Delicious! Wish they has more vegan options, regardless the vegan food was the best I've ever had in Glasgow! Must visit!

Ok I’ve got a new favourite eatery in Glasgow and this is it. We sat upstairs in the nosey seat and watched chef prepare our food. A great care was taken by the cooking staff, each plate lovingly assembled. The front of house staff were very pleasant and knew their dishes. There is no car parking and room is very limited so book in advance and come in plenty of time. But be ready for a culinary delight. My only small criticism would be the decor looks quite tired and the toilets need a minor overhaul - but the food more than makes up for any deficiencies.

Fabulous restaurant in a great neighbourhood. We had the cod and the halibut and both were cooked to perfection and had wonderful flavours and accompaniments. The service was super friendly and timing of our cocktails, appetizers, mains and desert was perfect. The prices were well below what we have paid for other quality meals in Edinburgh or Glasgow. I highly recommend this spot.

The gazpacho was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten! Perfectly balanced flavours with the chilli and the activity of the tomato contrasted with the mascarpone. My partner had the cheviche of seabass to start, which he said was great. He had the monkfish satay for his main- he was very impressed by the crispy enoki mushrooms which he said we're the best part of the dish. The fish itself was a little on the small size but well cooked and good quality. The artichoke tortellini was great and would highly recommend. The cauliflower puree was full of flavour and the hazelnuts gave the dish an excellent texture. Finally the crowide cheesecake with basil ice-cream was an absolute DREAM. I could have eaten ten of them!

Number 16 is a cosy restaurant in the heart of Byers road Glasgow. It has consistently won / been shortlisted for a variety of awards and it is very easy to see why. Service is extremely friendly and food is creative, beautifully presented and uses the finest fresh local ingredients from Scotland. Highly recommend, we travelled especially.

Located in Kelvingrove which is in a vibrant part of the city, No 16 is a small gem of a restaurant. They makes creative use of space through a split-level dining approach, which doubles the number of covers they are able to offer. Due to the confined entrance, wheelchair access isn't easy, though it's possible with assistance from the staff (but there aren't any accessible toilets on site). The restaurant specialises in modern European, with a strong Scottish emphasis. Ingredients are locally sourced with the chef drawing on his travel experiences to supplement the flavour palette. The beetroot and treacle cured salmon was beautifully presented. The scallops perfectly cooked and creamy whilst the accompanying salad had great texture with the addition of Hazelnuts. The monkfish was simply cooked but full of flavour, whilst the duck was served medium and was well-seasoned and deliciously moist. With a meal that good I can't wait to return to no 16!

My husband and I enjoyed an Anniversary Lunch at No. 16 Restaurant on 13 September 2021. We just love this restaurant. The Menu is always different each time we go and the food always amazing. Such attention to detail by the chef and his staff. The young lady who looked after us was an absolute delight and so helpful. If you are tempted to go soon, try the plum starter it is just out of this world as is the rest of the food on the Menu.

Great experience, we managed to book in here last minute and get a 9pm reservation. Lovely restaurant with a cosy feel. Spread over two floors with larger seating areas downstairs, our waiter Thomas was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was delicious, with a good variety of well balanced options on a small menu. Great value for money too given the quality of the cooking and great atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

Haven't been here for at least ten years and I think it has changed hands since then so it was interesting to re-visit it after all this time. The menu seems more adventurous than I remember which I was quite happy with but bear that in mind. So, having said that I can say that the quality of food has been maintained from our last visit. It's pricey with my main dish of venison (which was great btw) clocking in at 21 quid and the final bill being over 100 quid (I was tanning the wine to be fair) but I think it was justified. I'm not complaining I knew what I was getting into and it was a wee pay day treat. It's lovely restaurant and the food is super high quality. Staff are great and there is a nice vibe to the place so I would recommend this to anyone who likes adventurous food.

Lovely quirky little place with a fab seasonal menu. However being told you had been sat at a rubbish table before we had even seen the table was a bit off putting. My meal was fantastic but my partner had the beef and it wasn't that impressive. It was nice but not the amazing that you would expect from a place like this.

Despite previous enjoyable visits. My most recent dinner there was marred by being served overcooked meat, having asked for it to be prepared rare to medium. It was replaced without issue though and I wasn't charged. I would have expected one of the kitchen team to speak with me, but it was left to front of house to sort!! No16bin Byres Road in Glasgow is a small restaurant with lovely atmosphere and decor. Their food is well presented and delicious. Portions are just right to have a starter, main course and a desert. My wife loves good coffee and she was pleased with theirs . The place wasn't busy but I would advice to make a reservation. It was just the two of us there for birthday lunch without kids. There is very little space for children to be entertained during waiting time. We cannot wait to come back when the menu changes.

A very small restaurant, not hugely expensive but not cheap either. The food is modern using traditional Scottish ingredients. I have been here three times and have enjoyed every meal. The staff are friendly. Sit upstairs if you can, as downstairs there is a draught every time the door opens. Parking can be a bit hit and miss as it is on Byres road but this also means that public transport is plentiful, Kelvinhall underground is 30 seconds walk away.

The food, staff, ambience and agin, the food!! Is outstanding. Combinations of flavours I'd never have considered work amazingly well without being over the top or trying to hard. Portion sizes were just right, I was full but not unconformably so. Very attentive service without being formal made for a relaxing atmosphere and some background music I only noticed when it went off for a wee bit. My only slight (very slight) criticism was the desert. Rhubarb cheesecake was tasty but lacking in rhubarb! Will be back sooner rather than later though.

I can only say that this restaurant deserves all the praise for excellent food, fantastic service and tremendous atmosphere that can be heaped upon it. It is an easy metro or bus ride from the centre but to be sure of a table it is best that you reserve a table to avoid the disappointment of not being able to eat here. Stuart and his team are brilliant hosts and I recommend this restaurant to all those who love good food.

I had the Ox tongue starter followed by the duck. My wife the tomato salad and Hake, and our son haddock & belly pork. We all reported it was the best lunch we could remember for a long time. As a kind of challenge, I decided to go there every 16th of the month all year long. My January and February evenings were very pleasant. Cosy atmosphere, excellent food… the place you want to go on a first date. My challenge did not go past two months as I was not in the area every 16th but it has something unique that makes it a special place. Turning up without prior booking will result in disappointments, they are as successful as their dining space is small. Quality over quantity.
