There are no two thoughts about Nando's being a wonderful place to eat, but somehow I have a feeling the place is quite overrated and besides the sauce and the peri salt , the chicken is *never* marinated until its core, and it's quite bland ... So the credit should go to the hot sauce and not to the chicken 🐔 😋 But it's ok, the place doesn't disappoint you much , though it does out a hole in ur pocket 😭

One of the best restaurant experiences... We passed this Nando's on our way to the hotel and went for a bite to eat. The waitress explained the menu perfectly and all staff was really friendly. Our food arrived within 15 minutes and everyting was superb. Even the price was fairly cheap! I highly recommend eating here if you haven't yet.

After a long day walking to Leath and then around Edinburgh we wanted somewhere to get food that we know would just right for our appetite. My wife chose Nandos so we went in thinking that we knew what to expect. Surprised by the streamlined menu and having the option to scan a QR code to order what we want to eat. I wasn't sure what this was going to be like. The staffs were brilliant and the Starters were delicious though. 😋 My wife who is vegetarian tried to the Imitation Burger, which is supposed to be like the Peri-peri chicken. Not true! And my chicken tastes burnt. Yours might taste better. Enjoy 😉

Lovely friendly staff and the restaurant seemed clean but food not the best (the Halloumi smelt like raw chicken and we couldn't eat the two portions we had ordered). When the food was put on the hot plate ready for the waiting staff to bring over there seemed to be some debate about what was inside the pitta leading to three different waiting staff taking the pitta apart with their fingers before reconstructing it again. Unfortunately we saw this and the person who ordered the pitta couldn't eat it after that.

We have been to many Nandos before but I must say that the experience was really good at this one. We ordered at the table via the QR code/online system which was quite easy. There were enough staff and they were friendly, helpful and polite. I noticed that it was very clean and tidy all around the restaurant. The food was cooked and presented very nicely for a Nandos. Tasty and hot as well! The best Nandos I have been to in a long time.

Reliable Nandos experience in pleasant, roomy premises with lots of windows looking out onto Lothian Road, the Usher Hall, the Film house, and the Lyceum Theatre. It's a very handy location for these venues and it is also close to the West end of Princes Street. I ordered and paid from the app and the food was delivered to the table along with my glass for the bottomless Coke Zero. My only criticisms are to do with the soft drinks fountain. The Coke Zero seemed to be set wrong, or running out of syrup, as it tasted watery. My server kindly took it away and refilled the glass with Diet Coke for me, so that was a positive experience. There Portobello mushroom pitta was delicious as ever, this time with an extra of grilled pineapple. I enjoyed the quiet, calm atmosphere (mid-afternoon!) and appreciated that they now offer free wi-fi. It has been well over a year since my last Nando's visit.

Cute little restaurant. They think their sauce is hot, but it doesn't hold up to the sauces I am used to. Staff is friendly, location is clean, chicken cooked well. I tried all the sauces pictured, "hot" has good flavor but none is was really all that spicy to me. The Vusa and Black bottle were both just trying to be hot for the sake of hot, and the flavor was lacking.

Really awesome restaurant. You no need to book your table. However during weekends you need to wait for some while. Obviously famous is peri peri chicken. You can just go for a meal platter ( 2-4 people) for only £19.99. Drinks are part of the platter or you can choose side dishes. Main part is tons of different sources... sweet to very hot. There are also herbs sources as well (must try). Staffs are very friendly and they will help you every time. Location are very good... just beside the usher hall ( you can’t miss). Just go and enjoy the chicken. For vegetarians, there are bad news for you guys... there are no such good vegetable dishes.. although you can try. Otherwise great... recommend 👍🏻

Went there on a busy Friday evening after being turned down by few other places as they were fully booked. Has been greated initially by some unpleasant young member of staff who didn't even acknowledge us despite us being with two young children but once some more experienced staff member with more decent customer skills took over and literally saved my birthday! Had been really taken care off, meal was after all very pleasant and managed to relax after a crazy day in Edinburgh! Nandos always seems to be sub-par, with the mcains chips and microwaved creamy mash. I was neither excited nor disappointed. Server took a while to notice and take us to a table, the restaurant was clean and pretty much empty at lunch time which was good for us. Staff were polite.

The food was great and they were so good, my son-in-law received a phone call just as the food came, it was a VERY important call and so they took his plate to put it under the warmer. His phone call took over 20 minutes and so they made him a fresh plate instead of giving him the original plate of food.

For a Nando's this one is great. The place was packed but there was no queue, our food came very quickly and was hot and fresh. Nando's is one of the better chain restaurants for vegetarians, despite everyone asking why I like going to a chicken place. There are several veggie options, that are all very good. The only thing I would say is the drinks are really expensive, but you can get this for free if you have a student card.

If you've never tried Nando's then definitely give it a go. It's not all fiery spice, I myself don't especially like hot spicy food. Having said that I am not left with just a few options there's quite a few options for the spice enemy. This Nando's in particular is well located and is nice and roomy inside, others you can feel rather cramped. I thoroughly recommend all things halloumi! Halloumi sticks for starters with the great dip!

I have been a Nando's fan for 32 years, from the day the first restaurant opened on Main Street in Rosettenville, South of Johannesburg. Fernando Duarte used to go to the same school as me. He and his buddy Robert Brozin had this great idea to bring the succulent taste of Portuguese flame-grilled chicken cuisine to people who had grown tired of the "colonel's" deep-fried alternative. It is great to see Nando's still going so strong, and an international brand now. The best chicken you will taste! Much better than fried chicken, good choices on the menu, friendly staff, reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Worth the visit!

1. Best known for piri piri chicken I guess. For adults you can choose how much (1/4, half or full ) chicken and the sides and have to choose a hotness level. I chose for myself a quarter piri piri chicken at high heat (spiciness) with piri piri sprinkled chips (which really are french fries🍟) .2. I also could free drinks like coke etc. But I selected a cider with raspberry and lemon. This was a perfect accompaniment for me. 3. This totalled to £12.45 . 4. They made me sit close to the entrance. Not a great seat. Pick a better one.though it does offer a view of a main Street.

I wasn't too sure if Nando's would be a good place to visit, I passed by it in London back in 2007 and my sister mentioned taking me there, but it never happened. When Nando's then opened in Edinburgh, I knew I had to try it. It's an unusual set up that's surprisingly refreshing. You're met at the door by courteous staff who shows you to a table and you're given a menu to decide what you want to order. You then have to go up to the counter (don't forget your table number!) and place your order. When it's ready, it'll then be brought to your table. You can choose pretty much what you want to eat, from the type of carb (pitta bread, bun or wrap), meat or vegetable (mainly chicken), sauce and sides. The chicken is great, I also knicked some of my friend's peri peri chips which were amazing. I would definitely recommend the portobello mushroom and halloumi pitta bread or wrap though, it's my go to meal whenever I crave a bit of Nando's, but their signature Peri Peri Chicken is also worth a try!
