Reviews of Lido
I. W.
Really enjoyed the swim, facilities were good. The pool was a little cool but it's a fantastic setup overall. The steam room was also great. Dined at the restaurant, food was excellent but service was a bit slow.
N. J.
Very good kitchen, nice cold swimming pool and hot sauna. Steam room and jacuzzi are fine. Best Devon scallops Ive ever taste. My partner and I had a nice lunch and two hours of using the facilities. The swim and lunch costs £80. I think the stuff shouldn't ask for extra service fee of 12% as it is a gift voucher. The changing room system is different, the locker and the changing room are separated and too far away from eachother. Be prepared to take off you clothes in the changing room and then bring it to a locker which is located next to the main entrance. Still a nice and cosy place. Unfortunately the membership option is on hold because its fully booked.
D. C.
Really lovely day for a swim and lunch package. 21 degrees is a bit chilly but great once I was moving. The hot tub, sauna and steam rooms were great for warming up and I ended up swimming 65 lengths. Wish I had remembered my swimming hat. Lunch was lovely
s. e.
Amazing food as always! The cheesecake was particularly special. Fantastic relaxed venue to unwind in! Perfect for a swim (but make sure you check membership /booking details)
B. G.
First visit to Clifton Lido and despite the chilly 20C degree water temp, the pool was lovely, as were the Sauna & Jacuzzi. Lovely food too and all-round, relaxing & enjoyable experience.
J. S.
Delicious! Great service as always.
However, I found the paella a bit underwhelming - It lacked salt and needed a bit more spice & flavor. My luck for choosing the special, nevertheless my lamb & sweetbread starter was excellent.
B. H.
Utterly fabulous place! So different with a classy but relaxed vibe
Excellent service and great food - superb value. The locals of Clifton have a hidden gem.
S. H.
Got the swim and dine package. Atmosphere was lovely with the pool and spa and open courtyard. Changing rooms and lockers are separate which was different. It was nice to move between the sauna, pool, hot tub, steam room and back again
Dinner upstairs was nice and the wine delicious. Devon scallops were cooked beautifully and had an amazing sauce. Same with the chicken and mushrooms. Again the sauce was perfect.
Only criticisms are that the cheesecake was a bit ordinary, and the wait staff a bit slow - maybe more focused on closing the place down.
A. S.
A beautiful oasis of calm. The pool is lovely, small but with three clear designated lanes for differing speeds - some swimmers clearly want a good workout while others just want a little splash, all are welcome. There is also a hot tub, a sauna (I think) and a spa. I went to the restaurant for breakfast and the food was fabulous: really tasty, beautifully presented, and very reasonable priced. Sitting under a canopy right next to the pool, the water gently lapping, it was so relaxing! Would recommend to everyone - even if you don't want to swim, it's a lovely place to eat.
S. T. (.
We had dinner here. The menu had choices for all tastes and everything we ordered was very tasty and well prepared. It was a bit strange to eat and drink while others are swimming, but an interesting experience!
A. L.
Absolutely brilliant place! Very unique having a swimming pool next to the restaurant. We were inspired to visit this place after seeing it on the program 'remarkable places to eat'. The food was excellent and definitely lived up to the standard we were expecting. For starter we had the sourdough bread and the wood roasted scallops. For mains we had the wood roasted blue lobster with orzo pasta, slow roasted moroccan lamb, and the vegetable mezze. For dessert we had the dark chocolate mousse with almond praline, the burnt cheesecake with cherries, and the coconut sorbet and chai ice cream. Service was friendly and quick. We really enjoyed our night and we will hopefully be coming back again!
R. M.
Let down by service - breakfast took 45 minutes to arrive. When it did, it was delicious and it is a great location to eat.
A table arrived 15 mins after us and complained how long food was taking - someone from the kitchen came out and apologised, as did one of the service staff. We’d been waiting even longer than they had, but no one came to apologise to us which was disappointing. They were offered their breakfast off the bill, we were not.
A token free coffee may have earned this venue a review rating of 5 stars!

Quirky and classy at the same time. Great service, great food and above all great facilities. Hot tub, Sauna, Steam room, 25m pool, pool side bar, restaurant. Even the pool side changing rooms each have their own shower. What more could you want?!
M. P.
Visited the Lido last Saturday night and had such a wonderful time.
John the receptionist was really welcoming and friendly. He also sorted out an issue with my birthday vouchers.
The pool itself was wonderful to swim in and I could have stayed in the hot tub forever!
The showers were fantastic too and we had a lovely tapas after our swim.
A real hidden gem and treat

What a cool spot to relax in Bristol 😌
Sauna, jacuzzi, and pool combo this morning. I will definitely recommend people to come and check this spot out.
Next time I’ll come to try the food 🙂
H. W.
love the food and the whole vibe! beautiful pool and decor, felt like somewhere exotic. top notch fresh food. been dreaming about the peach salad we had there! could not recommend more
N. v. E.
Great place, lovely staff, wonderful treatments. Food was great too! 👍 🏊♀️😌
J. W. C. K.
Went there with friends for a drink. Elegant atmosphere and was not too crowded. Gave you a good vibe with tables near the outdoor pool. Quiet but not silent environment to chill and have conversation.
R. S.
As I am eating, I am writing this review. One word to describe this place, wow! Very local, great food, great view, great drinks.
S. P.
Really lovely evening swim and spa. The restaurant and food was amazing, highly recommend the scallops. Such a relaxing atmosphere.
1. 6.
Super friendly staff, amazing venue with great facilities in a truly beautiful setting. Highly recommend to anyone.
H. P.
Lovely food, lovely staff and brilliant wine. Definitely coming back here!
S. S.
Great atmosphere for the pool/spa! Decent food and good wine. Limited vegan options for the neighborhood. Wait staff were more focused on closing work than serving tables at the end of the meal.
유.
Highly recommended. The entrance is free. Although the use of the pool has a price.
D. L.
Great place, some improvements since my last visit. Reception area has moved and is more open. A lovely large sauna has also been added. Great place to come for a swim and massage
I. W.
lovey experience swim , sauna and hot tub , breakfast was amazing such a great Sunday morning
R. S.
A very well considered space with a beautiful tiled pool. Hardly any chlorine, so very pleasant to swim in. The sauna/jacuzzi/steamroom all fab too. Outdoor changing rooms come equipped with individual showers and bodywash. Delicious food and drinks from the bar after swim. Felt very luxurious!!
S. M.
My first time here and the first meal I've had in a restaurant since 2019. A really relaxed and comfortable experience with great service and a fantastic, quality menu. Will definitely be going back. (Jan '22)
Y. T.
Amazing food and great service. Went for lunch first day it opened for indoor dining. Sat by pool had drinks while table got ready. Lunch upstairs with view of pool. It's top quality through and through.
L. S.
Tasty lunch with some unusual choices. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the restaurant ceiling fans and relaxing overlooking the pool. Not as pricy as expected.
D. E.
Too much olive oil on most of our dishes, cabbage was swimming in it! Not much choice of dishes. Staff were lovely, and welcoming. Ambience was wonderful.
S. H.
Tdlr; food good, service awful.
The food here was great, we sat downstairs and had a selection of the small plates, each one was extremely tasty. However our waitress (red head, american?) was quite simply awful. She was not welcoming in anyway, barely spoke to us, made it feel like everything was a chore and effectively plonked things on the table without saying anything. Which considering the Lido add a 12% surcharge for service was a joke.
Lido, sort your service out!
a. c.
So i was really looking forward to celebrating my partners 70th birthday at the Lido. there were definite pluses to our meal but quite a few missteps mostly in the service department .
Our allotted table for some reason was not over looking the pool we asked to be switched which seemed to have a negative nock on affect to most of the rest of the service .The waitress tentatively approached the table 3 times with what seemed some confusion, i finally had to ask for menus( apology number 1) , we ordered bread for the table and some anchovies which turned out to be tinned anchovies in olive oil , not something i would of thought a restaurant of this calibre would use, not even 4 very small fillets on the plate and at 6.50 a bit out there price wise as you can pic up a tin at Aldis for around the same price or cheaper ( and yes i understand the cost of getting that meal to my table i was a Chef in another life )We had scallops and lambs sweetbreads both were amazing and served at a good pace , our main courses took around 45 mins to arrive and im not sure i got what i ordered it was supposed to be venison but looked more like a piece of steak while very tasty other patrons similar dishes looked somewhat different , we were told the reason for the delay was that the mains had been taken to the wrong table rejected by that table and then forgotten, Again something that i would not have thought a M one star restaurant would get wrong ,apology number 2 with the maitr "d taking off a portion of the bill i think a couple of non alcoholic drinks.
On to the desert, again in comparison to other patrons our one piece cheese cake took quite a bit of time to arrive, ( no apology this time ) at this time several tables who had come in after us who'd had the same number of courses had left with what seemed perfectly good service so im at quite a loss as to why our time there had this glaring lack of service. The restaurant this particular day wasn't that busy . Would i go there again ? Yes just to see if indeed it was a one off tainted experience, the food was quite good .
J. O.
came as a treat; 2 hours of swimming, sauna and hot tubbing followed by a delicious lunch. All for £40. Enjoyable off-menu veggie mezze and the setting in the sun was lush.
R. R.
Unique spot for a swim, sauna and food and drink. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent - Spanish /Turkish menu and delicious. We booked a day spa including a treatment. The front of house staff as the masseurs were very good, lovely jacuzzi, and relaxation room was welcome. Pool was a bit too cold for my liking but perhaps more geared for serious swimmers. All in a very relaxing day to to a well run, well maintained and stylish setting. Would definitely return.
J. L.
Pleasant good. Nice setting. Took a long time for our meal to arrive and were offered drinks for free.
K. L.
Really liked this restaurant, literally next to a swimming pool, actually looks pretty cool at night time. Highlight here is the food! Despite have a big table, food came at the right pace and every thing was spot on, flavours and done-ness. The venison that day I went was impeccable. Also the Lido beer was pretty nice as well.
D. K.
We dinner on the upper level with views of the lido and the kitchen. The food was delicious, service was good, the desert menu is original for example rhubarb sorbet and elderflower ice cream. Fundamently it's a very good restaurant, the setting is original and adds to the experience, I really enjoyed this and strongly recommend
M. B.
Great menu, tucked away where you'd never know it was there if it wasn't for Google maps and Fred Sirieix. Really helpful staff and good selection of drinks make for a lovely visit and one to repeat again!
C. C.
Cool location with nice food, however, very expensive for what it is (can think of many much better places at that price point). Service was slow.
D. H.
It's taken two years for me to use a birthday voucher but well worth the wait.
Superb facilities and food bearing in mind I'm England's fussiest eater!
D. D.
Lovely ambience and great staff. The food was delicious and there is a great selection of wines. Puddings and coffee were also amazing! Couldn't have chosen an better venue for my 50th birthday meal with family.
D. C.
I was underwhelmed. There arent enough options on the a la carte menu. The balsamic wasn't the best . The staff were lovely though.
H. S.
I've been living in Clifton since January 2019 and regularly visit the Lido, rain on shine, for coffee or wine (depending on the time of day) to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and lovely service. It's my go to place to bring friends and family visiting from out of town. I'm also on the wait list for membership - totally worth waiting for! This place is a haven.
I'm leaving a review today because of the outstanding experience I had this morning. I have two friends visiting from London - one of these friends has had her 30th birthday holiday, hen do and wedding cancelled by the Covid crisis and my other friend and I are desperate to treat her to something special. Alex at the Lido went out of her way to ensure that this would be possible and absolutely made my day with her kindness, thoughtfulness and hospitality.
We are all so excited to be visiting the Lido together. Thank you Alex. You're a rare gem and I hope you have a fab weekend in the sunshine!
A. G.
Lovely pool and spa facilities.
Masseuse was very nice and very good.
Okay tapas food. Lovely restaurant staff.
Great place to buy a voucher for a gift.
A. H.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. We were greeted by a friendly guy that took us to our table and the waitress promptly appeared with her recommendations for the tappas menu. A really nice selection of unusual but fantastic food, will definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a chilled lunchtime escape. 5 stars!
C. C.
Wonderful place, not cheap, but so relaxing and gorgeous. Mum and I went for a morning together and had a fantastic time. I'd definitely recommend a swim & lunch deal that's £40. It's reasonable, and you can spend hours in the pool, hot tub, steam room or sauna. Wonderful morning well spent.
B.
Superb food served here very impressed with friendly staff. The pool looks amazing, definitely worth a visit but not good for parking the car.
a. h.
Lovely experience, great swim with only 5 other people in the pool, quick dip in hot tub, then tasty meal in the restaurant.
M. A.
Not your typical spa, hidden in the heart of the city. Good service with excellent food. It can get crowded, with the high footfall of members. By far it's best asset are the treatments, which are worth the entry fee alone.
J. F.
Best massage I've ever had!
The whole experience - swimming in the lido, massage and meal - was exceptional.
Will definitely return.
L. C.
Excellent service, well presented, very tasty food. we were celebrating a 50th birthday. Great ambiance. Thank you for making our afternoon special.
C. G. M. (.
Great setting, excellent service and VERY TASTY TURKISH EGGS!!!
C. P.
We went with a spa and dine package. Lovely spa facilities, the sauna and steam room are indoor, the jacuzzi and swimming pool are outdoor - be warned if the weather is cold (it was snowing when we were there!). The swimming pool is slightly heated, but still very cold. The food in the restaurant was good, but the meat dishes (lamb and beef steak) in the main courses were not good, the meat seemed to be of poor quality and very chewy despite being cooked quite rare. Everyone in my group left most of their main. The vegetarian starter was delicious though (see picture).
C. G.
It's a little shabby, a little bit old and I love it. It's very quaint and still super luxurious despite being a bit dated. The pool is a lovely temperature and even in March when we went is was warm enough to swim outside. I loved that the sauna still has hot stones and isn't a radiator in a wooden box!! Pouring the water on is so satisfying.
The food is amazing and their homemade granola was great.
Only short of 5 stars because my cappuccino was cold and mostly milk not foam. See the pic!
W. M.
As part of our Bristol experience we headed here for swim and lunch. Finding the venue wasn't easy but.....Weather was not brilliant and I think that does impact on enjoyment. That said, swim staff were v helpful in changing our lunch/swim time etc. We had lunch upstairs and it was largely good. It wasn't v warm as part of floor is open to elements. Scallops were delightful. However mallard for main was severely undercooked - red raw and bleeding. We mentioned this to waiting staff who didn't seem interested.....dessert was ok. We had a couple of cocktails and a bottle of wine and bill was £165. It was good to swim outside in UK.
M. S.
The Lido is a 5 minute walk from our home and we never realised it was there until recently. The food was amazing. Will definitely be booking again.
R. B.
One of, if not the best, massage I have had. Beautifully tucked away gem. Feels like a place that could easily be abroad and yet you wouldn't know it was amongst the bustling streets. Has great facilities, friendly and attentive staff and gorgeous food and drink. I would highly recommend it. Understandably long waiting list for memberships!
J. P.
Great massage. Should have arrived 10-15 minutes early to properly chill out and change first but they still somehow made.it exceptionally relaxing 😌
D. B.
Overall the swim and breakfast is a nice experience, just a massive shame there’s no vegan option on the menu! When you have to ask and they list all the expensive ingredients they will swap for cheaper alternatives it feels like an after thought.
M. P.
Fantastic food, lovely staff. Great evening out.
C. C.
As always, amazing facilities, and great food. Have been visiting for years and the decor (mainly restaurant) could do with some tlc, but all round great day out
T. B.
Really nice and relaxed place for a day out. We went for a swim, massage and dinner and all were really good.
S. C.
We were there for the swim, massage and meal deal. It was fantastic from beginning to end and can't wait to go back!!
k. f.
The place was nice. However, amongst others we ordered the artichoke, which was a joke. £5 for literally 2 spoons of it (the rest was not edible)
D. R.
Loved it! Delicious breakfast. Nice atmosphere and service was excellent .
Loved watching the swimmers!
s. m.
Very unique setting. Splendid service from our young server. Food was good but not exceptional. Scallops had not been separated from shells and duck skin not crisp as it should be.
A. H.
Bristol Lido is one of those fantastic hidden gems in th city. Recently refurbished it's an exlectic mix of old and new. The pool is heated but can often still be fairly nippy in the winter, however do not fear the outdoor jacuzzi is only a few steps away. The indoor steam room and sauna are cosy but small in size and showers and changing rooms a plenty. Towels are expensive to rent at £3 a go but flip flops are free. Brunch is on point and for £35 for swing and brunch it's a great deal. Defo visit if visiting bristol of a weekend.
C. G.
Very good lunch in the restaurant upstairs. All four if us thought the starters, main and wine was excellent.
N. H.
Love this place, been a couple of times now. Can’t recommend it enough.
Please believe the hype.
Ps I only ever leave a 5 star or 1 star review.
M. B.
What a lovely beautiful hidden gem. Wish I had known about it months ago to book a therapy and a swim long time in advance. The breakfast we had there was unique and awesome, friendly staff.
T. S.
Really great out of the way spot in Clifton for a swim and relax. The outdoor pool is fairly cool but it's okay when you are in and it keeps you swimming! Has an outdoor hot tub and a steam room and sauna overlooking the pool, which is also overlooked by the glass fronted cafe and restaurant. Every detail of the experience has been thoughtfully put together down to the heated tile floor in the individual changing/shower rooms and the dressing tables with hair dryers. Had a coffee and cake post swim in the cafe which were very good.
l. R.
Amazing food and really attentive, helpful staff.
A. W.
Swimming outdoors was amazing. Loved the quaint outdoor changing room but avoided the cold shower! Massage was one of the best I have had, thankyou. Bit of a mix up with the restaurant but they kindly found us a table upstairs. Food was good especially the vegetarian. Would definitely go again if in the area.
C. S.
Very impressed. Great staff, innovative cooking, great fresh ingredients...
L. A.
Good staff, amazing food and spectacular atmosphere
C. B.
Good service. Good food. Interesting menu. Not cheap.
Enjoyable experience 😊
M. N.
I chose this place as it I on the Michelin star website, I was disappointed by the view. There were people swimming while we were having a meal. The meal was not amazing, I found it quite average for the price and the wine selection is poor
T. W.
Wonderful time spent in this luxurious open air pool and jacuzzi the staff were so welcoming... Breakfast was delicious (Turkish eggs) Later I had the most intuitive massage and facial... first class, exceptionally good from Callum highly recommend this person.
L. A.
Fabulous! Had a lovely time, beautiful pool and accommodating facilities
I. M.
Outstanding food enjoyed in a truly atmospheric & unique setting. As a vegetarian who loves big flavours, I was so impressed with my veggie main; this bright, flavourful dish of roasted vegetables, homemade flatbread and homous. It all tasted so fresh & carefully selected together with its herbs and seasoning. Incredible value for such a special place. Highly reccomend for a special occasion.
S. B.
We loved the setting and the service started well, but, we had to wait over 45 mins for our main course to arrive and when the bill came we had to point out that they had forgotten to bring a side dish . Overall service was disappointing, what should have been a celebratory lunch was spoilt by just taking too long.
l. b.
Really nice food and atmosphere, the portions for.me were a little small but the food was excellent.
b. b.
Pretty surroundings and beautiful food, well worth a visit.
S. C.
Really love ace to eat. Great atmosphere, food could of been better though.
L. O.
Interesting tapas place with a view of a swimming club. Food was generally good. 2 dishes took 45mins to come but otherwise no complaints
P. M.
Stunning setting nice and relaxing.
Staff and food are exceptional 10/10
C. C.
I've never been for a swim but indonlove their cafe space. Sitting and watching the swimmers doing lengths is very relaxing. Their staff are friendly and the coffee is good too.
N. S.
We went for a 3 course lunch. Starter of peach and tomato salad was delicious. The Iberico pork starter was also very tasty. For mains a vegetarian mezze was colourful and delicious but lacked a good, homemade, GF bread to mop up the hunmous. The chicken was obviously high quality amd tasted good, although I was left hungry from a small portion. The ice cream desserts were really good, especially the PX and raisin ice cream. Overall very good but really needs to get some decent GF bread, not the horrid white uvela (home-made or decent wholesale are much better).
d. m.
Simply an amazing meal and service. Highly recommended the restaurant
R. B.
Nice atmosphere and ideal place to send the wife or girlfriend for a spa treatment. I think the pool might be members only. But the cafe on the side of the pool area is brilliant and lovely and relaxing. Its light bites downside and upstairs is restaurant. Lovely fresh food and always well cooked.
M. S.
Lido is great for lunch and a swim in the summer. Just make sure your hydrated specially if it's a hot day and maybe skip the steam and sauna if you cannot stomach it. Avoid the spritzers as it can give you a headache. All in all a great place to chill and relax.
k. o.
Great pool, with a lovely vintage feel. Went for breakfast by the pool. Great setting but perhaps could have been a greater choice on the menu.
A. D.
Had a lovely afternoon at the Lido yesterday afternoon,we had the swim, massage, meal package which was very well priced. Staff where nice and friendly and very helpful. Had a particularly rude encounter with a lady in the pool
Iam assuming she was a member? We had driven down from Birmingham and therefore where not familiar with the parking arangements, so much so it took us 40 minutes to find a parking space!
Will definitely be back.
B. W.
Booked in for a Wednesday evening and the food and service were both outstanding. Attentive without being overbearing. The Mediterranean and North African influences made for a very interesting menu. Expensive but absolutely worth every penny for a lovely experience and great meal.
M. P.
Loved everything about today... Spa is lovely, massage was blissful!! And the food was not just perfect for me and my special diet but also delicious!!
n. E.
Superb quality meal and attentive, professional service. Let down only by the choice of wines. But the food was just exquisite and a fun, unusual setting.
S. M.
We had lunch here, and it was one of the best meals I've had in ages. Great Mediterranean style food and friendly service. I would definitely recommend the restaurant, and as we went on a Tuesday we got free corkage on a bottle of wine. What's not to like?
J. M.
A wonderfully relaxing day. The hot stone massage was lovely and the therapist was really nice. Had a really tasty lunch with friends and spent the rest of the day in the spa. All the staff were super helpful. The food in the restaurant both looks and tastes amazing. Can't wait to go back.
M.
Delicious lunch with generous portions. The Basque fish stew was beautiful as were the g&ts with grapefruit.
P. B.
Essence of relaxation.
P. B.
Another fab evening at the Clifton Lido. Was a bit worried about it being chilly (Nov eve) but it was all the better for it. The pool and spa facilities weren't too busy (first time using the bigger sauna which was lovely) and it was lovely being in the hot tub overlooking the pool.
Meal was fab too (we got the swim and dine package). Great service from our waiter (didn't get his name but he had fair hair? Hopefully he'll get the credit for this review!) There was a couple of big tables in at the same time as us but this didn't affect the food or service. Scallops as usual were stunning (had to order more bread for the garlic butter they come in). Loved everything about the whole experience.
Would recommend looking out for their advent of Christmas deals as they have discounted vouchers (for the swim and dine package for example). Makes a lovely present for someone who has everything and doesn't need anymore tat!
Will be back soon.
P. S.
Scallops were to die for. Lovely atmosphere. Staff were fantastic.
t. B.
Great food set in beautiful surroundings

Traditionally the service in the lido bar has been poor (perhaps even famous for how bad it can be for such a great place). However, I ended up there on a date yesterday, and the staff were magical. I think they had their suspicions that we were on an internet date and maybe even were rooting for us - we arrived about 6 and our table was reserved from 7.30 - however, I'm not sure why, but at some point one member of staff who had been very charming and attentive, moved the reservation sign and very warmly said that we no longer needed to worry about moving off by 7.30. We ended up not leaving until several hours later! Thanks to the Lido staff who were working last night for adding to what was an excellent first date.
J. D.
Great open air pool in a rather surprising location. High end pricing. Quite warm water. Good Cafeteria.
s. e.
Great food, great service and such a lovely setting.
C. B.
Breakfast was ok but the service… oh dear… the yound lady « welcoming us » was atrocious
P.
An extremely classy feature of Bristol, I would like to give a special highlight to the customer care and attention we received. We've been historically for special anniversary meals and so forth and our recent experience was not so good - we were extremely impressed to be invited back for another go which was hugely improved, with good food and service.
The spa itself consists of a large restaurant serving a moderately priced menu (and excellent coffees) running directly along the long, outdoor pool. The water is great for lengths, but too cool for just chatting in (a good thing, on balance), there is a lovely outdoor hot tub, a steam room and a vastly improved, new sauna. There is some limited, indoor changing, the rest is in the classic 'booths' alongside the pool.
P. J.
Absolutely stunning food at the Lido this evening. Many thanks.
K.
Top notch food with an unbeatable view! 😍
T. K.
We did a swim and dine deal and thought it was great. On the swimming front - it's a lovely pool and the is a nice hot tub, sauna and steam room. Was a little busy at times so need to rotate between facilities tactically. Not much use for lane swimming as too many people chatting away in the pool. Food was really good - wood fired steak was a winner for me. Great evening
T. K.
Absolutely gorgeous lido with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi as well as a Spanish tapas restaurant right next to the pool. £20 to swim though!
M. A.
The perfect place for a treat. European style getaway in the middle of Bristol. Refreshing outdoor pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub, with public use available in the afternoons for a fair price. Lovely cafe overlooking the pool. Delicious tapas, slightly pricey but worth it for a special occasion. They also offer spa membership for about 50 pound a month too.
S. T.
Really nice setting, the pool and spa is all wonderful. We did the dinner and swim option which was nice. Starters were great but both the main courses lacked something, neither of us were that inspired. Also the staff seemed to rush us a lot. I wouldn't let it put you off though as it's very nice.
P. R.
9/10 of the staff are friendly, nice cafe, dining area. Food was tasty, and the massages were incredible. But for the cost of the package you spend a lot of your time in the spa sat on someone else's lap. Spend an extra £20 and get a flight and entrance to a spa abroad. Would go back for the cafe.

Have had a few great meals here, lovely atmosphere and scrummy food! Really impressed with how amazing the food has been even when I've been part of a 30+ person group, all food just as good as if we were a table of 4! Also a fantastic place for a swim and massage!
K. S.
Amazing day at the Lido again!!! Special mention to Alexandra on reception and Sarah for the most blissful facial. The restaurant served 10 of us for my Birthday lunch amazingly and the food was gorgeous. Feeling really chilled and happy with my experience.

Loved it! My birthday treat from my daughters in May 2029, with massage treatments day spa, pampering and a lovely meal. Beautiful well runned amenities and good service all around. Definitely recommended this beautiful gem in the heart of Bristol 💕
C. B.
Two restaurants - lower cost tapas downstairs, expensive restaurant upstairs. This review is for the upstairs restaurant.
The atmosphere can be a bit quiet, but I love dining & watching swimmers in the old Lido pool. At night there's beautiful reflected light. The restaurant can be opened up to the outside, to a great place to sit when the weather is nice.
We've had excellent food here. Don't miss the ice cream sampler for puds - they make it there and it's out of this world.
If you're looking for super buzzy, you might be disappointed. But for a lovely atmosphere, good service, and great food it's one of our 'go to' restaurants. We love taking visitors there as it feels quite unique.
S. S.
We were given a of a 3 course dinner for 2. We arrived a little early but we're welcomed to our table straight away. The staff were all excellent - and there were plenty of them. The food was lovely and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed watching other people swimming while I lazily drank my water and ate my food! Highly recommend a visit.
C. E.
Very nice spa water at 22 with cafe and resturant
S. D.
A fabulous lunch destination - a real hidden gem. Food and drinks were exceptional and service was excellent.
J. M. R.
Amazing experience!! Swim and dinner! Totally recommend it if you've never been there.
M. N.
First time after the pandemic hit, slightly disappointed with the service and the experience. I think it’s gone down. Got to find another place for a massage treatment now
S. D.
Lovely place. We booked package of a swim and evening dinner. Food very good and staff first class. Only critisisms would be we found the hour and a half for use of pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna a little rushed and an extra half an hour would have been perfect.
M. A.
Great staff, nice food
k. n.
Nice overall experience but expensive. As a treat worth It, I took my sister for her birthday. Very small mind.
S. B.
Amazing surroundings, great ambience, and delicious food. A fabulous experience.
A. M.
Was fun trip, got a spa and meal voucher. Steam Room was a little cosy and busy and the pool was colder than expected, but the food was really good and service was great at both as well. Will go back even with the mentioned above and would recommend. Think they should rig up the always on kitchen fire to heat the pool, just a thought.
S. G.
Booked for a 40th birthday, hoping for a relaxed spa experience on a saturday.....not what we got. Was open to children so took away the calm ambience. Food was well presented and tasted good and the treatment (facial) was amazing. Only let down was the lack of relaxing when you have buggies and screaming children...especially for the price you are paying.
R. S.
My favourite place in the world! Had our wedding day here and it couldn’t have been better. The food, the setting, the alcohol, the decor....these guys are AMAZING! Freddie - head chef - a fab character and pulled out all the stops! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! We had a brilliant day and will be back regularly in the years to come xxx
B. C.
Lido Spa & Restaurant was an absolute treat. We did the swim and afternoon tea package and it was an amazing experience. The facilities are excellent, and you come out feeling fabulous. The afternoon tea was delicious, and our the whole afternoon was sensational. Great value for money.
N. C.
This place is a small piece of heaven. It's my favourite place in all of Bristol. It is more expensive than going to a standard public pool but not all pools come with a sauna, steam room, hot tub, treatment spa and a wonderful restaurant attached! The facilities are high quality and kept clean. The decor is colourful and inviting with a touch of shabby chique about it. The food is great (especially with a member's discount). Downstairs for breakfast ans tapas, upstairs for the full menu. Sometimes the place is busy, but it's always wonderful.
A. M.
Reasonable prices on the set menu, very nice atmosphere, delicious food not ordinary.
A. B.
This is a review about the restaurant. It is a classic tale of mediocrity charging bloated prices. The food is so boring, average and disappointing. Plus , they need to sort out their interior design. Nice view of the pool tho.
D. H.
Been here a few times and when it's good it's great but they do have an occasional misstep in the kitchen - the wood oven thing works well for lots of stuff but not everything. The location, though! On a sunny day or warm evening it is fantastic. Great selection of gins and the staff all seem to know what they are doing which makes the whole experience a pleasure.
F. C.
I have been a member for 7 years and I love coming to swim. It is a beautiful oasis and I feel so priveleged to be a member....... However the staff are so unfriendly and quite, dare I say, cold I recognise them and smile but get little in return, it is just disappointing. I have been meaning to say this for a long time. Couldn't your staff be trained in customer care. I am a nurse and if I am tired or fed up I still smile at my patient and make them feel cared for. Please try it doesn't take much.
J. T.
Best lido I've been to so far
I. F.
Another great quirky Bristol restaurant overlooking the lido pool, very nice food both in the restaurant and tapas in the downstairs bar. Friendly staff who'll let you taste before you buy this is a lovely place to celebrate with family and friends. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.
S. L.
Lovely evening with my daughter. Social distancing being practiced, so booking necessary. Luckily it was a fine evening when we were there. Then into restaurant for delicious food.
e. j.
Very relaxing . Friendly staff excellent food (tho a bit pricey) sauna steam room hot tub and out door pool very clean
S. B.
The location, facilities and food are fantastic. The service is very very poor. I can't speak for the restaurant but the service in the cafe/bar is very slow. I have waited the best part of an hour for just a coffee. This is compounded by the fact that the staff seem to just mill about with not much to do a lot of the time.
The service aside it is a beautiful spot and a great place to spend sunny days.
c. h.
Excellent and unique place. Whether you are looking for good coffee or tapas in the cafe bar or more sophisticated food offering in the first floor restaurant, the Lido is a great place to start. Also on offer is the pool and sauna etc. Really feels like a one off and definitely worth checking out.
M. J.
We had a fantastic dinner here! The food was gorgeously done, great drinks menu, and nice relaxed but chic and cozy environment. Loved it.
M. T.
What a great place tucked away where you would least expect it. Real hidden gem. We went for the '2 hours & brunch'. The facilities are great, however the breakfast, particularly the staff service, was average. Note that it starts to get very busy from mid-morning on a Saturday.
K. H.
Great place for drinks and Cafe. Loved watching the swimmers as we enjoyed our drinks.

I came to the lido this week after one of my colleagues recommended it for a full body massage at the spa.
I was and hour early as I wasn't too sure where it was and wanted to make sure I wasn't a minute late as the massage is £65.
I was welcomed by a nice girl however was just staired at by another that had a befounded face when i said id ever been here when asked.
I went to the bar as I was very early and was told by the bar staff that it was table service and to take a seat anywhere and someone will be over shortly.
Well shortly was 45 minutes. 45 minutes of been ignored when staff walked by. Then finally someone came over to ask if they could help and when I said it like the menu I can tell her was shocked that I hadn't been see to yet.
The spa was amazing very clean and has heated floors that is nice when you walk round bare foot.
8pm on the dot my therapist came down to get me and led me into the room and was everything you think it would be for the price.
NOW the massage was one of the best I have ever had and iv had lots as I am a therapist.
However was disappointed when it finished and found out I did not have the hour I paid for .
The massage started after 8 when it should of started at 8 and was cut short before 9.
NOW for £65 for an hour I do expect and hour massage.
As good as the massage was I do think they need to think about time management as this will stop customers returning when you are not getting the time you have paid for.
T. L.
A few laps of the pool and a sauna before dinner. Bliss. Except it's seriously crowded at peak times. And the changing facilities are a bit tired. Food is gorgeous and staff delightful. It's a members club but you can go as a regular punter. One of Bristol's curiosities.
B. R.
Far exceeded all my expectations. What a lovely evening we had. The pool is superb and all the facilities, the staff were super friendly and helpful but most of all the meal we had was on another level!! A huge thanks to the chef.
G. E.
Great place for a swim and spa treatments.
H. C.
Lovely pool, though I found it quite difficult getting in and out, as I have a dodgy knee. Food excellent
B. B.
Excellent north African and southern European influenced food in, particularly on a lovely summer's day, beautiful surroundings overlooking the pool. Fresh ingredients, strong flavours, interesting combinations. Service polite and very attentive, knowledge about the food and accommodating of various dietary requirements around the table.
T. R.
Always love coming here. Amazing food, beautiful setting, lovely pool and fantastic treatments.
p. b.
I got a surprise "Swim and breakfast" package. It was absolutely amazing. The open air pool was glorious and the hot tub was just amazing. After that we had breakfast, all I can say is that the turkish poached eggs where the best I've ever tasted. I am also told that the price was reasonable, but I don't know as it was a surprise :)
S. B.
Love this place! . Friendly helpful staff. The setting is amazing.! The outside pictures don't do this place justice... inside it's warm and inviting with wonderful views of the outside pool. The menu varies from simple humous and bread( I had this and it's rxcexcell!) to a full scale meal. The emphasis is on good food in a relaxed setting.
E. D.
Went here with a group of friends after biking all weekend, it was just what the muscles needed. The pool is amazing, very long and flowing over with water, the temperature was just right, there is a cold water bucket and lots of showers. The sauna and steam room fit about 6 people in each room. It was nice to have lunch in the restaurant the food and service was okay and the ambience very nice.
O. W.
Beautiful place in an amazing location, hidden away in the heart of Clifton Village is an outdoor pool surrounded by old school changing rooms, spa and restaurant. The restaurant had a very good selection of food but also a very good wine list. Very good service with little wait for starters and mains. Would recommend!
K. L.
Fantastic outdoor pool, with a bar/restaurant beside it. The hot tub, sauna and steam room were great although they are not that big, so may be full and therefore you may have to wait before you can use them. The toilets beside the pool were not the cleanest when we visited, but the staff did mention to us to use the toilets by the bar.
The Lido does several packages and treatment options. Looking forward to go back and try the evening meal package.
J. R.
Nice, but completely overpriced. It’s really more a ‘swimming pool with a jacuzzi and sauna’ than a SPA. Breakfast was a joke, the smoked salmon with toast looked like it came from a nearby Tesco and had just been lazily dumped on the plate. Would recommend if everything was half the price.
B. M.
Had a fabulous afternoon here on a non-members pass. The sunshine had a lot to do with it but I found the facilities very clean and well maintained. The restaurant menu was pleasant and not badly priced although the wine was a bit more expensive. We stayed for the full time we were allowed in order to get our moneysworth but it was still too expensive to go back there any more often than on special occasions only.
E. I.
In summary I would say nice menu, friendly staff, with disappointing food for this price point.
Having been to the lido for Sunday morning spa and brunch, I thought I would take my parents to the restaurant for dinner. The staff were friendly and the service was good. I'd have to say though that on the whole the food was disappointing, particularly for the process charged. The burrata starter was beautiful and very generous in size. My dad's Torta del Casar, with potatoes, and Iberico ham migas was really small, oily and dominated by the potato. the fish in my hake main course was really tasty, but the accompanying mussels and broth had very little flavour. My mum's fish was tiny and the presentation messy with a huge side of celeriac mash that looked like it had been slopped on to the plate. Based on the first two courses, we didn't have dessert, particularly with ice cream coming in at £5.75 for one flavour.
When asked if we enjoyed the meal, we mentioned the good and bad and will the bill came, the torta starter and my mum's fish were deducted, which was a nice gesture.
C. B.
The lido is madly expensive. Insanely so. However it is also a mini paradise in there. The cafe is lovely, and getting a massage there was incredible. They have absolutely sussed the 'how to bliss out the clientele' game and I left walking on air. But £20+ for a swim is bananas. I was hoping to have a dip before my massage, but at those prices I settled for an extortionate coffee by the water's edge instead. If I win the lottery, I'll be back.
J. R.
An amazing place to unwind. They also have great food and coffee. The spa days are excellent. So good that I decided to get the swim membership! A little gem, tucked away in the city. Well worth a look.
M. E.
Beautiful setting overlooking the lido pool and the food was absolutely stunning from start to finish. Not cheap but it was worth the cost.
They also do a really good lunch deal or a selection of swim and eat packages which make it much more financially viable to visit!
A. S.
Love the Lido. Always a great place to hang out, when you're looking for somewhere quiet. Come and have a tea or coffee for an hour. Sit indoors when it's chilly or soak up the sun outside and watch the water in summer. There's a restaurant upstairs, which I've visited once. Great food both in the restaurant and tapas downstairs. Quite expensive prices but I've never been disappointed. Just the occasional not hot enough hot chocolate. Can get pretty busy at weekend mealtimes but otherwise very relaxing.
B. W.
Great place. Lovely facilities, lovely staff, lovely food.
B.
Loved the amaretto salted hot chocolate! This was a lovely place to visit and I can imagine I'd love taking my laptop here to sit at the edge of the pool and write. The cafe is nice and bright and the pool seemed extremely popular even in pretty nasty weather.
O. R.
Great pool, spa and restaurant. Staff really friendly, and packages are fantastic value for money.
C. S.
Had an excellent meal and a lovely day with my family.
Staff were very helpful and professional
We had 2yr old with us and a plate of chopped veg was offered while we awaited the main food to come
T. B.
Best massage treatment of my life here, it was wonderful. Bit disappointed with it as a spa day though. They're very limited for space (obvs not their fault) but it does mean that if you're not swimming in the pool and haven't booked a table in the very limited space of the café/restaurant, you're done very soon. Hot tub was rammed. (This was a Thursday). There's no 'lounging around' space. Pool is lovely, staff are lovely.
R. L.
Had 2 of the most amazing massages here, but their whole 'spa day experience' was totally lacking.. it was incredibly cold and impersonal. Not the best service overall, but food tasty and breakfast good value for money.
L. G.
Had a great dinner there and the staff were very accommodating. The entrees of scallops in crab or fabulous. Unfortunately my main was very poor I got the salmon and would have been disappointed if I purchased that out of a plastic container from Tesco's for £3. It was flavourless and tasted like the cucumber was off so don't recommend that meal. everything else was great and would like to go back for the Tappers and in the restaurant at look like they had a a tappas dessert as well that looks like it's worth a try.
A. V.
Visit the Lido regularly, but Sarah is by far the best massage therapist I’ve had. She took some time to ask me questions before the session and asked me which areas I’d like her to focus on.
She was friendly, professional and observant, and gave me the most relaxing and therapeutic massage I’ve had in a while.
J. P.
Heaven. I really liked the vintage feel with a modern twist.
We had a spa package that encluded a tapas meal in the resturant which was amazing we ordered extra tapas and wehre charge for the least expensive rather than the most which is unusual in thease sort of deals. The staff were very knowledgeable.
My husband and i also really enjoyed the tea relaxation room after our spa treatment. We went in the hotub but didnt brave the pool.
S. b.
Lovely pool and spa facilities. Loved my treatment. Massively disappointed with the portion sizes in the restaurant. 1 scoop of ice cream! Literally 1 was classed as dessert.
A. W.
Great customer service though staff seem run off their feet so service is hindered by this (the ground floor tapas bar) Best to visit off peak times for spa facilities. Pretty expensive eg glass of house wine =£8. Public access is Monday to Friday from 1 until 4 =£20
d. k.
Really love the atmosphere at the lido. I've swum here a couple of times and it's pleasant on a hot day... Otherwise chilly!
Both the restaurant upstairs and the tapas bar downstairs are very nice but a little bit a little bit too pricey to get 5 ⭐ from me.
D. S.
Excellent staff, exquisite ambiance & the massage are to die for. I ate in both the dinning & tapas bar & can honestly say that they are well priced & are well presented. Can't wait to go there again
a. s.
Consistently good for years now.
To start I had what I suspect was akin to "southern fried" sweetbreads and artichoke hearts with what I would call a "salsa verde aoli" and it was so good!
Then wood fired pork bavette (rare), a Cauliflower and grana padano (I'm a fiend for Italian food - who isn't) with some sort of roasted veg (turnip? I'm not pro an going off memory here!) garnished with chilli and walnut. It was delicious, I had ample pork, the sauce was strong and dressed appropriately. Wouldn't want any more than given I mean. But it all went well together, my only note would be it was all very savoury. I would have had a fruity thing there to top it off, just a garnish. Mustard fruit??! maybe some homemade spicy pickle of some sort - basically something to cut through the salty, savoury, umami thing that was so vibing on the plate. Otherwise, a top notch dish.
Service was first class and all. Attentive, unobtrusive, friendly. Great stuff.
C. W.
A beautiful outdoor swimming pool with a steam room and sauna. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Make yourself hungry with a swim and then enjoy a delicious tapas lunch in the restaurant. A lovely place for a date if you're in a long-term relationship.
R. B.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service
I. V.
Great massage in a gorgeous setting. Will be back to try the restaurant.
D. T.
Fantastic food and a great place for a drink. The pool is great and slightly cooler than most but perfect after a few lengths. Lovely sauna and steam room. Slightly expensive but well worth the money.
D. L.
A lovely place for dinner, but a better place for coffee with friends.
This is a great place to take out-of-town friends if you're trying to convince them to move to Bristol! Good in sun or snow, but (due to the giant glass wall) a little depressing when overcast or raining.
T. B.
Currently offer non members 45 mins swim for £10.00. Can have combo deal for £35.00 that includes restaurant two course.
B. R.
Lovely bar for near-al-fresco drinking, but don't expect to swim. We had a nice drink after a work course in a spectacular and unusual setting. You have to be a member to swim, which even costs 200 pounds for an out-of-towner to have 6 swims!
M. D.
Lovely place, relaxing.. welcoming staff and delicious food
S. A.
Lovely food and very relaxing to take a dip or steam room before dinner (even when it's nippy outside). We're not members but enjoy visiting for the dip and dine every so often.
C. R.
Absolutely stunning on a sunny day. Can be a touch pricey but it's what you expect for being an outdoor pool in the nicer end of town. Pop in for a coffee and chill or check out the fairly decent restaurant upstairs.
R. G.
Very tasty food. Something which goes beyond the normal UK kitchens. For a guest from Europe I would which 1 or 2 traditional beer brands. Everything is very posh...
S. G.
A wonderful place for a wedding - really unique wedding venue which is tucked away in central Bristol. Gorgeous light spaces and a quirky backdrop combine to make it a fantastic place to get married. I photographed here last month and loved it!
F. H.
Simply fantastic! Great range of treatments in a wonderful restored Lido that transports you to a nicer time of opulence and manners! Excellent menu under the guidance of Head Chef Freddy Bird. Highly, Highly recommended.
D. B.
Amazing venue and wonderful breakfast! I wish we were able to have a swim!
R. L.
Everything is great, the staff, drinks, food and the treatments are all top notch.
The pool is always a bit cooler than you initially expect but you soon adjust once you start swimming.
E. E.
This is a great place to chill out. The 'Early Lunch and Spa' package is good value and a nice way to spend a weekday. Food was tasty.
J. B.
Excellent venue, but: Jack hammer raging during our visit.
Plus a service charge of .40 pence was added to my coffee bill, when I would normally, have been happy to give more
S. H.
Great food and wine in a unique, historic and great quantity venue. The serving staff were very friendly and attentive and made our evening most enjoyable
W. F.
Very good tapas in the bar area but mighty expensive. I've been here several times over a number of years and always enjoyed the food. Tonight the tapas were excellent but the small portions were very expensive.
G. A.
Bit pricey and understaffed at the time of the visit, but the food was good
J. S.
Really lovely pool and surrounds. The restaurant serves delicious food, but for some reason they decided to put in tables that will absolutely destroy the knees of anybody over 5'10".
T. J.
Very nice atmosphere. Lovely to see the pool at night. Staff very friendly. Wine is slightly better making a lovely end to a Monday.
M. B.
Visited the restaurant in a group of 10+ for our office Christmas dinner, they didn't ask us to choose our meals in advance-instant plus points! Staff knew the menu inside out and the food was fantastic, will definitely return
L.
Love the pool and sauna etc. The staff we met on reception however are unfriendly and treat your arrival as an inconvenience. No effort on their part whatsoever. I’ve worked hospitality for 5 years and would never act like that.
B. E.
We went for the Tapas menu next to the pool. The food was delicious.
J. T.
A lovely surprise 'full works' spa treatment for my birthday and a very nice spread of unusual and absolutely delicious tapas afterwards. Thank you to all the Lido staff for making our evening really special.
A. P.
A gem in the heart of the city! Just had drinks there once, but will definitely revisit. The food, even for civilised foodies as us, seems overly fancy, and a price tag to go with it! But for a unique place like this, we were willing to pay a little bit more!
L. C.
Fantastic secluded spa in the heart of Redland. Went recently and had a relaxing massage followed by a delicious lunch downstairs in the restaurant. Reservations are advised on the weekend. It gets very busy.
P. H.
Tapas next to the Lido pool is always a good place to lunch. It's cheerful, the Tapas is good and the service really is pleasant, willing and on the ball. Whether you swim or not is entirely up to you.
A. C.
Nice day in relaxing place. I had lovely lunch fish meal (maybe just a little bit salty) and then facial massage with Alicia that she was great! . Thank you x
I. P. P.
Tasty food and a cosy place. I went for dinner on my own, as a treat, after a house moving. Ordered some green asparagus with almond sauce and, if my memory isn't too bad, a Seabass over a risotto bed, with some seafood sauce. Also, oil and vinegar and some bread, and a glass of wine.
In all honesty, there is nothing I can thing of as a weak point. I was placed on a small square table, next to the windows that look at the swimming pool. Nice evening, quiet, cosy place, dimmed lights, decoration was mostly glass, wood and steel, rustic-like look. I could see the kitchen in the background. It was an overally very pleasant experience. I am definitely going back again.
V. M.
We love visiting the Lido, our local hidden gem. Facilities are sublime. Food is outstanding. You'll pay the price if you have the spa, food and drink, but for that special occasion, it would be worth it.
E. K.
Great place. Spotlessly clean. Helpful staff. Lunch was awesome unusual menu food gorgeous. Can't wait to go back.
L. B.
The water in the pool was a little cooler than I would have liked, but it made me swim more. Facilities were good. Lunch was delicious 😋
H. P.
I like the Lido, though it has to be said that a recent lunch was an unusual disappointment in terms of the cooking, a one-off I hope. But the restaurant is a lovely city oasis, and the staff are friendly.
T. P.
It’s lovely BUT paying £3 for a towel when you’ve already bought a swim and dine spa package is a bit much and you should really just let people use your WiFi without filling up their inbox for ‘marketing purposes’.
H. B.
Fantastic pregnancy massage at 36 weeks pregnant. Worked wonders on my aches and pains. The most relaxed I've felt in weeks. Lunch afterwards was top quality as always.
m. a.
Had a fabulous massage - best I've had in a long time. Lovely staff. Nice relaxation area and tea afterwards too.
B. A. O.
Very expensive even for Clifton but its in a great spot and the food was full of flavour and colour. You can scrutinise the swimmers as you eat. Service was confident and attentive but if you miss the early doors you're paying between from 16 and 20 for a main and 7 for a starter which is too much.
I had a very nice Harissa Goat curry which tasted great but not much better than a lamb curry from my favourite curry house in south Bristol and yet I paid 16 pounds. It felt like London prices at a time when they should pursue tasty economical dishes like the Harbourside or the Canteen which never goes over 10 pounds. Early doors next time.
M. E.
Love going for the spa and food. Good for groups and birthdays upstairs. Tapas is good. Also good to book your swim during the week.
A. B.
Absolutely loved the bar food here. The bread was amazing and only £2. Lovely staff, great view. A little oasis in Clifton.
A. N.
One of the best experience in Bristol.
J. G.
Fantastic restaurant with very high quality food and beautiful restaurant. However the prices are consequently high to match! Swim and dine packages are a great way to experience the lido and restaurant at a better price.
d. r.
Very cool atmosphere. Some things a little expensive but then that's their style. Just b ready to pay for a little feeling of exclusivity and some waterside tapas out of the ordinary English locations.
M. A.
Lovely food and a beautiful place to be, especially in the sunshine.
Z. E.
A peaceful haven in the heart of Clifton. A perfect sun trap in the summer months. Welcoming staff and wonderful treatment rooms. Restaurant good, alot of waiting around.
E. B.
I love lidos and I love swimming, so what's not to love? Bristol Lido is very expensive, okay. The really annoying thing is the many many restrictions. If you're having lunch, you're only allowed to swim from 11am to 12.30pm. But children are only allowed between 9am and 11am. Can't make it for 11am? No, they are not flexible.
J. U.
They've got a really nice pool, great spa facilities, steam room and sauna, and the most amazing restaurant! What's not to like?!
S. C.
Great massage - very professional, thorough and relaxing. Highly recommend. Thanks Peter. Whole experience is very classy / tasteful
L. B.
Absolutely charming cafe looking out over the pool, serves many different drinks, and very tasty tapas. Upstairs is a more formal restaurant.
B. B.
Great set menu for £20. Love it here but our online booking didn't work. The lovely staff accommodated us nevertheless.
T. H.
pretty place
very nice starters but rather average main courses which were overpriced for what they were
T. W. (.
Very expensive for what it is, vegetarian options in the restaurant were pants, pool and sauna were over crowded and other guests were extremely rude. Staff were lovely and friendly though.
s. i.
So nice to go back and have swim and lovely lunch, love the place and the food.
S. D.
Lovely swimming pool and dining experience. Service was sometimes a little bit slow but generally all good.
E. G.
Lovely setting, great service and amazing food, just take Google with you as it is very international with ingredients! Seriously good visit though, highly recommended
B. M.
Fantastic day, food was of restaurant quality & the staff were really friendly & efficient. I can thoroughly recommend the Lido Spa for a relaxing & different experience 👍😊
L. W.
Great finger bowl.
K. O.
Beautiful lido with spa facilities. Massages great. Food is delicious. Only reason it's not 5 stars is service can be slow.
J. J.
Great for tea and cake, friendly staff. Price slightly above average, and vegan options could be better balanced nutritionally.
R. &. C.
Very calming environment 😌
D. G.
Fantastic day, food was lovely and everyone very helpful.
R. L.
Charming and slightly bizarre mix of food and recreation, great experience.
P. B.
Outdoor pool was slightly busy. Jacuzzi was always full. Lovely setting for a bite to eat...
W.
Quite luxurious, the open air pool is fantastic. The restaurant serve up some brilliant dishes too, and the view matches it all perfectly.

As a swimming member - at LIDO Bristol…..
I'm loving the "busy times chart", now available on Google Maps
It's Thursday today, and I'll be heading over to the luxury, of a near empty pool at between 4-5pm.
>
P.S.
Does anybody know??…. Now that Thames LIDO is coming on stream soon, in Reading - Will there be some discounted, reciprocal membership arrangements?

Me and my mum never have been disappointed when we come on the 'Swim and lunch' package. A good place to unwind from the stresses of city life.
