Iovely takeaway the staff are very friendly and food is reasonably priced. The Kebab I had was amazing and the fish was nice last time too. The chips are fresh and hot. Well worth the 15 mile round trip

I had fish and chips, and waited for the chips to be cooked fresh... Unfortunately the fish tasted like it had been kept warm for a good hour or so. Not great unfortunately. However the staff seemed nice and helpful.

Without a doubt the best Fish and chip shop in the Borders. Great variety of take aways available. Food is of a high quality and great portion sizes. Worthy of mention are the staff who are excellent and always helpful. Get there for 4pm sharp.....leave it later and you will queue. But even then its worth it..

Just been to Alonso's for the first time and it was awesome. Great big piece of fish with chips and smokey. There was so much fabulous food to choose from and staff were great. if you haven't been take a night off cooking and treat yourselves it was delicious. Friday nights the diet is going to be well and truly forgotten about..

The positives clean and reasonable quality food. Unusual for a chip shop is the variety of food it does along side the normal menu you have kebabs pizzas etc. The negative side is the food on the traditional chip shop menu is not cooked fresh and kept in the hot cupboard above the fryer. Most chip shops certainly in the south west of Scotland cook to order.

What a great place to stop off after being out a run, Frying starts at 4pm freshly fried fish and chips collect and drive up to Scotts view. A family run business father and son who take pride in providing the best possible food quality.

I've been to Alfonso's several times with friends and family and each time I've thoroughly enjoyed the food, the selection is great and pricing is more than reasonable for the high standard of the food. After going to several chippies where one is met with what can only be described as the most unhappy soles romaining the planet. Equally the food being as bland and disheartening. I was pleasantly surprised when I was met with really friendly staff. But most importantly the food. Which I can say was fantastic. I will most certainly be going back.
