Buttermilk fried chicken highly recommended as tender and tasty with broccoli. Dirty burger brisket excellent quality with gherkin salad jam. Drinks nice too. Ambience laid back casual, not particularly busy on a Wednesday evening. Good quick service. Will comeback.

The restaurant was clean and had an upscale feel to it. Waited a little bit too long to be seated. There was a, "Wait here to be seated" sign. Then to be told to order at the bar or via the app. There were two identical Tuesday Tapas pick 3 with wine and an English Breakfast. Unfortunately, they didn't have their house white wine. Having seafood and chicken in the tapas creates a natural palette issue. To their credit, the food was enjoyable. Full of flavor. The chicken bites are served with a side of sauce and not cooked or coated in the sauce. Therefore, don't be afraid of ordering a flavor that you may not like. My guest that had the English was satisfied and cleaned the plate with the exception of a few mushrooms. I also ordered a separate virgin Mango Colada. They were very happy with the drink. Overall, the staff was great! The food was reasonably priced, when including the wine. Establishment was overall clean, and had clean accessible toilets. I feel that if ordering the 3x tapas with wine, which is only after 1700 (5pm), either eat before, or expect to eat bigger after. Prices on the menu are accurate as of 27th September 2022.

Really nice place with a brilliant menu and fun, eclectic decor. Had the tapas and it was delicious. Great for drinks but also families and dogs welcome. Also has a collection of board games available to play. The only thing that could have been clearer is that you have to find a table yourself and order at the bar. Got too use to table service during Covid.

Overall was a very pleasant experience. We were able to order our food online to the table - which is always a bonus. The food did not take too long at all. We ordered the mains and dessert - what can say other than it was delicious. The drinks menu is extensive and not too expensive. The venue had a very nice chilled vibe and the decor is unique but very much added to the atmosphere. Staff were incredibly friendly! Added bonus that the venue is dog friendly! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for somewhere to eat - whether it be for a quick bite or for lunch/dinner. Breakfast is served all day so no need to get up early!

Very disappointed with service for the first 5 minutes. Waited to be seated then got told to take any empty seat. There weren't any. We found a dirty table and sat there but when we asked 2 separate staff they rolled there eyes before cleaning the table but leaving food on the floor beneath us. To busy to care was the feeling I took. The queue to order was long as they only had 2 people serving on a busy Saturday. Clearly understaffed. Food was very good all in all and reasonable wait time. The only saving grace was the red haired supervisor lady who took my allergy related order. She was fantastic, very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. Saved an otherwise below average experience with her polite and caring nature, if only she could teach that to the other staff on duty they could be onto a winner.

went here for breakfast yesterday food was really good to the point i didn't eat anything else until around 7pm! really nice atmosphere and loved the idea it was dog friendly. being able to order from your table with the qr a nice touch. will look to go back for evening meal. the only reason its not 5 stars is that when you walk in it says to wait to be seating which we didn't actually need to do.

The place has a nice relaxed atmosphere, the food we had was tasty and we enjoyed it. The food is not expensive. I'd say the only slight problem is the speed of the service from the kitchen, you can see that the kitchen staff are working really hard I just don't think there wasn't enough of them the day we visited. Overall a good brunch experience, I'd go again.

We were a group of 5 and a small dog looking for some brunch and came across Romano lounge. We were welcomed well and seated. The team brought water for the dog with menus. We decided on a mix of full breakfasts, burgers and a fish finger Sandwich. We downloaded and ordered on the app. Drinks were brought speedily. Food followed. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was good, staff friendly, and good atmosphere. All in all a great experience. Would definitely return. Thank you Romano Lounge and well done..

Lovely staff, food excellent. My daughter and I both had a vegetarian breakfast, with (amongst other things) sweetcorn and haloumi fritters. Gorgeous! Coffee not bad either. Can't wait to go again when next in the area.

Very good experience at the Romano lounge. It took us some time to figure out the electronic ordering system, but once that was sorted, the drinks and food arrived fast. Service was friendly. The quality of the food is really good, for a correct price. Portions' sizes are decent. Recommended!

Went to this venue with a friend. Walked in and stood by a sign that said please wait to be seated, stood for a while eventually a staff member came over and told us we could sit wherever we wanted, if this is the case then take the sign down rather than making us wait. The cafe itself was clean and the atmosphere was good and warm a mix of modern cafe with old fashioned pub kind of feel. Ordering can be completed by a QR code on the table where you scan order and pay and your food and drinks are brought over to you. Found this service quick and easy although the personal service when items came over was lacking, no smile or conversation. Overall I would still recommend the cafe could be just got unlucky with a bad shift of staff.

Lovely place, friendly staff and amazing food. The dirty brisket burger was sublime with perfectly matched flavours and gravy mayo which is the perfect addition to an already amazing burger. The 3 tapas board with squid, whipped feta and honey and sweet corn and halloumi fritters was also perfectly cooked and flavourful. I would recommend Romano lounge to anyone and will definitely be returning for another burger .

Met up with a small group of friends at Romanos for a reunion. Large open space and relaxed ambience. Good selection of draft and bottled beers and ciders (we tried most of them) and very tasty tapas (ditto). But the exceptional thing about the Romano Lounge last night were the staff and their fabulous friendly service. Highly recommended

No table service at the moment because of covid, so you order at the bar. Food was tasty, however the chips were cooked for far to long and were burnt to a crisp. Also took my coffee back as it was luke warm when it arrived at the table. My advice always let them know you have issues with anything straight away, do not wait till your finished. If I had wanted overcooked chips I could have got them anywhere.

Visited yesterday and had mixed opinions of Romanos. The avacado on toast was nice for those that had it, as was the chicken burger. However, their fried breakfast was heavily over cooked, dry and tasteless as if it had been put in a keep warm oven for 15 minutes before being brought out. A real shame. Service is generally slow, and their order from table app wasn’t working so that was also frustrating. Back to the positives, the actual place itself has a lovely ambience and is a nice big space to eat and relax. Just a shame that some of the other important factors weren’t there. No doubt, some of these things will improve over time as they get more experience.

Food and drinks at good prices.. all food received was tasty and of fresh prep. App ordering was easy to navigate only moan was quite a lot of out of stock items which we were looking FWD to.

Having visited this place 2 weeks in a row for brunch, we really want it to be good but it is let down by things that could be easily rectified. First the good things: Service is excellent, staff are attentive and really warm, and food turns up very quickly. Ambience is good, nice atmosphere and decor, very pleasant on a Saturday afternoon to sit and people watch. Food is reasonable, full English passable although there are elements that could improve upon; sausages are a bit supermarkety, tomatoes are very bland. So down to 4 stars possibly. Although then disaster the ketchup is disgusting, like the nuclear orange stuff you get at the worst greasy spoon, definitely not quality ketchup. We raised this 2 weeks ago and said it spoiled the meal but the same last week!! Also by now you would expect proper salt (Maldon) and pepper grinder, however again it’s table salt and powdery black pepper, it’s time restaurants realised how much proper salt and pepper enhances the flavour of food and the reputation of a place. So down to 3 stars. Come on Romano Lounge, you can do better, up your game please. Cuckoo Dough and Sip and Tuck are way ahead of you providing quality ingredients and vibe.

Second time here, and the VIBE is BANGING. It’s so chill and relaxed even when it’s rammo on a Friday lunchtime. The food is out of this world and there is literally so much choice. They do amazing cocktails (I’d recommend the Cherry Bakewell) and have loads on draught and bottled beers/ciders. Their burgers are great also. Today I went for a twisted club sandwich and a side of onion rings and some squid for tapas. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough. It’s clearly very popular cause it’s always jam packed whenever we walk past. Staff are great and attentive as well..

Can’t rate this place more highly. Have frequented several other ‘lounge’ bars in the past so was delighted when this opened. Have been several times and have yet to be disappointed. Staff are friendly and always accommodating (we always have 2 dog’s in tow so really appreciate this during busy periods.) Food has always been hot and never takes overly long even on a busy Saturday. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. It’s always busy and deserves to do well. Highly recommend!

I have been to Romano Lounge a few times since it has opened, with friends, work colleagues and family and each time it has been brilliant - each time has been either Friday/Saturday early afternoon/evening. The drinks have been fantastic each time, and the staff are fantastic. Upon arrival they are very friendly and welcoming (which you don’t often get at the weekend at other venues!), the weekend of the 26th the lady with the red hair was very welcoming! Then throughout being at the venue they often come check if your table is ok, and if anything else is needed. They all are very smiley, and you feel as that nothing is a hassle! The whole venue is also very clean, and I have yet to see any mess. The atmosphere has been amazing each time we have been, and I have been thoroughly impressed each time I have gone. Definitely on my list every time I plan to go for food/drinks in town!

Looked rather posh from outside but was actually really relaxed. Test and trace app at entrance. Staff wore masks. Mixture of dining tables and chairs and settees and armchairs for those wanting to chill with a drink. Very varied menu. Liked the fact that they cater for those with food intolerances, and if yours isn't on the list you can tell them when you order. Also a good choice of drinks including cocktails, bottled beers and ciders and also beer on tap, plus soft drinks, juices (including for children) etc. They also have highchairs for toddlers.

Great decor and idea as it is very European but be wary of the substandard food. There was an amazing staff member helping us and she should get 5 stars as she was excellent. The reason I gave this place a 3 star is the following........ Today whilst I was at the Cafe the app was useless, I spent 20 mins on it and was informed by a member of staff it was happening all of the time!. After giving up with the Cafe app we asked a passing member of staff if we could order as the app was not working and she was quite blunt and told me she does not take table orders and go to the bar. We then ordered the 3 x tapas for £11 (don't bother) and the Ultimate chicken burger which was slightly burnt . £30 it cost us and there are better places to go.

Nice atmosphere, good location and I'm likely to visit again. New staff, so mistakes are sometimes made. Very large drinks menue and licensed bar. My preference is that I would like to see better sandwich selection at lunchtime. Never had brown bread both visits. Table service app only works some of the time. Orderd food at the Bar, but it did not get passed to the kitchen. This is frustrating and adds to customer waiting time. Prices are competitive and you can almost always find a seat. Food quality is very average. Manager was polite and professional, apologised for the delay. Compensated for inconvenience. I look forward to trying the alcoholic drinks menue.
