Came here for my 30th birthday with the family, we didn’t have a booking but they squeezed us in without waiting. We were seated in the dragon section and the experience was amazing, and our server really made me feel like a birthday girl. She had the whole restaurant sing happy birthday and but a candle in my brownie for me to blow out and wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce on my plate. It was really incredible and friendly. The food was delicious. Will definitely go again.

OK, you've got a dinosaur. You have my attention. With all the characters coming out to engage with customers and the little attractions (like the T Rex head appearing), it's almost like one of those restaurants you'd get in Florida. Some proper effort has gone into it. Oh yeah, the food is good too, and even on a Saturday night, we weren't waiting long. For the record, the sweet potato fries were right up there with some of the best I've tasted.

This restaurant is a really good place to eat if you have young children. I won't ruin the surprise but I will tell you that there are events that occur whilst you eat your meal around the decor of the restaurant that will keep the kids entertained. The staff were so friendly and the food was well cooked. The prices were a little bit "Theme Parky" but that's expected given the venue its situated at. All in all a good place to eat for the experience.

The restaurant is amazing inside and the staff are really friendly. food was decent but giving 4 stars due to slow service and the restaurant wasn't even half full, we were there for over 2 hours and most of that was waiting to be served. Asked and paid for cheesy chips but didn't get them. Apart from the little negatives really enjoyed this place our daughter loved it the food was decent even sang happy birthday to our daughter and did a happy birthday message on her desert plate. will be returning and would recommend here for any family's as they have a jungle theme and lost kingdom theme side to the restaurant (we were in lost kingdom) Amazing restaurant and brilliant staff 👍🍔

First I have to say this place is amazing. The decor is brilliant with animatronic dragins and dinosaurs and live actors and special effects making this a unique and emmersive dining experience. The food is simple but good quality and reasonably priced. A great experience. The only thing that let it down was the service. We were shown to our table and after 25 mins finaly managed to to get the attention of one of the busy servers to get a drinks order, despite multiple tables who arrived after us being served . This theme continued throughout our visit. That said they were very busy and other diners were getting great service, we unfortunately didnt. It will not stop us returning however as this was just one small blemmish on what was otherwise a very enjoyable and unique experience.

A great place if you've got kids. A fun story is played out while you eat. they've spent a lot of time getting the decor done well. Food, good options for mains, including vegetarian and vegan. The deserts unless you're getting the kids Sunday are a bit expensive for the serving size.

This is an incredible dining experience with amazing scenery, animated dinosaurs, light and sound effects and smoke. If the surroundings were not enough there was also entertainers walking around (we were there at 5pm on a Saturday) - someone dressed as a dinosaur, dancers and stilt walkers. It could be very loud so be prepared if you or a member of your party have sensory issues. The waiting staff were super friendly / attentive to the kids - asking them what there fave animals were and having a joke with them. The cocktails / mocktails were great- the kids loved the glow cups (extra cost). Everyone enjoyed the food and the dessert platter option was delicious with huge portions of each of the 3 desserts on the plate. The restaurant had been sold out so be prepared to book in advance if visiting the wildlife park however as the lights had been cancelled there was lots of empty tables when we were there.

Absolutely Brilliant! Was really taken back, it is really good, well worth a visit, felt like you were in a Disney land restaurant. Loads happening for children and entertainers were ace. We booked in on a whim to finish off our day at the zoo, and this was honestly one of the best dining experiences we have ever been to. Yvette and the whole staff were amazing, there were great performances, and the food was both tasty and very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone who has a chance to go.

Great themed restaurant with lots of moving dinosaurs and people acting, excellent for kids. The meals are pricey but you get enough and it's very nice. Staff are friendly and theres also a small shop.

This place is great. Perfect if you wanted to do parties for your kids as there is tons to look out for, loads that could be themed etc and a good balance of fun and food. They encouraged our kids to walk around and look at dinosaurs and spinning heads along with dragons and pirates and the person seating us was engaging for the kids. Food is perfect, i had a burger with pulled pork. Chips were perfect, burger was moist and large and the pulled pork was banging. Well worth the price. THE CHEESE SAUCE is lush on chips. I went outside of holiday times and had loads of space and parking was good for the other parts around.

It's a great experience (similar to Rainforest Cafe), a lot of effort has been put into the decor, dinosaurs, entertainers etc. but it's really expensive and unfortunately service was a bit slow (45 minutes from being seated just to get drinks). The food for the most part is really nice but the pizzas were really small. Overall quite enjoyable but probably wouldn't go back a second time.

Great place to eat with kids. Very similar to a Rainforest Cafe if you’ve ever dined in one of them. We were in the dinosaur section, believe other side is dragon. Lots going off around you as you wait/eat your food. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Orders taken and food comes promptly. Food itself is good value for money with plentiful portions. Fantastic atmospheric restaurant Great atmosphere, interactive models, great food and service - a truly sensory delight! Treated by my son and his wife and family after a day trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park The children were entertained by the music, and interactive 3D models with spectacular lighting and dry ice Good selection of adult and children menus Children’s drinks come in a prelit cup (see photos) just to add more interest Just a word of warning my meal arrived 30 minutes after everyone else’s - I think they just forgot to bring it ! Very nice food has plenty of tables staff who served throughout the evening was incredibly friendly we had to tip his service he was great. It can be loud as well from the special effects and noises coming from the large ship that is the bar. Burger I had was lovely and 100% beef not some awful fake burger meals are slightly more than say a wetherspoons but taste far better.

Booked for a family tea before going to see the winter lights, we'd been last year and I thought a meal in the Revolution would be a nice added experience. What a disappointment, we waited around to be seated as the reception staff were busy answering the phone, inside it was fairly quiet, tables empty and it wasn't the warmest place inside either. The food was lukewarm and pretty bland, £14 for a spicy chicken burger that I've had better in a chain pub for half the price. The shows didn't really work, the atmosphere was non existent, it all felt flat and forced. We ate and left quickly, vowing that'll we'll never return.

The theming is really really good, the actors/actresses passing around the room are doing various acts / Tricks .. entertaining and fun. The staff we dealt with were all pleasent , friendly and really good. Let's not forget the food... Not a huge choice, especially for children which could have done with more healthier choices and a couple more dessert choices too. But what we had was tasty and very enjoyable. Great place to go .

Unbelievable. Dinosaur themed Restaurant with moving dinosaurs and dinosaur sounds. The bar is a ship wrecked boat. Menu was good range of choices. Kids menu was also good options. The food itself was top class and really good portion sizes. This place is brill and I'll definitely go back.

I honestly don’t understand the business strategy for this place. Clearly there’s been significant investment and the menus are good but the quality of service has reached rock bottom. Had our family Saturday lunch here and they filled my wife’s white wine with ice (no, she didn’t ask for ice in her wine in case you’re wondering) then we ate our food and the staff just vanished and we couldn’t order dessert or even just pay to get the hell out because the staff had all disappeared. All the animals were switched off and the speakers were just playing pirate ship music on a loop. Very sad state of affairs and there just doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge any more.

Upon arrival, we gave our details as we had booked a table. Unfortunately our table had been given to someone else. We were asked to wait in the bar area while they rectified the issue. This wasn't great as we had kids in pushchairs and there wasn't much room. Fortunately this didn't take long and we were shown to our table shortly after. Evolution has live actors/entertainers who interact with the kids and even the adults. This seemed to be great if not a little cringe worthy to begin with. We ordered our starters and mains and then had a long wait. The staff member serving us asked us if we would like our mains while we were still eating our starters, we said we would wait for the adults meals but could they bring the kids meals out. They didn't. 5 minutes passed, so we enquired where they were and the lady informed us that they would be 5 minutes, which made no sense as she offered to bring it out while we were eating our starters!!? We then had another 10-15 minute wait!?? The food arrived and entertainment continued. An entertainer came out with a light stick/sword and climbed up on to a platform which appeared to be designed for entertainers to use. He began swinging his stick around in an erratic manner. This was entertaining for a short while, but the real entertainment began when he hit a hanging lamp close by to the stage. This shattered and glass went all over the table underneath. Fortunately no one was seated at this table. Everyone was baffled and none of the staff really knew what to do. Shortly after we observed all the serving staff stood round clearly laughing about the event which had unfolded. This seemed quite unprofessional. After our food was finished we weren't offered to have our table cleared they just asked if we wanted the bill. We weren't offered to look at the dessert menu. It was almost like they wanted us to leave as they needed the table!! Apart from this the meal was okay, the drinks were okay, and the staff were friendly. Some of the best baby change facilities I have used as well.

Really disappointed - this was our second visit, no atmosphere, had to ask for the anamatronics to be put on, there were no jugglers, acrobats ar any of the previous entertainment!! The food choices had changed and were not as good. We were served our starters without any side plates, thought the waitress had gone to get them, but she had forgotten so had to ask someone else, who was lovely and very attentive. Don't think we will visit a third time. Very disappointed as love the whole dinosaur theme!

Easy booking system. Very fast service and the quality of the food was better than expected- for the speed of service. The surroundings are worth the visit, T-Rex emerging from the undergrowth, spinning Easter Island statues, pirate ship and dragons.

I really enjoyed this place what an experience we expected it to be expensive but thought it was average for this sort of place, it's a must try place would recommend and would very happily go again, we loved everything about it. Gave this a 4 star because its a 5 star rating for the atmosphere but 3 star for food. We had nachos to start as a shares which we did enjoy, we had ribs for main which was nice enough but bland and we also had a pepperoni/jalapeño pizza which was really soggy in the centre.

Children loved being able to explore and got excited at every clash of thunder. I missed seeing the dinosaur that you can get a photo with, luckily children did see it. We saw a "sky dance" which was amazing to watch. I was expecting cheap food with a big price tag, I am grateful to have my bubble burst. Burger was good, son didn't like his bun, it looked fine and he ate the cheese burger minus the bread. I was shocked when my chicken was ½ a chicken and not just a piece of chicken. It would have been nicer with a vegetable or 2 with it, I suggest side salad with it. The staff were friendly, professional and had the correct amount of energy for dealing with children. Our food was very quickly brought out. I was glad that we had some mayonnaise on the table as the greens I had were lacking enough moisture. We were happy to be in the dinosaur/dragon area. We did like the jugs of water being reusing glass bottles. My sort of recycling. Definitely a birthday party location, there were no fewer than 3 while we were there. Pricey plates. Good anniversary meal. A day walking around ywp followed by a meal made a lovely day and the weather helped x..

We took our family as it was my sons birthday. We all thought that the atmosphere was fantastic. The younger children enjoyed seeing the dinosaur pop up and thought the staff were great when performing. The older children and adults agreed that the food wasn't great at all. If you are paying £24 for steak you expect it to taste nice, not full of fat and chewy. 2 of us ordered ribs and there was a huge difference in size between them when they arrived, with little meat on them both. The kids didn't even eat their nuggets. Half our drinks order was forgotten about due to being dropped before they reached the table, we had to ask for them. Overall the food was disappointing but the staff were great.

Well we were really surprised just how great this place is. We came here for a family occasion and would definitely recommend it. We were served by Sarah although all the staff seemed to do a wonderful job. The food was very nice and presented very well. The atmosphere was very unique with the dinosaur models coming to life at timed intervals along with the amazing scenes sounds making this a restaurant to remember.

After a visit to the Sunset Safari at YWP we went for dinner here. Myself and my 11 yr old daughter ordered the Evolution burger and Sharing plate for dessert. The atmosphere was amazing, dinosaurs walking around, t-rex popping out of the trees above you, the giant stone faces moving, thunder and lightning sounds, rain noise, bird sounds, girl covered in lights walking around, explorer visiting tables doing tricks, kids faces were delighted. Daughter is telling everyone it’s the best restaurant she has ever been to. Would highly recommend.

We came to celebrate my brother in laws birthday, after booking on line (timed slot) we arrived and our table wasn't ready, unfortunately it took over half an hour to get us seated to order food - this was slightly off putting as out table was booked for 7.30 and we had 4 children with us, meaning we were then eating quite late. However the service and food was lovely and the added touch of little entertainment bits were great. Overall a nice evening out just shame about the long wait.

We enjoyed our recent visit here. A dinosaur, pirate and dragon themed restaurant with lots to see whilst waiting for your meal. Service was friendly and - in terms of allergens - knowledgeable. Lots of gluten free options such as pasta, pizza and burgers (read the menu carefully, the gluten free icon doesn't appear on many of the dishes but the text says what you can have). We paid £40 for a family of four to have 2x burgers, kids pizza and soft drinks which was OK. Food was tasty and everything was good.

LOVE IT HERE... recommend the Wednesday special night... 2 for 1 burgers for sure. Very family friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic and lots of interactive elements (i don't want to give anything away) a must see to experience for yourself. Prices, I'd say are a few pounds more than your average pub grub but the portion sizes are great and make up for it.

We were dubious about going to this restaurant as we were expecting it to cost a fortune but it was actually really good value for money and the food was really nice. Our server went above and beyond and she was great with our son (3)who was petrified of the t-rex, even snuck him a extra slice of garlic bread to help him feel at ease. He soon calmed down when he roared back at said Dino and he disappeared back into the jungle 🤣

Updated review 2022: Disappointing. Not much choice of food, and not great either. Pizza was quite good, but basic. Other food not up to much. Very expensive for what it is. Last time there was some 'entertainment' throughout the meal, e.g. someone dressed as a dinosaur, dancers, an explorer wandering around. Was expecting even more of this post-Covid but there was none at all. Last time I felt this experience is what justified the price, but without that it's definitely overpriced. It's quite fun having a few dinosaurs around the restaurant, but not really sure about the dragons in the 'Evolution'. It's as if the person who designed the place didn't realise that dragons are made up. Original review from 2021: Interesting experience, but I feel that more could be done with it, maybe post-Covid they will do more interactions, etc. Food was decent, but expensive.

A magical experience for children especially if they are into dinosaurs. A good food selection with from our experience excellent quality and service. I was impressed by how the team of staff were aware of possible safeguarding issues involving customers children and covid safety issues. They also went above and beyond to help in simple ways like quickly seeing someone needed help with a door and ensuring they opened it and then waited to ensure the individual could return to their table without struggling to open the door. A well thought out themed decor welcomed you and entertainment kept the happy atmosphere going. I look forward to a return visit.

Good food, great staff, terrible wait times. We went with friends for a meal, the décor of the place is great, lost Dino kingdom vibes. Their was a costumed entertainer going round to each table with magic tricks to keep children happy. Unfortunately we had more than a 1 hour wait from when our appetizers were brought out to receiving our mains and no amount of entertainment in the world was going to keep 4 hungry children happy. When the food did arrive it was great, apart from one of our group who had salmon and it was tough and rubbery. Overall, it was a nice meal but I would not be going again due to the wait time for the meal, if you are thinking of going, try and book at quieter times for hopefully speedier food

Decent food, and a little pricey. However the staff do need to pay a bit more attention to what's going off with customers. It was surprisingly not busy when we ate but after 30mins we still had to leave the table to ask them to come and take our order; the starters arrived quickly, but when the mains were bought to the table only 2 of 3 were bought out and after a short while we had to ask about the missing main. Also the wrong drink was bought out.

This place is great excellent, this is the second time we have been, the kids absolutely love it, there is a dinosaur that walk through the restaurant, the have a couple of people that walk around with puppets, they also had a fire juggler type person who entertained the kids. The food was outstanding, the pizzas are huge even the kids portion is huge. Definitely recommend you go here.

The moving scenery is excellent, the lady with the baby dinosaur and monkey is awesome and so interactive with our granddaughter, I went based on a recommendation- I would recommend this to almost anybody

Great theme and great experience !Menu is little limited I.e all dishes contain chips/fries . Prices are reasonable for a Venue of this type . Would be nice to see in the future bigger range of desserts for children , or a few more sharing desserts for family maybe a few different alternatives to fries such as mash /roast or boiled potatoes and lastly bottomless soft drinks would be a good idea probably for an additional small cost .

Really sad to say yet again poor poor service at our table following on from a shocking experience New Year’s Eve. We thought NYE was a one off having had 2 amazing nights here before but tonight is the last straw, started ok with drinks and starter but was then rushed so they could get the main out…finished main course and then was left 30 minutes with no one coming to our table and unable to flag anyone down…finally our waitress came so we asked for a dessert menu but sadly again she left and never came back with that menu….All in all I really don’t think they can cope when busy!!!

Waited 45 minutes for a table even though I booked. This is the second time we've been and standards have already dropped in only a few months. Service not as good, food not as good, entertainment not as good and waiting time quite disgusting. Was a treat for my children and they were disappointed. Won't be going back in a hurry. I even had to go to the bar to ask to pay the bill because and even then I was waiting 10 minutes.

Atmosphere was great for the kids, the dinosaurs, the storms etc, shipwreck bar..and the moving dum dums were excellent (although the kids did cover their ears due to the volume being so high for the sound effects, and being seated right next to the speakers haha they didn't like that). Food did take a while to arrive, and when it did tasted great but was a little on the cool side (couldn't find our waitress to sort it so just ate it, haha, had a long enough wait already. #kidswerestarving Another waitress realised we required service (and we so wish we got her name as she was excellent, and deserved credit) and from then on we enjoyed the whole experience... the kids said we should deffo go there again. 👏😁

Great staff, surprisingly excellent food, and so much going on! Magicians, stilt walkers, animatronic dinosaurs, ghost ships, great family entertainment. Piri piri chicken was amazing as was the white chocolate and strawberry cheesecake.
