Reviews of Condita

This was my first ever experience at a Michelin-star rated restaurant, and it was incredible! The staff was very responsive, even back to the e-mail correspondence it took to finalize our reservation. It's a cozy restaurant. There were only three other groups dining with us, so the staff was very attentive to when we needed more water or if we had questions about the various dishes. We were served the standard and vegetarian menus, and EVERYTHING was delicious. Each of the wines were perfectly paired, too. It was fun to play with how each dish looked, smelled, and tasted. I'll remember this night forever!

We ate here last night and it does definitely deserve its Michelin star. We opted for the vegetarian and pescetarian tasting menu with wine paired to each course.
If I was to taste each element out of ten then it would be this:
Food: 10.
Wine Pairing: 10 (the best ever).
Staff: 10.
Decor: 5 (the place could use a good interior design architect - speak to me if you want advice on this).
We've eaten in dozens of Michelin star restaurants and some have disappointed but Condita surpassed my expectations. The food and wine were overall amazing. My complements to whoever paired the wine with the food. You nailed it!
It's a real shame about the decor and lighting. The place is really crying out for a good designer but it takes nothing away from the amazing food and wine.

Absolutely outstanding tasting menu with first class quality food and wines. The staff were friendly and extreme knowledgeable, it was hard to pick a favourite dish as they were all first class with a great amount of work and effort going into the preparation of each. The menu was fun, it was in picture format and included a picture of an elect from each dish, this sparked plent debate as to what the different courses would be. I would highly recommend and will most definitely be back.

Not cheap but you are getting a wide selection of masterclass dishes, none of which on our visit hit a wrong note. Add to this an extensive wine list and you have a memorable evening. It's quite clear their reputation is well earned.

Wow. We've heard the buzz surrounding this place and it's justified.
Great small dishes presented delicately in a non pretentious manner. Tasteful and packed with flavour.
The restaurant is a great size and matches the mood of the food well.
Due to covid restrictions no alcohol was permitted but the team provided non alcoholic substitutes that paired well.
Highly recommended for a visit. Sure we will attempt to get back when we can.

This is a great restaurant. The staff are excellent taking their time to explain what you are eating and drinking. The matched wines were great and they were not stingy with the volume they gave. All in all a great experience will definitely go again.
Have recently visited this restaurant again. It was as good as the last time. No alcohol though due to tier system in place because of covid 19

Utterly fabulous! This new restaurant is a true gem and one which truly deserves patronage and success. The simple and well thought through seasonal decor is the first thing to delight your senses. The attentive and knowledgeable staff are on hand to talk you through the varied and interesting menu.
Fabulous Scottish produce, complimented by other imported produce that I've rarely seen. The attention to detail and delivery of the food was outstanding. The wines too are carefully selected by the owner to compliment each course. Some wines are unique to Condita, being directly imported from the vineyard. All are organic.
It was a wonderful dining experience from start to finish and I recommend it 100%.

I returned to Condita and it was outstanding once again. Hopefully people fine the photos enticing and go to check it out themselves. Utterly wonderful!

Wow! First time there. Flavours and technicality of the food is amazing. Huge credit to all the staff on the floor. Attentive, helpful and friendly. They help make the experience. Already booked for a return in June 2022.

We came here last night to celebrate the purchase of the new house and we really did have the best time. The food was utterly amazing from start to finish. We loved the fact that the menu was secret and all you could guess from was the bookmark you were given at the start of the meal. Every single course was better than the last, and even waiting between courses built the anticipation for the next one! That’s the first time I’ve come across that in a fine dining restaurant and it really made my night. Would 110% recommend!

If you are a penny pincher or a control freak stay away. One of the other reviewers on here posted a one star review - and from her perspective she was completely justified in her rating. This is a Marmite kind of place, and it may well not work for you.
If you are able to relax into it, and let the menu take you on a surprising journey; the food and service here is sublime: the team are charming attentive and well-informed - and will suggest unique wines that pair perfectly with the food.
After 3 hours and 10 courses we left contentedly fed, not full to bursting; with great memories of each course etched in our mind.
As sophisticated a menu as Pujol in México City, as welcoming a team as Sabor in London.
A delight.

What a tasting experience!

An excellent food experience! The environment: An ambient, simple but well decorated hall, overseen by two very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food and wine seem to be matching perfectly. Expect to be offered a series of well-cooked courses, with local sourced seasonal ingredients, all of them presented and explained thoroughly. Wines are successfully selected to pair each course, coming from various vineyards across the world. The chef is willing to explain every detail (and even share recipes). Generally a great tasting experience. Perhaps on the expensive side for the average customer but totally worth it. Highly recommended.

We were looked after beautifully. It was a lovely evening with amazing food. A great night out for a special occasion.

The interior is beautifully minimalistic and changes seasonally, and although it only has 8 table covers, the restaurant itself isn't too small. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with a smile and got our first glimpse of the intimate evening that would follow. Our table was right next to the kitchen (the best table in our opinion) which allowed us to watch the expert chefs plate up our dishes right in front of us.
The menus are designed and hand-drawn by members of the Condita team which adds both a personal touch and an air of mystery! Each picture represented a key ingredient from each of the dishes on the surprise 8-course tasting menu. This made things even more exciting as it allowed our imaginations to run wild trying to guess what amazing foodie combinations would arrive in front of us next.
The food is everything you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, outstanding flavours, beautiful presentation and
when it came to the wine pairing, every glass we had complimented the flavours of the course it was paired with perfectly (and usually we're quite picky!).

A superb experience from start to finish, superbly balanced tasting menu and matching wines, great staff and understated but quality surroundings. Well done!!

Wonderful, entertaining meal with very well matched wines. Food was excellent and very different tastes. We opted for the 8 course dinner and we were not disappointed with any course. Well worth a visit and we will return for another meal soon.

Our visit to Condita for the 8 course tasting menu and wine pairing has been the best fine dining that my wife and I have experienced . The tastes that Head Chef Connor and sous chef Spyros produce are amazing . The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly . The staff are very knowledgeable , and passionate about what they do. We can't wait to return for another great evening.

Outstanding service. Awesome food with lots of stuff from their own garden. Gorse parfait was delicious. Matched wines were well considered and good value for the quality.

Wonderful. An experience like no other. A sublime dining experience. Seared Chicken Teriyaki with smoked Eel a highlight. Highly recommended.

'pleasant' but surely a Michelin starred restaurant should be more than this? Eight nice courses but nothing memorable.
S. M.
Delicious, pretty food, lovely accompanying wines, freindly helpful staff. Lovely evening.

(Translated) The most delicious food I've ever eaten in my life. A delicious Disneyland, so exciting and fun. The funniest thing is that we were abroad, in a Michelin star restaurant, and we felt so warm and cordial thanks to the Greek chef Mr. Katrides. Unique experience!
