Came here for birthday dinner cos of the reviews.
Lovely place and great welcome. Unfortunately none of the main course specials were available so I had to reorder. We had a combined seafood starter, fish and chips, curried mussels and seafood spaghetti plus a bottle of white wine and water.
The quality and quantity was very good. The cost was just over £100 for 3 of us, so not cheap, but very good

Had a fantastic birthday meal here. Friendly and attentive staff, speedy service & truly delicious food. Had squid to start (crispy, not chewy & plentiful) followed by the white fish & prawn curry (large chunks of fish, thick flavoursome curry sauce & well cooked rice). Definitely one of the best curries I have ever eaten! Didn’t have room for pudding but will be back very soon. It’s not the cheapest of restaurants but is not over-priced and is worth every single penny.

What a great place to have fish and chips whilst the view was amazing overlooking the harbour. The staff could not of been more pleasant. Dad had the fish and chips and he loved it! My sister also had the same stating it was cooked to perfection. I had the bruscheta bursting with flavours and the chips were the real thing! What a great little find.

So much more than a fish and chip place. Friendly staff, excellent specials, accurate cooking.
Great bread too (we assume from the bakery next door)

Very tasty seafood. Polite, nice and very helpful waitress.
Music could be a bit fresher :)
Over all 5stars experience.

Searock Restaurant has a nice view. 🌊🦀It has friendly staff and delicious food! I would definitely recommend! We had a delicious salmon, squid, fish and chips and they were all delicious! Incredibly fast service. Also Searock is a child friendly restaurant, there were activities for kids, coloring books and toys, our kids had a lot of fun, also they ate ice-cream and the ice cream 🍦 was very delicious!😋

I visited Searock on my first night of a 2 week course in Portishead. The food was amazing - I had seafood spaghetti (pictured). The prices were reasonable and the service excellent. I returned 3 further times during my stay, thereafter choosing meals from the specials board. Each time the food was of high quality and the service was prompt and friendly from all of the staff. You can sit inside or out and the view of the marina is super. They have a traditional fish and chips menu too and from what I could see from meals other diners were eating, it was very tasty. I’d highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing fish and chips, delicious prawns! Beautiful experience and Olya is very nice and sweet. We will be back soon!

Fabulous seafood restaurant with a take away alongside. Great atmosphere with lovely varied menu. Daily specials on the boards both inside and out add interest. Busy and buzzing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Modern/industrial decor, bright and spacious with an interesting view over the marina and the boats moored there. Food was well cooked, well presented and delicious.

There is a reason why it's top rated seafood restaurant..... The food is fabulous. One of the places where the food tastes as good as it looks. Starters are good portions and it's at great location. Take away available with ice creams

Great service and food, in great surroundings and position. Looking straight onto the Marina makes this a perfect spot for food and drink. The chef knows his stuff!

Good cod and chips, although the calamari wasn't the usual rings, it was quite tasty if a bit oily. Really nice chilli mayo

Absolutely amazing honest seafood feast!! Some of the best seafood we have had this side of the Mediterranean Coast, from amazing Octopus Stew to the best ever whitebait. Staff were extra welcoming and really friendly. If you iobyl get the chance to eat in one restaurant when visiting Portishead, this is the one!!!

Really tasty fish and chips, had the small cod and chips meal deal and it was plenty! Cooked to order and worth the wait.

We went to Portishead for the first time yesterday and found this really nice and friendly place: Searock.
Lunch for 3 people it cost around 80 pounds
Whitebait for starter and to share. Very good portion.
Mains:
Thai style mussels, very tasty sauce with ginger and chili and well cooked.
White fish and prawn curry, delicious curry sauce (not spicy which was much appreciated) served with wild black rice well balanced of flavours.
Prawns, chips, salad, peas, the perfect and healthy combination for our little one.
Highly recommended this place for a good meal and well service.
Family friendly.
Plus the toilets where really clean (with kids is a must)

Always great choice on the menu and the quality of the food never disappoints. The staff are friendly and attentive, and on this visit the young members of staff were exceptional especially Jack who even though we were the last customers of the evening was caring and entertaining until the end of our great experience. This wasn't our first visit and certainly won't be our last.

I am a regular customer for there take away service. Fish and chips is our first choice the fish is always good but I find the chips a bit hidden mis. Most off the time it's under cooked the last time a week ago the chips was cold when I came home. It's a shame in the very beginning off there business opening the fish and chips was perfect I am not sure what's changed.

Enjoyable visit. Great fish and chips looking out to the harbour. Really great service from a lovely young waitress who was very attentive and hard working.
Sorry about my sailing gloves and hat in the photograph!
I'll be back soon.

Agree with comments that the chips can be a little hit and miss but my mum and dad say that about their local chippy. Recently the chips have been lush! We had 2 lots of medium sized cheesy chips and a battered sausage each (best battered sausage ever!) £13. Definitely not a rip of IMO. I couldn't finish all my chips as too many. Great location. Staff friendly.

Fish and chips excellent, party of 7 all thoroughly enjoyed the food (monkfish linguine and lobster tortellini special were also highly praised). Service was also really good. Planning to revisit very soon. Probably the best restaurant in Portishead, even though it's - sort of - a chippy.

Are here with some colleagues last week and really appreciated the hospitality and good food. Visiting from the US I was looking forward to a good fish and chips experience and I got one. Do wish there were better drink options but all was well

Great restaurant! A local had described it as a fish & chip shop -it's so much more than that! This is a lovely seafood restaurant. We had difficulty choosing what to have, decided on meditteranean fish soup, skewers with Canarian spicy sauce (both pictured), and squid (scoffed before remembering to take a pic!) all from the specials board. Had to order extra bread to mop up the delicious sauces. All top class and very filling. We received a very warm welcome from the team and the setting is very peaceful overlooking the marina. Pricing is good value for the quality of meal, and there's also some good choices of wine to accompany the menu. Highly recommend!

This is the best fish and chips in Portishead . I would recommend the chicken burger and chips with spicy mayo. A special mention to Jim and Jill always helpful staff and nothing is ever too much. Always make me feel welcome. Highly recommend Sea Rock Portishead. Thank you.

We come here very often. The food is great and the staff are really attentive and fun. Jack deserves a special mention as he seems to be the one who serves us, or gets the short straw :-)). Keep it up Searock!!

I thought it was very expensive for what we had - I had mussels and chips and my partner had seafood pasta. We both had a glass of rosé. We paid over £50. I would definitely return for fish and chips but a la carte seems off the chart. Food quality was good but I was surprised that instead of French fries with my mussels I received thick chips.

Great fish and chips and with an amazing view of the marina.

Fabulous late lunch with a view!
We were visiting UWE for their open day with our teenage son and wanted to have a spot of late lunch somewhere near the water, I found SeaRock on Tripadvisor and thought we'd take a look. Parking at Portishead Marina was easy with plenty of spaces in the road outside. A quick walk across the lock gate and we were there!
The restaurant was about half full and it was a beautiful sunny day with all of the outside tables occupied. There was a pleasant atmosphere and everyone seemed to be enjoying the sunny day. Once inside, we were greeted warmly and offered the choice of siting anywhere.
The menu offered a great variety of dishes and there was also a 'specials' board with more choice. My wife and I chose the fish and chips whilst our son chose the squid starter and their cheeseburger for mains.
The starter arrived within a few minutes and although when ordering we thought it seemed quite expensive, the portion was very large and easily enough for two. It was perfectly cooked and served with a fresh salad, a big lemon wedge and sauce. Both thoroughly enjoyed it whilst gazing out over the lovely boats in the marina.
The mains soon arrived and again, portions were generous and everything was beautifully presented on the plate. The fish and batter wasn't greasy at all and the chips were crispy and delicious. My son was particularly impressed with the cheeseburger as it was moist and cooked just right, served in a brioche bun with chips and a tasty salad. Also noted was the Heinz ketchup and Hellmans mayonnaise and tartare sauce in little bottles - much classier than fumbling with tiny sachets of watery cash & carry own-brand stuff!
The staff and service were particularly friendly and it was a pleasure to find a restaurant in a marina that isn't part of a chain and where the owners and staff genuinely care about your experience.
We didn't try a dessert although on the way out past the selection of ice creams I did regret my decision!
It cost just under £70 for the three of us which isn't exactly cheap but for the marina view, the quality of the food and the friendly service it was well worth it and it's certainly no more expensive than any marina restaurants I've visited on the South coast where I do my boating from.
I'd certainly recommend SeaRock to anyone visiting Bristol / Portishead and wish the restaurant every success in the future.

Stuffed!!
Date night at SeaRock Sea Food Restaurant and Fish&Chip takeaway last night. Food was amazing. So amazing we didn’t take a snap of the main as just dived in but wow.
The place was flowing both customers for take away and restaurant. All staff inc the chefs said hello. Jim Dempsey was our host directly. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer chap.
Service was swift, not rushed at all. I’m not a fish expert but Jim was able to explain what’s what. Lots of options. He was also able to adapt the meal to suit any requirements. That how fresh this place is.
Food was hot, cooked directly to order and as you see presentation was perfect. Everything was spotless. Drinks nice and cold.
I’ve never enjoyed a meal fully. I didn’t feel bloated or heavy even after such a dessert.
Fantastic staff, venue and food. Highly recommended.
Thank you for an amazing meal. Will be back for our next date night.
