Fantastic place - had mini fish & chips (shown in pic) great value these days at £4.80 takeaway. V crisp chips and fresh fish - almost too tempting....on to 3rd visit. Pleased to see the takeaway and restaurant invested in. Glen nearby for eating on a sunny day.

Absolutely astounding fish tea tonight. Such choice, and portion options. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. A new young girl starting, who did very well and you can tell she's going to be a great asset to the team. Young chap also very pleasant indeed. Could not ask for better. The take away fish and chips also very enjoyable. Definitely be back. Good value for money.

Impromptu stop here when we got hungry on a car journey. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a regular fish and chips and a mini fish and chips which were good value. The fish tasted fresh with a great batter and the chips were the best chip shop chips I've had. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious freshly made food but best of all they also have pretty much the full menu gluten-free options every Tuesday and Sunday. (even their sausages!) It’s really good to have somewhere that actually caters for those of us that cannot touch gluten, miraculously at an extremely good price. The staff are so friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend trying here as you won’t be disappointed.

Had a mini fish and chips tonight. Really excellent ! Nice thick little haddock in light batter with lovely fresh chips. Perfectly cooked. A refreshing change from the usual thin, grey fish in undercooked batter which seems to be the standard offering in other chip shops. Keep up the good work!

I've been on a quest to find really good fish and chips since arriving in Scotland. I hail from Northumberland and have always preferred the dish in the motherland. Was charmed this evening to try cod and chips from Jim Jack's Fish and Chips and find it was so good! The batter was the best mix of crispy and light. Best I've had in Scotland and please believe me that I have tried many! The battered sausages were delicious too! Will be back!

First time in the shop since the new owners. All I can say is superb in every way! Got the fish supper the fish was so fresh the batter light and crisp and the chips had no grease and crispy, also the price was very good. Also the owner served us and he made all the difference as he was so pleasant and had a smile and conversation while we waited for our fish to be ready. Would recommend you go here if you're in Dunfermline, you won't be disappointed.

The food is always lovely but the dine in service is not quite there. Some examples - we were ready to order for a while and several customers who came in after us were served before us. Then the staff started cleaning tables (there was no dine in customers waiting for a table) and we then had to ask to have our order taken. Only some of our food arrived, we had to remind them to bring other items we had ordered. The juice glasses were straight out the dishwasher and roasting hot, not ideal for a cold drink. But the dine in supper tea is really great value for money and the food makes up for the little service details

First time trying this place. The fish is very tasty! We didn’t feel disgusting after eating it like we do with most chippy’s. It wasn’t greasy, the batter was crunchy and light and the meat was delicious. The only draw back is the amount of chips you get with the fish supper otherwise it would’ve been a 5 star.

I can honestly say this is the best cod and chips I have ever had. I can say a big thank you to the cook. I called and asked if the cod was fresh before arriving and guess what it was 100% fresh. Normally I don't eat batter off the fish but I ate the lot and I could eat another but I arrived at closing time so I will be back tomorrow for more.

Looking for a change today and came across this place. Had a look at the reviews and sounded promising. Went in and ordered 2 fish suppers and 2 mini sausages and couldn't wait to try them. My oh my, I would go as far as to say, this has to be the best chippy in Fife. Seriously, it was all amazing and cooked while you wait. The staff were nice and it is a decent price for superb food. Hope it stays this way and tbf, hearing customers while in there saying how happy they are with the food, I think they will. Highly recommend.

Jim Jack's has just opened at the end of November. Had a fish tea in the restaurant with my husband, food was excellent and freshly cooked to order and generous portions. Choice of other items on menu range from baked potatoes, burgers and normal items from a fish and chip shop. They also do small portions which I will definitely be having the next time I visit. It is so nice to have a fish and chip shop with a restaurant area as we always used to go to Alari's when it was open. We will definitely be going here again.

Just had my second visit to this Fish and Chip Restaurant (previously Alari's). Absolutely top class freshly cooked boneless and skinless haddock in a lovely batter served with peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. This is the only fish and chips I will eat and I have tried the whole of Dunfermline,Cowdenbeath and Burntisland. This is on a par with Anstruther and Bridge of Allan. Cannot praise it enough and great value for the money.
