The best staff, so friendly and accommodating to requirements. Food is always of high quality, never had a missing or wrong item in order. Portion size is good for the price. Deliveries are always on time, even during busy periods. Highly recommend, best chinese takeaway for miles.

Delicious food. We've lived in and around Durham for many years and tried all the local Chinese takeaways. This is our favourite. Never been disappointed yet. Food is delivered piping hot and always cooked perfectly. Staff are friendly too

My son ordered i had the curry box with rice noodles a chicken curry with chips my son ordered a salt and pepper chicken box i can only say what I tasted and the chicken for me is frozen and tasteless and I didn't enjoy it. We place our order to pick up at 6.40 on the 2nd October 2020 so you can check I'm just put a new review just to thing wright since the above review iv had one or two more meals from Durham Chinese and the have been really nice I only think it is wright to put a good review after a good few nice meals 😋😋😋

I had the sweet and sour house special this evening and wow. It had a lovely taste and not too sickly! One of the best I've ever had. I think I've tried nearly everything on the menu over the last year, and not yet had a bad meal.

We have had several different dishes from the Durham Chinese and they are delecious. They are exactly how they are described in the menu. Always piping hot.Staff taking orders and delivery drivers are very pleasant. Well done.

Had special Kung po , soft noodles , fried rice, chips, the dish itself was ok , rice and noodles dry and tasteless. Chips didn’t reach the plates went in the bin . All in all very average , I’ll stick to thornley Chinese from now on

Gave this Chinese another go, and I was not disappointed. The staff were really friendly and helpful, to which I Ordered Chicken in a black pepper sauce. Having eaten Chinese food around the U.K., I have yet to find a sauce anywhere near as good as this one. It was just wow on every front. The only thing I can Say is, just try it. Cooked, flavoured and seasoned to perfection.

My first Chinese takeaway experience in Durham and let me tell you, this was the BEST! Literally, the best Chinese I've had in years!! I am severely sensitive to gluten and the kind owner was able to take the time to explain to me which items on the menu contain gluten, which is very minimal, because most of the menu is gluten free! My boyfriend and I enjoyed loads of food for a fair price-- I know what I will be eating tomorrow for lunch! :D Hands down one of the best Chinese I've ever had! The facility is so clean and inviting, the staff are friendly and the food is ready quick! I will certainly be ordering from them again, especially the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken and the beef and green pepper in black bean sauce!!

After reading the reviews, we decided to try here, we were very satisfied with our meals, (king prawn chow mein and sweet n sour chicken in batter with egg fried rice). Very fast delivery, reasonable price, and piping hot when it arrived. However, have to knock 1 star off as the extra portion of bean sprouts were soggy and in lots of water, but the dog enjoyed them, lol. Will definately order again.

Great reviews on facebook but I didn't rate it very highly. Duck rolls one had a bone in it, the chicken chow mein wasn't very tasty and they only take cash - no cards, which they didn't warn me before i collected my order!

As I was walking past Mr. Cheng’s, not even considering going in, he gave me a polite wave. It was such a nice small gesture that I felt compelled to go in and buy something. The takeaway itself is minimalist yet homely, the food cheap and tasty, and the owner adorable. I’ll definitely be going again.
