•Require reservation• — A very good quality Turkish cuisine restaurant. We ordered mixed grill for two. It was great and really tasty! I recommend it if you are with a friend. It comes with lamb, chicken, rice, and salad. They offered bread at the beginning and complementary Turkish delight with the bill. What a also liked is that they have a clean toilet.

Foods are so delicious. Friendly service. Foods are served quickly. The atmosphere and decor are also nice. Generally speaking, it is a great place for having dinner. Recommend chocolate brownie and chicken ala crema.

We had a really warm welcome here, the customer service was brilliant and the food was delicious. It was out first time eating here but we would highly recommend it . We chose the lunch deal and we were served good sized portions and went away very full!

🍮🍮TURKISH KITCHEN 🍮🍮 Cocktails were very strong.. always a plus 😊 My starter was the spicy sausage which was delicious but not spicy at all accompanied with salad on the side which was dressed beautifully. Mains were the spicy lamb pot which was indeed spicy but it was cooked with coconut milk and much more. 10/10 My friend got the mousakka which is a vegetarian option and it was lovely and filling. We got apple Turkish tea 10/10 and a good old Turkish coffee to suit the theme haha. Serve was great very fast no complaints at all. Really nice juicy lamb, attentive friendly staff, had a lovely evening! Portions are large but so tasty we just about managed to finish them. I'd said we were there for a birthday when booking and we got a great corner booth, warm welcome for our 'celebration' and a 'surpise' at the end. Modern Turkish restaurant in the heart of historic Durham. My daughter chose this restaurant for dinner on the evening after her graduation ceremony at the nearby Cathedral. We booked in advance, I've no idea if it's this busy every Monday outside of graduation weeks, but imagine it is on weekends and booking is advisable. The food was excellent, tasty, well prepared and presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, without being overbearing. The decor is modern and clean. Our party all enjoyed the evening and would recommend the restaurant.

First class service with absolutely delicious food. Honestly, go here. The food is INCREDIBLE. You will be blown away, I don't think you would be dissapointed with any of the options provided. We opted for the mese starter for two (pistured), which was perfect for the four of us cos we just couldn't decide what to get. And yes, the four of us! Their portion sizes are really generous. Me and my partner shared the mixed grill for two as a main and my parents had their own mains. The whole meal was super tasty and really good price too which is even better. The staff honestly made the meal too, they were super friendly and helpful and they were always on hand if you needed them. Huge thank you for a great night.

Alex and the team offer excellent service with Alex’s Father in the Kitchen making tradition Turkish dishes for us all to enjoy. The taste of the dishes are outstanding. This was only our third visit but the food was wonderful again, we called in earlier for an anniversary celebration with my daughter and son in law and the large table wasn’t big enough 😂 but Inese our waitress for the afternoon shift was very professional and attentive and soon had an other table to accommodate our choice of food. I am sure if you try it you will be back👍💯

Definitely recommend, food was fresh and delish. The service was great, we hadn't booked a spot but really wanted to give the place a try. While passing we had a look in and saw it was really busy so decided to quickly check if we could book in for an hour's time. The staff were lovely and managed to squeeze us in. I'm so happy they did. The Meze starter for 2 was outstanding. It should be a main not a starter it was beautiful and everything was very tasty, we really struggled with the mains after the starter though, there was so much there.

Met up with friends in Durham for food and weren't sure where to go so ended up here by chance but were not disappointed. We enjoyed it so much we're planning to return to Durham again soon to try other items on the menu. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I had beef moussaka and it was really tasty and just the right portion size. My husband had lamb kofte and said it tasted amazing. If I lived closer this would be my new go to restaurant.

Great place; Great food. I should give them 5 star but, the only thing was it was too crowded and they were checking a couple of times to see if we are finished and ready to move out! That made us finish our food early and leave. I did not like that part.

Fixed price lunch menu for two. A pleasant change to all the usual burger offerings around the town. Sardines and hummus starter followed by moussaka and a mixed kofte platter. Pleasant decor and staff, attentive without being imposing. Well priced, food good quality and well presented. I liked the Efes draft bottled beer. Would return which isn't out normal habit.

Popped in on a whim and we were not disapointed. I had mixed Kofti and my wife mixed shish kebab. They tasted wonderful and the portions were large enough that we did not have capacity to visit the ice-cream shop opposite. Early Sunday evening and only one other couple in. Hadn't had Turkish meal for a while so came here before Luminex at the cathedral. Complimentary bread and dips very nice as was merlot and his beer . Moussaka a little disappointing as I like it standing up for itself and not sloppy but was very tasty. He enjoyed taste if his chicken à la crema but again the potato mash was very sloppy and almost needed a spoon. Could be that it's supposed to be like that so apologies. Good service. We booked a table for six on Saturday evening. The food and service was excellent. So many things on menu to try and will have to return to try more. It was fully booked with a great atmosphere. Attended as part of a large group and I can’t recommend Turkish Kitchen highly enough. The setting is beautiful from the decor to the ambient music, the staff go above and beyond to help and are happy to give menu advice and suggestions. We ordered two courses each and all 11 of us couldn’t fault a thing, the food was absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing place to spend time with the family or friends. Alex the manager is very approachable also very friendly staff. Restaurant is incredibly clear inside and beautifully designed. Except of all of this you can eat teasty dishes in reasonable price.

Delicious traditional freshly cooked Turkish food Service, food and drinks are all lovely and very competitively priced. The interior is immaculate and very inviting. I’ve been meaning to leave feedback for this gem of a place for a while and after our third visit I have now made the time. Having had numerous delicious takeaways from Turkish kitchen we finally made it to the restaurant last night. Everything about the experience was fantastic. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The food was absolutely superb - can strongly recommend the mixed meze platter for 2 and the spicy prawn pot. We popped in today for something different and it was delicious! Nice decor, friendly waiting staff and gorgeous food. Excellent takeaway quality and service - order delivered right on schedule with hot dishes still hot. It's great to have authentic İskender kebab with döner meat as this is not universal in UK Turkish restaurants. Portions are generous, i.e. challenging to finish in one sitting. Very much looking forward to visiting the premises in the future when they are permitted to open.
