I Love this place!!! I have some really nice memories here. Great Lounge no matter what time of day it’s always, always, got a vibe. The ambiance is amazing. Chilled place. Great selection of food. Great customer service. Great experience. I’d highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. Definitely make a visit if your in Derby. 💫

Excellent food and drinks! A great place to hang out with friends and talk! Spent a few hours there and loved the environment. Felt like food before I left and got a really strange dish that I absolutely loved. I can't for the life of me tell you what it was that I got. It has slow cooked beef in it, cheese, sour cream and was topped off with chorizo. All I know is that it was very tasty.

Visited for the first time today, a very nice place indeed, it can be seen that someone has put a lot of thought and effort into the lounge. it was very busy when we got there so it was a little wait for our food which is to be expected, but when it came it was delicious. I would highly recommend the chips they were very tasty. The portions weren’t massive but I guess you’re paying for the experience as well. Everywhere was lovely and clean and a nice touch with the children's corner. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing the best burger I have ever had. The staff are very friendly and asked when my partner and I walked in if we had any dietary requirements or allergies which I haven't been asked before on the walk in. The waiting time between ordering and eating was short and drinks were brought over after a couple of minutes. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and welcoming and the music compliment the environment.

Needed a good breakfast on the bank holiday and this place didn't disappoint. The ambiance was great and the staff were really attentive. Food was amazing and the self-service table app was spot on. Never disappointed at Carnero Lounge! It's family friendly during the day which is great, and it's really spacious too (for buggies etc.) Staff check if you have any allergies when ordering and the menu has a wide range of options for all tastes, including good vegan options. Our last visit cost under £20 (one adult and two children): child's sausages and chips, side of fries, Lounge Eggs, two blackcurrant squashes and a Coke. Great food, great atmosphere!

The place itself is nicely decorated although it is pretty dark (ideal for evening cocktails, but it felt a bit strange while having a breakfast). We have ordered a vegan breakfast, the food was quite nice except that we had a raw tomato (and not like the menu said: roasted tomato). I have ordered filtered coffee but I have been charged for an Americano. Overall not bad, but I wouldn't come back.

We sat outside and had a lunch and drinks. The service was friendly and efficient, the food lovely and the drinks were excellent. The Eggs (Lounge) Benedict I had were two of the best I've had in a long time (excluding the Pandemic lockdowns) and my wife gave her food and drinks 10/10. Thoroughly recommended.

Well...what can I say? Booked a meal for a group, and from start to finish it was fantastic! Booked here because we had a lot of dietary requirements including allergies, gluten free, Vegan and Vegetarians. Carnero Lounge catered for all our needs. On the evening itself we were warmly greeted by Kyla who talked us through a few things ( drinks, seating etc) and to shout her or Dan if we needed anything. We'd been seated upstairs which is just as cosy and atmospheric as downstairs. When we'd all arrived Dan was very helpful in getting us all sorted with food (I'd pre ordered to make it easy). Food was great, puddings were awesome too (and on a Monday night are free with your mains). On the whole we had a fab evening, nothing was too much for these guys and it's so nice to see such a happy crew, really does make a difference. Not one miserable face (ours or the staff!!) We shall be back!! Keep up the good work ☺️👍

In the morning, the place is a quite and peaceful environment to enjoy a nice drink or breakfast and depending on the day of the week. You can catch some really talented people singing on their open mic nights. They also have a great quiz and when the time of year comes there decoration changes and maybe if you're lucky you will get to see Santa

This was my first visit, and I was here to have a brunch party with some friends. Located in Derby City Centre it is easy find but doesn't have any parking. However there are plenty of car parks nearby. The front is modern with an outdoor area that is cordoned of so that it separates the general public and customers. Plenty of seating with tables. The main entrance is wheelchair friendly and the downstairs area is on one level. Inside you have a great bar with coffee and other hot drinks along with a good range of alcoholic ones. The downstairs area is extensive, with plenty of seating and tables, toilets are both up and downstairs. Upstairs (no lift) is a casual seating area and a long table area, the kitchen is upstairs with a serving hatch. The staff are excellent, polite, friendly and welcoming. Food is good, I had a lovely cooked English breakfast. The atmosphere is really nice and they have decent background music. Prices aren't too bad considering location and I will definitely be going back here in the future. Overall a very good quality experience.

Some colleagues and I went to the Carnero Lounge for a Xmas get together at lunch, there was only 1 person behind the bar and just 1 waiter. Dan (who waited on our table) was fabulous, he did his absolute best to cater to our tables needs when an order was incorrect and with multiple other requests. The food itself was a good standard but we felt awful for the staff in particular Dan who was rushed off his feet and cannot understand why only one member of staff was responsible for serving the entirity of up and downstairs at the restaurant - especially so close to Christmas! Long story short - Dan was great, the food was ok, but they need more staff and support.

We would also like to praise Gareth who when he noticed that my husband was in extreme pain due to fybromyalgia, advised him to use the toilet on the ground floor as all the other toilets are upstairs . Tonight was the second time we have been to one of the lounge chain restaurants, our first time at the Derby one. I have allergies to Gluten, lactose, garlic and onion. The manager not only went out of his way to check everything for me without getting impatient, which was already refreshing, but he went to the tesco across the road and bought some gluten free buns (as theirs have milk in) and some milk free cheese just for me! He wouldn't let me pay extra for them because he wanted me to enjoy my meal without any stress or be envious of everyone else's meal. I got to have a full burger with bun and cheese in a restaurant for the first time in 7 years!! Thank you guys, you've made my week! All of us commented that the food and service was amazing. FABULOUS FOOD AND SERVICE !!! I went with my boyfriend who has been loads before and recommended the tapas (which he got and it looked amazing to be honest) HOWEVER my staple meal of choice is always a chicken burger, and this was honestly one of the best chicks burgers I have ever had. I didn’t have the garlic mayo on the ultimate chicken burger (? Uncertain of name) because it came with bbq also! TWO hash browns, PROPER bacon not like the slices (I hate the fat so this was an absolutely huge plus) with the option to upgrade to sweet fries! Absolutely 10/10 and was about same price as a spoons burger and 100x better!!!!!! NOW THE SERVICE!!! We was served by the wonderful Alex who was absolutely lovely so cheery and I personally loved their choice of earrings!! Wonderful food and amazing service, we also had a window view upstairs so we could ppl watch but the walls inside was floor to ceiling with art, and I ADORED the random chairs personally, had a fabulous time and had high expectations from the praise of my boyfriend’s previous visits, didn’t disappoint thank you so much for a lovely evening!!!! This is one of my fave spots in Derby. I love the atmosphere inside which is so comfy and relaxed. They have a separate vegan menu with some really nice selections; my favorite being the Beyond Burger. I have been here several times with my husband and even been with a larger group which the staff were easily able to accommodate. I can't recommend Carnero enough. Check it out for sure!

Me and my wife was just wanted to go somewhere different to eat. We saw this place and looked at the menu and thought, this looks OK, we'll try it. Glad we did. Nice food, nice, friendly staff and relaxing inside, maybe a bit dark inside, but that's what made it more relaxing instead of being bright and loud. People we saw were actually talking to each other, instead of shouting to make conversation. We both had a pannini each and it was very nice, not too expensive either. Will definitely go in there again when we go to Derby.

Really love this place. One of the few places I always visit for brunch when in derby. Can always guarantee to find something on the menu, for all dietary requirements. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating and the coffee isn’t bad either. The food is great and has a massive selection. Cocktails are also nice in the evening and they often have a live band or singer that plays at the venue. The one thing I would change is that the building and restaurant is very dark with minimal natural light, and it often looms a bit dark and gloomy.

Love this place, visited Carnero a few times now and loved it each time. Been during the day for lazy brunches and relaxed lunch times - not been in the evening however so can't comment! The times we've been, our food has always arrived in a timely manner despite once going on a bank hol weekend morning and it being obscenely busy. Food has been lovely (best avocado on toast around for any one as basic as me looking for a good one!!). Also a major bonus for a city centre cafe, it is SUPER dog friendly and always multiple doggies whenever i visit!

Free colouring pages and kids' play area under the stairs went down a treat with the children in our party. The food's great. The interior design is fantastic. One thing that bugs me about this please is DIRTY GLASSES. I've never received a polished glass in this place and frequently need to ask for a clean one (that's never there). Last time when we asked for a clean glass the waitress tipped the wine from one dirty glass to another.

I pre-ordered a meals for 22 people and the staff at Carnero Lounge were very accommodating in making last minute changes to numbers and meal choices. When I arrived at 7pm, the table had been set with jugs of tap water and a printed copy of my preorder handed to me in case anyone had forgotten what they ordered (nice touch!) The food was very tasty, reasonably priced and served piping hot. A lovely, chilled atmosphere. We all felt very welcome to hang around after the meal for a few drinks. Visited carnero lounge for the first time today with nine year old grandaughter. We received a cheery, friendly greeting from a member of staff behind the bar. As It wasn't overly busy and the place is quite large inside, we had a great choice of tables to choose from and settled on one by the window-great for people watching. Good choice of food and drink for adults and children which you order at the bar. Food and drinks were served at the table and we didn't have to wait long for it. I had the special- loaded fries meat version and my grandaughter had buttermilk pancakes and chips!!! We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was great. We will return and highly recommend.

Visited Carnero Lounge due to seeing the good reviews. We both had vegetarian breakfasts and they were absolutely lovely, staff were also extremely friendly and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. If we ever visit Derby again, we will definitely return.

I really really want to like Carnero more than I do, and I say this as a frequent visitor to the place who keeps going back because it does have so much potential. It ticks so many boxes of being family and dog friendly, having a varied drinks and food menu and it's a decent size that you can almost always get a table even with a larger group. But unfortunately, every time I'm here, there's always *something* that doesn't go quite right with the service. Food or drinks are missed or delayed, oversalted fries, cold soup...I almost feel they should quit offering the bread and carrot sticks with hummus as a kids' meal starter or have it behind the bar to hand out with the drinks as they are often missed as well. The staff will helpfully correct any issues, so I can't fault their responses when there are issues. But I just wish that the problems didn't occur so often in the first place. That said, having been here and tried several things on the menu, everything I've eaten here is tasty and the coffee and drinks are also good.

This is a superbly chilled but qwerky cafe which has friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, great food (you can get a wide range of tastey brunch dishes - even vegan or veggie - at any time of day!) and plenty of cosy sofa seating. I also had my first ever full veggie breakfast here, which was great! Overall I highly recommend Carnero, as it's one of my favourite spots to grab a cup of tea/breakfast and relax with friends in Derby.

I decided to go for the Diner Brunch which I very much enjoyed, the streaky salty bacon against the sweet maple syrup with pankackes was an absolute treat, I also loved the little hash browns and the BBQ beans were a nice touch. My wife had the eggs benedict and the eggs were perfectly poached so she was very happy too! Great selection of teas and coffee also. Definitely reccomend this place, very nice vibe and decor.
