Waiters leaning over to pass dishes to people on the opposite side of the table rather than walking round, asked to wear a mask on entry etc but two serving us didn't so leaning over my vulnerable niece wasn't a very pleasant experience for her. To qualify for their 241 or 2 course offers, everyone on the table has to agree to them otherwise you don't qualify for the deal?? Could fully understand if it was applicable per couple. The food was nice but have visited other restaurants of a similar nature that doesn't charge premium prices that are on par but appreciate it isn't the same kitchen staff every day of the week in a restaurant so could've been an off day
K. A.I've used the Anoki Express Van delivery service 3 times now and they never fail to deliver top quality service, they are efficient, food is always well presented and tasty. The driver is so friendly and kind too. Absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended.

J. W.First time in Derby - visiting a friend in the nearby hospital. Beautiful surroundings. Really friendly staff - loved the smart "uniforms". Enjoyed the food - they even offered to do a mild Korma dish that wasn't on the menu. And the 2 for 1 Early Bird offer is excellent value.

D. V.Easily one of the best restaurant I've been to in a while. My boyfriend and I see this place everyday on our way back from work and decided to give it a try.
We did not order any of the starters but went for two mains (Saag Lamb and a chicken dish) with stuffed nan and egg rice. The food took around 15 minutes and it was the best Indian meal we've had in a long time. The service was exceptional and the food was of great quality. Apart from the mains we had ordered masala tea and gulab jamun which was served with a side of ice cream, delicious.
To finsih it all off, we got a free birthday cake from one of the servers. A perfect finish to an amazing dinner. The price was $$

Unfortunately , had lamb Madras this evening and, for the first time ever, meat was sub standard. Fat and gristle on many pieces.

J. H.My husband and I have eaten at Anoki a couple of times. The staff are so polite, friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious! Inside it's spacious and it's handy so close to the train station. We always enjoy our meal there and will be back!
S. K.As a family we absolutely love Anoki - Restaurant, Takeaway and even Chilled Van Takeaways that they have started doing this year.
It is unique recipes that I have never experienced anywhere else before.
As a Vegetarian myself Anoki offers amazing - and lots! of Vegetarian options which is simply amazing, the takeaway portions are very filling. When I order a takeaway I normally buy 2 sides and they last me 2 days. The Paneer Makhani is my go to dish - before this I had never tried Paneer before but it is so tasty and I now use it in my own homemade meals at home.
Their meals are full of flavour, even their takeaway van options, they come lukewarm/cold and you can either have them that day, keep them in the fridge for the following day or so depending on the date specified or freeze them - up to 6 months!! Which is a game changer especially if they have an offer on.
Dining in at the restuarant itself is a really nice experience, the staff are really nice and the atmosphere is really nice and authentic, it is just a wonderful experience and when Covid has gone then I can't wait to go and eat back in the restaurant.
Great staff, great food and they always get back to you if you have any queries etc through Facebook.

Prices very reasonable and if you get their discount card at the start of the year, are actually downright cheap. Have been many, many times and will be going many, many more. The word 'Anoki' is Urdu for 'unique' and this is reflected in the highly creative menu, each dish has been carefully designed to be unique, distinctive and incredibly special using only the finest ingredients.

Not sure if the take away food is made at one branch then delivered to the other 2 they have, but we can only say the A38 Anoki was perfect in every way and may go back there even though it's further for us to travel to pick up. Delicious!

S. Z.This is a nice fine dining restaurant in Derby. It is expensive. Average single main course dish cost around £17. Quantity is ok for 1, 2 people need 2 main dishes. The staff is good and service was quick. They serve complimentary papad and sorbet. They also gave 25% discount for early bird.

In regards to service, there were so many personal touches (e.g. coffee french pressed at your table, followed by complimentary sorbet after dinner). One of the best meals I have ever had. Would highly recommend.
If you are unsure what to order; absolutely go with the 1 or 2 course meal on the in-restaurant menu. It is outstanding and allows you to try a variety of items.

No it isn't! As it is essentially a bowl of Aubergine pickle - should have read the name better as achari essentially is pickle....
Be warned you also should haggle for the price - not done that since going to Brick Lane in London.

Even though it was only 5.30pm there were a few tables already taken and by the time we left at 7.30pm the place was buzzing. The liveried waiters looked superb adding a really classy touch. The food was amongst the best Indian food I've tasted. Authentic food served with a modern 'twist'.....recommend the Reshmi Tikka and any of the chef's recommendations for a main course. Looking forward to going back when next in Derby.

However, on the last occasion, notwithstanding I had booked, the table was stuck in a dark corner – the service was appalling, and the food was to match. The toilets were dirty, the towel holder was ripped from the wall, and there were no hand towels, other than those left lying on the floor in a wet pile – last time ever, will not be returning, and sorry to say the end of an era of happiness.

I had visited as it was my birthday and the service is outstanding.
The staff all wear traditional Indian clothes and are all happy to help.
We were seated at a table upstairs and the building is like walking into a Theatre with amazing bright colours and art décor all over the walls.
We had popadoms for starters with a selection of 4 traditional condiments to put on our popadoms, the drinks were good quality but the Coca-cola could be a little bit bigger.
The curry is to die for... literally! We both had Chicken Korma and it tastes so scrumptious, lip-smacking flavour of creamy sauce that tastes like cheese.
As I asked for the bill they brought me a unexpected surprise chocolate cake! So I'd like to thank you for that as I really didn't know that you would do that! =-)
They gave us after our food a selection of confectionery consisting of after eights, mentos, chocolate circle and a chocolate toffee.
The bill was averagely priced but it's worth every penny!

A. S.Anoki is a reliably good Indian restaurant open late, so it's always an alternative option to chips and a kebab on a Saturday night (although they serve chips too). The tandoori chicken here is especially good, and I've never waited long for my meal.
