Nice place to stop off if wandering along the canal for some refreshment, with decent food at reasonable prices (update menu with more selections). Friendly staff and place looks great and more lively atmosphere than years before. Dogs also welcome.

Dropped in with 2 friends after being out for lunch round the corner just decided to see what it was like as we heard it had been refurbished. Bar and eating looked really good, nice and open. Toilets were lovely and clean. Bar staff were very nice and friendly, we stayed for 3 drinks. Would definitely go back and maybe have lunch next time.

Took my mother in law there for mother's day lunch today. Booked in advance, told them she was in a wheelchair. The venue was perfect for disability , food was lovely and the staff were so helpful and accommodating to her needs . It was our first outing with her from her care home since restricted and they made it very easy. Thank you

Very nice location on a sunny day, had a nice walk down the canal, the something to eat, had the Chilli burger and chips, was ok but a small portion, washed down with a pint of Moretti £5.60 a pint, a bit pricey, toilets were clean ,staff friendly, will go back. Nice

It was my first time in here & I found it had a nice friendly atmosphere, it was lovely & warm as the log burner was on. Lot's of people were having meals which looked rather tasty, so we will sample something next time.

Had a nice walk along the canal to Loch 27. Staff friendly and chatty. Food was good, reasonable sized portions at a fair price. Service was good, didn't wait to long for food or drinks to arrive. Sat outside in the gazebo, with Liz and Charlie. Veggie options for Liz and water bowls out for Charlie. Dog friendly, can go outdoors or indoors. Plenty of cycle traffic going by. That said, well worth a visit.

Great food, nice location, friendly staff. I had the chicken pie and it was spot on, my pal had the bangers and mash and it was good too. Not too expensive, £10 for the pie and £8 for the bangers and mash. Staff were nice. Plenty of outdoor seating, including covered seats, next to the canal.

It is so good for lock 27 to be back open again. Staff always friendly and attentive. We are regular 's whom visit often. Great pub grub and decent selection if drinks. They have plenty of outdoor seating. You need to queue and be seated by a member of staff rather than just helping yourself to a table. They clean the tables before seating you. They are not taking reservations for outdoor seating.

Good service, friendly staff, didnt wait long for a table. First lunch out post lockdown but my food disappointing. Got the macaroni cheese which was swimming in oil. However my mum got the steak & ale pie which she really enjoyed. Food was great when pub was bought over, but has been going downhill as time has gone on unfortunately. Would return for drinks but perhaps not food again.

First time eating here since the pub reopened. I had the halloumi fajitas and can honestly say its one of the best veggie friendly meals I've ever had. Decent portion, great value for money and very tasty. The stuff are lovely, very friendly and attentive. They take great care of the bar, you can really tell that they keep on top of cleaning the lines as the pints taste great. We'll definitely be eating here again and stopping in for a drink or two, particularly in the summer when a light refreshment is needed after a walk along the canal!

Jasmine our server was so helpful. My sons chip portion was very mean 13 chips, (I gave him my serving!) Small portion of fish was mostly battery. 30 minute wait to be served we were told only one person serving but we did notice a couple of tables were served before us? I would still return.

Wonderful mother's day meal. The Sunday roast was the menu of the day and had plenty of options. Portions were generous and delicious. Children's menu available and was easily able to feed both my kids. Staff friendly and attentive. Will be back a day during the week to sample the standard menu. The new refurbishment has brightened and opened up the seating area much to it's credit. Overall a lovely experience.

First visit since refurbishment..My partner had Southern Fried Chicken burger and she said it was great. I chose a baked potato with beans... Potato was lovely.. but ONE tablespoon of beans??ONE TABLESPOON,?? Beans are hardly expensive. The staff however are excellent...Will we be back?? Probably..But if I order the same...I will complain...Hence the 4 stars

Lovely Scampi lunch for mum and I. Brilliantly bright location, such a contrast following it's renovation. Lots of life has been added to lift the atmosphere. Popped in here for a few drinks late on a Friday after work. My first time in the place. Drink is well priced and toilets are clean. Live music was on, was a bit too loud as found it hard to talk to each other, but the singing was good. Will definitely return to try the food next time.

Great location, great food and doggy friendly. I was surprised when they closed the doors on this place last year... and more surprised that I hadn't heard it had reopened! Popped over this evening to catch a friend who was in town. We grabbed dinner and both meals were great. I opted for the roast beef wrap which was roughly twice the size of my usual evening meal, but so nice that I had to finish it regardless of my stomach trying to tell me that enough was enough. Bar/serving staff were lovely, which added the top layer of icing to a lovely cake. I'll definitely be back.

Recently has had a tasteful refurbishment. Cosy on a cold, rainy day or night and equally as great on a warm summer's day, especially for cyclists making their way along the canal. The staff seem really friendly. I'm glad this welcoming local has reopened it's doors.

Big changes to this pub. Lots of potential here. Its nicely fitted out and doesn't resemble the place it was at all (just as well really): Fresh and new with polite and friendly staff. Background music. A few TVs (sound off). A good selection of reasonably priced drinks. An older crowd were in during the day when we visited. Very clean toilets. All in all a massive improvement! Food is starting 2nd Jan 19. Dogs are also welcome. Its great to see this wee local bar rejuvenated. We will certainly be back.

Staff are nice and polite but the manager isn't very nice. He tells them off for silly things in front of the customers. Example- The bottle opener went missing and he brought out his own and said "if you break or lose this one you owe me £50" to the barman

I was excited to see Lock 27 had reopened and had high hopes. It’s a great location and very few places nearby have such a great outdoor space which is the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. The new design inside is nice and feels much more spacious than it did before and the staff (mostly) are friendly and helpful. Sadly it took a long time for our food to arrive and that was despite us being served before some other customers who were already waiting and almost finished their drinks when we arrived. The food itself was decidedly ok - not bad but nothing great and definitely not worth the price. I was excited to try the chicken yorkie wrap - the chicken itself was tasty but everything else was bland, the Yorkshire pudding was tough to chew and the stuffing inside was weird and not traditional stuffing like I expected. Save yourself a big bill for a disappointing lunch and head to the nearby Wetherspoons instead then enjoy some canal side drinks here if the weather permits!

We visited as a family of 6 as a very last minute plan. I called ahead to check if there was space and although we couldn’t make a booking (they don’t take bookings at weekends), I had said I would be there in half an hour. To my surprise a table had been kept and set for us. Great start. Staff were excellent and the internal is so much brighter and spacious compared to the old style. Food was excellent. Salmon fajitas were outstanding as were the hallloumi fajitas. Fish and chips really well presented tasty. Mac and cheese with pulled pork - super yummy and the peppered mushroom pie was a great vegetarian dish. Kids pizza was not great. It was similar to Chicago town deep pan pizza. I think a thinner pizza is more enjoyable for little ones as it’s softer so easier to eat. We didn’t have desserts as were stuffed however a few good options on there. I would recommend adding one lighter dessert - something like a panna cota as a lot of the desserts are very chocolatey. Will be visiting here again very soon.

Dog friendly up until 19.00 As of 7th December 2018, this place reopened after an extensive refurbishment, and all for the better! It looks a much classier, on trend place than the dark drinking den it was before, with new larger windows making it airier and more inviting. The kitchen is still a WIP serving up from sometime in January. Until then, I'll reserve judgement with a middle of the road 3 stars.

Drinks and locations are amazing, always picturesque. Only gripe is a few menu related items. 1 The outdoor menu doesn't match the indoor menu. 2 Menu options weren't elaborated on, I.e. there wasn't an option on the menu to have a chilli cheese dog? Just a chilli or cheese one separately. 3 A bratwurst was used in the hotdog as opposed to an actual hotdog, definitely changes the flavour. But despite the minor gripes, it's a location I'm happy to have back in Anniesland!
