Nice little indian restaurant a hidden gem tucked away food was excellent and i couldn't find one fault with it, service was good and staff were very polite, i went on a Monday so it was quite quiet. There was lots of different variety of dishes on the menu. They also do a mid week special there so its worth asking prices are really good to they also do a takeaway service

Great Indian restaurant. We dropped in here last night after wanting to revisit (last time we came we were quite drunk) and even for a Monday night there were plenty of people eating and there was a very good vibe. Food was on point and the service was great.

The best takeaway Indian in my opinion. Had Tandoori king prawn Dhansak with pilau rice and plain naan. Food delivered within 30 minutes, piping hot. Absolutely gorgeous meal.

Went last weekend for a birthday meal, staff were so friendly and attentive. We had 2 young girls with us and they were very kind and tolerant of them. Was bought a cocktail and some shots after the meal for my birthday as well as given a £10 voucher saying happy birthday. Genuinely an amazing experience and cannot wait to go back. Perfect 😊

1st time order for delivery,was recommended by a friend, order arrived a little late but no problem, on unpacking discovered we were missing my only Nan bread called the restaurant & was told could I come & collect the missing Nan, no was my answer, was offered £5.00 off next order, on fully unpacking my order we were missing salad & a pickle tray, understand they are busy but to miss so much of the order is not good, on a good note the food was very good, just a pity a lot was missing from my tandoori mix grill ☹️

Been to the tamarind many times. The restaurant has always impressed but last night was someting special. I had a Tamarind special meal and it was by far the best curry I have ever had. I make my own from all the raw and basic ingredients but I could never match this. Superb.

I've never been here before, but my Mum has been here plenty of times before and always recommended it. Tonight we went here without booking, and we were seated instantly without fuss. OMG... Just got back from another great night at the Tamarind. Today we arrived early (Never early) and the boys greated us with welcoming smiles and friendly banter. It was a pleasure to see the boss (Ali) and the original boys back in the restaurant due to this restaurant being alot more better than the other restaurant in Cannock 😁😉 (Which is so worth a visit btw). Today I was with my 7 month baby and meeting friends and children. The service I received from the boys was superb, as always. They got me a high chair for the baby and even provided the baby with food for her to try. I love it here, they like children and allow them into the restaurant and will take there time to make the children feel comfortable too. I spent 3 hours here tonight. Not because the service is slow as previous comments have said but because the staff do not rush and allow customers to relax and enjoy their time in this great restaurant, Tamarind. The boys have great knowledge of the menu and will provide recommendations and cater for your needs. When arriving they asked if my baby had any allergies, very attentive to detail. Food fresh, hot and the flavours are to die for. Tonight I had a shashlik (Not my normal choice) which was out of this world. The meat was tender, juicey and flavoursome. This is now my new favourite. When looking round the restaurant, it's busy and the boys always appear to be busy but calm and always smiling and caring towards each customer. Several times I looked up to staff having a conversation and laughing with customers. Can't get better service than this anywhere. The boys are great 😁 I love the touch of a drink for the road and a chocolate. Even the children had little drink for road (non alcoholic obvs). This should be the number 1 Restaurant in Derby. Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, the staff work hard and provide a great service, the food is mouth watering and full of flavours. Well done boys and keep up the good work 😀 Thanks for another great meal and accomodating my friends and family in your outstanding restaurant.

Wow! The house speciality dishes are superb, service is attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is lively without being loud. The decor is contemporary and tasteful. Please visit, you won't be disappointed.

I'm not from the area but booked to meet up with some friends only to find they have two sittings 7.30pm or 9pm neither really suited us but we went for 9. Had to wait for our table and when we got it the service was really slow. I had to go to the bar to ask for someone to take our food order it didn't get much better all night. Food was what you would expect but nothing amazing.
