Previously only ever ordered online due to Covid. Whilst in town recently, we popped in for some food. It didn't let us down. Prices are decent for what we ordered, and they do a nice spread of beers and lagers from local brewers like Tiny Rebel. The order was for three burgers and risemary chips (Honest, Tribute and Cheddar), with a side portion of onion rings and seasonal slaw. Drinks were a pint of Burger beer, homemade lemonade and a Karma cola. As we attended just after opening time, we were quickly seated and within 15 minutes had ordered drinks and food. Drinks followed quickly as did the food, which was hot and filling. Total for everything came to just over £60, which includes a service charge.

I discovered honest burger when hunting for best burgers in London around 10 years ago. It was in Oxford Street and moved to my tip three after the first bite. This one in Cardiff is as good. Fresh meat and cooked to perfection as you can see in the pictures. They will make it welldone if you ask for it but it's a crime to fully cook meat if you ask me. Don't forget to warm up with their nice cinnamon whisky shot The fries and other sides are normal, but burgers are must try

Honestly pardon the pun, these are the best burgers you will find in Cardiff. Made with great quality mince and so so juicy.The chips are cooked to perfection and added rosemary which is always nice. I always double mine up and end up in a food coma All day. It must be so hard to work there and just have to look at all the amazing food there. Whenever I’m in Cardiff I will always go here purely because they are the best burgers and secondly because the service is always so good. Staff are always friendly and nice.

Really good burgers - moist and cooked a perfect medium! Fries were very good, just not the biggest fan of rosemary (fries automatically came seasoned like this). Really enjoyed the homemade lemonade. Customer service was friendly and welcoming.

Great place. Friendly and welcoming staff, very helpful with changes to the menu. Being gluten and dairy free makes eating out tricky and this place is very accommodating! It's the first place I found to serve gf onion rings! Portions are generous and food tastes great. Would definitely recommend! To those who hate looking for the bathroom in a new place: follow the sign downstairs and just keep going! Don't mind the 'staff only doors', just keep going and you'll find it round the corner. Mens and ladies are both in the same room :)

Just ordered a cheeky payday lunch to my office, and I was VERY impressed, as were my colleagues -I had the September special Buffalo Blue burger and it was absolutely delicious... Better than Grazing shed.. Maybe on par with Got Beef or dare I say perhaps better! Beef patty was 😘👌 The pickles in the burger were particularly good and the sauces (ranch mayo & buffalo sauce) were delicious! Some other reviews said they weren't fussed on the chips, but i personally enjoyed them - they were super crispy and I loved the rosemary salt, even had some juicy rich beef gravy for dipping thrown in! I will have to come back for a date night with the Husband and sit in, as I am feeling slightly guilty for eating a good burger without him 😂🍔 only slightly...

A well executed tasty experience. Keeping the menu simple and with a local special means you won't spend ages deliberating. Sides offer the opportunity to personalise and there are non-meat options too. Local beer from Tiny Rebel as well the offerings you'd expect from a typical bar. Ticks all the boxes for me and it's a chain I visit occasionally in other cities too.

The veggie burger was a dream! The double up of course happened. The onion rings are almost as big as my head, and the fries felt like an up market version of fast food, a little overseasoned for my taste, but still delicious. Really nice well made burgers accompanied with a decent selection of craft beers available. Not a massive fan of the onion rings ( really greasy) or the chips (over seasoned with rosemary) for my personal tastes but the main is good enough for it not to matter. Worth it. With a burger of the minth adding variety which is nice. Also vege versions are available.

Been meaning to try honest burgers forever but never got into town for it. Decided on a late night takeaway one night instead. Ordered a kids meal and as you can see it's more than enough to feed an adult! Had a side of coleslaw too. Burger was absolutely lovely, had a chicken burger. Felt similar to grazing shed just with a few less toppings. Very fresh and moist chicken. Unfortunately left most of the fries as thought they were a bit rubbish. Very thick cut which was fine, but so greasy and crispy there was no potato inside them, it was just like a greasy crispy skin. Coleslaw was ok, nothing to write to home about. Nothing wrong with service at all, prices very fair. Just not for me.

Nice place, we didn't have to queue for a table. We choose to eat here as they were recommended for their gluten free options (wife is coeliac) Ordered Chilli burger, buffalo wings & onion rings Burger: really good, great tasting and by far the best gluten free bun I've tried. There was enough flavouring of the hot sauce to give it a kick but wasn't overpowering. Onion rings: The wife has been craving gluten free onion rings for a while and these did not disappoint. Buffalo Wings: unfortunately we would not order these again, they arrived covered in a green sauce which ruined them for us. There were plenty of wings but we were not fond of the sauce, I think that it should have been served in a separate bowl that I could be used to dip and try. Lastly, the food was great with not a long wait from ordering to food arriving at table. I was a bit shocked to pay £2.50 for a can of room temperature coke, no glass, no ice, just a can and a straw. Value wise, the food is worth it but the drinks are a bit pricey.

Tried the vegan burger this time with the apple wood vegan smoked streaky bacon. Very good attempt at a vegan burger. Burger just seemed to lack flavour while I loved the bacon. Not keen on the fatter fries myself as they seemed soggy. Will revisit sometime in the future.

Their food is fantastic, but their service is disarmingly good. The deliveroo driver took my food to the wrong address (despite incredibly clear instructions), shouted at me down the phone, and then just left with my food. Honest burgers made sure a replacement got to me ASAP, got me a refund, and even threw in some extras. It wasn't even their fault but deliveroos and they still did this!

Best burgers in Cardiff. The vegan burgers was great and I'm not even a vegan! The onion rings were just Yum, Yum!!! I wish they did American Style milkhakes, mind you I would put on so much weight if they did. You do pay much more than you would in Mcdonalds or Five Guys, but then what do you expect. The food here is and tastes amazing. When did you last say that about Mcdonalds. Great food!!

It might be the lockdown easing talking but this double California burger with rosemary fries were amazing. Asked for Medium and that's what I received, burger was juicy with a slight char on the outside, my kind of burger. Didnt get the full sit down experience but the Manager who served us was very nice and helpful, food was ready in 20mins or so but that's expected as there was four of us. Definitely recommend.

Just bought an honest burger for takeaway. Asked for no onions or onion relish as I'm hugely allergic. When order given to me, I checked again with server and assured no onions. Back at my hotel room, guess what, it's slavered with onion relish! Am unable to eat 😬 Have just returned the burger and the staff couldn't have been more apologetic or helpful. They have replaced the burger and refunded me my money! 😊

I AM SO ANNOYED! Every burger 🍔 in the world has now been ruined for me. I will never be able to eat at McDonald's ever again! All other burgers are now dead to me. One bite of the burger and I was in Nivana. I actually felt guilty for how much pleasure I had outside the context of marriage 😆 I actually had to prepare myself to take each bite so I could fully appreciate it! And when it was done, I was done. It wasn't because I was so stuffed I couldn't eat any more (although I was very full), but because my pallet was just done, it was so perfectly content. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and very accommodating to my wife's dietary needs. Service was a little bit on the slow side but not awful, but then we were surprised by a discount at the end to apologise for it. Although the food more then made up for the wait, the gesture really made me leave feeling just blown away by the incredible dining experience! We will be going again!

Burgers were absolutely amazing! Chips were delightful! We had one chicken and the local Cardiff burger, best chicken burger I've eaten in a burger restaurant actually tasty chicken and sooo tender!! Beef was delicious so juicy, but not watery, you could eat the patty with no toppings and be perfectly happy, I wouldn't recommend this though, the toppings were amazing! I would recommend this place, and have done, to anyone looking for a casual meal.

Popped into Honest for lunch while visiting Cardiff. I was not disappointed! Exactly the same quality as in London. Service was made that much better from Layla and Lisa, both a true credit to the cardiff branch with their friendly attitudes and welcoming smiles. Also the only Honest burgers where I was welcomed by the kitchen team as I walked to my table. I hope everyone visits and enjoy as much as I did.

I have been to Honest Burger three times since its opening and each time have had the pleasure of being served by Layla, who is the most enthusiastic, friendly and just downright great waitress you could ever want in a restaurant! Although I have to say, every member of staff are also always very vibrant in their serving manner and seem genuinely happy to be there which is refreshing in a restaurant. The food is also delicious, especially the 'Cardiff' and 'Karma' burgers, and accompanying rosemary chips are something a bit different but I'm hooked! A wonderful addition to Cardiff!

Fantastic burgers. They might taking the position of best burger in Cardiff, they're at least tied with Grazing Shed. Staff are all super friendly and happy to answer any questions about food and drink, however it take over 40 minutes from ordering to actually getting our food. Recently, they re-opened for take-away so I ordered from them on deliveroo and they didn't disappoint. At first, the order arrived with a mistake, but they re-made it, compensated with a little bonus and added a short note from staff.
