Was invited here for a birthday meal...honestly as soon as I was told all you can eat my expectations dropped to almost 0, but I was wrong totally not what I thought, the food was spot on absolutely massive choice. The premises is a modern restaurant style. We arrived at 5.45 and wasn't too busy the place did begin to fill as we were leaving but yeah as you can see from my other reviews I'm happy to give negative feedback but I don't have any from here.. Staff polite and friendly and tipped..... Price was roughly £206 for 6 adults meals, 5 kids meals, 9 bottomless soft drinks and 2 alcoholic drinks.... Would recommend

Food is plentiful however there never seems to be a change in the dishes on offer. We have been 3 times and the dishes are always the same. The quality of the ingredients seems to have declined in the last year or so since our first visits. Staff are usually very helpful and for what you pay the quality and service is reasonable. Make sure you check out their offer pages as there is sometimes discounts to be had!

Great location, just a few minutes walk from the train station. Made a booking online and arrived at allocated to be greeted by a team member and taken to our seat. Restaurant was clean and the service from staff was great. The selection of food was good, with something for everyone. We went during lunch hours and there was a couple of things that were evening service only, but it didn't hamper our experience. Overall highly recommend and we will be back in the future.

Brilliant place although I've not been for a few years, was surprised my 11 year old was charged an adult price due to her height. She's stick thin and eats less than a toddler however understandable I suppose. There was £8 price difference so wasn't a huge hike. Will return in future due to the expense of food in one place.

It was our third time visiting COSMO and it never fails to surprise us. The staffs were very helpful and kind. The dishes all were good except few Indian dishes. We found a bit difficult to open the lids because of the glass frame in front. Apart from that it was a very good experience.

Omg the food is amazing... The only let down was that if you wanted to pay for drinks separately you had to keep on going up to the till and pay everytime and being disabled that was a nightmare as never came to table with card reader as not offered. Other than that loved the food and what was available. Something for everyone. Very big place. Very good value for food so hence 5 star rating but they need to do card readers at table or at least take money at table to there till as they bring the drinks to you.

Nice place. First. Yiu need to know that Cosmo in Doncaster is inside the mall.... French Gate. Once you get there, you may have to wait outside a bit so your sitting csn be sorted, especially if you came as a large group like we did. It's a buffet setting and there are different array of food... Mexican, Thai, Chinese etc ans plenty disserts.. You can eat as much as you can. The catch is that you can only stay for like an hour and a half... 2 hours at the most. Their officials are courteous and helpful Please note that you pay separately for drinks. Rhee place is big and can accommodate a good number of people. They close 9pm. We went on a Sunday and had ro use street parking. Their food taste nice.

Party of 6 with 2 kids. They sat us in a booth. Totally inappropriate for a buffet as all have to keep moving constantly tly for people to get food and drinks. The food was great as always. I bit disappointed coz we went to celebrate my son's birthday. He had his birthday on Saturday and the manager said that they not giving any discount on weekend days?! The cosmo website says differently. We always go there to celebrate our birthdays with family and friends on weekends . Never had any issues before.

Went last night. Not impressed at all. Half the dishes must have been sat there a while. Reluctantly got up for round 2 and there were no plates available. Around 20 people stood waiting for clean plates to come out for around 5 minutes. Always regret coming here in the end.

We booked here for my daughters Birthday, we arrived just on time and was slightly annoyed having to wait in a seated area outside of the restaurant. Once inside it was well worth the wait, the staff were really friendly bringing drinks on request, the food was fantastic with wonderful amounts of choice and all tastes great. The only other thing I can complain about was a lack of spoons, but with all the plusses it wasn't enough to spoil the experience!. The parking was on the Frenchgate roof, not sure how long we were but it cost £5 which seemed reasonable for the length of time. Great day will go again.....

Loads of different types of quisine English, Chinese, Indian, American, Thai etc... Been a few times now and what i have found is the food is inconsistent, obviously 2 batches of food aren't going to taste the same but should taste similar, unfortunately this isn't always the case, but generally the savoury food does taste good! Also the desserts lack flavour and can be gelatinous, i tend to stick to ice cream, cake & fruit. Lastly always double check your bill because they will assume u had a refillable drink and put it on your bill, as well as the cost of a drink from the bar you had instead.

The table was clean when I came in which is often not seen at some restaurants as sometimes tables are left with plates on them. Really enjoyed our visit to Cosmo's, immense selection of food on offer, we went there on a Tuesday evening were it was "comfortably busy" I'm not sure what it's like on a weekend but I can imagine you may be "plate dodging" on the walk back from the buffet at busier times but as I haven't been there in the weekend this is only an assumption. 1 tip - Pace yourself so you're able to sample a little bit of everything and maybe have room for a little pud, which they also have a massive range of! We went here for Christmas work dinner. I was really impressed by the size of the venue and by the choice of menu. There is a huge choice of food from virtually every continent. The food that I had was extremely tasty. I can only say that I would go again. If you want a good meal at a reasonable price I doubt you will find better.

This place is nice if you go in with the mindset of its a buffet and don't expect 'alot'. Its nice but you can get times where things aren't right like the duck when I went was so dry it was untrue and so salty it was uncomfortable to eat. If you must drink there buy the refill pop the actual alcoholic drinks are waaaaay over priced for Yorkshire folk like me, go pub after for a good drink. Overall it is a nice place to eat just like I said don't expect the world.

Very popular location, and overall the experience was a positive one. The food was very tasty and quite well rotated, the service however was lacking... It took over 30minutes to get the drinks to our table and then they were completely wrong. Perhaps the staff we had were new, perhaps they had some staff off in isolation... I don't know either way, but I would try them again just to be sure.

I like Cosmo but last few visits was not as good as before. Maybe due to challenging time short staff new staff covid situation. Me and my family will be back to check if that atill is a problem or it will improve soon enough. We went as a party of 9 for a birthday the food was very nice but the bill came as one bill which came to just over £200 but because we were a party of 9 there had been a surcharge added which states is optional but apparently is not as we were told because we were a party of more than 6 we had to pay the surcharge so 1. How is that optional and 2. On big partys the bill totals are big enough anyway without adding more!! I find that just a money making scheme our party of 9 will be considering somewhere else because of that reason next birthday in December shame because we would have made it regular .

I love your choice selection of ice creams as the desert is always my favourite part of eating out. I love the choice of different foods to try, from other country's too. The food ilwas lovely my party of 13 loved it but when it came to paying wow what a nightmare. They gave us the bill with the service charge of 5% of the bill which was like £13 but we was splitting the bill 5 ways they then said every time the bill was payed we would have to pay 5% on every time we split the bill to pay so they would make more money.

It's in the middle of the shopping center with plenty of parking but it's chargeable parking. Lots of shops around lifts and escalators for the disabled. It still opens after the shops have closed. Really tasty food to pick from you won't be disappointed and eat as much as you like. Had a works do here, on a long raucous table, alongside several similar groups. However, there were plenty of tables in a separate area of the restaurant, so if you want a quieter meal then there was no problem. Very happy and efficient - and patient! - staff. The selection of food was really good, with almost all tastes catered for. The main gripe was that (some of the) food could have been hotter. Soy sauce was a bit watery, and some of the nice-looking cakes were a little lacking in taste. Maybe if condiments (hoisin, soy, salt, pepper, etc) were on the tables, that would have been more effective, too. But all in all, a pleasant evening, good environment, and a wide range of tasty food!

People have told me about it for ages, but never thought to go until my mum's birthday recently. I was taking my 2 nieces, so it seemed like an ideal place for the kids instead of some posh fancy restaurant.... Anyway, I can honestly say it far exceeded my expectations. All varieties of different food available - Chinese, English, Indian, etc, etc, so theres something for everyone. The actual restaurant is tastefully decorated, definitely classier than I was expecting. Plus the set prices are excellent... Overall I really can't find any fault with this place, just find it confusing why it doesn't seem to be advertised more. If I hadn't been told about it, I wouldn't of known it existed, and I definitely had trouble finding it.... Highly recommend.

The obvious reason for such a high rating is the amount of options/tastes on offer, but this restaurant in particular is my favourite down to the staff, layout and cleanliness. The washout times to get in are to a minimal it's very clean and allot more private than the other in Sheffield. The staff are non stop and the food is top notch the variation and quality are really good. I would highly recommend!

It was all going so well there was 19 of us, but we were paying in no more than a group of 5 so separate bills...we came to pay and they had applied a service charge to everyone's bill...this is standard on parties of more than 6, its is optional according to the manager, but optional means you are given the choice, we were not...and we had bad service its took several attempts just to get a glass for drink...there were more than 6 of us but were were not all one party...very snidey and will make us think before going back.

The food is lovely, but that is the only good point. I used to really love it here when it first opened. Now, the staff are really grumpy, and I mean really grumpy! None of them know good customer service skills at all. I asked a woman for some cutlery and with the grumpiest face ever she slammed them into my hands. The people taking your plates never smiled once and hovered around making you feel like you had to rush and never gave you a chance to eat in peace. The staff really need customer service training, their attitudes are appalling. Really shames the place as the food and concept is amazing. It's such a shame the staff are such a let down!

Lots of variety of food to chose from. Drinks are very affordable and to refil on soft drinks as many times as you like is only £3.10, staff were friendly and came around to the table a few times to see if we needed anything. If you like quantity over quality it's the place for you, as it's an as-much-as-you-can-eat buffet style restaurant. You can pile your plates high with volumes of food from Mexican to Turkish, Chinese to good old British. Some things taste quite good but others are tasteless and bland. The sweet section with the chocolate fountain is always a hit with the kids. I've been a few times with groups because that's where they've wanted to go. Personally I'd rather pay double the money and get a regular sized portion of good quality, flavoursome food. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

One of my favorite things is visiting restaurants and this by far is my favorite. The seats are amazing, the place is a beautiful piece of architecture, even down to the wavy formation of the ceiling. The staff are very nice and we had a good laugh with a woman who in my eyes deserves a promotion. The food was amazing and with a reasonably long time for seating you can explore there wide range of delectable foods. However, make sure you're empty on the visit, because you'll be wanting to eat that many nice of foods, that you may feel light-headed. My favorite thing about this place is how quick you get in, most restaurants take a lengthy amount of time waiting for a seat and we went for my brother's birthday and the waiting time was outstanding, we got in straight away and we also came at its most busiest time. I recommend this restaurant for visit and it is suitable for all different types of occasions: Birthdays, Date, Night-out, Party, etc.

Toilets were mucky and not a nice smell . We have enjoyed it both times but I think there can be improvements .

This place has gone down hill recently in my opinion in the past i rated it highly. I have eaten here a few times and would still go back. The mix of food is nice and it is reasonably priced. Unfortunately it is the clientele that is bringing this place down. As with most all you can eat eateries in the uk, the attitude of its patrons lets it down. with comments like "Ive paid for it, ill have what I want" and "I can waste it if i want". I feel the staff should be present more in the food areas to help people and answer questions. As well as cut back on greedy and wasteful people making it a mess and dropping food everywhere. I would never dream of letting my 10 year old boys serve them selves yet it seems people are letting younger children run wild! I would prefer a dress code, as sweaty hairy blokes in vests is not what i want to see near food. Kids in them damn Wheelies treating the place like a play ground needs to stop as well!

First time I've been here. Fixed price all you can eat Pan Asian buffet. food chiices from following genre countries , British, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican. All the food was excellent with good selection of starters, mains and sweets. Unfortunately the cutlery washer was playing up when we visited which left everyone looking for clean cutlery and staff weren't so good at bringing it when it became available. Again food quality was excellent. We were in a large party of 23 , and were asked to order our drinks personally at the bar. This was not a problem however the table service would have been more acceptable. Removal of dirty plates and drinks glasses was not quite as slick as it could be. When we came to pay we found a small (and it was quite small , circa £1.50) had been added to the bill. What made this quite annoying was a) there was no mention of it when paying b) it is only added automatically to parties of more than 7! Remember above, we had to get our own drinks as there was so many of us. Bar is fairly priced albeit limited selection of lagers and no bitter. Good spirits selection. Wine was £13 to £20 per bottle. They're happy for you to take your own celebration cakes too. Overall atmosphere was quite noisy but this is a large buffet style place probably with around 300 covers so that's to be expected, and we attended on a busy Saturday evening. Not too noisy however. This place is accessed via escalators and lifts from the French gate centre. Looking at the layout wheelchair access would be good around the whole layout, however a wheelchair seated person would struggle at the bar and probably not able to serve themselves at the buffet due to the height/layout of the buffet. Overall though absolutely worth what you pay for the food (even with the service charge). Service could be slightly better in terms of clearing. Probably worth pre booking in peak periods, as we noted several groups waiting at the entrance. But they do provide a small waiting area with seats.

To be fair i have been loadsa times here in Doncaster but today was a bit of a let down, some of the food was cold (meatballs) and the black peppered chicken wasnt cooked properly (kinds mushy inside, no tenderness to the meat?). The deserts were very nice although i did miss out on the chocolate fondant machine as this was not working (for the 2nd time). The staff are amazing and they quickly clear your empty plates ready for you to have seconds 😏 . Bottomless soft drinks on tap (coke/fanta/vimpto) , Beer, wine & Cocktails available too with option of having a jug full to last you through the meal. Very clean place as long as parents keep an eye on their kids around food (sticking fingers in sauces/choc sauce and tasting, coughing & sneezing over food, mauling food an putting it back for some poor sod to take). Odd occasion you may get that ignorant impatient lot that barge in front or reach across you to get their food (which really grieves me!). Apart from the few bad occurrences it is a pretty nice clean venue.

The best buffet restaurant I've ever been to! As a very fussy eater I love going to a buffet restaurant because it allows me to try new things without having to worry about the cost, knowing also there should atleast be a couple of things I'll eat. Cosmo is truly fantastic! It's the largest buffet restaurant I've ever been to with so many different food choices from around the world, including a good old fashioned English carvery for the really fussy eaters. As well as many different food choices from around the world they also have a fresh grill for things like lamb chops and a fresh fish station where they will cook different fish to your preference. The worst thing about buffets are usually the deserts which always look very nice but have no taste but Cosmo even get this right with some beautiful deserts which actually taste nice! It's not cheap at £15 per head but personally I felt it was worth every penny! Most evenings you'll need to book a table because they are always very busy but that itself is a good sign too. I can't wait to go back for my birthday meal in a couple of weeks!

Make sure you make a reservation, rather than walking in because you will have to stand around and wait in the reception area if they are busy, which isnt very big & the seating in there isnt very disabled friendly, because you have to step up onto a narrow ledge to sit on the padded bench and wall. Although they will provide a dining chair if they have one free. Although, each time we have been & have reserved a table, we have had to wait because our table was not ready, but for no longer than half an hour. I do believe there is a time limit you are able to be in there, to prevent people waiting. That all said, the staff are very friendly. The chefs knowlageable. And they are very attentive, and are happy if you are wanting to pay seperatly. The savory food is gorgeous!!! (the chinese shredded duck is beautiful) But the deserts are a let down because they are clearly bought in and taste very bland. It can be loud in there because of the amount of people. So its ok for big parties, kids, birthdays, families, stag and hens etc. But have only visited on an evening so may well be quiter dure in the day.

My favourite place to eat. It isn't the cheapest place, but it has so much to choose from you can't go wrong. It's also an "all you can eat" consisting of world-wide dishes, desserts and a chocolate fountain! So put your big boy pants on when you come here! It's really modern, quite unlike anywhere else I've been. They sell bottomless drinks to go with your all you can eat buffet, so you can explode on a choice of soft drinks, or food, or both! Probably the latter. Parking is the only downside of this location. Being inside the Frenchgate shopping centre, the only real choice is to use their parking facility on the roof which is expensive at any day or time, I won't lie. Being located at the Frenchgate, there's a railway and bus interchange next door and literally underneath the building for those of you who can't drive or might wish to travel differently.

You will find this restaurant in French gate shopping centre. There is disabled parking but you have to pay parking charge. A short walk to the restaurant. You give your name and how many at the desk. Bookings are taken. You are shown to the table and a drinks order is taken. You are free to help yourself to a wide variety of dishes from English to Japanese, Chinese and Indian and thai. There are many many desserts which include ice cream, Etonmess, fresh fruit

Dinner was really nice, typical takeaway food, the soft drinks are also pay a price get free refill, some of the food like the garlic bread in my photo which had been left for a while had, some other food eg curry had gone hard on top where it had not been stirred in a while, overall it was a nice meal.

By far the best buffet restaurant I have been to. You have a selection of dishes from all over the world to choose from. Indian, Asian, Mexican, Italian, it's all here. To avoid lengthy waits on a Friday and Saturday evening I would highly recommend booking well in advance.

Only giving 5 stars as the staff on shift today was lovely one member in particular called Christina who was working behind puddings saved the day. My 6 year old daughter who has austism/adhd had a meltdown as I had promised her the choc fountain would be on. One member of staff did say sorry it's only at dinner time but Christina offered her assistance and got my daughter sone marshmallows choc sauce extra sprinkles and sweets. Doesnt seem an issue to anyone else but without Christina's help today my daughters day would of been ruined she was amazing she spoke to her made it fun which calmed her down and made her enjoy the rest of lunch I honestly cant thank her enough. The food itself was very dry but it was the end if lunch we came so maybe why but the staff all need praising.

They should be on always. People work different times so if they cant get there its like they paying same price for less service.
