £11.
B. C.
Fantastic vegan gluten free pizza! Aware about allergies and Celiac. Cheesecake a little small for £5 but very tasty
f. s.
Girlfriend had a aubergine tofu sausage pizza and was happy with it. I had a beetroot artichoke pizza and found it ok. We're both non vegan and were surprised how tasty the pizzas were. Waitress was quit rude but all in all a reasonable experience.
K. E.
Best gf pizza dough I have ever had! Surprisingly nice vegan cheese! Delicious smoothies. I am not vegetarian but enjoyed dining there. Thanks.
H. B.
Purezza Pizza is definitely a place you should go. The staff is very friendly, you get your food on time and the food tastes absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place to everybody who wants to eat delicious vegan dishes. We will for sure come here again.
A. A.
Guten free and meat free - this place is a pizza specialist! Making authentic fluffy pizza with a variety of seitan alternative meat. By no means are these pizza bland. I tried the "one one with potatoes" with special pizza mayo. A little spucy but overall very flavoursome. Their mac and cheese is great too. You dont ecen need to check if anything is veggie/vegan. It just all is. Staff are nice too!
T. T.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had! Definitely will return, so worth a visit and I'm not even vegan!!!
J. B.
One of the best pizzas I've had in my life, if not the best! Highly recommend if you're bored of the typical vegan pizza with cheese, mushrooms and peppers. The entire menu is vegan so no need to double check the ingredients with the waiter. The menu is very interesting with so many types of pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as desserts. We've ordered two different types and had them with their basil sauce. If you're not a vegan I think you'd also enjoy this place and their food just as much. Totally worth visiting!
C. D.
Best vegan lasagne ever. Pesto pizza looked amazing. Great service for us ladies on a hen weekend
I. B.
This was hands-down the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten, and my wife's was incredible too. Having recently decided to switch to a plant-based diet we stumbled across this restaurant online while planning a day in Brighton - and I'm glad we did! We have our own pizza oven at home and regularly fire it up enjoying delicious home made pizza. But now that we've been here we really need to up our sauce game! (And toppings too!) They are a cashless, plant-based, and super-friendly setup, and we would highly recommend dropping in (they don't take reservations) whether you're vegetarian or not!
E. B.
Tasty vegan Pizza and Cashew based cheeses. The olives were also really good, I would deffinatly recomend to anyone who likes Pizza 😍
M. G.
I loved it! The service was excellent and the pizza was perfect! I live in London and have been to the Purezza in Camden a few times.. the quality is 💯 consistent!!
A. T.
Absolutely amazing pizza! The Marinara was so tasty and flavorful making it one of the best I've ever had so far. Definitely give it a try, plus it is fully vegan.
S. D.
Great flavours, amazing vegetarian 'cheese', and excellent customer service. The staff were lovely.
S. J.
An all vegan Italian style restaurant- good range of menu but special focus is on pizzas.
R. H.
This is my first time trying a vegetarian pizza. They offer plenty of options and I think that the idea is fantastic and the place is beautiful for chilling. The service is good. I believe that one pizza is enough for sharing. Weborderesn 2 and we did not finish them. Also, one of the pizzas was not completely hot in the bottom and the only thing that I would suggest is to refresh the closing times that appear on google. Yesterday we saw that the restaurant closes at 11, so we got there at 9:15 and they told us that we just had 45 minutes to eat and I saw that people arrived before 10:45 and they did not receive service. Just saying this because if I came to Brighton for only two nights (as my case), and I trust Google, it would be an enormous deception not to be able to eat there as the closing times are wrong.

Best vegan pizza I've ever had (trust me, I'm Italian). The dough is to die for and the staff supersweet. If I lived in Brighton I'd be a regular for sure. Go for it, you'll love it!
K. s.
VEGAN pizza place. This place does not sell meat or meat/animal products!
Now that is out the way this is a fantastic vegan restaurant. The staff are lovely, the food is great. Plus it's dog friendly.
It gets very busy so I advise to book, but the wait for a table isn't normally too bad.
My only criticism is that they removed the apple calzone from the menu - that was my absolute favourite.
P. T.
Amazing food, friendly staff, awesome drinks, & lush desserts. Need I say more?
We went here as a nice evening meal out as a treat before my husband started chemo & we can both testify it was a superb choice. One of the best ways to lift your spirits.
J. H.
We shared a pizza, garlic bread and a salad between two which we thought was plenty. Dough was amazing. The staff there were really nice and attentive. We really enjoyed our food and would love to go back again.
The garlic sauce was particularly peng.
J. R.
Quick service and super fresh delicious pizza, lovely to be able to customise with such a variety of toppings
M. W.
The second time I've headed down to Brighton for this pizza; it never fails to disappoint! Wonderful as always.
L. K.
Really nice place. Not a vegan, but very satisfied. Highly recommend for Italian cuisine fans in a vegan option.
B. B.
Friendly staff. Great range of food and drinks. Partly wheelchair accessible but possibly not advisable, especially if they are busy and unsure if they have accessible disabled facilities. Not too pricey.
S. P.
Very good vegan proper pizza! Lots of choice.
I. B.
One of the best pizza I've ever eaten, and I'm Italian, so it's a real compliment! Worth the trip!
B. E.
Take away pizzas, Marinara and Magaretia ordered. Both on gluten free bases. Absolutely fantastic both very well appreciated by the recipients. Described as possibly the best gluten free vegan pizzas in the UK by my children. Very happy to return, very reasonably priced. Very busy in evening as well, advised to book a table.
D. H.
Very unusual vegan pizzas, featuring their unique vegan "mozzarella", seitan "salami", along with more mainstream veggie toppings like potato, avocado, artochoke, olive, tomato. They are quite tasty if a little heavy-going, but the garlic bread was disappointing. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
H. P.
I've eaten a lot of vegan pizzas and the Quattro Formaggi was the best pizza I've ever had! Ever ever!!!! Their vegan cheese is really good and the service was friendly and lovely.
R. S.
Both Brighton and Hove venues are lovely restaurants in every way. Fantastic variety of the menu and very tasty, authentic specials . The House White was a welcomed surprise and the staff are always attentive and very good at their job.
My only qualm is the £2 "Freedom" charge. If you're Gluten Free, be prepared to pay an extra (roughly) 20%. This isn't a charge with which I particularly agree. Gluten Free produce is traditionally more expensive, but it doesn't justify the disproportionate charge.
L. P.
Everything was perfect. it's my favourite restaurant. too bad i don't live in Brighton.the prices could be lower, actually.
P. H.
Couldn't have asked for more. Warm, inviting, lovely staff and THEE best pizza I have ever had outside of Italy. Can't recommend it enough and it's very reasonable.
D. E.
Great Italian style vegan restaurant, good food and friendly service.
I. R.
Purezza prides itself in being the first vegan pizzeria, and for this fact alone it should be lauded. Finding tasty plant-based alternatives to use in pizza is a major challenge, and overall Purezza met the challenge very successfully. Let's start with the really good: the pizza dough is simply perfection. It can be eaten alone, it's that delicious and light and flavorful. We opted for the Friarielli pizza and the "tellin porkies" one. The melted vegan cheeses (different in both pizzas) are good, but one has to get used to them. The consistency is more bechamel-like than melted cheese, and the flavor is certainly different than the original cheeses (mozzarella and cheddar, respectively). We also ordered the rocket salad, which was slightly underwhelming in that the rocket was slightly "tired" and it all clumped together with the balsamic glaze. It was still good, but could be better with just simple seasoning (oil/vinegar). The service was meh, our waiter a little cold and aloof. Overall we had a nice evening at Purezza, ate well and very much appreciate the effort and the result in making a 100% plant-nsed pizza. We'll probably come back, hoping that some glitches are just ... glitches.
V. B.
The place is simply amazing and the food is awesome. Pizzas are really good, very weird but incredible tasty. The soup of the day is also very good. For dessert, tiramisu is the best. The staff is really good, very friendly, specially Ross. Definitely coming back soon.
N. H.
Absolutely fantastic. Best gluten free vegan pizza we've ever had. Staff were very friendly and accommodating .
C. B.
What a great place to eat....everyone tastes so fresh I had lasagne and garlic bread...highly recommend to all xxx
T. F.
Amazing vegan pizzas and great customer service. Also, they are dog friendly.
A. A.
Fantastic vegan restaurant with a huge selection and great pizza. Highly recommended the banana chutney with your pizza - who'd have thought!
a. G.
Was good, I only did drink a coffee so I can't comment on the food, waiter was fantastic very polite. The coffee cappuccino was a bit milky mostly milk and not offering chocolate on top or cinamon, I have a glass that was very pretty kind of rustic style but no handle to grab the drink that was hot. I will come back and try more and review this comment later in time.
J.
Delicious plant-based food, relaxed atmosphere. Love that it’s cash only. Staff are pleasant and cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble.
A. M.
Amazing vegan pizza, flavor bomb, gooey vegan cheese, just the right ratio of fluffy and crispy pizza crust. A must eat in Brighton!
M. R.
Fully vegan pizzeria in Brighton was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. So many unique pizzas to choose from with friendly staff, clean bathrooms (with sustainable loo paper!) and a great location.
B. L.
Really good pizza, especially good dough. The staff were good, v friendly. Will definitely go back.
L. Y.
Delicious pizza and out of this world vegan ice-cream! Friendly staff and a lovely vibrant atmosphere. A must for vegan pizza lovers.
D. G.
Great vegan Pizza, and I have never said that before
C. B. M. I.
SUCH GOOD PIZZA
Not just for vegans either.
My first time having a delivery from Purezza after many eating in experiences there.
It was delivered on time - even on New Year’s Eve. Still hot. Still as delicious.
I loved my njuda pizza. I’ve been hooked on the truffle one until now. I really don’t think a meat eater would notice it wasn’t meat.
I can’t recommend enough.
P. L.
I’m writing from Pizza Heaven...
Being a lover of the dish I was convinced by our vegan daughter to try. We managed to get a booking at 8.40pm which is a good sign and got greeted by a friendly bunch, order some snacks to share and garlic bread to die for !!!! Then pizzas arrived, light, large, fluffy, tasty - well just amazing (I had the one with the truffle) with some lovely side dishes. Small but selection of good wines. All reasonably priced and in a safe and clean environment. Thank you, will drive 90miles again to PUREZZA to go to Heaven
C.
Nice food, not the cheapest but worth it. Helpful staff. Lots of choice, will be going again at the next opportunity I get, recommended it to friends. Cheesy garlic bread was amazing.
N. B.
Gorgeous pizza and cheezy doughballs. The pesto dip is a must. I was dreaming of doughballs for days afterwards.
P. S.
Absolutely amazing food experience!!! Starting with the variety of vegan food offered, going ahead with the great selection of drinks and spirit they have....not to end with the lovely staff!! Definitely a place to have on your eat out places list in Brighton. A must try: hemp flour pizzas! Loved them! Looking forward coming next time!
R. P.
Incredible vegan pizza... well, incredible everything actually.
Friendly service, nice environment and only a short walk from all the popular amenities of the area.
Would 100% recommend this - even to groups without vegans as the pizza really is THAT GOOD.
We'll be back :)
S. A.
Purezza has a nice vibe and the team were really friendly. Only concern I had was that the pizza's were a bit oily which was a shame because the flavours were great. The ice creams were really nice especially the chocolate one.
A.
Best vegan pizza you can get. The wine options and cocktails are really lovely as well. Staff polite and helpful even though it was super busy.
L. C.
Fantastic vegan pizzas! Some of the best pizza dough we've ever had! Good selection with regular specials. Only a few tables and gets quite busy so make sure you book if you don't want to wait. We tried the vegan cheese board which was interesting.
N. J.
Best pizza I ever had! Excellent service, in a cool neighborhood, and kids get a free kids pizza. Go!
V. S.
Best vegan gluten free pizza I've ever had. Keep being amazing guys and please come to Australia! !!
D. J.
Good atmosphere, kind staff, great food in general, but the best pizza ever (not just since I'm vegan) :)
A. D.
Came here pretty late on a Sunday night. Fred and the other staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Great pizza and great cocktails.
Will be back again
M. Z.
The experience we had was a weird one. We were turned down at the door because of a lack of a booking despite managing to get a booking for an hour later and despite there being multiple tables available.
The menu contained a "Homemade Lemonade", which when ordered we found out it was actually a canned lemonade (250ml).
We also had the Corn snack, which was not only disappointing but it also seemed no different to storebought corn nibbles where you would get a lot more for your money and also a lot more flavour.
1 of the Doughballs we had did not have cheese in it and there were far less than expected (3) for £5.
The Pizzas arrived fairly fast and looked impressive. Unfortunately the taste did not match the visuals.
We had the Meat Feast Pizza which was fairly bland outside of the incredibly incredibly peppery sauce underdeath the topings, which was also very slimy.
Also the overhead lamps were dusty and were covered in cobwebs, which wasn't exactly pleasant.
After finishing we had to ask for the bill ourselves as we were not looked after, that being 10 minutes after finishing our food.
All in all it's a good experience for trying a plant based alternative to some accustomed flavours... once.
S. N.
Hands down, easily the best vegan pizza I’ve ever eaten. A beautiful restaurant tucked away just a five minute walk from the Palace Pier with friendly staff and excellent food. Please give it a go!
R. G.
Amazing staff so friendly and helped us work our way round the menu.
A. A.
Hats off to a brave concept that would have you shot for in Italy. Very clever menu, fantastic food and great ambience. One star less for low staffing levels and therefore speed of service. Get more help in guys as demand for your goods was huge so turnaround of tables means dosh.
S. G.
Great pizza place with a good atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit for any pizza lover and there is an added bonus that it's 100% vegan. The dough is delicious, and quite sweet and they have a great selection of pizzas and sides. It can get busy and I don't believe you can book so you might expect a short wait on the weekends but it'll be worth it. Also worth noting that they don't take cash - like I said, 100% vegan!
P. B. (.
Vegan food doesn't have to be borng, a trip to Purezza might open your eyes and give you a complete new outlook regarding vegan Pizza .
I do have one complaint 😭they often have a special that has an expiry date. But I always enjoy and want it back. My first was the beetroot pizza with bbq sauce and now the seaspiracy one. If you get a chance try it .
P. R.
As a vegan I was very excited to finally try Purezza. It really was delicious and I’d give it a solid 4 stars. I think that Yamino is a better pizzeria though, more fresh and delicious ingredients. Service was also a little slow despite not being too busy.
H. A.
Best vegan pizza, great place, nice people.
L.
We especially loved the pizza and the salted caramel brownie. Staff was super nice too. Be smart and book ahead, though. Otherwise, you might struggle to get a table.
A. A.
the waitress was so nice and helped us with our order :) the pizza was a solid 10/10 🥰
R. X.
First time here whilst visiting from London with a friend, and had a lovely time! Despite not being vegans, we did enjoy the food, and the kind friendly service of the staff even moreso! Can recommend the calzone, and garlic dip :) Thanks Sophie and Team!
Н. М.
Very tasty gluten free pizza and cheesecake🙂 Very cozy place, nice staff.
L. H.
The best pizza ever whether you're vegan or not
A. R.
I’m very a sceptic and not usually keep for vegan or vegetarian food. Still, I can not undoubtedly say that even though the pizza was not made with traditional ingredients, the result is fantastic!
Congratulations ☺️
Furthermore, my partner and I had a good time, mostly thanks to the advice of a Portuguese waiter.
Hope to find something similar in London ❤️
A. C.
Food is delicious, probably one of the best vegan pizzas I ever had. Highly recommend. Staff very friendly.
V. D.
I wish that was a 6 star option! This is our special place we go for birthdays, anniversaries and events!
Absolutely amazing food! Really nice staff!
Never disappointed!
s. H.
Very nice vegan pizza, brought back some brilliant memories of a truffle pizza I once had with my sister in Courchevel!! Wow that was a good skiing trip! I digress.
If you ain't ate here your missing out!!!
J. R.
Always go back to this place for vegan pizza. I've tried others around brighton but these are so much more flavourful and the pizza base is really good including the gluten free one. The one with pesto and the truffle are definitely worth a try.
S. C.
As an Italian person on a plant-based diet, I was so happy to find this place. Absolutely amazing pizza, and lovely service!
J. V. (. G. V.
Always love it here, pizzas are next level for vegan option! I have a soft spot for the chocolate Oreo/chocolate nut pizza!
L. C.
Great atmosphere. Great attentive staff. Great food. My new favourite place. Mac and cheese to die for....pesto and hummus dips amazing and the fresh garlic bread....❤
G. H.
Omfg amazing food. Staff and ambience.. Love it
K. G.
fantastic so tasty amazing cheese. Highly recommend for vegans and my non vegan partner loved it to.
J. f.
Brilliant food, I do feel the restaurant is a bit casual though compared to the other purezza in the area. I also feel like if the tip is discretionary it shouldn't automatically be added to the bill. It makes for an awkward conversation when asking for it to be removed
T.
Delicious pizza, couldn't believe it was vegan. Definitely coming back. As well as pizza we got the spiral zucchini pesto which was really good. We tried the vegan cheese board at the end, which was disappointing and a bit vinegary. Good atmosphere and friendly helpful staff made up for it.
C. A.
Absolutely brilliant pizza. All plant based. Wanted to try the whole menu! Team were very friendly & helpful. Worth booking ahead as it’s very popular! Glad they’re open other restaurant in Bristol & Hove. Very tasty vegan brownie too. I highly recommended this place.
J. C.
Amazing selection of plant based pizzas. Its been a long time since I have been this spoilt for choice.
Highly recommend to any fan of pizza.
Staff and food both brilliant. Thank you!
P. H.
The best vegan pizza out there. If you're visiting Brighton, this place is one of the top places to grab a bite to eat whilst there. The pizzas are incredible!
E. D.
Fully Vegan Purezza was perfect for two of us. We ordered two pizza's and they tasted really delicious! So on the way out we decided to take extra pizza home. One of the best vegan pizza's we've tried! Tasted even better than in Italy. Don't need to go to Italy! Even though we prefer healthier food, but I would highly recommend to give it a try. Loved it honestly.
D. H.
Expensive but worth the trip. The dough is some of the best I've had - vegan or not. The cheese is great for vegan cheese
The actual pizza is pretty good. Get the doughballs.
If you go between 4-5pm you get a free garlic bread/beer/ wine. Just tell them you're there for happy hour.
For a vegan 10/10, for someone who isn't vegan it's still pretty great I would think
P. F.
Banging vegan pizzas and I think that chocolate pizza dessert is as close to heaven as a heathen like me can get. Had the truffle pizza and honestly must be top 5 pizzas of my life including the drunk cab home ones in the 90s
K. G.
Just amazing. Not only is the food delicious and ALL vegan, the staff are great. Will visit again when I am next in Brighton ❤️💚
A. F.
Not just amazing vegan pizza, but amazing pizza full stop. My meat-eating friends rate it among the best pizzas they've ever eaten. The different vegan cheeses are incredible. The service is friendly and attentive. Cocktails are a new(ish) addition.
G. B.
Cannot rate this place high enough! They were kind enough to deliver a load of free pizzas to us for being key workers, but that aside the pizza was amazing. I'm highly suspicious of vegan cheese usually but this tasted amazing, you do not need to be vegan to appreciate this pizza :)
K. A.
Unfortunately I am not a vegan and I am vegetarian only at home because of my partner, so I could not judge the restaurant. However, I absolutely adore Italian cuisine and I would never go back in this type of restaurant. The hot chocolate was surprisingly nice but the pizza was disappointing for me. I am used to Quorn products and other vegetarian food but I was not happy with what I had on my pizza.
The place is small and noisy. It's probably perfect for lots of people but I prefer to be able to socialize when I am out. There it was difficult to hear my friend talking.
C. F.
I was really impressed with the food here. I'm a non-vegan and had the pesto pizza; it was really tasty. The service was good, and very friendly.
The restaurant was very busy when we visited and I think we were lucky to be seated. I recommend booking in advance, particularly if want to come with a group and/or at peak time.
C. L.
Great potato pizza...but the sides are way overpriced for the portions and quality.
Dough balls were very poor and bland and not what you would expect for such a high priced side. Drinks also well overpriced fair enough have some fancy IPAs on the menu but get some reasonable priced beer on there.
M. V.
This is a vegan restaurant that proves that began can be tasty. There pizzas are among the best we ever ate.
D. S.
Fantastic, creative menu with pizzas you'll never have seen before. Everything I've tried here has been amazing. If you're into dessert, the menu here has been made with love.
The staff deserve a mention because the place can get busy and they manage this very well. They're very down to earth and you always feel looked after. This is one of my favourite eateries in Brighton so if you want a nice but casual meal, don't miss it
T. S.
Great to not to have to cherry pic from a menu to get a vegan meal. My daughter loved that she could taste all of ours as everything was vegan.
n.
I usually don’t give ratings but this pizza is really amazing, the best I have tried in Brighton & Hove and I have tried many! Despite being vegan it has nothing to envy to a classic pizza. This is extremely tasty, I believe the secret is in the dough and this is a masterpiece. I ordered a gluten free truffle and my partner a regular base Margherita. It is rare to have a pizza and not feeling heavy and bloated afterwards but we felt satiated and as light as a feather. Well done to the pizzaiolo. Definitely will order again soon.
W. B.
Best Pizza I've ever had plus it was all plant based ingredients really great.
M. M.
Best vegan pizza ever!! I’ve been there plenty of times and food is always amazing.
Even if you aren’t vegan is a MUST GO :)
My faves are... Here comes truffle & Parmigiano party. Loved the cheesecake too. Friendly waiters and good atmosphere.
D. M.
Took my sceptical parents here (one of them not a pizza fan, the other about plant-based). Both loved it, so that tells you everything. Really friendly staff, managed to both secure us a table at a busy time and then move us to a better table before the food arrived. Top notch vegan food, shows us what the future will be.
S. F.
The pizza was amazing! Got the margarita and parmagiana party. The sausage on the party pizza was great and really like their mozzarella. Margarita pizza only had one basil leaf which was weird because normally that's a main ingredient. Their pesto sauce is also fantastic.
Service was pretty slow but kind.
Nice setting, comfy seats, and good location for people watching.
J. M.
Amazing delicious food. The service was fantastic and the pizza was to die for. So glad to have finally found a fully vegan pizza restaurant. Highly recommend this place to any pizza lover. I brought two of my friends who eat meat and they could not believe how great the food was too.
S. H.
Absolutely amazing. I did vegan january and found many places/plates that were very good but this place wins by a country mile. The pizza I had was not only the best vegan pizza I have ever had but one of the best pizzas in general (I lived in italy for years and my family still lives near Rome so I had my fair share of great pizza). Please take your meat eating friends to show them what is possible!
R. E.
Friendly, clean and with excellent food. Really enjoyed our lunch. Being dog friendly is another plus .
A. L.
Best pizza I have ever had and it happens to be Vegan! The service is great and the staff are friendly. The dough balls are devine and are filled with delicious vegan gooey cheese. If you love pizza go to Purezza.
S. J.
Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, the service quick, friendly and smooth. Brilliant range of pizzas and calzone & very generous portions-my daughter and I shared a pizza and were both totally full after! I usually avoid vegan cheese as find it horrible, but whatever they use is really good. Already looking for an excuse to go back again!
O. H.
I went on a quiet lunchtime. Service was good but the place was empty. It was explained to me that they were a 'plant based restaurant' but obviously not clearly enough (and I clearly didn't read the menu carefully enough) the cheese is referred to in the menu as mozzarella, but it is a vegan version. I have to say I didn't find it particularly nice. The base was amazing but overall there are plenty of places which serve pizzas which I feel taste better (albeit not vegan)
D. G.
Absolutely delicious vegan pizza. I have a really restricted diet and they helped me find something that I could not only safely eat but that I could also enjoy. Very friendly staff. My only criticism is that the drinks are too expensive.
G. R.
Awesome place for Vegan pizza. Service is good, food is great. Cocktails are ... interesting! (and also very good) get there early or join a wait list. You can't book ahead. Definitely worth the wait though.
C. B.
Wow what a find. Visiting Brighton for the first time. Being gluten dairy free and vegetarian isn’t always easy to find tasty natural food. This ticked every box
Gluten free pizza - yes pizza with butternut squash sauce mushroom crumbled vegan sausage red cabbage and mozzarella - such a friendly quick service too. Highly recommended 😍
W.
Best plant based pizza in Brighton and Hove. BUT the absolute worst service, truly pathetic. We ordered a starter, 2 pizzas and 2 drinks. The pizzas came first followed by the starter then drinks. Starter sent back as we were already eating. Drinks should come first and fast. Starters, the clue is in the name. Hope that the new restaurant in Hove has a manager who understands resturant service!
A.
My partner always calls me a salad dodger, so I thought I would take her to a really nice vegan place to show her I know good vegan food.
Came in for lunch and the accomodating staff were able to give us a seat without a reservation.
One of the other customers at the door recommend hemp based pizzas. Had ginger kombucha, hemp based pizza with mushrooms, sundried tomato, and some sort of BBQ flavouring (can't remember the name of the pizza though), with air fried fries, and courghetti spaghetti.
The pizza was delicious, would definitely recommend this to other people! The courghetti was good, had a pesto taste, and the air fried fries were just to my liking!
Price was pretty good and it's early to get to as it's just a short walk from the pavilion.
L.
One of the best vegan pizzas ❤️interessting combinations, highly recommended!
N. E.
The pizza here were amazing. I'm not vegan, we were looking for gluten free options for my wife and daughter. We all really enjoyed them. The flavors and crust were so good. Great service.
E.
Purezza makes the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life. The Startini cocktail is also epic as is the mac n' cheese. I cannot rate this place enough. Just as good as the Camden branch for those who have been in London. My only, and very slight complaint would be that the music was awful but then it's not loud enough to be a big issue.
T. K.
Fantastic vegan establishment. Doing wonders for plant based diets, not to mention the simple greatness of delicious pizza. Will absolutely be going back, and to the Camden location in London. The spicy pizza packs a punch, and the pesto makes a really good dipping sauce for the crust.
V. J.
The best pizza I think I have ever had in my life. Everything we had was delicious! We had appetizers, pizza, salad, hot chocolate, and croissants. It was all very delicious and made of perfection! The location was about a 10 minute walk from the beach, with excellent service. I would go back everyday if I lived a little closer. I strongly recommend trying this place when in the area! This place can get busy, so plan accordingly.
h. B.
Really liked this place. The pizza bases are so light and chewy, you could pretty much eat them on their own. I had mine topped with potato, basil and pea pancetta. Very very nice. If you want to try vegan this is a great place to start.
M. W.
Amazing menu. Dogs welcome too. Very highly recommended
S. I.
What an amazing, truly VEGAN restaurant. I ordered a Margherita with smoked tofu and the food was incredible. The best pizza I have had in a very long time. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great vibe. Staff are very personable with excellent communication. I will be visiting the Camden branch next too! So happy to have found out about Purezza ❣️
M. C.
Really amazing little vegan pizza place.
Food was excellent. The pizza base was so authentic, the toppings tasty, but best of all were the dough balls! Everyone should come here just for these.
G. C.
Managed to squeeze us in on an extremely busy day. Accommodating our group with a child. Brighton has some amazing pizza restaurants so the bar was set very high but I can safely say some of the best Vegan food I've come across!
R. S.
Couldn't book a table as it was busy but the staff accommodated us with minimum fuss.
Food very good. I had the big smokey which was tasty and had all the gungy toppings one would hope for in a burger. The chickpea pizzas were delicious too as was the brownie for pud.
It's great to be able to eat anything from the plentiful choice menu.
Really impressed to see raw food options too.
Looking forward to our next visit!
K. H.
D. J.
As someone who's a massive meat eater I was dubious about eating at a vegan restaurant, however I'm illergic to rennet so I've never eaten a pizza so this was an opportunity to have one for the first time!!! Admittedly I have nothing to compair it to but I LOVED my first pizza and the 3 people I was with (all meat eaters not vegans) loved them too. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back there again!
R. M.
Tasty vegan pizzas; definitely the best we've tried.
J. C.
It's great food, cooked and served perfectly. We visited whilst staying in Brighton and were not disappointed. Mac and cheese was surprisingly great - I'd recommend trying it. Only criticism, is it still a pizza of it doesn't have some form of cheese? Either way we'll be back next time we're on town.
R. C.
Amazing food - cheese platter was unreal (best and closest thing to real cheese I've had since going vegan 5 years ago), pizza was mouth-watering and had our omni friends convinced, even the crust was delicious especially dipped in the garlic mayo. Prices were reasonable and service was speedy. Vegan or not, don't miss this place if you're ever in Brighton.
M. B.
I love Purezza. The new referb is great. The atmosphere is way more relaxing and the new pizza oven is so cool. The staff are always very nice and helpful. The pizza is out of this world. Really! If you are a herbivore or omnivore you will enjoy this food. I've been with friends and family. My 5 year old loves it there too. We are so lucky to have such a fab pizzeria in our city! Don't miss out!
M. C.
Never had a fully vegan pizza before - didn't know they could be so good! Also, the staff were wonderfully friendly and courteous. The two pizza chefs were particularly funny too.
K.
Amazing plant based pizza joint...... Favorite pizza by far 👌👍👍
y. p.
Excellent service, we went into the restaurant but there wasn't any table available. They asked for our phone number and called as soon as a table was available. Very convenient. The food was great as well, a nice change from the vegan pizza at Domino's. I liked how everything on the menu was vegan, it saves a lot of time
J. G.
Wow. Amazing sourdough pizza options, and fantastic table service. A lively atmosphere, good for groups and romantic couples, and even has a kids menu filled with high quality meals.
I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Brighton, and with such a choice of foods to pick from, I'll have many more visits before I've seen and tried it all!
Z. C.
Amazing restaurant - went last night and had a really lovely time. The pizza was honestly one of the nicest pizzas I've ever eaten, and for it all to be vegan is a huge bonus. Please go check this place out - you won't be disappointed. Make sure you get there early though as you can't book a table and the queues were starting to build up when we left at 7:30. Also this place is cashless, so they only accept card.
E. G.
Doesn't taste like non vegan pizza. It's very much its own thing. It's not bad and I love what it stands for, but I wouldn't eat it again
I. B.
Great selection of vegan pizzas. Tasted amazing. Options wholegrain (sourdough), hemp and gluten free bases. First come, first serve basis - does get busy quickly in evenings.
O. K.
My first ever vegan meal.as a confirmed carnivore, I didnt know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.
Delicious. Freshly cooked. Amazing favours and textures. Lovely service and a good price.
Ill be back!!
S. B.
Wanted to come here for ages so was excited to finally be in Brighton for dinner. We had to wait but they offered to ring us when a table was coming up so we went exploring whilst we waited.
The food was AMAZING. The kids pizzas were perfect in size and also free!
My son managed to knock over his glass of green juice and make quite a mess. The staff were lovely about it and reassuring.
Will come here again no hesitation

Best vegan pizza hands down and one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We got it to takeway and sat on the beach, food was ready at the exact time I requested.
D. G.
The waiting staff (specifically the lady with short hair) were very impressive and attentive. We were a large group that changed plans a couple of times due to long distance journey on the night and they were extremely accommodating, despite how annoying we must have been! We had no idea this place was vegan and some of the team didn't even realise until the following day when it was explained to them! Amazing individual pizzas that were handmade and cooked to order with meat substitutes and spicy options - nobody was vegan/vegetarian in our group of 10 and we all loved it.
M. W.
Excellent food and service, a great package. We shared three different meals. Both the pizza base and topping were exceptional, the Mac & Cheese had a wonderful flavour and the Vista bowl was fresh and full of a mixture of tasteful experiences. Brighton has a good number of Vegan eateries, but I would rate Purezza very high on the list of must does.
D.
Absolutely delicious pizza and generous portions! Highly recommended for a wonderful dining experience and nice staff.
S. E.
Having been disappointed by vegan pizza in the past , I was a bit skeptical. I needn't have been - it really was one of the best pizzas (vegan or non vegan) I've ever had. Base was delicious and crispy but OMG, the toppings. How do they get these smoky, cheesy, unami flavours? The pizzas here taste too good to be true....
E. Z.
Finally, Vegan pizza that doesn't suck.
Unbelievable. It's just delicious pizza - end of.
H. K.
This is a great vegan Italian restaurant. The fake cheeses are delicious, and they go all out on flavours. The vegan Nutella pizza is a great sharer dessert.
Even if you're not vegan you'll enjoy the food here.
M. C.
Very tasty pizza, friendly staff
T. P.
Excellent freshly made food with well-crafted dishes and high quality ingredients. Good range of choices with new dishes added periodically. Drinks are great too.
The staff are extremely friendly and the ambience and decor is great. Fantastic to have such a good vegan place, which is certain to please any diet. Also good value for money! I genuinely don't work here, it's just really good!
G. L.
Good food. Vegan. Water is free. Berr expensive 7 $ 0,333. 😂
J. C.
This place is amazing whether you're vegan or not! A great selection of pizzas on a variety of bases as well as a choice of other mains including Lasagne. Great starters and delicious desserts too which mean that this place should be on your list of places to visit while in Brighton. Or phone for a takeout at least! Plus, they make their own vegan cheese with a secret ingredient (they would definitely not tell me) and I would say it was the best vegan cheese I have ever had! Oh, and staff are super friendly too. Go now!!!
R. L.
Extremely busy restaurant during peak periods, customers being told a wait of up to an hour for a table, so shows just how good this place is!
My partner, two daughters and I dined here for under £50 (two mains, sides, drinks, kids meals and dessert). The quality of the food was amazing!
Im not vegan nor vegetarian and thought the food was unbelievable, definitely worth trying when in Brighton.
Drop the reviewer a like to show your support 😁
M. B.
Quite honestly the best pizza I've ever had in my life.
J. L.
I was dragged her by my vegan partner and was reluctant as a meat eater to go. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by my dish of a cheese steak calzone. The cheese for a substitute is the first I have had to actually taste of cheese without an odd tangy aftertaste and there was a lot of it. I thoroughly enjoyed the menu and will be once again dragged back by my partner less reluctantly a second time :)
I. b.
Everything except the vegan cheese tasted good. The pizza dough was nice and the salted-caramel-brownie gelato was delicious.
Service was unorganized though. We had to ask for our ordered drinks twice and didn‘t get any water at all.
My Mum had a cocktail which wasn‘t stirred, so all the syrup stayed at the bottom.
D. C.
Me and my partner heard of this place via the grape vine. Definitely lived up to its expectation and even excelled it! The first time we went here we were welcomed by Anta. She answered all our queries about the menu. The décor of the restaurant has a warm welcoming feel to it and you can see the chefs cooking. The pizzas are amazing, cooked to perfection, would decently recommend. One of my favourite vegan restaurants within Brighton. I will defiantly be back.
J. M.
hands down the best vegan pizza i've had and probably the best pizza overall. 6 for taste, 4 for price and 4 for service. there's nothing better than going to a restaurant and knowing you can happily eat everything on the menu.. but anyway i had the pesto manifesto which was brilliant and my dad the special (can't recall) but it was really nice too. the "cheese" was awesome, not stringy like mozzarella, but also not just like cream cheese and the taste was absolutely amazing with the tangyness of real cheese and the bases (both the sourdough and hemp) were perfect. price was a little expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for and more. service was great and friendly, we hadn't booked on a saturday night and they arranged a table for us pretty quickly.
K. T.
Despite discussing with the waitress that i needed gluten free and swapping out one of the toppings for a gluten free one, she didn't note that I needed a gluten free base. Luckily I realised one bite in and spat it out and asked the chef. He quickly made me a fresh one and the base was pretty good and they were very apologetic, however, if you're celiac I just don't think you could eat here. I was sitting next to the kitchen and the risk of cross contamination was huge. Lovely vegan cheese though and having nightshade free pizza was a bonus.
K. S.
Amazing food and excellent customer service!!
S.
Friendly, lovely restaurant. The food though was really disappointing I have to say, reluctantly. If this is vegan cuisine at it’s best then there’s not much hope for conversion en masse. Simply put, vegetables are wonderful, meat is absolutely not required for all meals, if at all. But this mock meat substitution just ends up being a weird, plastic like, odd taste and sensation in your mouth. If your dietary preference is vegan, this is possibly a great choice. If you love experiencing alternative food and exploring non meat options, you could be disappointed.
A. J.
Best vegan pizza I've ever had! Such a wonderful variety of plant-based options. Service was unfortunately a let down as our order was forgotten/delayed at multiple stages.
V. F.
When we arrived there being very hungry, the waitress told us it was a vegan only pizzeria and I was a bit skeptic about the vegan dishes. It turned out too be very delicious and you could barely tell the difference between a vegan and non-vegan. Recommended.
J. S.
My first time eating vegan pizza and it will be hard to beat. Delicious pizza and delicious dough balls. The dough was so light – I think it was probably the best I've ever tasted!
H. B.
Totally delicious and worth every penny. We particularly loved the stuffed crust pizza. The pizza with bbq sauce was a bit too sweet for us but the pizza with mushrooms was incredible and theres plenty more options to try. They also sell all sorts of vegan croissants and other sweet treats, they looked delicious but we were too full to try. The restaurant is nicely decorated and upmarket unlike many vegan restaurants- you wont find swirly wall art, whale music and the smell of incense sticks here. We will definitely be returning!
V. M.
Amazing place. They have a lot of great choices vegan, gluten free, soya free, nut free... I ate an amazing pizza with pesto. The best I have ever had. Our waiter and the manager were very nice, helpful. The only problem is that they are only in Brighton and Camden (London) and I live in Hertfordshire 😔😔😔
R. S.
We ordered via deliveroo as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Delivered in about half an hour from ordering but pizzas were cold.
I really wanted to love these but although the toppings tasted wonderful the bottom of the pizzas were literally charcoal. It was flaking off in places but mainly inedible unless you like carcinogenic food. Would we have got this in the restaurant itself or was it sent out as we weren’t there to send it back...such a shame as it would’ve been lovely otherwise.
C. S.
Probably my favourite restaurant in the world. I have never been disappointed by the food, it has always exeeded expectations despite the fact I go multiple times per week! The staff are fantastic, very approachable and I get on well with them all. Of course not to mention the fact they are 100% vegan, which is not only fantastic for us vegans but also a great and affordable option for non-vegans to be part of the future.
Much love Purezza.
T. O.
This was my first visit to Purezza, and not being a vegan myself (it was my friend's birthday who is) I was interested to see what their cheese is like, as the few vegan cheeses I have had in the past have not been overly tasty.
My concerns were soon quelled when I started with their dough balls filled with 'Mozzarella', they were absolutely delicious, both the cheese and the dough itself. If you do go for these though honestly give them a long time to cool down because they are hotter than the lava out of vesuvius when they first arrive!
For my main I had a pizza with the same cheese and did slightly regret that after having a taste of the 'chedder' on my partners. In my opinion the 'chedder' is a lot tastier on the pizza (but that's just my opinion - the 'Mozzarella' was no unpleasant).
They have a great selection on drinks, including GF options and all the pizzas offer GF options too.
The service was absolutely second to none, with all the staff being super helpful and just generally nice!
Overall, I would say if you're a vegan then this has to be on your list of places to go, and if you're not then seriously consider a visit to learn how delicious cheese can be without milk (crazy I know!)
P. C.
Best vegan meat I ever tasted 👍
A. K.
As an omnivore, who had steak for lunch, I was somewhat skeptical to dine here with my vegan wife. My goodness - the food is out of this world! I had the vulcano pizza and honestly couldn't tell that this was a vegan pizza. Definitely coming here again! The pizza dough and the garlic bread with their signature 'cheese' is definitely worth a try!
J. U.
Was great. Didn't realize it was a vegan cafe but that didn't stop us enjoying a really nice coffee and coconut sugar. Great service too!
I. R. B.
Best vegan pizza!! Had a lovely evening here for my birthday. Purezza is a really cosy little restaurant with a great menu. Staff were so friendly and our waitress Ciara was wonderful and very helpful. Only downside is, I didn’t have room for dessert..so will definitely be revisiting!
p. l.
Best pizza I've ever had. And it's dog friendly.
v. c.
Delicious food. We had a pesto salad and a vulcano pizza, both were very tasty. Good value too. There was nice beer and cider options too. The desserts are expensive so we didn't try. Is casual and relaxed place to eat. Food is all meat and dairy free.
I. D.
Very pleased with a gluten free pizza I had here!!! It was amazing, definitely coming back for another one!!!
Also, through my delivery, they didn't had one sauce I ordered, so they added few different extras, that was super sweet!
I. Q.
Really good vegan restaurant. I love the fact that they are cashless, which shows real commitment with sustainability. Food was really good, tasty and the environment of the place was very chill. It is a small restaurant, but I think that makes it even better. I hope to go back soon!!!
J. S.
It was really hard to decide how to review Purezza. The food was faultless. I went a part of a group of four, each trying something different and everything was delicious! The atmosphere was nice and the decor worked perfectly with the menu.
Unfortunately the service did not stand up to the foods high standards. One of our group didn't have her meal ordered correctly by our server, leaving her waiting until the rest of the group had finished their meal before her food arrived. The server then gave us some complimentary olives while we waited but took the unfinished food away as soon as the forgotten meal was ready. During this time we didn't receive a single apology. Throughout the meal the only server on duty spent more time talking to her friends who kept coming in and out of the restaurant and draped over someone who was eating at the bar.
The food was incredible and I would recommend visiting Purezza for that alone, unfortunately the service ruined the experience of visiting somewhere I had been very much looking forward to trying.
s. g.
Best Vegan Cheese I have ever tasted.
Really friendly service , cosy atmosphere
F.
Absolutely fantastic! This amazing little place is just around the corner for my partner and I and has quickly become a weekly outting. The pizza is unbelievable and completely guilt free. Highly recommend their gluten free base and brownies.
H. J.
I'm not a vegan and didn't completely realise the whole pizza was vegan until afterwards. Which I guess is a good thing! The dough of the pizza was the tastiest I've had and the flavour combo on the pizza was so delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
M. G.
Went here on a weekend trip, tried a variety of restaurants and foods in Brighton happily expecting some great foods. I was not disappointed..The vegan pizza was the best pizza I ever had!
The use all the right ingredients and the service delicious drinks , I’m loving it!
O. J.
This pizza changed my life. I am not a vegan nor a pizza lover but my view of both was transformed when I visited last month. Every time I have visitors I bring them here (get the hummus dip). Shout out to Prin who is the most incredible waitress too!
J. M.
As a coeliac who also happens to be vegetarian I'm used to having only one option when dining out: the ubiquitous jacket potato. Imagine my delight when entering Purezza's in Brighton and discovering that almost everything on the menu could be made gluten-free! I was spoilt for choice and eventually opted for the macaroni cheese and garlic bread. They were delicious! My two carnivorous friends each had a vegan pizza, which they enjoyed and we all agreed that it was our best dining experience to date. The food was great, the staff helpful and friendly and the restaurant spacious and uncluttered. A nice touch was the dogs' water bowl outside!
K. R.
One of the best pizza places I've been! So happy this is only a short walk from the beach and not far from the lanes. Came to Brighton pretty much just to come here and was not disappointed! The 'here comes truffle' was amazing and also try to purezza spritz cocktail, that was yummy! Wish we had room for pudding because the chocolate pizza looked lovely too. Staff were very accomodating as well. Will be back soon!
K. H.
Actually changed my life.
Arriving to a place where there were only two items on the menu that I couldnt eat was the honest to god most revealing thing in the world I've been dairy and gluten intolerant for almost a year and usually dread going out to restaurants, aniexty usually gets the better of me.
This little gem has an 80% gluten free menu, and is completely Vegan so no messing about with allergen menus to work out what I can eat.
Food was outstanding and the wine was delicious. Cant wait to visit again!
M. C.
The best vegan pizza hands down.
S. W.
Absolutely loved it.
Great staff speaking a whole host of languages so made us feel very comfortable
Fantastic food. Its fully vegan and card only.
I seriously recommend you visit here if you're in Brighton
S.
My new favourite restaurant! Very friendly staff, great location (5 minutes from Palace Pier). Small space so book ahead or wait for a table. Food is sooo good, WHOLE menu is vegan. A standout gem in UKs most vegan friendly town. Highly recommended 🕺🏿.
G. T.
Amazing food and better customer service. Completely recommend.
Many thanks!!
A. K.
best pizza in Brighton! The best I've had, vegan or not! Every pizza I've had there is just so good. I absolutely love their mac and cheese too
l. s.
Ordered as take away, and i was very impressed not only by the pizza base but mostly by the quality of the toppings, fresh and tasty. We did ordered the most unusual toppings combination (Fumosa, Vulcano) and with surprise all worked really well, all the ingredients married so well together, definitely will return and recommend the place
K. S.
So delicious! Yummy vegan pizza. Trendy neo hipster vegan type place. Very reasonable price considering location in central Brighton and specialist products. Although unimpressed that gluten free costs more, as for some it is not just a fashionable lifestyle choice but a necessary dietary requirement, which I feel no one should pay more for.
Also for takeout plastic cutlery was provided which isn't very eco or fitting with this place. Consider compostable plastic or wooden cutlery.
Overall though, pleasant experience.
E. N.
Without question one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Done the Click and collect and it was quick and on time.
Tasted incredible. Will definitely be back!
w. s.
vibrant and busy. lovely friendly staff. the most awesome vegan pizza. the cheese rocks. best of all is the raw pizza. dare you go try it ! xed and i will be returning for more.
F. G.
Cozy place, friendly staff and delicious food even for not vegetarians
J. H.
Best vegan pizza. As a vegan for only a few months so far, this is by far the best pizza, vegan or not. Made with love, good ingredients, and thought. Would recommend to anyone, vegan or not! 🍕
C. F.
Nice. Okay. Had tried to book here a few times and always booked out. Good atmosphere but pizzas were sadly lacking a bit for me. Sorry
N.
A lactose intollerant's dream! The Pizza and sides were as good as the real thing! There was so much on the menu we wanted to try so went two days in a row. To top it all off, the vegan tiramisu was out of this world. Can not recommend enough!
I. H.
This restaurant was such a delight to stumble across while looking on the Happy Cow app, upon visiting we were even more impressed by the friendly staff, great selection and fair prices! We had a garlic bread with cheese and the dips offered as well as a Vulcano pizza and were extremely impressed with both of them! We also shared an elderflower and basil G&T and an almond bailey's latté. I highly recommend this restaurant not just to people who eat on a plant based diet but for people who appreciate food - and the planet - in general! We look forward to visiting again soon!
A. B.
Best vegan pizza ever and great staff!
A. D.
Staff were lovely and the food was pretty good, however, the main discovery from the visit was you absolutely can't make cheese or anything that even closely resembles it from plants. The "mac and cheese" was just weird. Pizzas good though.
D. F.
I wanted to try this place for ages. The service for a take away pizza was fast and friendly despite that they were busy and the server took the time to give me a lot of information about their cheeses as I was apprehensive (not being a vegan).
To be honest, I didn't like my pizza because of the cheese in the end as I felt it didn't really taste of cheese and the texture wasn't very nice, but it was very well made and nicely presented so I couldn't mark the place down for my own preference.
Update:
Went again and had a sit down meal last night. It was nearly full but there was some space at the 'bar'. Despite being rammed the service was still fast and attentive.
The pizza was absolutely great, I forgot which one it was we had but I'd happily eat 3! Yum!
I. A.
Most delicious vegan pizza I've had! Definitely go if you can. Great variety and everyone would love it here. Nice atmosphere too
S. P.
My daughter and me travelled to Brighton for a vegan eating marathon and purezza was our last destination. We both had a pizza and Coleslaw and felt it was one of the best pizza we had in a while. The service was amazing too, really friendly like-minded people who care. Will soon come again!
J. M.
Vegan and alternative with things like hemp pizza base. Mixed bathrooms. The waiter was polite. They have Moreti beer too. The calzone was reeaaally good! All seem fresh quality ingredients. The food delivery was fast
M. V.
Really good pizza!! The vegan cheese is amazing and it doesn’t have that weird taste of coconut or others that vegan cheese normally have. Definitely will go again!!
K. H.
Fantastic food, yet again Purezza has super our expectations, with the new items on their menu being every bit as good as our regular favourites, and as for the staff, well they are just brilliant, friendly and helpful.
Can't recommend this place highly enough! JUST BRILLIANT! OH AND VEGAN AS WELL
#bestveganpizza #greatservess
B. B.
Loved it. Had no idea it was vegan until inside. Was just looking for a place to lunch. Great food, friendly staff pizza tasted better then no vegan pizza. I'm in no way a vegan but would opt for this place any day
M. H.
The food was good and it was clean and tidy. There is not a great deal of space and no cloakroom or hangers. It took nearly 20 minutes for the waitress to get to me during the lunchtime rush but my pizza came swiftly afterwards. Hipster prices but they accept credit cards. Toilet is downstairs and there is no way a wheelchair can get to it. I would love to give 3.5 stars as the food is good and the menu is well described with gluten, soya and nut intolerance catered for. I can't give a 4 in good conscience though. The pizza was not spicy enough for my tastes but some usage of condiments sorted this out.
s.
Purezza is the UK's first plant based pizzeria, showcasing a range of vegan sourdough pizzas, gluten free food, salad bowls, raw dishes, pasta and desserts.
I found out about Purezza on TV because they were the only restaurant to show how they make their vegan cheese while other restaurants keep it top secret.
Their cheese is made from rice milk.
When I got there, we were greeted by a member of staff who asked if it was our first time there as payment is by CARD only.
On the menu, there was mac and cheese, cheese platter as well as their signature pizzas on sourdough, Hemp flour base or gluten free.
As it was Christmas, there was a special menu with Pizza and Calzone.
Initially, I was going to order the cheese board which was cashew based cheese so that I could compare it with this other place I tried.
In the end, we chose the Festive pizza, Lasagna and the Mac and Cheese.
The first dish that came was the Mac and Cheese which was penne pasta in a cheesy sauce that was light topped with some crispy stuff which I didn't really like.
The Festive pizza was butternut squash sauce, mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, crumbled sausage and crunchy red cabbage.
It was stunning when it came especially the red cabbage.
The pizza was just as good as anticipated because the pizza base was soft and fluffy like naan you get in Hong Kong while the mozzarella was light and dreamy.
The only thing I didn't like was the butternut squash sauce which was sweet.
Last but not least was the Lasagna which was creamy bechamel style cheese and a tasty ragu mince.
Unfortunately, there was a strong taste of rosemary in it which we didn't quite agree with.
If it was basil, we might have liked it better.
D. H.
Delicious vegan pizza. Even more delicious vegan cheese bites. Nice staff, good atmosphere, great cocktails. Great range of food, as well as a specials board. Will definitely be back!
D. H.
Please pizza I ever ever had. The fact that that it was vegan made it taste even better. Full of flavour
C. C.
Really great food, I'm not a vegan, been here twice and will be coming back to this place, love the food. However, I was less keen on the waitress who couldn't wait to clear our plates while we were still picking and had told her so, and coughed all over us (she did put her hand to her mouth, the hand she then continued serving with) immediately after telling us she had a cold, lose two stars for that in the current climate, she should have been sent home, there's no excuse for spreading your flu virus to customers, which for sure she would have done on that day. I get how much the money is needed when you're in a service job, I have been there myself, and ethically I think there should be measures in place to protect staff from loss of earnings in this kind of situation, I'll leave that can of worms for someone else to put back together. 😂
N. C.
Fantastic vegan pizzas - not what you would expect at all. Really friendly staff and their beetroot humus and vegan pesto is out of this world!! All i would say is the 4 "cheese" pizza is too cheesy for me (who would have thought...)
L. F.
Every time I eat here I love it. The only problem is I enjoy it too much and want to eat more. They always seem to have the perfect blend of herbs. And the price is pretty good too. The journey to the toilet child be nicer but there's not much to work with.
c. S.
Pure bowl was unmissable. The cashew cheese is amazing. DAVID was a star, really kind, informed and prompt friendly service. This place is a must eat in brighton.
k.
Best pizza I've ever had. Shared a Fumosa and Parmigiana party pizza with my friend. Couldn't decide which I loved more. Such a friendly atmosphere, and really quick service. So amazing
C. D.
Considered that was vegan AND gluten free, probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life.
Good choice of food, nice atmosphere, good value for money overall
A. H.
Great selection. Amazing pizzas. All vegan
V. B. L.
My fav pizza place in Brighton. The food is always great and everything is safe for vegans as it’s all plant based. The cheesy garlic bread, cheesy bites and tiramisu are a must! Great staff who are always lovely too. Will always be a regular here.
B. F.
Just amazing. I went with 2 omnivore family members and a Japanese exchange student, somewhat apprehensive that they might not appreciate vegan cuisine... Couldn't have been more wrong; they loved it and so did I. The restaurant was clean, nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and the food was delicious. 100% would recommend!!
I.
Incredible pizza, dough is dreamy - better than other popular sourdough pizza establishments, vegan cheese is legit, subtle and unctuous, prices are reasonable for the quality, couldn't recommend more highly. Non-vegans in our party agreed .
G. V.
Great vegan pizzeria! Italian style pizza with a modern twist. Absolutely love it.
C. S. G.
While spending the weekend in Brighton we were craving for some vegan pizza. The city is amazingly vegan-friendly but we decided to come here and absolutely no regrets. It was saturday evening and most of the tables were reserved but there was one free for the two of us. We ordered a bbq tofu and seitan salami pizza that was awesome but the quattri formaggi was absolutely incredible. We didn't have room in our stomachs for anything else but there were also starters and desserts.
Reasonable prices and very friendly staff.
S. C. D.
Overall a nice vegan place to eat in Brighton.
The food is good (the pizza dough is delicious) although I came in a few months ago and found it way better then (change of cook?).
The place is nice but something needs to be done about to toilets next to the kitchen (the smell is pretty bad which is rather off-putting).
C. T.
Absolutely delicious pizza, I shared the Vulcano with cheesy stuffed crust with my partner, we both loved it! Very good prices too. Will definitely be going again to try more!
M. R.
I’m 45 and three quarters and I’ve just eaten the best pizza in my life. Thank you Purezza. Please open a branch in Cambridge - I’ll remortgage my house, take a permanent table reservation and die a happy man.
J. B.
Will def try again. Very tasty dough and vegan cheese was much nicer than others I’ve had. Whole family happy
D. H. (.
Literally the only vegan pizza, with actual nice vegan cheese which is actually a million times better than normal pizza. This place is heaven. Nice cocktails too :)
T. H.
My first experience in an all vegan restaurant. The food was super tasty and the service was really good.
The staff where friendly and approachable, although it was a very busy night so not the quickest but by no means did it make the experience less enjoyable.
Prices are reasonable for how good the food is, too.
A. H.
Really good pizza but as it's vegan cheese, it tends not to hold as well as non-vegan cheese. If you're vegan, this is 5/5. If you are not vegan, then I personally prefer Fatto A Mano. Nonetheless, it was still very tasty.
R. S.
Some of the most delicious food I've eaten this year. The festive special calzone is life changing especially when accompanied by there organic red wine. Friendly polite staff and the place had a great atmosphere. I couldn't of asked for more.
B. D. D.
Not your average pizza! Vegan. Hand built. Different bases. Great combinations of ingredients. Smashing deserts. Nice pastries. Good coffee. Spot on service.
f. f.
Best gluten free vegan pizza ever. They make their own vegan cheese which makes it better than placeslike Firezza and Zizzi which use violife. The service is out of this world. I went on a busy Saturday night during the great escape, the restaurant was full but I was sited almost immediately. I was so impressed that I went the day after to try their gluten free vegan burgers. I had the pea protein burger which comes with yummy Pesto
s. s.
Im not from Brighton but I had lunch here on Sunday evening with my boyfriend and we'll definitely be coming back! Great service and great food. I chose the gluten free options for both my meal and desert, sometimes gf breads/doughs can be chalky and boring but I was pleasantly surprised - 5 stars because there was no option for 10 💛✨
N. C.
The perfect Pizza place. All plant-based, the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. Staff were amazing, went on the night it reopened and there were no issues at all. Perfect, love it, hugely and highly recommend it.
J. v. K.
we are from switzerland and go to purezza everytime we are in brighton. usually for every dinner, its just so fantastic! this week Ana and her colleague took great care of us and we even got „our“ table, where we got engaged last time. such a fantastic place with the best pizza ever!
D. P.
Easily one of my favourite places to eat in brighton. So nice to have a totally vegan italian place. The food is excellent and interesting, and the staff are always really friendly. The only downside I can think of is they don't deliveroo to where I am in hove! But highly recommend.
L. R.
Cute place with amazing vegan and gluten free pizza; charming and attentive staff. Will be back soon.
C. S.
If I had to choose to only have one meal for the rest of my life it would be a pizza from this place! The couch potato is like something from a dream 💜💜
X. H.
We were very excited to try Purezza after finding it online and we were not disappointed! If anything my already high expectations were exceeded as I spent a fair amount of time salivating over the sheer amount of choices to be found on the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and despite the fact that they were extremely busy we were made to feel welcome and relaxed by the staff. The future is plant-based and I want it to taste like Purezza!
O. F.
Absolutely incredible pizza and 100% plant based. So refreshing to be able to order everything off the menu for once. The selection is unparalleled! A new favourite.
T. S.
Came to brighton beech over the weekend in the lovely weather with my girlfriend and we both decided to try out this place. And we both enjoyed ourselves so much the food was great and so was the atmosphere. This is our new summer restaurant! Definitely recommend
S. W.
Typically good but unimpressed with the 'new' pepperoni pizza
I.
The food at this place is incredible. One of the best vegan pizzas I have ever had, and there's a brilliant selection. I'd give the food five stars. Unfortunately I think I'd give the staff about 3 stars. The manager and the waiting staff on the day we arrived were incredibly stressy, despite there being plenty of empty tables. The manager in particular seemed to have trouble being accommodating and polite and had people waiting in the street, insisting on closing the door in their faces. He told a group of 6 to squeeze into a booth clearly meant for 4, and when they couldn't make it work, he made snide comments when they left. The food took a looong time to arrive, and when my partner asked if they did armed forces discount (they do student and NHS so can't hurt to ask) the waitress looked at him like he was dirt and bluntly said 'we offer discount for those listed.' Overall I can't say I'd rush back, but luckily they do deliveroo if you want excellent pizza and none of the super weird social skills.

Really kind staff, got the food after reasonable waiting time. Everything was tasty and lovely. The guy with blue hair was really kind, got the seat what we did ask for, he offered a bit later an other one if it was too hot for us, also brought water and two glasses straight to the table after we sat down. Highly reccomend this place.

Nice vegan pizzas. Good location and quality food. Very friendly staff.

Really nice vegan pizzas here. One thing I would want to be change would be the slice of paper under the pizzas. They're too full of toppings to eat with your hands in slices so the paper gets caught up among your food.

Such amazing pizza. I've never tasted better and the fact that it is vegan just made it such a good experience. Would recommend to anyone

I love that this place is fully plant based! The pizzas are so good and full of delicious flavours

Hands down the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. Totally lived up to the hype. Took a picky vegetarian and he loved it too.

A Vegan paradise in the heart of Brighton. I have made a 'pilgrimage' to Purezza on several occasions on visits to Brighton and have always been hugely impressed with the incredible food on offer. Their pizza rivals the best in the world, Vegan or otherwise. The restaurant has a cosy, intimate ambience and the staff are always warm and welcoming.

After being vegan for 5 years I have to admit to really missing 'proper' pizza. Not anymore! This place is fantastic. Real pizza whether you're vegan or not. It is amazing!

The best vegan pizza I've ever had! Incredible! A must visit for any vegans, the best food I've had in Brighton!

Really tasty food & the staff were all exceptionally friendly & lovely. We were impressed with the kids' free pizzas & the lasagne was really gorgeous. Food was quite slow coming out & one dish arrived very late- this was made up for with a discount & an apology. We found the restaurant to be really hot though, it was packed full of customers & would have benefitted from air con. Would defo eat there again but perhaps not on a busy Saturday lunchtime.

Amazing place... highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t like meat diary and cannot have gluten. :-)

During a nice day out in Brighton, we were hungry and everywhere was busy. Then we stumbled upon this little gem. The service was quick and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. We really enjoyed the fantastic food, we will be returning.

Fantastic food. Service is mehhh. It's always packed for dinner and you can't make reservations. Fantastic dough and ingredients. They make their own plant based cheese and are very celiac friendly. Highly recommended

Lovely vegan food but let down by poor service. Visited this restaurant for lunch on Saturday and naturally it was a busy time.
There were no tables available apart from just two by the window but the sun was burning through the glass directly onto the two tables and there was no blind or shade, so we asked if we could wait until a table became available. The waitress said that was fine and asked us to take a seat by the entrance. Shortly after a second waitress addressed us and we explained we were waiting for a table. She advised us that there were two tables that looked like they were about to pay and leave. A table in the corner at the top nearest the kitchen area then became free and I said to the waitress that we’d like to sit at it and she then got a cloth and began to clean it for us. While we patiently waited for it and while the waitress was gathering clean glasses, cutlery etc, another couple quickly shifted from the bar top style table and sat themselves on the table that we were waiting for. The waitress came back over to me and I pointed out that we had already requested to be seated at that table and had been waiting patiently for it. She didn’t correct the situation by explaining to the other couple that we were already waiting for it and didn’t ask them to move. The waitress then started talking very fast in a very strong Italian sounding accent and I could barely make out what she was saying apart from the word sorry. I felt embarrassed and awkward by the whole situation but we were hungry and decided to wait for the next available table. Eventually (after what seemed forever) we were seated. I appreciate they were busy but we saw a couple that arrived after us that had their order taken before us and were also served before us. The service was slow and the music was too loud and didn’t create a nice atmosphere, it was more like nightclub music. We also had no forks, only knives and I couldn’t catch the waitresses’ eye so I resorted to taking forks from the adjacent table. Luckily the food itself was very nice but the service wasn’t. I didn’t want to tip and I didn’t realise that the service charge had been added on until after I’d paid and left the restaurant. I think the staff should communicate clearly by asking if the customers want to tip or not. At no point was I asked or made aware of this. Just the bill was handed to me and I paid and that was it. Other restaurants have an add gratuity option button. This much fairer and a more discreet way of tipping if you choose to. It shouldn’t be automatically added on!! Such a shame because the food is great but let down by the slow service, poor communication and not enough seating to meet demand. I wouldn’t return here again.

Really hard to choose from the menu as it all sounded so good! I think this is one of those places where no matter what you order you'll be more than happy with what you get. Staff were so friendly, Maisie was happy to recommend somewhere we could go for cocktails afterwards as well as we didn't know the area. We'll be back to try more!

Truly excellent vegan pizza. Generous portions and fair prices. Gender neutral toilets (unfortunately not accessible).
I had the Couch potato and my friend had the cheesus.

Had a great birthday meal with my daughter yesterday. Great little restaurant, great food and great service (thank you David 😊). Will definitely be back but will book next time as very popular and we were lucky to get a table.

Really friendly staff and lovely pizzas! Doesn't matter if you are vegan or not they taste delicious. If you crave vegan pizza or just try something different it's worth going :)

Yummy! Really nice decor/vibe, friendly staff and yummy ALL vegan food 🤗🤗🤗 so nice to have so much choice. Will be visiting again soon. I read a review that it's dog friendly too. Is this true? If so even more awesome.

Pizza is not bad. But honestly the menu is disappointing. What respectable restaurant doesn't have a proper salad on their menu. No fresh vegetables whatsoever... makes the meal disappointing. Fresh juices are nice.

I had the volcano pizza and it was amazing. We had 2 babies with us and the staff were so so nice and helpful. Would defiantly come back and I'm not even vegan

Went here for the first time and me and my partner were both very impressed!
The plant based food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
The place was very busy, so I think that speaks for itself!
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Will definitely be paying another visit there soon!

The food is great and the pizza are very filling. The tiramisu was delicious.

Best vegan pizza, absolutely, 100%. Pesto manifesto, my goodness. The parmesan on the cheese platter is simply gorgeous, the max and cheese is pretty much perfection. Good good good food.

Nicer than a lot of non-vegan pizzas I've had. I don't know how they do it! The vegan gelato also caught me off guard, it was so creamy somehow!
P.
One of the best pizzas I have ever tried. And I didn't notice it was vegan first! I can only recommend it.

This is AMAZING!!
It is 100% vegan, but you can't even notice. Even the ice-cream tastes non-vegan! Staff are friendly and the prices are crazy cheap!
Kids eat free!

Calzone is the best item on the menu 🤤

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food, hygienic and Covid aware. Well done 😊

If you think being vegan means you can't have delicious pizza, think again. From the base, to the massive selection of toppings to the in house 'cheese' everything is amazing!
