Reviews of Sichuan House
A. O.
It was beautiful. I love the ambience and the scenery.
It was easy for us to locate
The food was delicious and pretty affordable
We got their 2 courses (starter and main )
If you are African and you haven't tried Chinese cuisine before, try their Singapore fried rice/any fried rice.
So sweet
They have toilets downstairs and it's decent.
Overall, I'll go again and again

A very good value festive lunch option; two courses for £12.95 or three for £14.95.
The hot and sour soup was delicious and generously filled with chicken, pork and prawns. Chicken satay was tasty but lacking much peanut flavour. Crispy chicken with salt and chilli was very crispy but light on the chilli.
Staff were friendly but busy. With food and prices like this, you understand why.
It's a shame that some of their more authentic dishes weren't included in the deal, as they looked delicious. Might have tried one if they were a but cheaper - at around the £13-16 mark, a single main cost more than the lunch deal.

Our first visit here and I have to say it is the best Far Eastern food I have had in a long time. Excellent choices on the extensive menu and every dish is pictured so you can see what you are ordering.
I chose the Happy Buddha beer which was poor but that is down to personal taste, not the restaurant.
The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome and didn't keep pestering us as has become the habit in so many restaurants these days.
I will be coming back as soon as I can.

A very authentic and traditional chinese restaurant which is why many chinese people living in glasgow can be found eating here. Many of the dishes are not to my taste. Lots of fish and seaweed. The whole seabass bubbling pan my friend ordered looked like something from an Indiana Jones movie looking like a cauldron of fish soup without the eyeballs😱 My friend loved it, so there we go.Must be me🤔
My shredded crispy beef and vegetables was really excellent as was our spring roll starter. We shared a sticky fried rice.
Whole deal was nearly £53 for two.😳 Restaurant is located at corner of Sauchiehall St. and Holland St. If you want authentic chinese food, this is THE place.

Large portions and great food! The dish I had (Yu Hong style shredded pork) did not have any chillies for measuring spiciness in the menu, but still was fairly spicy, for comparison kind on nando's hot level, though it's possible they made it extra spicy for me as I mentioned to the waitress that I like spicy! 🤷🏼♂️ So as far as I can tell, having lived and travelled around south east China this is authentic Sichuan level of spices used, not diled down for European taste! Either way I absolutely loved it!
R. C.
Good portion sizes, couldn't eat all of my meal. Hot and sour soup was nice but not great, duck was delicious, nice service, pleasant environment, price was right for quality presented. Would come back for sure.
T.
One word, brilliant! A must go for all Asian food lovers!
If you’re looking for a quality Chinese meal coupled with ambience and fantastic service, look no further.
The staff were incredible and highly intuitive, I was amazed. They were helpful and quit knowledgeable.
We ordered an array of started and mains (see pictures). I highly recommend their Sichuan Chilli Fried Chicken!
Would definitely come back here on my next visit to Glasgow!
S. C.
Very delicious food, good service, and reasonable price as well
K. K.
Amazing customer service very welcoming nice food and welcoming to my assistance dog 🐕🦺 highly recommended and even had take away from it
R. W.
really good taste!and really nice service!Authentic Chinese food NO1 in Glasgow!
Y. A.
I was hoping to dine in as closing time online was 11pm, got there and was told they were closing at 10.30 instead.
Managed to order some rice dish, sweet and sour sauce and ate outside. I enjoyed every bit of the meal. My only shock was seeing cashew nuts in the sauce. Unexpected but wasn't bad
P. S.
Perfect ambience, the busiest Chinese restaurant out in Glasgow 😊 chicken Sichuan starter was the best. Singapore fried rice could have been better.
J. S.
Authentic and lots of food for reasonable prices.
This restaurant serves very good and authentic Chinese cuisine and by doing so, the portions are huge (we ordered way to much (calculate with one meal per person and you are totally fine!)).
Overall, great place to eat!
A.
Staff were wonderful. Service was fast. And the food was amazing! Would recommend to anybody! It was also a very good price for what we all got! Overall fantastic!

Very good place
Very good service.
Big dishes and very understood menu.
J. S.
The foods were great.
M. H.
Food is outstanding, nice atmosphere and attentive service. Good quality and value.

Lovely restaurant, atmosphere, top quality food, presentation was amazing, quick service. New favourite Chinese restaurant in Glasgow!
S.
Loved it. Had decent priced meal here. Very popular with Chinese community. Nearly all the tables were full. We were very lucky to get a table without pre booking.
Appetisers of cucumber and garlic, Seaweed, Peanuts. Started with Spring rolls/Pork dumplings (4 each). Just the right size so that you don't fill up before mains.
Husband had main sized portion of house speciality ribs which he devoured in no time and I had huge portion of tasty Chicken in Ginger and Spring onions with side of plain boiled rice which I managed to finish. The ginger wasn't overpowering and the flavour was good. The staff were very helpful but not too intrusive.
Also had drinks of diet coke/large Pinot Grigio.
Very reasonable price of £51 in city centre.
I. N.
It's a very good Chinese restaurant, the taste of the food is very similar to that in China, what impressed me most is the WiFi password in the restaurant, which reminds me of my motherland. I love you, China, and I can also see the signed jersey of Lin Dan, the badminton world champion, and in my opinion, it's even a good place for photography.
A. M.
We were a party of seven and everyone enjoyed the meal. The food was tasty and of good quality, the staff were pleasant and helpful and the prices reasonable. I have taken one star away since the servers had to be reminded to bring some of the food and one dish only arrived after we had finished eating. I am sure this can be remedied, and I would recommend this attractive restaurant.
L. T.
Absolutely sublime! The pork belly in Leshun style was so tender while being crazy juicy. The spicy beef stew too was tender as can be while being flavoursome and spicy. Was brilliant idea to add the pickled cucumber which were tasty but acted as a pallet cleanser. Honestly utterly amazing!

Been going here for years and converted many people into hailing this place as the King of authentic Chinese food not only in Glasgow but probably all of Scotland. However, something has changed (probably the chef) and now a couple of the regular dishes we enjoyed are now verging on pretty terrible. The last few visits were really reallllly disappointing and on the last visit we got various spicy foods that we would usually order but they pretty much all tasted the same so the variety now seems to be gone.
Other than that the staff are still as always, super friendly, helpful and attentive.
K. F.
Legit Sichuan food here. One of the best hot and sours have had in a while, and generous portions overall as well. Do recommend!
T. B.
We called in here for an evening meal and really enjoyed it. The food was really nice and tasty, fresh and fragrant. One of the best Chinese meals I've had! They've got lots of specials on the menu and a lot of things you wouldn't normally see in a Chinese restaurant such as scollops. The portions were generous and very reasonably priced.
The staff we're really attentive and quick to seat & serve us despite it being pretty busy. Next time I'm in Glasgow I'll be looking to come back here!
M. M.
Love the chilly spicy fish pot. But the noddles and dumplings are not ip to standards, I gather that they were made by the restaurant, but its chewy like the ones in Northern provinces, definitely not Sichuan style.
A. G.
Great spicy dishes, I came here because they recommended me this restaurant and I saw that everything was true. We were eating with Chinese people so it has to be a good Chinese. In Spain we say that if a road restaurant is full of trucks, you eat well. Here happens the same.
We started with a garlic pork, great, tasty, spicy.
The main course was good, I expected more to be honest but it was good.
It was curious that the dish which appears in the menu as mild was hotter than the one appearing as spicy. I cannot understand this.
To end with the meal we asked for the bill. We were impressed when we saw a chocolate snack and it was an after eight which was given as a detail. Great details.
I will repeat for sure, my next thing to taste is the pot, looks great.
I. X.
Authentic Sichuanese food is available- if you're here and you don't try any of those dishes, that would be a shame. But be warned as the incredibly fragrant and pungent spices that Sichuan cuisine extensively utilises would probably do a number on your stomach if you're not used to consuming them. Speedy service during lunch on a weekday.
H. S.
This is a really fantastic place! The food is incredibly tasty! But be prepared... if it is called hot... it is HOT ... i will surely come back every time when i'm back in Galsgow!
A. P.
Fabulous food served by friendly and hard working staff. Very enjoyable experience.
g. n.
Amazing restaurant , first class service and top quality food , would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere really nice to eat
m. f.
Service was very good and the food came out fast. But I feel like for the size of the portion we received it was overpriced though the food itself did taste good
k. p. w.
Good deco. Food is 👍
J. C.
Excellent food and attentive service. The menu features pictures of every dish, which is very useful if you are unsure about what to eat or cannot decide. The Sichuan cuisine is perfect for sharing and the spice was not overwhelming at all. Strongly recommend!
W. R.
Food was delicious, good atmosphere, service (probably owner) not good.
e. m.
Food lovely. but asked the lady to give us a few more minutes but she wasn't taking that for an answer. but size of the portion were huge and enjoyable
A. R.
Absolutely the best Chinese in Tinseltown
J. N.
Maybe the best Sichuan I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Lots of variety on the menu. I had the mapo tofu - spicy and delicious - and my companion had the mandarin beef for a more tame (but equally delicious) meal. Would recommend for anyone who’s looking for some high quality, fairly priced Chinese food!

Great food and service.
Had a lunch time visit with family. Food was great- nice and spicy.
Staff were friendly and service was prompt rectified a miss ordered dish without the slightest fuss.
V. Y.
Fantastic food, nice food, friendly staff. Don't miss the deserts.
I. M.
Enjoyed a good pre theatre meal with some pineapple fritters for dessert, a step back in time
G.
Spicy and numbing. Nice restaurant and food.
J. D.
Great food , for all fans of East Asian food. Many options from safe and less spicy one to more adventurous and extremely hot. Very good service. You can find great meal for yourself if you like Asian cousins. Really worthy to try!!!
E. H.
Excellent place to go before the theatre, staff lovely, food great
A. S.
Seated as soon as we arrived. Great food. Good portion sizes. Best Chinese food I have tasted in a long time! Maybe my life. And very Friendly staff!
S. V.
Last Sunday, we and our friends visited the restaurant, and had a great night. Thanks a lot to all staff there.
We ordered Poached Mixed Meats and Hot Oil, Fish Fillet with Hot Chilli Oil, and Crispy King Prawn with Peanut. The seafood and all other material were very fresh, and all dishes taste like real, traditional and classic Chinese dishes. Super delicious.
Moreover, all staff were very friendly and helpful with smile all the time. They explained the dishes to us in details, and interacted with our kids nicely.
Overall, this is a great restaurant and highly recommended.
B. L.
Lovely food and friendly staff good prices
C.
I was visiting from Wales and there was a party of 7 of us. The staff were friendly enough and helped with deciding which dishes they recommended. We were chatting away and catching up for hours and the staff were really accomodating and didn't ask us to leave at all until we were ready to leave. Would definitely visit again!
J. M.
Amazing authentic Sichuan food, incredible spice levels, excellent dining in experience and friendly staff.
S. M.
Myself and my son went here last Sunday, the menu was extensive and varied. The staff are polite, friendly & efficient without being over bearing. The food was fantastic, probably one of the best Chinese meals I have ever eaten. Generous portions, delicious & incredibly well cooked. If you haven't tried this restaurant or are just thinking of trying it then I would heartily recommend it. We will definitely be going back.
l. j.
They are trying to bring the best of Sichuan, Hunan and North East, even East provinces flavors. I like their Sichuan spicy fish fillets, quite authentic.
s. m.
Loved this place. The food was really good and the list of cocktails funny and endless! Staff were friendly and the place is warm and welcoming.
Z. L.
Food was okay, but especially good when you need chinese food or soup. Service is good too. Price around 13 to 15 pound.
D. V.
Tasty and authentic Sichuanese food! Good value for money too.
C. C.
Amazing restaurant. Authentic food. Staff were nice. Highly recommended
A. L. (. L.
Great fish but the soup is too oily and not spicy enough to be Sichuan. Just a lot of dry and hard dried floating chillies.
H. W.
Amazing food and first class service ,, book ahead busy busy !!
S. P.
Lovely place and lovely food with bold flavours, particularly the pungency and spiciness resulting from liberal use of garlic and chili peppers, as well as the unique flavour of Sichuan pepper.
R. S.
What an absolute jewel of a restaurant; beautifully cooked food presented quickly and with a smile (albeit behind a mask).
The price is worthy of the service and quality food. You won't be disappointed.
The salt and pepper wings are something special.
j. b.
Hugely mediocre.and massively overpriced.went in with my wife and aunt.had 3 meals.2 chicken based.one beef.servings were small for starters.seconds was rather light on amount aswell..staff were OK.place is lovely.well placed and very clean but hugely overpriced in today's market.had a chicken curry.had better in Iceland.stuffed mushrooms were perfect.in short.best avoided unless your very well off.best go to a jd witherspoon next door.for value.full experience was boring
P. R.
Wonderful Chinese food. Beat Beijing ducks I’ve had outside of china. Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
K. H.
Very clean, attentive staff, incredible food
K. J.
Had dinner here during my first day in Glasgow. Nice restaurant with traditional Chinese dishes, most from Sichuan. The menu has a big varieties but most of the dishes are spicy. Tasty food and nice service
S. W. j.
Lovely food.staff very pleasant and helpful.will definately be back.
李.
The best Chinese restaurant in Glasgow.
Recommend spicy chicken and boiling fish.
G. D.
Warm welcome and some strange offerings on the menu , but the food we ordered was fantastic, and the service was second to none , please if you get the chance to dine here please do you will not be disappointed

s. m.
Outstanding Chinese in Glasgow offering authentic mouth numbing head sweating delicious foods
A. G.
Delicious food very fresh ,great service friendly staff highly recomend it x
A. S.
Mediocre Sichuan food with relatively high price for Glasgow.
E. C.
I have been a couple of times and it's never disappointed, the service it fast with very friendly servers, the food is always fresh and hot. All the food I've tasted so far tastes beautiful and half tried my best to finish as much as I could, only problem is the portion size of them.... they're huuuugee your eyes are always bigger than your belly. Definitely worth how much your paying, and can always get a tub to take it home. Would really recommend
A. U.
The food is excellent , authentic and the environment is lovely and comfortable. Service was friendly and the food arrived really quickly. Highly recommended especially if you like spicy Sichuan dishes.
J. G.
Food was excellent and the 3course set menu really good value for money. The staff were friendly, attentive and explained some of the dishes when I asked.Couldn't fault the service, defo be back😋
G. S.
Really nice pre theatre decent price great food. Had Roast Duck with pepper sauce, spring rolls, beef curry. All top notch!
Y. L.
Lovely food and very helpful, friendly staff
O. S.
Food was amazing, great atmosphere and reasonably priced would recommend
J. C.
One of the better Chinese restaurants around.
Sichuan food therefore nice and spicy. An authentic experience in an establishment which is clean and Covid safeguards are well implemented. Service is quick and efficient and the dinning area is well laid out.
The food was nicely presented and hot, both in temperature and spice hit.
Won't hesitate to return.
Z. S.
The food is good quality, good value and is also authentic Chinese cuisine.
The service is generally good, but there is one waiter there with a little too much attitude, cheeky, impatient and insulting. An older guy, you’ll know him if you go there, he stares at people in a very weird creepy way. We always hope he doesn’t serve us. I’ve seen him mentioned in other comments as well. The other waiters are great.
C. G.
This place was busy. Not your run of the mill menu so good to try out something different. Service was very good and friendly. Good atmosphere. Will be back!
H. L.
Great food, good service, can't complain at all.
g. m.
Food excellent, felt both the female and the male that served my son and I weren't very friendly. They weren't rude, just not as cordial as they appeared to be with some other customers. We felt we had done something to annoy them. We were both sober and only had a bottle of beer each. Four 🌟 for food only, hospitality lacking. Won't be rushing back. Food is good though.
D.
First time in here for lunch in Saturday. food was excellent. Will definitely be back. wish I had got a take for my dinner while I was there
J. I.
Good location, friendly staff, excellent service, good food, comfortable, nice environment, thumbs up 10/10
C. M.
Delicious
Visited for the second time last week Food Staff and Facilities are great Lovely restaurant and a warm welcome given
We dined A La Carte and can highly recommend
We are hoping to go on Christmas Day
V. A.
The food is super tasty, and the location is great, loved the round tables. I ordered for starters the mix vegetables soup and my family the spring rolls, pork and chicken sweet corn soup we all thought it was really tasty and loved it, like the mean menu and the free watermelon. I'm an vegetarian and there only where a few things to order, but when i tasted the food I ordered I couldn't complain.
E. L.
Great authentic regional food. Recommend early menu pre 6.30. Incredible value for one of the very best Chinese places in Glasgow and worth seeking out
D. B.
Looks great both inside and out. We went here on our first night for a meal. The food was lovely and well cooked. However the lady that served us was very brash and needs to learn that we are customers and not workers. Because my wife wanted spring rolls (a starter), with rice as a main meal the lady seemed put out and showed this in her manner when speaking to us. It may be that it was a bad day but do not take it out on the patrons. Suffice to say we will not be returning.
F. F.
Authentic Sichuan food that will set your mouth on fire like you’re drinking lava! Great selection at reasonable prices, and a good location if you’re out shopping in Glasgow for the day. Do yourself a favour and taste what real Chinese food is supposed to taste like!
I. M.
I had been to Sichuan house with my colleagues and co-supervisor. It was last year around Christmas. We had been there for a Christmas lunch and I cannot even begin to explain how great it was. To be honest, I am a very shy person and didn't get to talk as much but my co-supervisor was very attentive and introduced me to the members of his lab. We had ordered 12-14 different dishes alongwith drinks of our choice and I can hardly recall their names but I can definitely give a thumbs up on the taste. Food was superb. Sichuan chicken pepper fry was awesome. I don't eat lamb or any other meat so I remember having egg fried rice, chicken and a nice glass of orange juice. It was very soulful. I had a hot chocolate after the main course. The service was great. Ambience was superb and I really can't say enough about the great time I had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for a nice get together alongwith awesome food, drinks and ambience. You can easily take 5-6 people and sit together and have a great time. The only thing I missed there was my PhD supervisor who couldn't join us because of work. It would have been great if he were there. Hopefully, some time soon. Therefore, take as many loved ones' as you can, keeping the covid-19 rules in mind of course. 🙂🙂
O. B.
Amazing food. Rich sauces. Extremely attentive staff and fast service.
Q. M.
Took my mum here for an "Eat Out Help Out" lunch after reading reviews. Was not disappointed. food was excellent and good sized portions. Also lots of Chinese people were eating here which is always a good sign.
M. W.
Delish food, wide variety, don't be turning up expecting chicken curry and fried rice... Pig ears, frogs legs, gizzards, all delish... 👍😁
M.
The restaurant is well decorated and looks very nice, in terms in of the waiters and waitresses they are very nice and mostly accommodating however the manager was quite hostile and rude, despite smiling and trying to engage in conversation she ignored us and made us feel quite uncomfortable.Being the only black people in the restaurant whilst the rest of customers were white of which she smiled and engaged in conversation made us feel unwanted. In terms of the food it was well seasoned and the starters were lovely, we had chili salt wings and the ribs although the wings were better than the ribs. They were crispy and has a lovely kick to them. For mains we had kung pò chicken which tasted more like a sweet and sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce which was nice. The mains came with egg friend rice although the portion size was small and definitely not enough for three people to share. Overall it was alright however the service was questionable.
B. D.
Lovely choice of dishes at reasonable prices
T. v.
Delicious! Absolutely amazing and so much food. A bit pricey but it was good considering this is pretty much what you would actually get in Sichuan, China. Would go back but budget more carefully (:
B. M.
Great restaurant. Food is lovely and has a really nice atmosphere.
s. h.
We had noodle...great,tasty,authentic.
S. M.
Excellent food and atmosphere, great value from the business lunch. If you decide to go for some more traditional Chinese food then there are plenty of really tasty options, the portion sizes are never disappointing. You're pretty much guaranteed to leave with a full stomach and a thick wallet (the cost is very reasonable). Its well known in the Chinese Glaswegian community for good reason. 5\5 would go again.
D. W.
Always a great experience here. The menu is extensive but always great quality.
A. M.
As soon as you walk in, you are immediately seated and greeted with friendly staff. There were no set meals or sides you could order which was a bit disappointing. The wait is very short, but the food is excellent despite the large portion sizes. I would recommend this to anyone going to City Centre, Glasgow.
L. D.
Whilst in Glasgow on a business trip I had the good fortune to visit this restaurant. I went in the early evening and received a warm wrlcome. I chose from the special menu and my food arrived quickly. It was simple delicious - so good in fact I visited the restaurant again- and again. Lovely fresh cooked Chinese food and very reasonably priced. Enjoy!
M. C.
Very good food, ate here at the end of a very long day. The choice was a bit overwhelming and was a little disappointed there was no set menu to make the choosing what to eat easier.
That said had an excellent bit of duck and a hot and sour soup, following this with the pork with ginger and spring onions which was excellent, all the other dishes on the table looked brilliant as well.
Definitely worth a repeat visit.
A. K.
Nice place, friendly staff, a couple of dishes whereas bit too spice, hotter than we were used to, but we would go back.
A. B.
Xinjiang beef, fried green beans and mapo tofu are great! All other Sichuan dishes I've tried have been nice too. Only gripe is that the food seems less spicy than other Sichuan restaurants, maybe they do this for westerners? Would be better if they didn't give a weakened version.
Z.
we came here with our friends today... absolutely epic place the stuff is sooo lovely and the manager was sooooo sweet kept checking on us food was out of this world had a great time will deffo be back again. one of our fav place in Glasgow
M. M.
Lovely food, atmosphere
A. M.
Really really good. Proper Szechuan good. Good portions and not bad price really. Nice service too, the guy kept offering to take our family photo, and that was much appreciated. We enjoyed it very much. It was very crowded so best to book ahead.
D. W.
Excellent meal in pleasant surroundings, staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back.
P. L.
Excellent service, food Excellent, pleasant atmosphere, highly recommended, only here for a few days but will be back in tomorrow. Thank you.
J. C.
This is in my opinion the best Chinese Restaurant in Glasgow my wife and I have visited on many occasions and the food is always top-drawer, when you go to a Chinese Restaurant on a Wednesday evening and there are only 3 tables available and the Restaurant is filled with Chinese people I take this as a good sign that the Restaurant is doing something right.
The prices are a little above other Restaurants but well worth it, give it a try you won't be disappointed.
J. M.
Excellent fresh, hot food. Friendly staff, highly recommend
D. G.
This is absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in Glasgow!
One interesting thing which is a common phenomenon among all
Chinese restaurants is they have two menus for different diners. Dishes in Chinese menu of this restaurant just make me feel like I'm eating in China. So in the past 2 years I came with my friends again and again when I miss home! But I totally have no idea how the food is on another menu. I guess that will be more friendly to local diners.
It is a good idea for you to ask for the Chinese menu and try the original Chinese food which will be exactly the same with what you can have in China. You may not like it, but why not just have a try. Real Chinese food and no need to fly to another country.
J. B.
Great food at good price. I will suggest to try Peking roast duck "北京烤鸭" so delicious dish. Do not order anything else at the same time, no side dishes. Eventually only a small bowl of rice if you like it. There is enough food for 2 people if you take a whole duck, or half for one.
R. P.
Went in for the lunch menu, first thing we noticed was that the place was immaculate, tastefully decorated with tables not crammed in. I had the hot and sour soup, chicken in seuzhuan sauce and cheese cake for £10.95.. Was a little dubious because of the low price but I was blown away by the quality. On top of that the staff were attentive and friendly. A great experience.
J. C.
Elegant restaurant with budget friendly business lunch menus. Most dishes are truly authentic and the dining environment is very pleasant. We would recommend to anyone looking for fine dining experience whilst enjoying authentic Oriental food.
k. b.
We had an absolutely amazing time here, the food was excellent, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend to anyone, we will defo be back
M. D.
Food perfect and had such a lovely waiter
Recommend the peking duck, also the King prawns in schuman sauce!
Y. M.
My favourite restaurant for an impromptu work lunch or even a great start to a long night.
Being a vegetarian, my usual dining out experience is simply "settling down" between 1-2 options in the menu, or go somewhere who serve decent options but lacks the atmosphere... Well, not this restaurant obviously!
I love their selection of tofu and exotic vegetables, they are always happy to make modifications for you as well. They serve very strong green tea with jasmine buds which is refreshing after a hot and spicy dish. I haven't had alcohol there in a while but I do remember their new world wines were good quality, i think it was Chile or NZ, they were incredibly smooth.
The decor is well thought out as well, honestly this restaurant is too good for Sauchiehall Street. If it was nearer GWR or merchant city it would instantly become a phenomenon - then again I prefer dining with fellow Chinese rather than people who only order chicken/beef curry with chips and diet coke!!!
Lastly, I'd love to see some proper chinese desserts there like green tea pudding , wifecakes etc glutinous rice ice cream maybe? Just a thought :-)
A. F.
The food quality and selection here is simply fantastic. Wonton soup was cooked perfectly. Cold sliced pork in Sichuan sauce tasted amazing. The dumplings had a filling that was authentic and the skin was not too thick or thin. The sliced Sichuan pork strips were spicy and the pork meat themselves were not too chewy. The only thing that we didn't like was the crab but that was only because we spent 30 minutes trying to crack it open with tools and only got a few morsels of food. We left the place complwtely stuffed

I just have to leave a review, 1st time I've ever did, im currently in hospital an ordered delivery as craving good Chinese food, was to be delivered to house then mum bring to Royal infirmary before 5pm final drop off time, delivery driver arrived at home around 4.40pm which was fine as restaurant was quite far away, mum took order an delivery driver very kindly gave my mum a lift to hospital to ensure it made it before 5pm, im absolutely completely thankful to that driver for being willing to do that, mother tried to tip the gentleman which he refused as he was going that way, I can only thank that gentleman from bottom of my heart, never expected this, so thank you very much to driver, your one hell off a guy, food was amazing, will order again
N. M.
Wow what an experience, proper food Chinese style no messing. The best food I have ever tasted.the real deal.one word of warning be aware,if you are like me and have no idea of real Chinese food ,ask the staff they will tell you how large the portion is trust me after your meal the price will surprise you it certainty did me,the quality of food and service will make you think you are a V.I.P.
K.
Authentic and tasty food. The portion is big enough to share with friends. Staffs are friendly. Definitely recommend!
J. m.
Nice place for a meal, very friendly staff, food was very good,we had beef Sichuan for main, big menu to choose from.
K.
Well established and popular Chinese restaurant. Lunch menu has wide range of starters and mains, a la carte extensive. Plenty of Chinese diners, staff are friendly, service quick. Decor modern and elegant.
M. D.
Great food. Friendly staff. Nice location. Quick service. A bit too dark to appreciated visually the food but I spend a nice evening with 5 work colleagues.
A. D.
simply beautiful, great choice, prices are hard to beat and the food couldn't be tastier. might call again next time in Glasgow
G. M.
In my opinion Sichuan House is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Glasgow city centre, I've visited a number of times and the food has always been amazing. If you love spicy food definitely visit this place soon.
C. H.
Really liked it. I was there with 4 people and we ordered loads of different dishes. Each one was really nice. Staff were friendly. Id recommend the place to anyone.
S. E.
Excellent food, good value combined with first class service. You know when it's a good place to eat when you see the number of Chinese people eating there.
G. M.
Great food and very good service
C. L.
Fantastic food .I would recommend to family and friends. This place is just around the corner from The King's Theater so we went for meal before the show. Large choice of food . Great service!
S. A.
Although seemed busy, were seated and served quickly, staff were accomodating and pleasant, food was great, good portions and priced reasonably.. Only possible negative was toilets were downstairs, also we did not pre book
G. M.
Food was fantastic. Service was quick and friendly. I really like the picture based menu and dish looked just as it did in menu. Top class
w. d.
The food was delicious, and colourful, not like the usual brown sludge you usually get from Chinese takeaways will be back.
I. M.
Large table booked, mixed reviews on various dishes ordered, mine was lush lol
K. G.
Lovely selection of authentic dishes (my Chinese dining partner verified). Will go back.
D. G.
Went with friends and family had the set three course meal was very tasty and didn't cost much
A.
Really adorable place, great atmosphere...I choose the Peking roast duck and was delicious, crunchy outside and delicate meat.....same for the pork dumplings and the fry squid....I highly recommend this place.
E.
I'm very critical towards food and this place pleased me a lot! One of the nicest restaurants in Glasgow. And very nice staff!
N. M.
Really nice food and good value if you eat before 6.30 pm. Service was good too, attentive but not over the top. Will definitely return.
R. G.
Food was great as was the staff, price was a little high
R. P.
The crispy shredded pork changed my life
M. C.
Mixed experience regarding kindness.
Metal medium quality, Ambiente could bei better. Families with Smalltalk, running Kids, very loud, Not stopped.
Prices to high for the offers
L. A.
Best Chinese we have had in years, we would happily travel the 350 miles from the Shetland islands again ( finances permitting), to eat there again, living on the Shetland Islands we have access to great quality fresh produce and don't like processed food, this restaurant did not disappoint 😁
j. W.
Beautiful food, staff very attentive will definitely return!
V. B.
Very nice Chinese experience in Glasgow.
Traditional tastes and large choice. To share with friends around a mix or single plates.
Hope you will enjoy
P. K.
Had Chicken in Scichan sauce, quite Spicy but tasty if you don't mind Spicy food.
J. F.
The food is nice .....but not with dirty yellow marrygold rubber gloves on....
You can't wash your hands with them on and you should not be serving food with them on ........you need to read the guidelines on this please
D. M.
Good food
A. K.
Excellent food and first class service. Prices are very reasonable too. I would strongly recommend a visit to this restaurant.
R. R.
We had the business lunch menu . Plenty of choices . Food very good and there was plenty of it .
D. S.
Genuinely one of my top favourite restaurants in the U.K. - food is next level tasty.
S. Y.
Great authentic Sichuan food. Would have given 5 stars but the waiters there are not very friendly
J. R.
Decent food. Not many Vege options. Business lunch from £9 for 2 courses but probably just as well to share a meal with the large £2 rice. Can be expensive.
D. O.
I loved this place. The food is great and the servers are warm and welcoming. It's a great place to get a bite to eat.
G. M.

Service was good and the decor was tasteful
M. H.
Deserves 10 +++. Amazing food, fast very pleasant servers. Highly recommend this restaraunt!
抖. T.
The decoration is very high class, food is real chinese food , not like other localised chinese taste food, if u want to experience real Chinese cuisine this is the best place to be, but they also have localised menu for westerners who maybe can't cop real spicy food so much, so everybody can find something to eat there
G. v.
A nice find in the heart of Glasgow that is good for groups large or small even on Sunday afternoons. You can get reaosnably lives much meneus and the tai tea was delicious
C. M.
