Had a lovely evening at the City Restaurant. Menu options are great, my partner and I both tried meats we'd not had before which the chef cooked to perfection. And the staff made us feel genuinely really welcome. Complimentary starter and digestive and discount for next visit. Oh and they chased us down the road to give me back my purse which I had forgotten!! 10/10 customer service! Will definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely meal!

we were om a road trip from Kent to Scotland and we wanted to stop to eat in Doncaster. we didn't any restaurant is dog friendly except here 😍😍, we were surprised of how beautiful is this place and how friendly and lovely the staff . marco was absolutely very welcoming and helped us to choose from the menu . the food is amazing ,so so so delicious 😋 we will come back on our way home thanks a lot 😍

I found this restaurant online yesterday looking for a dog friendly place to have dinner as we were visiting family and had our dog with us. Normally we would end up having to eat in a pub or cafe as most restaurants do not allow dogs but I found The City Restaurant online and was impressed by the menu and all the great reviews. This place was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. It was such a nice meal. If this place was in my neighbourhood, I’d eat there weekly. I’m even going to try to book my mother in law’s birthday meal there in august. I hope this restaurant is doing well enough to survive the pandemic and the constant rising of prices. It was honestly one of my best dining experiences since I’ve liked in England.

Very nice restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic and fairly priced with good portion size The gent that served us was very professional and welcoming speaking both Polish and English. After our meal we got a 10% off the next visit which we will be using. Would highly recommend.

Went there with my wife for a Treat Great food, Best sirloin steak I've had in a while. My wife had the Venison steak that was also very good. We had a very relaxed meal. Will definitely be going back to try out some other dishes on the menu. Great service. Great food Great setting.

The food I ordered was amazing, goats cheese with beetroot, it was lovely followed by Winer schizel? with fresh cooked vegetables was absolutely brilliant. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Doncaster crown. I will certainly be back. The cocktail I ordered was better than I expected, and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The staff were very polite and attentive.

One of the best meals I've had in a long while. A variety of European dishes, including some you don't see on many other menus. Everything was delicious and with the various offers, such as kids eat free or the 25% off theatre deal, it is also good value for money.

Really lovely homely restaurant tooked away in Doncaster centre, a real hidden gem. Incredible customer service by all staff, nothing was too much to ask. The food was unique for the area; such as Wild boar and venison. All food well cooked and flavored. The beers and largers were from different countries/regions the gent there showed great knowledge on them and it expanded my knowledge on different drinks. It may be slightly more expensive than the other local restaurants but the quality of the food, service and environment really is worth the value. Can't wait to visit Doncaster again and try other dishes on the menu. :)

The 1 member of staff was very pleasant. The grilled cheese was lovely. However, we both left our mains. One was a little tough (chicken) and the schnitzal (spelling maybe wrong) tasted of grease and lacked flavour. The interior is wonderful.
