Went here last night. Booked online which was quick and easy to do. First time here at this restaurant, been wanting to come since it had its makeover. We are well travelled when it comes to curry restaurants. We both said what a lovely experience it was. The food was really tasty and well presented. The staff are super super friendly and cannot do enough to make your experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend anyone going here for a night out with family or friends. They have also got an amazing function room upstairs that needs to be seen to be appreciated. Go and try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

I've been to the Indus and ordered takeaway many times from them. Always very good quality. We recently had a party there and they were wonderful at all times, really fantastic service and very attentive. Our guests are still taking about how nice the food was. The function room has recently been refurbished too and has a great vibe to it. Highly recommended for service and quality.

We had our wedding reception here yesterday. I cannot thank naz and his team enough for how amazing they made it for us. The venue is stunning, accommodated us for everything that we needed. The food was AMAZING! All our guests complemented how nice it was, some have already booked tables to come back! The bar staff were very welcoming and even got on the dance floor with us, and entertained the kids. Staff serving our meals timed it perfectly, 48 of us and not one starter or main mixed up, or missed. Not one thing went wrong for us, if you’re thinking of having your wedding reception here. Do it! I would do it all over again back here, and I will 100% be a returning customer. Thank you

5 stars for the food absolutely incredible, however I'm disappointed on the delivery side of it,we have children and dogs and if a gate is closed on arrival then you should close it when you leave. 3 times in the last 2 weeks of ordering they've left the gate open,had to prompt them when the driver was about to get in his car to close the gate. Keep up the good work guys but please have a word with your driver's regarding this matter. 10/10 food

Wonderful service and gorgeous food. Arrived early for a booked table. The time came and went for the booking so asked at the bar if our table was ready. Was told the booking was showing for 15 mins after we had made the booking so this was reason no one had invited us to the table. We were then taken to the table straight away. Beautiful surroundings, not full but still busy for the first hour we were there. Polite and friendly staff. Both of us chose something we had never tried before and were not disappointed. Beautifully made food. Would visit again and not leave it too long in between visits next time.

Went for the very reasonably priced buffet night, very busy over the Christmas period. Traditional well cooked and flavoursome starters and curries with all the accompaniments, special mention for the Bengali fish, delicious white moist fish in classic spices.

Was lucky enough to DJ upstairs for a great couple who were celebrating their marriage with family and friends. (PS great room for anyone looking for a spot to entertain). Even luckier that they invited me to eat from their Buffett put on by the restaurant, OMG what a wonderful array of tastes and flavours. The whole Buffett was full of unique flavours and did not disappoint in any way, shape or form…. The Saag Aloo and the Chicken Tikka were especially stand out from an outstanding spread, well done the Restaurant Team. Can’t wait to head back with friends from our Village Curry Club to try the full menu in the near future. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 6.30pm on a Friday evening on arrival seem to be confused whether or not a table was available however after a bit of an interval we were shown to a table Food here is pretty good not the best I've had but a long way of the worst and we have had many curries all over the country My problem with Indus is the intense service starters being dumped on the table when still only half way through the poppadoms and mains arriving immediately after the starters without being asked if we were ready a three course meal beginning to end in forty minutes is hardly an enjoyable or relaxing night out...not local but would definitely not go back on a Friday night

An amazing restaurant. Inside the restaurant is lovely and clean. The staff are always welcoming and approachable, but not too attentive. There is a wide selection of food with plenty of options for vegetarians/vegans. Their food is rich in flavour and never disappoints. The whole menu is reasonably priced too. I can’t say a negative factor about this restaurant - it is faultless.

Popped in here for a takeaway one weekend and noticed how busy the restaurant was with a buzzing atmosphere so decided to bring the whole family along a couple of weeks later ranging from 6 - 80 years of age. We ordered a takeaway as we are staying at the cl on Clifton hill. The order came early and we weren't there, but they rang and said they would come back. We hoped it wouldn't come back cold. We went for my son’s 18th birthday meal last night and it was fantastic. The food, atmosphere and service were all excellent. The food is always of great quality and it didn’t disappoint any of the 20 guests. Nas always ensures that his customers are happy and adds the extra touches to make sure the experience is a great one. Last night, the staff provided him with a flaming Sambucca and song which went down a treat! Some of our party, who had travelled further afield to get there, hadn’t been before and stated that they wished that they had a restaurant on their doorstep like The Indus. I’m from Bradford and I’d like to think I know curry’s….. but to say my first experience eating at the Indus was an eye opener would be a massive understatement! Food and Host Amazing Nas accommodated me and my family at last minute, on a busy Friday evening. We didn’t know what the food would be like, not coming from the area however, we were blown away by the flavours!! The drinks were fantastic as well as the service. All of the waiters interacted with us and made us feel so welcome, even with a toddler!! Thank you all for a wonderful evening. We shall be back, the next time we are up north!

On Wednesday 14th April, my husband and I celebrated our grandsons 18th birthday at the Indus Conisbrough. What a great choice of venue. Twenty family and friends had a great evening. The food was outstanding. Everyone pre-ordered individual choices which I thought may have proved difficult to serve at the same time but there were no problems. The service was excellent provided by a very friendly and cheerful staff. One of the staff members led the “happy birthday song” which was supported by everyone in the restaurant. It made my grandsons night. I can’t recommend the Indus enough.

Been here few many times before which l always had a great experience and the food was amazing, we decided to go this Saturday for the first time after the lockdown. We went without reservation, and beside was extremely busy the staff they were very nice and quick found us a table, very polite staff members, every single one. Overall, we had a great meal at The Indus. We were unfamiliar with the format (you order in the bar, before being seated in the restaurant) and this was inconvenient with young children. Having passed that hurdle, we had a great time. The food was excellent and the service was good throughout. The restaurant is well decorated and a pleasant place to enjoy a meal.

If I could score more I would...What can I say....this has got to be the best restaurant i have ever been to. The food is absolutely fantastic ( i am quite picky when it comes to food!) I've eaten in Indus a number of times and it has always been excellent, not the best local Indian, but very good. We've have also had a dozen or so take aways which has always proven to be delicious and fairly cheap. The only exception was the buffet night. They had no rice or plates left and most of the Currys were down to just a sauce.

Food was good. Popodoms served quickly along with array of pickle tray (selection of 8 items) their onion bahjis are more like irregular nuggets rather than the preferred flat disc shaped items but they were tasty. Prawn puree mixture was sweet and tasty. Prawns were firm but the flat bread was a bit chewy and thicker than I'm used to. Noticed quite a few of their mains included the dreaded green pepper. I sampled the safe butter chicken which was a bit different to all the other dishes with the same name but it was very good and the chicken was very tender. Other dish I sampled was a lamb Karahki (spelling may be wrong). - again very tasty with tender meat. Special rice was plentiful included small amounts of red and green pepper 🙄 - (you may have gathered I'm not a fan of green peppers 😝) also has sultanas which add a bit of sweetness but no peas or mushroom just bits of onion. Decor is fine enough. Televised Indian dance videos more suited for us males rather than women but I suppose it's sadly the norm with the majority of music videos of today. Toilets looked clean enough but toilet seat was broken/loose and the soap dispenser needed topping up. Prices were probably on a par with most other Indian restaurants and, like with most Indian restaurants ( why?). You get an itemised food bill with this extra chunk added at the end under the heading 'DRINKS' - making groups having difficulty in adding individual bills up. Like, if you have a 'fish' knocking back the beers one after the other and a driver who has just a half with such a diverse mixture of drink consumed is difficult to work out.
