Had a great night on 12th may for my granddaughters birthday the food was so fresh and tasty , a lovely clean place to sit and relax and all the staff were so friendly . And a great choice of vegan food , mickey was so kind and an asset to your team thanks I shall be coming again x

The dumplings were nice - but needed some more salt for taste. It would be good if there was salt available on each table. Similar story with the veggie shrimps. Bao buns very good but the sauce was killing the taste a bit. I'd reappace.it to something milder.

Nice outside area at the front for couples to do some people watching and enjoy some sunshine. Food as always is fresh and tasty and comes out quick. Waiters were friendly and attentive. New menu is great. The wife and I nearly rolled out of there.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience on a busy Friday night. Service was slick with both food and drink. Our server Jessie was terrific. She was attentive, polite and her recommendations were not only thorough but also delicious. Ordered the Pork Hirata Buns, Bang Bang Caulifower, Chilli Squid and Chicken Gyoza to start. The Teriyaki Steak Soba (pictured) was fantastic. All washed down with a couple pints of Asahi. Highly recommend and will be returning. Thank you.

First visit to a Wagamama and we were pleased with the friendly and prompt service, the choice/range, general quality of food and the range of food. Only disappointment (bearing in mind it was our first visit) was that the waitress mixed up/ mis-described two of the dishes ordered so they were served to the wrong diners, one of whom is a vegetarian and ended up with the real squid and the other with the veggie version, brought to the table at different times.... But, otherwise, an enjoyable experience 🙂

I like the consistency, speed and friendliness in Wagamama Colchester. My daughter had her birthday lunch with her friends. I booked in advance as we were a party of 12. The staff were amazing. The girls loved their food and all round was a great experience.

...not quite the usual wagamama experience. There was no one receiving new diners for a while. When someone did turn up she rudely pushed everyone queuing to the outside. Even then we had to wait a while for a table despite there being plenty of free tables. Understaffed maybe! Our waitress did her best but extra drinks were a long time coming. The food as always was tasty and nourishing at reasonable prices. I'll probably eat elsewhere next time I am in Colchester. There is a Korean place near the castle....

Had a warm welcome when we arrived and we were sat down by a lovely waitress called Emily, she went out of her way even when it was really busy to make sure we were happy with food and drinks , checking up on where are food was when it was slightly late which was great :) food was amazing I ordered the pad Thai and chilli squid and my friend said his was great too . Who could've known that a simple visit to a Wagamama would leave us with such fond memories! Not only was the food great (let's face it, it always is), and the service absolutely lovely, but we ended up with a fun story of our own. We left our child's water bottle on the table and left, only to remember that we'd left it when we were boarding the train. As a longshot, I called the restaurant to see if there was any way they could, I don't know, transfer it to another Wagamama in London, but this was not the case. A few seconds later, I received a call from the lovely lady who answered the call in the first place, Aga, who generously offered to post the bottle to our home in London herself, and at her own expense no less — I really wished there was a way for her to send it for me to pay, but she insisted this was no problem. I was truly astounded — this goes so far beyond customer service — this is a delightful act of kindness that we won't forget. Makes me want to go back to Colchester and visit Wagamama again for sure, if only to say thank you to Aga personally — she should definitely win some kind of Employee of the Year award! 🙂

Every vegan dish I've had here has been absolutely amazing. A separate vegan menu ensures you know exactly what you're ordering, and there's a good balance between meat substitute dishes and vegetable/tofu dishes.

My first time, and what can I say truly remarkable place, we where served by a trainee who was on his 3rd shift, and already making suggestions his manner and professional attitude was incredible. He had the support of the supervisor/manager, this lady met us at the door and took us to our table again very professional, I'm sorry i didn't catch any of the names, but hopefully you will know who they are. OMG! The food is amazing! For such a busy resturant they seat and serve you remarkably quickly. The staff are fabulous, the seating is very friendly and sociable. It's beautifully decorated as well. The food was a really high quality and much cheaper than I thought it would be, couldn't be happier with this resturant. wagamama has downright delicious food. It's reasonably priced and also quite quick. They do Japanese dishes and they do them well. I highly recommend the Chicken Katsu curry, the sticky rice is perfect for chopsticks and the chicken is cooked to perfection. If you'd rather not use chopsticks there's cutlery too!

Wow. Only been there twice but I think the cuisine there is great and they really stick to their south-east asian vibe both in the food and the drink. It sometimes takes a while to come out, but its so worth the wait, and its really fresh. 10/10 couldn't recommend something more!

Went Sunday night and got seated straight away, staff were friendly and service was 5* we both had chicken Katsu and was cooked to perfection. Not like a normal Wagamamas, I know the restaurant is relatively new but the staff are a mix of absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and efficient to some that look like they have been dragged off the street and given a uniform, some staff are rushing around doing everything while others are shuffling around trying to look busy and desperate to avoid any eye contact. We waited ages to give our order despite the restaurant only being half full, food was good and tasty but a stroll up to the North Hill Noodle bar is a far better experience. I'm sure we will return but it won't be in a hurry.

For any firsttimer I'd let you know the food gets served in bursts so expect to have someone waiting for their meal (keep in mind it's not hours but there will be a moment where at least one person will be waiting). Although it tasted lovely my ramen had no broth at all and, as a result made the noddle slightly slimy.
