Best fish and chip place in Colchester beyond a doubt. Jonny gives great customer service and his staff are great. Also do gluten free batter which is actually really really nice! And no extra charge for it unlike most places, I really appreciate this. Thank you so much.

Excellent business system. Extremely high standards in the kitchen Well lit, clean, good oil, great quality of the chips and burgers, EACH time I visit. I’ve worked in the catering industry, in 4-5star establishments. It takes years to get this good. Good system, starts with the manager. Easy to start letting standards slip. It hasn’t here, it’s very high Keep it up, everyone’s watching! Only as good as your last meal. Order by the app, it’s efficient.

The food was a little over done. I had chips, cod, savaloy, spring roll and a pot of curry sauce. It wasn't the best. But it wasn't the worst either. Last time we had it, it was much better. So maybe it was more who was working at the time then the actual food itself.

My husband, daughter and I tripped over this gem of a place whilst visiting Colchester. The chips we had were the best chips I have ever had. Although we live in Ipswich, I will happily drive all the way to this chippy just to have a chippy tea. Absolutely fantastic

Came in to try out as just moved to the area. Walked in and staff seemed a bit stunned and took a few moments before I was served. Ordered and paid and waited sometime for my order. Came home to find the portion size wasn't all that great and the chips looked like they had been re heated.
