Really enjoyed the whole time here. We were made to feel so welcomed by the staff from ordering the tasty martinis at the bar and the flavoursome food. Good selection of wines too.

A very pleasant experience overall; food was really nice, especially the seabass, oysters - excellent, good cocktails as well, although some were just tiny. Staff were very attentive and with number of waiters visible throughout - this appears to be a norm. Left the place very happy, which is all one could wish for.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I have gone back and forth and have to say that this has been the best place we have ever been to. The food is outstanding, the cocktails out of this world and the service is beyond reproach. The entire service is one well oiled machine. Fast service and no long waits between courses. Unlike other places with a named chef Stuart was actually there working away with his team. Huge thank you to Christina who waited on us and Ollie from the bar who served great drinks and went off menu for us to create several drinks for us that were amazing. Most certainly we will be back and will recommend this to everyone we know coming to Edinburgh.

We have been at Dine yesterday for dinner and it has been amazing. The booking process was quick and straightforward, you can do everything on the website. The menù doesn’t offer a huge amount of choices but there is something for every taste, I would definitely recommend the wood pigeon as a starter and the honey glazed duck as a main. On the other hand I was hoping for some more choices of desserts, in the end we opted for the cheese selection, but in my opinion it looked a bit poor, maybe some more biscuits would have helped. A part from this all the staff has been amazing, they made sure everything was fine and even made some cocktails that were not on the menù. The atmosphere was really nice as well, would definitely recommend it for a special night out.

Four in our party. Service was excellent. All dishes were delicious and well presented. Cocktails were fairly priced and arrived quickly after ordering. Ambience in the restaurant is lacking. The decor is worn and surfaces dusty. The table top was bare Formica, damaged in places and the pillars close to the table were damaged and dirty. A table cloth would be expected for this type of dining. We finished with drinks in the bar. Quite lively crowd towards the end of the evening. Friendly atmosphere. Needs some attention to the setting for the five stars.

Definitely a pleasant experience. Nice food and a polite and helpful service. As a teatotal, had a Cinderella mocktail which was absolutely amazing. It transferred me to a holiday resort in Bali. Oysters were some of the best ones I've had, would definitely recommend.

First time I have been here but was with friends who have been before. Table wasn't ready when we arrived which was disappointing. Very busy and noisy. Very small portions and don't know how they justify the price of the cauliflower starter. My main was tasty but again small portion. I cook myself and when I go out I actually want something that I think was worth the money. For people who don't cook it is probably nice. Definitely not worth the money

Not recommend for the market menu (49.50 for a couple with free bottle of wine) the wine make me a super strong headache after went back home, and a very bad stomach feeling. The price is very cheap but if you want to try a high level food here then maybe this market menu is not what you want to try. I will find a time to visit again to see how good their main menu is.

Loved the food we had as a gift for Christmas. No idea of prices but the fid was delicious. We did think £17.00 was a bit steep for 2 'topups' of Champagne though. That said, we will go back again for a special occasion. The staff were very attentive but not too much.

We visited for lunch today to celebrate my mum’s 90th birthday. Everything from start to finish was wonderful! We ordered the "Dine at Home" menu to celebrate a birthday during the lockdown period. We enjoyed the three course menu with wine and cocktails. The quality of everything was absolutely five stars, especially the Beef Bourguignon we had for main course which was exceptional. The boxes arrived on the day very well packaged with clear, easy instructions for reheating. Our experience could not have been better and I thoroughly recommend. The price was also really fair, taking into account that we ordered a full bottle of wine, cocktails and three courses for two people. Well done, Dine! Outstanding!

SUPERB! The dining experience here was pretty much faultless, and to pick fault would be splitting hairs. Staff were attentive, kind, knowledgeable and courteous. They helped make the evening, with simple touches such as topping up the water glasses and knowing the menu and asking if there were any questions. The menu was not the most extensive but offered enough choice for all including vegetarians. I felt like they would accommodate well anyone who had dietary requirements (not that it applied in my case). Included in the menu was details of where the produce actually came from, most of which I believe was in Scotland and within a few miles, how can you fault this. The presentation, quality and taste of the food was just fantastic and all for prices that was not much more than your typical high-street chain outlet. I would eat here again in a heartbeat. A midweek booking at 8.30 the restaurant was relatively quiet and somewhat surprising given the experience, I was genuinely surprised it was not busier.

We visited Dine, using the Itison voucher that cost £40 for 3 courses and a glass of champagne for two. After looking at the reviews it seemed like a good deal. Well, Done did not disappoint us! For starter we had the fish cake which was really tasty and a good portion, if anything it was a tiny bit dry but still cleared the plate 😁 For main we both chosen Lamb... Omg, best bit of lamb I've had in a while! Everything was spot on with this dish, well seasoned, perfectly cooked! For dessert we had the raspberry (can't remember what it was called) thing. This dish could have done with some improvement, we both found it that it could have been more tasteful! It didn't taste bad and we still cleared the plate but we couldn't taste the raspberry much. All in all, it was a good night, staff were helpful and friendly! Definitely worth a visit and we will be back!

I chose this restaurant for location, decor and the menu. I couldn't have known how lovely the staff would be and how welcoming the atmosphere. I was hoping for a Michelin star food experience, why did I make that assumption? The oysters I ate were excellent quality and the presentation, spot on. The cote de pork was tasty but a bit dry. The venison was excellent I was told. Some menu items were not available, three in total. There are valid reasons I'm sure though it is disappointing. All in all, a very pleasant evening was had. I found this place listed on trip adviser when in need for a quick bite... it was such a find! The ambience was stunning, the customer service was flawless. Very friendly and attentive. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by a very charming man. Our waitress looked after us very well. After an exquisite dinner, we decided to stay for more drinks; I saw Guiness and wondered whether to add black currant. "Kai" helped and gave me a taster of Guiness. This place must not be missed. From the incredibly beautifully prepared drink from bar manager Oli to the exceptional table service by Roberto. We tried Dine at Home last night & loved every bit of it. Collection was straight forward & quick. Instructions were so easy to follow & we started about 6pm sharing each dish then finished about 9.30pm having breaks in between. Wine was very tasty too. overall great value for money & a nice treat away from cooking & thinking up new things to cook. Will be recommending to others to try.

What a fabulous experience ! We ordered our 1st Dine 'at Home' dinner on Friday evening, having been home and shielding since February. (So missing eating out !) We had such a delicious dinner which was delivered to our home with very friendly professionalism (smiles and good social distancing). Everything needed only a simple microwave heating, no extra preparation/cooking required. Couldn't have been easier !!! Starter of prawn, crab, melon avocado salad (me) and a gluten-free soy& lightly honey glazed ham cabbage for my wife, with a novel sprinkling of caramelized pumpkin seeds adding fabulous textures. (Gluten Free) The main courses of braised pork cheek with delightfully marinated prunes celeriac kale and roast new potatoes was so tasty! The pudding of pears ++ was utterly divine and I hope to enjoy them again soon.... Having eaten at Dine restaurant a number of times (before shielding), and seen their recent recommendation in I-on magazine for excellent 'Home Dining', we couldn't have been more impressed ! Thank-you 'Dine' for delivering such a fabulous dinner and making our Friday night 'at home' so memorable ! Thank also to James for the excellent wine recommendation !

Restaurants can be a hit or miss when returning but Dine consistently scores top marks for food, service and atmosphere. Lots of mouth watering dishes to choose from and portion sizes perfect. Front of house staff were very attentive and looked after us from the moment we set foot in the restaurant. Excellent central restaurant for lunch or dinner and look forward to returning soon.

The food is wonderful, wine choice a plenty, but what really sets it apart is the service from all staff. Not sure what has happened? We’ve been here a few times and had an excellent experience with delicious food. This time, all of our food was ok albeit a bit bland. We brought some guests from out of town here and it was not the ‘wow’ experience we have had before. Have the chefs changed? The value is good for pre-theatre however the dinner menu is far too expensive for the quality of food when you can get much better quality at lower prices elsewhere. We won’t be back any time soon for dinner.

I visited for a Friday evening dinner with work colleagues. The setting was nice although the lack of soft furnishing makes the noise level higher than usual. Selecting from the Market Menu was easy and the food was very tasty. The portions were not large but I was comfortably full after 3 courses and the ice cream was some of the best I've had. The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant wasn't that crowded for a Friday evening.

On my visit there was only a limited amount of the menu available due to a powercut earlier in the day, as my partner is vegan this cut down her options to 1 choice and I couldnt have what I wanted and settled for the lamb and a starter. The food was nice but as it was only us and 1 more table at 8pm, I felt like everyone else that had booked had been told beforehand of the situation. As I had reserved the booking this did annoy me a bit. On a normal visit I'm sure the food and service would be great but left feeling like we had paid for what we didnt really want and like we had been kept out of the loop.

Post concert dinner. Acoustics very noticeably poor. Hard to hear the waitress and ourselves Had to point out we would like to finish our glass of champagne before the starters arrived. Mushroom starter ok but the strongest taste was of pumpernickel- other ingredients added little. Salmon starter was good . Main of sirloin steak -well seasoned and properly cooked at medium rare. Main of chicken moist and well cooked. Ice cream dessert bland with little obvious flavour. Bitter chocolate and orange tart had some good points and the salted caramel ice cream was averagely nice but the pastry was dire . Seemed like it had been sitting in a cold place for a long time before the addition of the good bits Service was anxious to please but a bit amateur. Overall it was a 7 out of 10.

A very nice dinner - lovely service, ambiance and experience. We had a glass of champagne on arrival on the very comfortable leather couches in the bar area. We then shared the scallop starter which was excellent, definitely recommend trying this. I really wanted to give a higher rating except my main really marred the dinner - I wouldn't recommend ordering the steak. My £23 steak came as an average £8 - £10 pub steak would in Sydney. Thinnish steak, regular pub chips and salad was the standard 'pub' salad (red onion, tomato slices and lettuce). However my wife's chicken dish was really good, so I think if you avoid the steaks you should be ok.

Visited Dine Edinburgh whilst in the city on business. This smart restaurant is inside a theatre. The market menu offered during midweek provides spectacular value for food of this quality. I had the ham hock terrine followed by braised brisket of beef. Both were excellent, as was the service.

The service here is excellent - very attentive and personal. The food however is lacklustre. The words on the page do not translate to the dishes that were served. Granted the price paid for a pre-theatre dinner (Market Deal) is reasonable. However, as I didn't like any of the dishes offered on that menu; I had a starter and steak from the a-la-carte (which was limited in its choices too) and it was satisfying at most. The melon in my Prosciutto and Melon, was hard and too bland. The steak was served as is. No offering of sauces. Regarding the chips - they were unsalted, and again no sauces on offer. I had difficulty getting the attention of the waiting staff to request pepper and salt. Thus I had to get up and go to the bar to ask for it. Satisfying, but not something to return too in a hurry
