Very impressed, Food was spot on, service was alright ( no check back but you do get a smile, timing between starter and main was good, my starter was the prawns in a rich creamy tomato sauce and boy did it hit the spot, followed by the mixed lamb and chicken skewers with yogurt :- well worth every penny, portion size was good and every bite just got better and better, the rice that was served with was perfectly cooked, the ambience and atmosphere just right perfect for a family meal, very comfy seating and nice decor, just need to brush up on the customer service.

We frequently visit this lovely restaurant. Last night was no exception. My husband, son, daughter in law and I were impressed by the friendliness and attentiveness of the waiting staff. The quality of the food, the ambiance created by well chosen background music. The manner in which the staff addressed my husband's meal was appreciated. I highly recommend this restaurant. I could literally order anything from their superb menu!

If I were to make a comparison between the Wusar restaurant and the Lona restaurant, I would prefer Lona. It is my personal opinion and I explain why: At the level of cleanliness in Wusar I would give 8 points out of 10 and Lona 7 points out of 10. The price for the same menu at Lona is 50 percent cheaper and the level of cooking is better and tastier . One difference would be the fact that if you go with friends and want to serve a beer or other alcoholic drinks you can only do it at Wusar because Lona does not serve alcoholic drinks. I recently made this visit with my children and I kept their opinion in this way. I emphasize it is my personal opinion. Success for the Wusar restaurant in the future in serving customers and improving the quality of the rating. Thank you.

What an amazing restaurant!! Incredible food...a medley of taste...generous portions and nicely presented. Lovely authentic decor and very friendly and pleasant staff. Perfect atmosphere for a lovely lunch, non intrusive Turkish music in the background. We had complementary entrees and complementary dessert. The lamb shank so tender it fell from the bone. Delicious humus and stuffed bay leaves. Chicken beautifully cooked, rice and couscous wonderfully flavoured. Yusuf, the waiter, was delightful and attentive. Very reasonable prices and we will definitely be returning!!!

The place is spotless. The level of service is superb. The staff genuinely cared, was friendly and efficient, spotting when we run out of drinks and offering us the option of more. Also they treat us with some olives and sweet on the house. The price was also good, we found it even cheap for the excellent quality of service and food we received. We were happy to leave top, which they did not put in the receipt as discretionary (which I hate). The waitress recommendation was simply perfect. We will definitely go there again. The food was delicious, we didn't have to wait more than 20 min to have all our food served. One of the best restaurants experience I've had so far in my three years living in Bristol.

I have had a nice dinner, I appreciate a lot of their tipical traditional food, A Turkish friend of mine, brings us in there, we liked most of the dishes, Yes it's important reservation the table earlier.. About the staff, the senior manager treated us like a guest (may be because we had a Turkish in our group 😅✌️) Most the waiter their are professional but seriously not smiling. Although, the only waitress in the staff was really professional, so cordial smiled, picked me up, friendly Is a great value in the team in their restaurant.

Food here was really nice, meats were very tasty and tender. And I personally feel the portions sizes were generous. In the photo we have ordered the chicken la cream & the lamb shish with yoghurt. The only negative is that I felt we wait quite long for our food and had to call over a waiter about the wait, but the restaurant was busy so I understand this might have had a part to play. Even though I had to wait longer than I'd expect I would still visit again.

Me and three friends had the Wusar sharing plate special. It was all absolutely delicious, we all are big eaters but didn't leave hungry. Staff were warm and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

One vegan, one carnivore, both served excellent food. Lovely lambs liver with a massive Greek salad and a hefty portion of falafel with couscous, rice and salad. Both came with bread and chili sauce and yogurt and olives. The service was great, really friendly and like they valued you and wanted you to enjoy yourselves and eat good food! We will be back!

Amazing food at Wusar and excellent service from our waitress yesterday. We arrived quite late, the staff were so welcoming and gave us the pick of all seats in the restaurant. The waitress made sure nothing was forgotten and that I had everything I needed during the meal. Excellent service indeed. Food from the grill is perfectly presented, juicy cuts of quality meat and complimentary sides that work so well with the mains. You HAVE to try the baba ganoush from here, best I’ve tried in a long time. Lots of veggie options too. Can’t wait to go again.

Our first visit with friends having passed by and seen it from the car heading down Gloucester Road. Couldn't decide what to order so went with Wusar 2, a meze style "all in" combination of meats, salads and the accompanying sides of Baba ganoush, Hummus etc... DELICIOUS! We wiped the plates and bowls clean and washed down with a fabulous Merlot. Staff friendly and well priced at £30 each for 4.

Wusar is one of Bristol’s best new restaurants, serving all sorts of delicious Turkish dishes. The food is amazing, down to the finest detail: perfectly cooked fish and meat recipes come with elaborate and richly flavoured side salads, including a beautifully sweet red cabbage coleslaw. Based on visits so far I would especially recommend the kulbasti and sea bream, as well as the sucuk (halal sausage) starter. The staff and service are wonderful. While other reviewers have had to wait for their food to arrive, we have found the service fairly quick. But we would have been happy to wait as long as it takes to prepare such outstanding food. Many thanks to Wusar for some wonderful meals out.

Excellent venue ... great service fantastic food nice atmosphere . This was a small family birthday celebration .and a good time was had by all . I would totally recommend this place to anyone who has a taste for Turkish food . The only downside is the venues location . It is in an area where parking your car can be very difficult . I would recommend using a Taxi service to travel to this venue if you don't live within walking distance . But that being said .. Ambience is really good. Taste and food was not bad. The place had a long waiting time due to eat-out-to-help-out. Quantity of the platter is a definite NO-NO. We ordered WUSAR2 platter which according to their menu was for 4 to 5 people but it was hardly for 2 people. The quantity as well as quality of mix grill for an individual was good. When we gave the feedback regarding the quantity of the WUSAR2 platter they were kind enough to remove 20 pounds from the bill.

We came for lunch as a family of four. The starters were nice, we had the baba ganoush and sujuck with halloumi. The bread was also lovely and fresh. However the mains were not nice and we didn’t enjoy them. We ordered the Adana kofta and the mixed grill, but the meat was tough and overcooked. The rice/couscous salad lacked flavour and tasted old. I don’t know if they were having a bad day but the food was not near the standard I am used to at Turkish restaurants. Also some of the staff are rude, you need to provide some training on how to treat your customers.

This place was a lucky find for me, it is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere with the traditional music and family run business feel to it really makes you think you are on holiday somewhere warm. The food was well cooked and the portions far exceeded my expectations all from a menu that provided a excellent selection. Freshly cooked bread, olives and dips arrive on the table with no cost. The price is very reasonable considering the quality and volume of the food, the choice of drinks is not massive but certainly enough to cover most preferences. I will certainly be returning here.

I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks and will be coming back again. We've tried the sea breem, the chicken and lamb mixed sish, and also the captains mixed sea food plate. The portions are huge, you won't be dissatisfied, the food is delicious and the seevers are really friendly. It has a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere and feels as if your on holiday once the food arrives. I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

Travelled 30 miles for these guys after seeing a promo on Facebook, so thought why not give them a try. It was worth the travel, enjoyed it thoroughly. Their bread and dips with olives were amazing, which were on the house. Had a platter which was very nice. The meats were cooked to perfection with them still being juicy. The only down side was they didn't have any donar. Decor and atmosphere is great, very comfortable being there. Staff were very friendly too. Thank you

Delicious meaty dishes, attentive and friendly service that wasn't over the top. A little on the pricey side for a new place which is the only thing that let it down for me. We had adana kofte (minced lamb on skewers), fries, Turkish bread, chilli sauce, white dip, cous cous, Coke Zero and blue lagoon mocktail. adana kofta was on point as well as the fries (slightly older oil which you can tell by the yellow colour, but the taste and quality of the fries were excellent), amazing thin fresh Turkish bread with some kind of kebab spice flavouring (was awesome watching the Chef prepare it too from the open kitchen), nice white dip (could only have a small amount as I am lactose intolerant), the best Turkish chilli sauce, expected Coke Zero which fills up their large glass, and blue lagoon mocktail (non-alcohol) which according to my fellow diner tastes like a lemony sprite and was very good. Only downside was the cous cous which according to my fellow diner did not taste as fresh as the last few times we have visited. All in all, freshness, flavour, portion size, value (£41 only!), service (the waitress was really attentive and they have a little button on the table to call the waitress over which is such a handy and polite way, both ways, of requesting and receiving service), was all excellent. I wish I could have given it five stars (would definitely have given it 4 and a 1/2 if the option was available), just the cous cous held it back. Otherwise, I hope management takes this review well as I believe they will receive many 5*'s! Would definitely recommend to fellow eaters visiting Bristol.
