T. G.I got the Italian chicken and it was the best breaded chicken I've ever eaten outside if my Mom's. My husband got a medium steak, but it was super well done and he didn't eat it. The gal made me a customer drink because they didn't have the one on the menu and it was very delicious! I'd go there again.
V.As a restaurant this is one of my favourites. It has no right being as good as it is as it's a pub! But this pub grub is actually fantastic quality and very importantly extremely cheap. Value for money here is unmatched.
D. B.Quiet lunch out and can honestly say the food was very tasty, hot (husband had a steak and it was still sizzling away long after he started eating) and portions were great. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because it was mid week and lunchtime it was quiet but there was a variety of diners from couples to families. friends and even workmen (who were respectfully clean) so couldn't fault atmosphere then but not been present at a much busier time. All in all a great place to go.
D. M. D.Had southern fried chicken to start with and really enjoyed it. Main meal was the Hunters chicken with bacon and cheese. Little mix up as I did not want Barbecue sauce on it. Staff immediately replaced it and it was great. Will be back again soon.

r.Lovely staff. Food choice is limited to baked potatoes if you are gluten intolerant and vegetarian. Prices are reasonable.

B. S.Not a patch on what it used to be. It sadly seems to have gone downhill and the quality of the food that we had on our visit was not like we had experienced on past visits. Hopefully things improve as this was always a popular place for food and drink.
S. B.We use the CML quite a bit. But on this occasion we were left disappointed as food service was stopped at 6pm. This puts us off when dining at the weekend.

a. m.Staff aren't the friendliest. Ordered food and when it arrived, 4 meals were missing items from the stated menu, when we asked where the missing items were, we were told "we've ran out" but weren't offered an alternative or a refund. Won't go back for food. A word of warning, don't go for a meal, especially with kids if there is football on as it was very rowdy and language was shocking. We had to move seats to get away from it, but could still hear it at the far end.
t.You should bring back the custard and chocolate buttons dessert please and thank you.

A. M.The crispy chilli beef comes with a jug of chilli sauce but theres sauce already poured over the crispy beef making it soggy. It would have been better with just the jug of sauce so the beef was still crispy when it arrived at the tabe.

Place is always clean and staff regularly cleaning tables. Place gets really busy on a Saturday night and they usually have a live DJ at weekends.
Good place to watch the football with plenty of screens, nice family section tucked at the back with a little play area for kids. High chairs available.
Large outdoor seated area, a great place to drink when the sun is shining.
Pub has a pool table, claw machines (win soft toys) the usual gambling machines, & a cash machine on the premises.
Dedicated smoking section to the side with outdoor seats & patio heater.

M.We stopped here yesterday for lunch with friends who live locally, and had a lovely meal, the staff were very friendly and helpful and although the pub was busy we didn't have long to wait for our meal which was still sizzling when it arrived. Portions adequate and well presented. We have been here before and will definitely be back in the future.

although I can remember one night back in about 2013ish I was sitting at the very back with my support worker right next to this dead Chavy looking bloke who was staring at me as he ate his chips and when I got up to go to the toilet he was on his phone with his elbow poking out so as you can imagine I accidentally brushed past him and he kind of shivered a little as it happened. And when I got back he said to me SEE WHEN YE GO PAST MEH GONNY SAY EXCUSE MEH but I truth I did only I said it quietly as you do when passing strangers so I told him I did but he insisted that I didn’t 😒
he was on the phone to someone as well about a business. but who knows what that might be 😏 probably something illegal.
