Dined here after just finding the restaurant by chance via Google Maps. Such a good find! The meal was tasty, and expertly cooked. I think it was quite frankly the best steak I've ever had. I had the portabello mushrooms with garlic starter and 10 oz Sirloin steak as a main course, with creamy pepper sauce. My friend had the king prawn starter and the Rib-eye on the bone main course with black pepper sauce. Both steaks were excellent and more than adequate in terms of quantity. I cannot wait to revisit this place.

Absolutely amazing! Could not fault a thing. My partner took me to Emily’s for my birthday and it was perfect. Cosy restaurant, the steak was amazing! Perfectly cooked and huge portion. Had the loveliest meal today at Emily’s steakhouse. It was my first time eating here and I was beyond impressed. The steak was cooked perfectly and the prawn cocktail and Portobello mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment. There was nothing to fault. Came here to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely as was the atmosphere. Couldn't fault a thing. We had to leave quite early due to other engagements but the lady gave us a parting birthday gift as we couldn't stay any longer for a drink. Covid guidelines are still being followed for those still a little scared to go out and the tables are spaced nicely apart. Highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely beautiful steak! I've never had rib eye on the bone before and do not regret ordering it! It was succulent, well seasoned and very well made. Real quality meat. The chips were home made and sooo delicious too. Staff were friendly and attentive too. I honestly can't wait to go back soon.

What a lovely experience. We had never come across Emily's before but are so happy we have. The service was second to none, staff extremely friendly and service was quick - Emily herself even came to clear the table after we'd eaten, checking how our meal - it was delicious. Great food and great service! If you want a really good steak and chips you will not get better in Derby. The steak was cooked beautifully and the chips were amazing. Everyone in our group thought the steak was one of the best they had had. Starters and desserts were good too, the service was friendly, efficient and helpful. Emily bought us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine after our meal and chatted about the food and how they source items locally. My only criticism would be that in places the decor was a bit worn. Probably not the place to go if you are looking for cool surroundings, or fancy presentation, but if you want great simple home cooked food you won't disappointed

Visited one evening in the week with some colleagues having heard only good things about this place, and I understand why! We ordered 3 12oz ribeyes cooked between medium and medium-rare and one huge 32oz rump cooked rare. These were complimented by a generous portion of chips, peas and salad, and we also opted for some onion rings to share. Sauces of choice were the old family recipe black pepper sauce and creamy pepper sauce. I had the former, and have to say it was one of the nicest I've had served with a steak. In hindsight, I perhaps shouldn't have challenged myself to the 32oz rump but it was all thoroughly enjoyable and all four steaks were cooked just as requested. We will definately be returning!

For a steakhouse, it doesnt let up. You get the choice of a variety of steaks and size, cooked to your choice. The sauces are amazing, it seems like it is cooked fresh and not pre-made and warmed up. However, if you dont want steak, there is the choice of burgers and other dishes. There is desert too if you can fit in, as portion size is big. At least you would not leave hungry here. You get what you pay for.

went to emilys for valentines evening meal, when we arrived the staff where very welcoming and attentive. we order our food and it came within a short period of time and was very hot and very tasty. i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food and a friendly atmosphere

We had the most amazing meal here last night and only stumbled across this restaurant by chance. We were attending a gig near by at a local pub and wanted something to eat beforehand within walking distance of the pub. It's always a risk trying somewhere new but we're so glad we did. It's a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We both ordered the 8oz rump steak rare and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Every mouthful was delicious. Possibly the best steak I've ever tasted. Good-sized portions and the fries were lovely too. We're not local to Derby but if you are or you're travelling through and like good quality meat, you definitely have to check out Emily's Steakhouse; you won't be disappointed.

Really good steakhouse, definitely recommend it. The fillet was really nice and the all the sauces perfectly enhance the flavor of the steak. Also the mushrooms was perfectly grilled with stilton, all in all creating a very delicious and worth dinner. We've been to Emily's Steakhouse a few times, the food has always been incredible. On Saturday night, I had pre-ordered a meal for my Wife's birthday. Can not beat this place for quality on everything 😋 we normally go every year on our anniversary but missed it this year due to the restrictions 😒 so with having a kid free evening we booked in to treat ourselves and as always Emily's didn't fail, love it. First time experience here today, the head of house could not do enough to make your experience an excellent one, very polite and accommodating. If you like onion ri.g these do send the teast buds to another level, best I have ever had (regret not getting the stack as I would of ate them all). The stake was done to perfection and the creamy black pepper sauce was divine. Happy my fellow could book a new place (hard for him being autistic) he knows how to complain but to my surprise he had none and we will be coming back even if its full price. Well worth the money. Absolutely phenomenal food! The thing that made the experience was the fact that Emily herself spent so much time talking to us which made us feel as if we were regulars. Amazing customer service, amazing food, the atmosphere was great and they made us feel welcome. The most spectacular thing was that they didn't have the crab pot's due to freshness so they gave us extra portobello mushrooms with our starters and Emily explained it to us. I have eaten all over the world and i would recommend this place to anyone, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, cooked to perfection and 1 thing that really stood out was the fact that they asked about the marbeling and whether we minded the steak being marbeled, that was unusual! Also if you're like me and eat with your eyes, please don't let the look of the chips put you off, they were delicious even though they don't look that appetising. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience quality cuts of meat cooked to perfection along with some of the tastiest food! My only downfall was the quality of the beer, was very flat other than that it was an amazing place. Thank you Emily you made our experience a great one, we will definitely be back again!

Great food (onion rings are second to none!) With a range of juicy steaks chargrilled to perfection. Drinks quite expensive and soft drinks a let down as clearly from large bottles that have been open a while thus lacking the all important fizz. Attentive staff provided excellent service. Visited for the first time on Saturday night, large group of us for a celebration, the staff were all very polite and welcoming. All the food came out together which is a task on it's own for a large group. Every plate of food was cooked to perfection and I would go as far as saying it's the best steak I've ever eaten. My only slight issue you dont get a pint it's just a glass from a can and quite expensive, if they can get beer on draught in the future then even better, other than that its amazing and we'll definitely be going back again very soon.

Came highly recommended by friends, so we went as a group of 8 on a weekday evening to see if it was justified - It is, really good food which is on the slightly expensive side but for people who like their steaks I'd say 99% of people will leave happy. When we were there it was EXTREMELY LOUD and raucous so we struggled to have a conversation, but I guess on most other days its a bit quieter. Serving staff and Emily in particular were lovely. Food came out in good time despite it being busy. Portions were above average in size and the steaks were of very good quality for all of us who ordered them Parking is easy as theres a large car park within 10m of the Restaurant

OMG, there's not a lot more I can say then OMG, after living in Dubai for 10 years and eating in some of the worlds best restaurants and frequently, I did not ever expect to come to the UK and find a Gem of a restaurant such as Emily,s. The steaks are mouthwatering, all the food was delicious, staff were so nice, I had to cancel for the following day as my sister couldn't make it over from Manchester, then the following day we had big floods so we well delayed. Firstly after waiting quite a while we had to asked to be served,the menu's weren't taken after we had ordered and once again we had to ask for serviettes and salt and pepper,my ribeye was just ok and when we were paying we were asked if we'd been given our complimentary prosecco,i said no and was asked if id like to sit back down at out table and have it...too late really,for a meal costing £90 i was fairly disappointed.

Went for a birthday meal for two, can't fault the food however after the one drink we were served at the very beginning nobody returned to ask if we wanted to order more! There was a lady who might have been the owner stood chatting to the table next to us the entire way through our meal, very annoying during a nice meal for two. At the end there's is an automatic service charge which I paid and usually have no problem doing so but I feel there was zero service other than putting the plates on the table given. Wouldn't go back, too over priced for such poor service.

Food was fantastic I have to say and we had a brilliant evening paid the bill which was really expensive even for 13 of us! Then Emily appeared and almost demanded that we pay a further 10% service charge😯 the menu clearly stated 10% service charge on shared dishes only which we didn't have! Hannah our waitress well the only staff member on duty was lovely and we had already tipped her😊 our night really had a dampener put on it ! This is not America you are rewarded for your service and we did this to Hannah our server! Shame on you Emily that's all I can say!!

Always been a superb restaurant. Every time I have been to emily's the food has been perfectly cooked and presented. Emily and the rest of the front of house staff are extremely attentive. This is Derby's hidden gem and I would urge everyone to sample this restaurant.
