Fantastic food, service was flawless and they seem to have though about every detail. Can't wait to go back.

A very cozy ambient in the restaurant, serving nice traditional pub food with affordable price tag

We went for Mothers Day and weren't that impressed... Felt like a bit of a profit making day with overpriced food and not enough staff. I've heard great things about it on normal days (like more veggie options) so I'd like to try again but would have to be persuaded... They had a special mothers day menu, which according to someone else was a lot more pricey than their usual menu. And yet didn't get represented by size - a £14 pork shoulder was about the 1/3rd the size of a similar priced one elsewhere. I'm fully aware the quality is supposed to be really good and all the food did taste really nice, but just too expensive for what it was, especially compared to their usual menu. Service took for ever... And we had to get someone to get up and go ask to remind them about the water or bread promised aged ago. I completely understand they were busy but feel like maybe don't take more bookings then you can handle? It obviously ends up on the waiters heads, and although they were probably stressed they weren't that apologetic except at the end they knocked 10% which was nice.

Simply incredible food. Everything we had here - a generous banquet-style meal since we were a large table - was spectacular, from simple seafood dishes to hearty meat. Special attention was made to all dietary requirements and we were made to feel so welcome. A Bristol gem!

One of the best restaurants in Bristol. Amazing food with one of the best wine lists to match. The fantastic staff top it off though! A must visit if in Bristol and we're so lucky to have it in our doorstep. Always a great night out.

This is by far the best place to eat in Bristol! Every dish is always cooked to perfection along with fantastic service! Courses are split between meat, fish and vegetarian and so much choice. Can't recommend highly enough! 😀

Well, it looks like I get the privilege of the first review of Bell's under it's new management. Chris Wick's stewardship was always going to be a tough act to follow, and us Bristol foodies waited with baited breath to see how it would turn out.
I'm overjoyed to tell you it's as good as ever! Some friends and I dropped in just after they opened, and their food is excellent. Locally sourced, we had a swathe of Mediterranean-style dishes served as a meze, and sat there nibbling, drinking a selection of glasses from a fine wine list, and chatting all night. The place is a bit lighter in décor, but the service is as friendly and prompt as ever. It's not cheap but for the quality, portion size, and service, it shouldn't be. We were so excited we took a visiting friend there the following week - and he was bowled over too! Go - you won't regret it.

Really enjoyed the food here and the decor. Only let down was dessert - almond tart was dry and not sweet enough and was served with a not properly frozen ice cream (they had warned about the ice cream and said they wouldn't charge for it but they just shouldn't have served it - it wasn't up to scratch). But that didn't really detract much, the staff were great and I'd definitely go back.

Have been long overdue a visit to this Bristol institution and was not disappointed in any way. From arrival, the staff were warm and welcoming, the menu was broad without being too long and the food was just bursting full of punchy, vibrant and well balanced flavours. 100% would re-visit, highly recommended

Wonderful food, service, atmosphere, and décor. Bell's diner uses quality ingredients, which are beautifully cooked and it is extremely good value for money-we were a table of 6, and enjoyed a glass of prosecco on arrival, ordered three tapas dishes each, shared four desserts and had two glasses of wine during our meal and paid £30 per person including tips. The smiling staff were knowledgeable and advised on the perfect amount of dishes to order. I would highly recommend this dining experience.

Have only been here once. Food felt a tad pricey and we were squeezed onto a tiny table. However, the food and service were superb and it had a great atmosphere. Good food in a casual, intimate setting. A real local gem.

Fine dining experience with a Bohemian touch. Dishes were delicious but the portions kept us asking for more. Staff is cheerful and friendly. Decor is modest and neat.

By far it's strongest attribute is the incredibly cosy, and well presented interior that gives Bell's one of the best atmospheres in the Bristol restaurant scene. The food is equally impressive, with a range of European tapas style dishes. It is not the cheapest, but definitely recommended for a special night.

A group of ten of us had the most fabulous meal here. The food was amazing and the waiters were top-notch. It was one of the best meals I've ever had.

Bit of a mixed story here. The food and wine were really good, recommended. Service was okay, but certainly not warm or friendly, somewhere between business-like (as in we're busy) and cool

Fantastic food got to try a wide range of items due to the tapas style menue, all of which tasted delicious. Great ambiance inside as well. One of the best restaurants ive visited in bristol, will be returning.

Delicious Mediterranean style food in the heart of Bristol. Not the most glamorous neighbourhood, but food was varied and tasty, staff friendly and the setting quirky. Will defo be back.

There's quite a few tapas restaurants in Bristol but Bell's Diner is right up there with the best. Delicious fresh dishes and some of the city's friendliest staff.

So so...
Tapas dishes were good on the whole. A bit pricey though for what it was. The vegetarian tapas was really disappointing...Nice atmosphere but the welcome and service was cold. Drinks overpriced.
