The food in this place is so satisfying, the portions are big with some fantastic flavours profiles. The size definitely doesn’t hinder quality in this case. They do a great job at creating a cosy and romantic setting. The thing that really makes this place is the staff- genuinely some of the friendliest and warmest service I’ve ever received. Well worth the hype!

Fantastic menu, we loved the food and had some nice cocktails. Managed to walk in on the bank holiday. Staff were lovely and friendly and we felt very well taken care of. Great decor and just loved the whole experience. Can't wait to visit again!

We were visiting Brighton for our Anniversary and had picked out a handful of venues we really wanted to visit, this one was top of the list for me as it looked so interesting. After unsuccessfully trying to book by phone as we could only get answerphone we decided to take a punt and walk there anyway. We were originally told they were fully booked, we were gutted, but then we were found a table and invited inside. Wow...ot won't disappoint. Quirky amazing decor and very interesting & intimate, so much to look at. The owners were lovely and a the staff so helpful. The food is to die for, my husband had the sausage and myself the lamb. We both had a truly amazing meal. Value for money, beautifully cooked food and great company. I would most definitely recommend booking. They also have a very cute doggy who comes to say hello, toilets are spotlessly clean and a great choice of food & drink. Love love love

The name caught my eye on Google Maps and I drove down from LDN an hour later. Little gem near the seafront! Very cosy restaurant with lovely staff and very tasty food (mix of Eastern European? i.e. deutsche schnitzel and polskie pierogi were on the menu 😁). The dish was freshly prepared by a polish chef, good portion, it had the perfect amount of spices and the taste definitely brought back childhood memories of mom's cooking! Price-wise, I would say is the same as the standard dish in London. I'm already gathering friends to take them there ASAP!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is tasty and the portions are just right. They have a good vegetarian selection too. Its an intimate setting but not to the point of having to whisper to each other. The staff (owner) are absolutely 💯 fantastic. Mr Shadow is adorable and very handsome for his age.

Wow wow WOW!!! The reviews don’t lie, an amazingly beautiful place with stunning interior, ambiance and beautiful staff, so kind and welcoming! The food was to die for and mouth wateringly good! make sure to book in advance as you don’t want to be stuck outside! I’m so glad for once I was organised and managed to book a few weeks ago! I had been recommended this place and had never heard of it, from the moment we walked in the door we were blown away. The staff are so lovely, chatty and helpful and the food is absolutely delicious!! Cooked fresh to order!! We booked another time to come to bring family it was that good!! I went with my friend on Saturday after reading all the amazing reviews and the menu looked incredible. The venue itself is a little gem, cosy and unique and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the fondue and were blown away by how tasty it was. The portion size was huge!! I would give 6 stars if i could as it was that good. The whole experience was so special and I would highly recommend Thewitchez.

I was treated to my birthday meal here. It didn't disappoint. The food has an eastern european vibe to it, and is very tasty with decent sized portions. It's a typically Brighton experience, as it seems to double as a photographic studio and print shop during the day. The food is reasonably priced and the service is informal and friendly.

FANTASTIC!! Well what can I say. Booked by chance as didn't fancy 'the Ivy' again and oh what a fantastic decision that was. This place is an absolute unheralded oasis and is one of the top, if not the top places to eat in Brighton. The decor is quirky and welcoming, the staff are phenomenonal, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and the food......OMG WOW!!!!! They tell you to come hungry and you better!! Portions are phenomenonal and the quality, presentation and standard are Michellin star worthy! I had the veal schnitzel for main and wide had the sea bass. I'd drive from home (Fareham) to Brighton (50m) just to come here for, the evening it's that good. Literally cannot wait to try more of there dishes. If your coming to Brighton, book this place, you won't feel dissapointment and its price point is fantastic to Luke

AMAZING experience! Delicious food and great service. The food portions were massive and reasonably priced. We had the pear and smoked cheese for starters and they were both absolutely divine. For mains, we had the Beef Little Hooves & Fish D’alsace (Sea Bass) and there both tasted great, and you could tell they were homemade. We had apple and rhubarb crumble for dessert- SOOO YUMMY!!! The food was so great that we managed to finish it despite feeling like we're going to explode! Service was great! The place had a very warm and homely feeling and had a cute dog as well. The hosts kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay. 10/10 service! I'd definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you for a great dinner!

Went here for the first time for a birthday treat. Owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome, explaining the various dishes. The food was excellent and beautifully presented - the polish vodka shot came with rules on how to drink it :) They also took great pleasure (along with the rest of my family) in the birthday surprise for me which was a nice touch. I LOVE the witchez. The staff are amazing, so friendly and attentive. The setting is very intimate and I really liked that. The décor was so cool and interesting, random lil books and hats. Superb in every way. Staff so lovely and extremely welcoming, we all had a fabulous meal, even the fussy one who doesn't eat onions and as he calls it "rabbit food (salad) I had the smoked cheese starter which was quite possibly the most delicious starter ever, followed by the lamb.....wow wow wow! Definitely the quirkiest restaurant in Brighton although it doesn't feel like a restaurant, it feels like you're sat in someone's front room!

Best food I've had in Brighton if not anywhere, even enjoyed things I really didn't expect to. The sea wolf had many components I didn't like before but together they made such a beautiful dish. I don't usually opt for a starter so got the polish sausage expecting it to be a small dish. The sausage itself was massive and came with a good portion of chips and fried onions as well as a delicious salad. I was unable to finish the meal on the night and actually had it for dinner the next night as well. The staff were very understanding about wanting to take food home (I always feel bad asking) Not only the best food I've had but the staff were so friendly and the place so lovely that it felt like I was eating with friends. I was surprised when I saw the damage as it was much less than I was expecting, for the amount of food and how beautifully it was presented, starters and mains with beers for all. I've paid much more in other places skipping a starter and just drinking tap water. When I next bring people to Brighton I'll be making sure I have a booking here, it really is a beautiful asset to the city that I'd love to share. I can't wait to visit again.

We are locals so this lovely little place is in our neighbourhood. We have always been intrigued what goes on behind those doors. What a lovely find. The other good reviews on here say it all. Quality food with good service is harder to find in Brighton nowadays but there is plenty of it going on here at Thewitchez. And the added bonus is being able to take your dog out to dinner with you - inside.

Oh my hubble bubble, toil and trouble!!! What an absolute gem of a restaurant and we only just discovered it this week. Located on Brighton seafront, I have walked past this place many times. As you walk in you notice the comforting smell of the homemade food and then you see the photographs. Photographs everywhere; old and new but all real and displayed in various ways. The decor is quirky but this is a photography shop by day and a restaurant by night. The staff are very friendly, chatty and welcoming. We had a cocktail which was as cocktails should be -potent. We shared the bread basket to start which wasn't like your run of the mill bread basket. You get pitta bread with a humous, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and honey dip (yes altogether and yes it works) and a basket of the best garlic bread that I have ever tasted. As a vegetarian, there are choices out there but it can get a bit samey.. at The Witchez, this isn't the case. I ordered the vegetarian version of 'Little Hooves'. This is the best vegetarian meal I have ever eaten. Bursting with flavour, steeped in tradition and more than enough sauce to soak your Polish potato dumplings in. The portions are very big here and we found out afterwards that people do ask for doggy bags. If you're an old Brightonian, a new one or if you're visiting town you should have a meal here. Superb.

We’re so grateful to Ewelina and the whole team here for one of the best dining experiences of 2021. Everyone was so friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The “little hooves” beef stew was excellent, as was the Alsatian sea bass, combining unusual flavours in a very unique way.

Deserves it's "No1 in Brighton" status on TripAdvisor. Fantastic place, fantastic food, fantastic team. Maddie, the manager/host was great. Chatty and enthusiastic, she explained the menu to us and made us feel relaxed and at home. We were lucky enough to walk in off the street but we were early. We witnessed many being turned away as they had no reservation and this was on a wet and windy Thursday evening! A great find. We will be back, for sure.

This place was amazing. Super atmosphere in an intimate and interesting space. The staff were friendly and explained the menu, catering for a variety of allergies and vegetarians. Wow, the starters of smoked cheese, or the pear are must haves. Do have a cocktail to start. The espresso martini is lush. For main we tried a variety of things and they were great, Fish Alsace, Pizzas, potato dumplings. Yum, yum and yum. We squeezed in the cinnamon dumplings for pudding, don't miss it... then met the adorable house dog. Do not go to Brighton and miss this place. Portions are large. Adults only. Enjoy!

Believe all the stellar reviews. This place is absolutely amazing. I just had the best pierogi of my life (and I've had more pierogi than most people have had burgers). They make them at the restaurant. The ratio of filling to pasta is perfect, the sautéed onions and browned butter also perfect. These were better than any pierogi I had in Poland! I wish I lived in Brighton just to eat these every day. And the server was unbelievably kind and thoughtful, caring and not overbearing. There's a reason this place was full of repeat visitors (both local and holidaymakers). Tip: Make a reservation during busy seasons.

I moved to Brighton just recently and I was instantly on the hunt for some restaurants to haunt every once in a while, the witchez has knocked them all out of the park! The food was mind blowing good, it was decorated beautifully, our server was kind and had extensive knowledge of the menu. The drinks were also unique and in incredible too. The apple pie cocktail that others recommended on the reviews did not dissapoint! It actually tasted like an apple pie. If you don't try 'the sea' starter then at least try the mad dog shot :) Thank you so much for the lovely experience.

One of my favourite places I've ever been to! It's a tiny, quirky place with so much to look at (including an adorable dog), the food is from all over the world and very tasty and the portions are very generous. Spent a lovely evening in this restaurant. Staff were fabulous and one member of my party was polish and spoke no English. Her daughter who is my PA came along to translate but it wasn’t necessary as the staff spoke polish and explained every dish on the menu. We all had a starter, main, desert and a drink. The service was superb and the food was excellent. I had dishes that I had never tasted before and I was not disappointed. The menu was dishes from various countries and we all enjoyed our food. I can’t wait to go back and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Even the decor was completely different to most restaurants but it created a lovely ambience. I had left my glasses at home and they were able to provide me with a pair of reading glasses. Well recommended for me and my three guests.

The welcome is wonderful...pull back a thick dark curtain and you enter an atmospheric small restaurant. Lovely fairy lights and various old photos and memorabilia scattered around. Greeted by a lovely lady who is the owner and she carefully explained the menu options. She clearly loves her job and she’s a credit to this restaurant. Visited here last Thursday night. We had booked in advance and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Madi. It felt like we were old friends. She walked us through the menu with such clarity and knowledge...... it was obvious that she knew ever item very well. One of our party is s very picky eater and hates anything ‘green’!! Madi knee exactly what he meant and delivered a delicious meal which he devoured. In fact, 4 clean plates all around with us all very satisfied with our wonderful tasty food. Had a lovely meal on Friday Shared a Mediterranean starter to get in the mood. This consisted of olives and sun dried tomatoes marinated together served with chargrilled artichokes in olive oil, pita bread & hummus.. My main was Tagliatelli King Prawns in a creamy white wine sauce. Delicious and very filling. My friend had the WQitchelicious Burgher. A true challenge and stuffed with delicious extras like tomato, onions, Polish sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, cheese, red peppers and gherkins with chips. Always a pleasure to eat here. The service is wonderfully friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant for an evening out.

This small family owned spot is amazing, menu is set, however has some unique cultural dishes. I had a pear, walnut and date salad on a bed of rocket. It was perfect size and flavorful!
