Disappointed with tonight’s meal. Other party members meals were spot on. Been coming here for years. Wondered if they had changed owners . Fed back the poor quality of meal (full of grease (ghee) and lack of sauce and flavour ) but no apology. Unusual for this place so will consider giving another try.

I had a meal at the Raj Pavilliansthis evening with a few mates. Firstly, what a lovely, smart place with excellent, modern decor. The chap that served us was the most polite person you could wish to meet and nothing was too much trouble. The food is without doubt the best quality Indian food I have ever tasted and I told him so. It was also very reasonably priced (poppadoms/dips, main meat dish, rice, side and nann for £20 per head)& I never write reviews but I really thought this place deserved it so here I am ! P.s. an added bonus is its a bring your own on the booze 😁 Fantastic ! Highly recommenced 👍

Another amazing meal, my wife had a prawn kashmir with banana and lychee and I had an excellent fish patia (probably spelt wrong) food and service outstanding and would recommend. Its a byo restaurant and an off-licence is a couple of doors away. It's a great place with a relaxed atmosphere.

Food was fantastic and service was so attentive and lovely. We are visiting for the week and are already considering coming back at the end of the week. Lamb curry with olives and feta and a bhuna sauce was fantastic, as was all of the other food. Environment is lovely with beautiful and the family have been here for over 45 years. It's bring your own booze which is great and keeps the price really reasonable! I cannot recommend enough!!

The Raj Pav is small enough to feel intimate, but big enough to host groups. A stone's throw from The Inn on The Green makes it ideal for a work's night out. Food is always good. Recently it became BYO, but with an off licence practically next-door, this is no problem at all. Top place, highly recommended.

Last day of the "Eat out to Help Out" and it was packed, but service was very good, the food excellent. Very highly recommend. Had Fish Saag and Chicken Jalfrezi with Tarka Dhal and pilau rice. All were very tasty and different flavours. The jalfrezi was moderately hot but not over the top, the fish dish much milder while still having a lot of flavour. Tarka dhal more flavoursome them often the case. Staff incredibly busy but managed well. Wish them well now that the "Eat out to Help Out" is over, we will be back.

Used to be better. Treated a few mates to a curry explaining memory’s of past. Restaurant is clean tidy and modern. Food isn’t how I remembered it tho texture and taste was that of a home cooked jarred curry. That said was still a good night out.

Great service, lovely atmosphere, Indian music playing in the background. Very helpful waiters - polite and efficient. Would definitely recommend a visit! Wheel chair friendly access and wc for disabled persons.

We went twice In a week. The 1st time was a weds night during the government scheme.Eat out to help out. No social distancing , slow service and very noisy.but food was very good. We then went on a friday night and it was totally different. Only half full, good service and again good food and you could hear yourself speak.

Went in for a mid week meal on the "Eat out to Help Out" and despite it being very hot, (the weather, not the food!) me and my family had a fantastic time. Staff were quick to server, friendly and made some really good recommendations. Our Eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so that's lunch for tomorrow sorted! Really enjoyed the Onion Baji's and the Veggie Balti. Its BYOB for alcohol, which is fine as there is a COOP up the road and a little shop a few doors down. Thanks for a great dinner!

Brilliant curry. But music far too loud. Had to keep asking each other what they said! Apart from that, it's very clean and well kept. Did get confused with the front door as the one in the main window is an emergency one. U have to go round the corner. But that does make the place much warmer and people don't keep going past u. I had lamb tikka masala with mushroom rice. Really good. We were nearly first in as it opened at 6pm on a Thursday. And the popadoms were warm and fresh and came with the pickles, which were a generous portion. My friend had a sizzling prawn dish and said it was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly. The main door opens up onto the counter, and u are either directed to the take away sitting area on the right, or in to the main restaurant on the left. It was very busy which is a good sign. So i guess u would have to book on a normally busy night. As I said the only problem was the music!

Damn good curry. Good service and turned around our table of nearly 30 pretty efficiently (in and out in not much more than a couple of hours). I don't see us going to a different curry house any time soon. Just watch out if you're used to the lame, bland stuff you get from a cheap takeaway places... These guys' food has serious flavour, but when they says it's hot, it's actually properly hot (ask the waiters for recommendations if you aren't sure).

Overall a bit hot and miss, latest order was cold and did not include the full order unfortunately, they forgot the onion bhaji which was disappointing, overall feel quality generally does not match the price paid. Edit: They have responded and corrected the issue which is great!

I go the Raj with friends once every 6 weeks. We are always greeted warmly. It's a relaxed environment and the team are always up for a giggle. I can't fault the food, despite arriving half cut from the Inn on the Green, I always enjoy the dishes I have. The prices are reasonable, the facilities are clean. The wine list is fairly comprehensive and the couple of bottles I have are always nicely chilled. I would definitely recommend the Raj and the proof is in its popularity, it's always busy on the weekend. Booking essential.

Got a takeaway recently, food was excellent. Obviously fresh, poppadoms crispy and light. Mixed grill was good, if a bit expensive for portion size. Got a drink whilst waiting for food......£4.95 for a pint of kingfisher is extortion !!!! Staff were friendly

Jeff and I have been coming here for years (since Jeff was a youngster!) and they never fail to impress. How good they are is down to it being a great family business. I love going in to see them all. They are all very respectful and HONEST it makes me laugh when i see a disgruntled worker write a review thats NOT honesty! The food and service are both 5 star and we have tried many Indian restaurants but this one is one of the very best!! Try and go midweek or definitely ring and book so you won't be disappointed they get very busy!!

We have been out to a lot of Indian restaurants living just north of Birmingham this has to be the best curry we have had for a long time pathia was full of flavour with perfectly cook rice and freshly cooked naan. The food was very good but the service was all wrong. The guy at the counter looked us up and down when we arrived, I'm guessing cause I was wearing work trousers and my friend had boots on, thought was very rude. During the meal the waiters must have checked on us about twenty times, asking if the food was okay, more drinks, asking again and again if we had finished. Then when they took our plates, no one would come over to give us the bill! To top it off, I didn't see one smile between them. This place takes itself way too seriously. It's Filton, not Clifton!

Well what do I say? I phoned these guys at 11pm from the Bristol Children’s Hospital as we needed a takeaway after a tiring day with a sick baby girl. They bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and that they wanted to serve us. They said they’d be open and when I arrived their first concern was my baby, and it was genuine. Needless to say the food was great too so I feel very thankful and grateful for such warmth kindness and professionalism. We’re regulars now!

I've been to this restaurant a number of times and always enjoyed the ambience, food and courteous service. I have never experienced poor service and find the pricing of the meal/drinks perfectly acceptable. I would personally recommend the curried lamb shank.... it is to die for.
