Reviews of The Hug and Pint
J. S.
The highlight of my visit was to Glasgow! The food was delicious, the food was asian inspired and super authentic. The staff was very nice and helpful, the place itself was really cool and the music also super nice. Thank you for the amazing experience ✨💖
E. L.
DELICIOUS! The food was soooo good. I shared a rice, black fungus (tastes way better than sounds) greens, peanut tempeh (favorite plate), and miso mushroom. Good size for 2 people. The flavors were amazing. The staff was so nice! Great recommendations and so kind. Would love to go here again. Tasty vegan food. You won’t miss any animal products!
S. L.
Love this place! Really unique vegan asian tapas-style grub - be an adventurous eater when you come here and you won’t be disappointed!
G. H.
Loved it here!
All vegan Bar-style place with downstairs band room.
Delicious small Asian tapas style dishes to share.
The waitstaff was great and gave good recommendations.
The garlic greens were particularly tasty!
A. C.
I was here for a gig so can't comment on food (I'm also not vegan) but a great venue for an intimate gig - I think the capacity downstairs is 100? Well stocked bar, nice staff and 2 minutes away from St George's Cross underground station.
It's pretty small and I'm not sure if you need to book but if you're keen to go you might want to do that.
The food however smelt great so may take a trip back and try it!!
J. M.
Probably the tastiest food in Glasgow. Forgot it was vegan (not that I've got anything against vegan food, but hopefully you know what I mean). Really super nice and accommodating staff too. Highly recommended. They also have an amazing live music programme in the venue downstairs. Enjoy!
L. S.
Popped in for a quick drink after a meal out. Great selection of beer and spirits. The food smelled amazing! If I hadn't have just eaten, I'd have tried something here. Will be back to check out the food at some point!
C. B.
Some of the best vegan food in Glasgow and a fantastic pub and a nice wee venue downstairs. The place has a lot of history with the artists that have played there and is an important place in the history of the west end.
D. G.
Roll over traditional pub grub, the Hug & Pint has you beat. Such interesting and flavoursome Asian vegan dishes! Reasonable prices and great for sharing, I only [selfishly] wish they were in Edinburgh as well! Lovely wee gig space downstairs too, if you go for a gig take the time to dine first.
G. T.
Can't fault the staff, professional and attentive. The Lager was the usual price for Glasgow / West End. The food was OK but that's it. It might be a good place to go of a night and for a gig but only popped in for food and a pint.
E. W.
amazing place with great vegan dishes and beers! also been to see a gig in their venue which was lovely and intimate with great sound quality
C. B.
The food was fantastic. Great place for sharing vegan plates. The mushrooms and miso sauce are tasty and lovely, also really loved the sweet soy and coconut tempeh. Service was quick and friendly. Drygate beers on tap, including Disco forklift which is great 👍
L. H.
superb vegan food, great drinks, fabulous venue. this place has it all 💖💖💖
R. B.
Ate some lovely vegan lunch at this place. Relaxed, informal, great stuff. More hot food selections would be a recommendation, a Thai or katsu veg curry for example. Not just jackfruit. Great experience, bookmarked.
D. P.
First time vegan for a light lunch , West End, with work troops. Really tasty dishes, but next time will double up the order portions...
r. g.
Came here on a Saturday evening for food without a reservation, we were lucky that a window table was available for us, however, the window table was a little narrow for us with people standing at the bar right behind.
I would have preferred to wait by the bar till a table became available if that was an option.
The food was incredible, served quickly and so fresh! It was hard to choose what to get, I felt spoiled for choice but the waitress was very helpful and made some recommendations for us. Definitely worth returning to try more.
M. K.
We had a lovely evening here. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere and amazing food! I'm still dreaming of the aubergine dish (can I have the recipe?).
I am not vegan at all, but I could eat this food absolutely everyday. Loved loved loved it!
J. T.
You want some of the best vegan food in Glasgow? A class wee venue for intimate gigs? Great drinks and chat with dead friendly staff? It’s allllll here
A. M.
hidden gem at West end. great Asian flavours at reasonable prices. it's a great alternative to pub food. would recommend a selection of dishes as these offer a variety of tastes to try. Also, it's VEGAN!
Y.
Went here for a show and drinks and last minute meal. The show downstairs was nice and liked the tempranillo a lot. Then boyfriend and I went upstairs for food and got the jackfruit curry, blackbean dish, and courgette dish(? it's been a few days, so forgetting), and a bowl of rice. Prices were very fair, food was great, especially the jackfruit curry (maybe a tiiiiny bit salty?). Service and atmosphere was excellent as well. Lighting's a bit dim + not the prettiest looking food but tastes great.
R. M.
As always the staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent food and drink. I was there for the entertainment provided by Native Harrow which was wonderful.
S. T.
Have loved the food here for a few years. They don’t always have it, but the tempeh dish may be my favourite restaurant dish of all time.
J. R.
My absolute favorite meal I’ve had in Glasgow! Everything was delightful- the drinks, the food, and the staff.
D. M.
Excellent tapas which I didn't even realise was largely vegan until after I had eaten it. Simple wooden floored bar. Easy going atmosphere and live music sometimes
J. C.
Fun buzzy after works dinner and drinks with vegan colleagues. Worked out well for the non vegans especially the dairy free ones. The dairy free white Russian was a nice surprise and the Kim Chee porridge was lovely. Service was smooth and hassle free. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed with a mix of a few tourists and trendy locals alike.
M. C.
I had the miso soup and the jackfruit curry + jasmin rice. The curry had a little spiciness to it, but not much - which was how I wanted. One word? Delicious. Just wish I could have tried more dishes!
A. B.
Food was amazing, each dish was delicious. Small plates so get a few between a group. Only downside that service was a bit slow but I think that's only due to shortages due to covid. Drinks were also great and fairly priced
V. L.
Delicious vegan food! Staff is friendly and helpful, beers was nice and there was a lovely vibe in the place :)
R. K.
Loved the food here, the menu was vegetarian. The mushroom based curry and porridge were great.
S.
Outstanding food!! We have never had food like that before. We were blown away. Wish we could eat here regularly.
H. H.
Amazing food and friendly staff would definitely recommend checking out
W. C.
Really delicious Asian style small plates, thank you Hug and Pint for an amazing meal xx
D. R.
My first time at a Vegan restaurant. Great helpful friendly service. We had nine mixed tapas style between five and we didn't finish it. Very filling and very tasty. We had a bit of everything and all dishes were good. A couple were a bit too spicy for some but overall the food was excellent and we will definitely be back.
G. S.
Such an amazing find when we were in Glasgow, I didn't know vegan food could taste this good! It has a great, low key vibe too.
B. C.
Maybe the bests food I’ve had. Understated place. But with major talent in the kitchen. Wish I lived local...
H. B.
Nice friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food is 100% vegan and in a sharing plate style, order rice and a few different dishes and you're good to go for a few people. Not so great if you have nut allergies I'm afraid, this greatly limits choice as most dishes had them when I went. Good selection of drinks.
N. M.
Really tasty, vegan, Asian, small plates. The gig venue is one of the best places to catch wee bands on the way up.
G. B.
The food here is SO GOOD! I eat vegan sometimes, not always, and this place makes really tasty food. The mushroom curry on jasmine rice with garlic and greens mixed in - delicious. Dishes are small so you can order a few and mix as you want. Beers are decent - like to see some experimental brews to go with that great grub.
K.
Best vegan food in Glasgow and a fantastic bar too.
D. K.
I tried a very good curry there. The only thing, if you don't like spicy its better to let them know, the curry was somewhat spicy.
N. S.
Great bar and venue! Friendly and inclusive.
J. D.
Went for the William Boyle gig and thought we'd grab some food. Real surprise. It was great. Tapas-style vegan. Waitress helped out with the choices so got a great mix of dishes. Back for more soon.
S. P.
Incredible Asian vegan food. Highly recommend the sweet soy and coconut tempeh dish.
V. T.
Fantastic range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu
T. A.
Great small venue in basement with vegetarian restaurant upstairs
I. W.
Service was good, venue was pretty cool. Food was good, but not amazing. My favourite was the jackfruit curry, the other dishes we ordered I wasn't crazy about, but I think it's worth checking out, they have a changing menu, so they'll have some different choices next time. It's small plates; 4-5 dishes for two people. Decent amount of food for the price.
M. S.
Great relaxed atmosphere, vegetarian food was some of the best we've tried. We'd highly recommend and will definitely come back
I. R.
Have ordered takeout twice in the last week and has been mind blowing both nights! The most delicious food with great portion sizes and around 5-6 quid a main dish!
G. W.
This is probably somewhere that many folks would give 5 star but it just wasn't my cup of tea. The place is really busy and the accoustics are not great so we had to shout across the table to hear each other which was exhausting. The food sounded great and who doesn't love sharing lots of small plates? However, it was a bit like Goldilocks - some dishes had too little flavour and some had too much. The chickpea curry was actually quite nice so if you are going I would get two small plates of that and enjoy it on your own. Won't hurry back but if you are a young, hip vegan and don't really care too much about food flavour or what your friends are saying then this place is for you!!
S. A.
Great venue for gigs staff friendly and great location
S. K.
The staff are just great sooo friendly.
The food is mostly Vegan/ Taiwan.
They are very LGBT aware and welcoming "gender neutral toilets" 👍👍
There is live music on in the evening.
Location is good near subway etc.
A. S.
Lovely selection of vegan asian dishes, especially the tofu and mushroom dishes
J. D.
Amazing vegan restaurant with a good selection of beers as well. Dishes change but my favourites were the coconut and sweet soy tempeh, mushrooms in miso and chilli garlic beansprouts. Brilliant place that also has a venue below so has a great atmosphere
G. B.
A fantastic restaurant and pub. 100% vegan menus. Asian inspired food ... And everything was excellent. Lots of little sharing dishes and a great alternative to the traditional Sunday roast! A definatle recommend. And the staff was lovely too!
J. H.
We were really impressed with our lunch at The Hug and Pint. We ordered a variety of dishes and all were well portioned, beautifully prepared and deliciously authentic Japanese style food. The prices are very reasonable and the drinks menu is comprehensive. The space is bright and airy, though it was pretty cold. We're glad to have gone out of our way to make a stop here, it was worth it for a tasty casual meal.
I. G.
Great food. Share a rice. One dish each is fine, have a selection for a group. We had one dish each and were satisfied with the amount of food. Great service. Great drinks. Food was really nice - would suggest the Mushroom in Miso Sauce. Fantastic.
S. H.
Food was good, we were expecting normal pub fare but it was actually quite good Asian dishes, although almost all quite spicy. Beer selection is a little limited, but some good options. It's quite a small space on the ground floor, and quite noisy, but probably the best vegan options in the areas.
J. A.
Amazing bar and venue. Some of the best gigs I have seen have been in here. The bar is an awesome place for a pint too and the food is incredible. I'm a card-carrying meat-eater but it's the only vegan food that I regularly make a point of going out for.
Best bar in Glasgow bar none!
J. H.
I have been known to eat here 2-3 times a week sometimes! The Black Pepper Aubergine is my ultimate favourite food, so much so that my fiancé had a miniature version made into a pin for me! The space is welcoming, great for groups of all sizes and an excellent drinks selection. The staff are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with the decisions between all the tasty dishes. I couldn't recommend this place enough!! X
K. B.
Great place to visit if you are a vegan or a lover of asian cuisine. I've also heard that they have great gigs too!
S. N.
I've eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent and the staff always friendly. I'm not vegan/veggie, but suggested H&P for a large group outing recently. We had a few vegan-sceptics in the group who weren't sure, but came along anyway. It's safe to say they're converted thanks to the quality and flavour of the dishes. One member of the group suggested that the simple menu could do more to sell the dishes, as they exceeded his expectations. Next time he's going to try "greens, garlic" because he's now sure it'll be much tastier than it sounds. Bonus: because of the family-style dishes and lack of meat, it always works out pretty cheap to eat here, even with drinks. Give it a go!
H. M.
The Hug and Pint is my favourite vegan restaurant in Glasgow. The food is always delicious and the staff are helpful and lovely. At the time of my last visit I was cutting out certain foods and the staff were very accommodating, outlining which dishes I could eat and offering to make some differently. They are also a wonderful wee gig venue
D. H.
My first vegan meal and I'm converted.
Had a great night at the venue down stairs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful just wish the facilities (toilets) better and it would be a 5 star.
R. W.
Love this place! Always amazing food and friendly staff! Though accessibility needs improving. There’s no access for disabled people for gigs and if there is there’s no notice. And to get into the venue u need to go up stairs the only reason I bring this up is because I love this venue and think that it’s impatient they accommodate to everyone because there a wonderful place to go to.
P. F.
Best vegan food I’ve ever eaten. Tasty, lots of variety and happy and fun atmosphere. People serving are friendly and kind. Definitely one for my Scotland diaries to visit again.
E. W.
My favorite place in the city for vegan cuisine. Unlike so other restaurants of its kind the menu was small but creative and cooked with knowledge of well balanced flavors. Ideal for ordering and sharing small plates and a great place to stop by in the west end.
M. T.
Nice little venue. Excellent service. Tasty food, all lovely vegan tapas dishes ... we actually had one of everything on the menu! lol. Downstairs is a lovely intimate performance space with really cool indie, local and touring bands and soloists doing gigs there each week.
Suggestions for development: fentimans or fevertree soft drinks would be a great addition to their range. They do do filter coffee as not much room for a big machine but maybe a small fresh coffee machine would make a great addition!! Thanks again x
L. A.
So happy The Hug & Pint is our local. Where do I start? Friendly staff, great tunes, amazing food... perfect place to spend an evening. They have a delicious vegan pan-Asian menu that never fails to excite (please try the black pepper aubergine or jack fruit curry - you don't need to be vegan to enjoy the food)! They also have a great selection of beers, wines, spirits - whatever your preferred poison, they will have something to tickle your fancy. Also worth visiting for their incredible live music events - gigs are regularly held in the basement area and it's the perfect place to see both established and up and coming artists in an intimate environment. Live music on most nights (all listings on their website). Definitely worth checking out - spent many a wonderful evening here!
C. P.
Really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and drinks here! Neither my wife or I are vegetarian or vegan, but loved the food, as well as the tapas like way the menu is put together. Very fast service, and they have the Thistly Cross cider we love!
S. T.
Went here as a non-vegan for a vegan meal. Had a delicious curry dish and the spicy crackers you can get to start with/snack on are very tasty/moreish! There was a nice, cosy, atmosphere and would go back there for just a pint or two as well. One negative thing was how closely packed the tables were, could've done with a bit more space!
S. R.
Really fantastic atmosphere, great music and the staff are so friendly and attentive! The food is excellent and beautifully presented - especially the coconut tempeh and the black pepper aubergine. They've also got a really interesting selection of drinks. One of my favourite places to eat in Glasgow.
V. C.
Food was inoffensive and reasonably priced. As a band was rehearsing upstairs and music was playing, the noise level was a bit chaotic so not the greatest atmosphere in the back area although the front of the bar seemed better. The staff loitered about looking bored and were not particularly friendly or professional with one waiter appearing to be thoroughly miserable. Based on previous reviews we expected a much higher standard of food and service. We will probably give it another try though as everybody has off nights.
N. B.
I'm definitely not vegan, but we ordered everything off the menu between 6 of us, and it was all very tasty indeed. Staff were friendly and helpful. They gave us a high chair for the baby as well.
D. M.
We came here to see Grace Petrie's a lefty Christmas in their down stairs music venue. We spent a an hour in the small bar area before heading downstairs. The bar was quite expensive, although about about average for the area. The food smelt amazing.... if we had time, we would have eaten here and will go back to just try the food. Bar staff were friendly and happy.
The music venue downstairs is very small but cosy and a great atmosphere. (I guess it depends on what you are seeing!) There is space for about 10 people to sit. It maybe holds about 50 to 60 people max for it to be comfortable. The sound down there is great and really fills the room. It was not quite what I was expecting but we had a great time.
4 star review as I've not tried the food yet!
S. M.
A bar, vegan restaurant and venue. It can be a little cramped at times and could sort out the toilet a bit better. There are toilets up and downstairs. Upstairs is unisex. Confusing, but clean.
Service is OK and there's a healthy range of beers, spirits and cocktails.
Good, intimate place to see a band. You can sit outside in the daytime.
S. S.
Amazing food, so good I didn't even take a picture of any left!
D. M.
I really enjoy going here. The food is great (vegan) and has a decent selection of craft beers. Music venue downstairs is also cool and has an intimate vibe with good sound.
L. B.
First visit on a cold, wintry night. Warmed, cheered and very well-fed during our meal. The food was absolutely delicious and service was lovely. Had heard heaps of good things and this visit more than lived up to the recommendations. Will definitely return!
L. J.
Had a fabulous meal here last week, first time having a full vegan ( I'm not vegan) menu and the staff were great at assisting us with our choices and explaining what the dishes were like.
The food was amazing 👍
We also had tickets to see the Ukukele Death Squad and the were absolutely fantastic u couldn't recommend them enough, energetic, comedic, really talented lads.
G. W.
Food is fantastic, without reserve the best vegetarian food I have ever tasted. In the past have not been a fan but can honestly say that I would eat these dishes over a meat based dish. Food is fresh and unpretentious. Bar itself is friendly and has a great ambience.
S. W.
I’d say I’m quite critical of the smallest of things when it comes to eating out but I could not fault anything with The Hug and Pint. Honestly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.. being an all vegan menu some may think they may be limited with ingredients, but I can vouch that the menu fully explores so many new fresh, colourful and rich flavours I’ve never tasted before and at such a cheap cost. It doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not. This joint is 100% worth your time.
T.
Fantastic vegan Thai food. Good beer. OK service.
P. R.
Unique and fresh take on Pan Asian cuisine! So good i actually got 2 meals for takeway last time so that i could enjoy it well into the next day. Delightful relaxed surrounds and great music, venue downstairs is top notch too, up there with the best sounding in the city.
L. u.
I have been in here for gigs, drinks and meals. The staff are always really friendly with a good knowledge of drinks on offer. The food is gorgeous!! all toilet are gender neutral too which I really appreciate. A lovely place.
C. v. D.
Drinks are quite expensive and it’s very small. Downstairs music venue is very nice
P. S.
Food is really tasty, and you won't roll out round shaped but it's just the right amount for a decent price, I'd say. As someone said there is nothing wrong witthe staff, but indeed, they could sometimes smile more, but maybe the atmosphere in work isn't nice for some reason, we never know. If you asked me, I'd introduce proper coffee, they only have filter have filter one. But that's minor. Overall very good experience, will always be coming back.
d. d.
Was at a gig at the Hug & Pint and a friend had a curry (mushroom & cashew) it looked interesting and by my standards a smallish portion? The gig area is quite small and it got really warm. The sound was reasonable and viewing was either a hit or a miss dependent on who or how tall the person in front is? Managed to get parked nearby and overall the venue is ok.
J. L.
H&P offers a great selection of small plates, of which I suggest 3 per person or perhaps 5 between 2.
+ of the selection available, everything is served and presented well and to a high standard of authenticity.
+ great atmosphere and dog friendly!
- slightly limited menu options , which may be due to the kitchen size,
- can get a bit cold and breezy during winter. Bring a jumper!
R. W.
One of the best places to eat in Glasgow, caters to all allergens and ethics of the modern food world. Friendly staff who also know the ins and outs of what they are selling.
As a venue for live performing, great space and sound system. Well thought out and intimate for artists and their fans.
R. G.
Lovely and busy place. You can have a lovely meal, you also go downstairs to listen to live music. I had mushrooms and rice. It is like a tapas, I enjoyed it. There is an ambient and lively place.
A. D.
Great intimate venue with up and coming artists. The food is a pretty excellent representation of modern vegan food. I found it just a touch over seasoned but still exceptional. Great ambience.
J. P.
Excellent food an great atmosphere.
O. W.
Incredible Asian food tapas style. Really really tasty. Interior’s lovely too
C. D.
Great music venue, very intimate, great sound. Food is all vegan which isn't really my style but other people enjoy their food. Drinks are competitively priced.
S. P.
We had a great time on this hike. Its a good hike for kids, about 5 km in length. Lakes are beautiful and lots to see.
B. S.
Had an incredible tapas style selection of dishes under their "eat everything" arrangement. A dozen wonder vegetarian small plates with an Indian / Thai / Korean fusion theme. Very friendly lot in there. I love this city .
M. S.
Good venue
Good vegan food options
Unique music venue
j. o.
Awesome place for live music.. Had to bring my own steak though!! Lol
J. M.
Really tasty selection of vegan food. Cashew nut curry and tempeh curry were highlights. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the bar, mixed crowd.
A. K.
Excellent, tasty food and a really nice atmosphere - a very relaxing ambience. The service was quick and can't be faulted!
It was only my second visit to date, but I'll definitely be back again. Would recommend to anyone who happens to be in the area.
E. P.
Cozy vegan hipster place with tiny event venue downstairs.
What baffles me is that presumably this place is meant to be mindful about things, I suppose that's one reason why is vegan. But the beer for the venue downstairs still comes in *double* plastic cups which go directly in the landfill bin once empty. Dunno, maybe I'm being weird.
L.E. A chat with Brian convinced me that in fact they do their absolute best to separate all their dry recyclables. I trust you Brian.
T. S.
Great vegan small plates in a relaxed atmosphere. The jackfruit curry was delicious as was the mushroom and cashew one. Good tunes and friendly staff made for a good lunch. Prices were reasonable.
T. C.
Quaint, cozy venue to get close to musicians and performers. Great food and bar. Relaxed and homely.
L. S.
Went for gig, great atmosphere downstairs, drinks a shade pricy but noticed clientele in main bar looked like they wouldn't mind paying it. A couple of the lads behind the bar could have been more pleasant and on the night their staff member left the door unattended allowing a few people in for free. Acts not bothered about that more the fact that they had agreed to man the door then didn't a bit of a shame.
S. A.
Outstanding. Everywhere vegan/vegetarian food with an Asian style. Flavours are awesome and staff are really friendly. Can't wait to come back.
D. C.
Food is fantastic, whether you're vegan or not, with creative use of vegan ingredients. Staff always friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
Z. V. r.
Lovely intimate gig venue , awesome food and a great atmosphere , all you need for a lovely night out!
C. H.
Been to this venue on several occasions for food, music and socially and it's without a doubt one of my favourite places for all three!
Food is fantastic, staff are friendly and accommodating, downstairs has great sounding venue and the general atmosphere is welcoming.
R. B.
Delicious food, relatively priced, but not that happy with the service. If I come back, I'd come back for the food but staff doesn't seem that friendly or enthusiastic so it doesn't seem like a place I'd bring my family or heavily recommend. They need to work on the service aspect for sure.
G. P.
Great pub and atmosphere. The furniture was wooden and welcoming. The drinks choice is quite good and as I was told there is a vegetarian food voice. Definitely recommended
C. S.
Had heard good things about this one, but never got around to trying it until this weekend. It was pretty quiet (the last time is looked in was a Friday evening when it was jammed) so got served very quickly. Food was lovely (I'm not a veggie so I wasn't sure what to expect) and the suggestions from the barman/waiter were spot on.
E. C.
Went to see the Withered Hand gig here, didn't eat but the food smelt and looked awesome! Draught beer was alright and they had a good bottle selection. Great gig venue as well - very intimate.
M. K.
Great food and great range of beers. Staff were helpful and I'd definitely go back.
We were also at the wee venue downstairs, it was a bit chilly but a great wee space with surprisingly good sound.
A. J.
Tasty innovative Asian-fusion vegan 'small dishes' in relaxed dog friendly surroundings.... And good beer selection. What's not to like? :-)
N. G.
This place offers vegan Thai-inspired food and I liked it. Felt healthy and it was very tasty. Nice atmosphere too.
A.
Great place good live music
S. L.
Its always been a great pub, but the menu at the moment is outstanding. I find vegan restaurants are usually awful because they try and fail to replicate meat dishes... not so here :)
S.
Food was great for sharing and delicious! Very relaxing atmosphere! Staff were great also!
J. M.
Amazing food and menu. We were a table of 4 and ordered one of everything to share. Only one vegan but we all loved the food. Healthy and tasty
g. l.
Interesting venue with vegan food served till ten
i. g.
Lovely people, really good food, nice range of craft beers.
C. M.
Great place for lunch or dinner. Really good atmosphere. Food is amazing- whether you are vegan or not! Also a great selection of beers.
J. T.
Great staff, super friendly. Wonderful vegan cuisine delivered by very very professional bicycle messengers, nice 1 Glasgow.
A. C.
100% vegan. Highly recommend. Friendly staff. Brilliant food. Chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Will be going back for sure!
J. S.
Great small music venue 👍

One of the best vegan eateries in Glasgow with a Vietnamese menu. Friendly bar and to top it off a brilliant cosy music venue downstairs.
K. L.
Amazing food, tasty organic produce, cool skate/music decor with lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend you take the vegetarian in your life here, they won't be disappointed!
D. J. W.
The food is just a bloody treat - I've got my old favourites, but any time I try something new it's always incredible. Great selection of booze, lovely place to sit for an afternoon, or go for a sociable pint.
M. J.

Wow, one of the best places I've ever eaten. I dont even know how to describe what kind of food it is, kind of south east asian/Indonesian. But holy wow it is great, the flavours are endless, great prices too.
C. C.
Excellent food and friendly helpful staff
C. C.
Great wee venue. Staff made sure that I was comfortable to enjoy the show. The food smelled amazing so next time I will have to try some.
H. L.
It used to be my fav place in glasgow. I don't understand why the price is the same if the amount of food is like half of what it used to be? I would like to go more often, cause it's super tasty... But portions are small and if u want to eat enough for not being hungry better be rich.
A. J.
Not a vegan, not even a vegetarian and I have to say I loved the meal I had here. Looking forward to having another when I'm back in May to see The Fast Camels play.
o. a.
Vegan Pub/Bar/Cafe with a deep routed love of music both established and up and coming as well as skate and hipster culture. Great for any customer.

Very friendly staff and amazing food! They change the menu twice a day and it depends on what they're getting delivered, so you always go in and see a new menu which I love
R. C.
Great food and decent beer choice. Music often hit and miss and sadly the last 2 visits it's been a miss. And at a volu. E o ly a deaf engineer would approve of.... Music- Still worth the punt sometimes
p. m.
Small but great little venue for up and coming bands.
K.
A limited but super delicious vegan food menu that gets me eating things I have never heard of, complemented by an extensive and interesting drinks selection, make me enjoy my visits here. Cool wee place.
M. S.
Some of the best food in the west end, full stop. As much as I like meat and fish, keep coming back here for vegan wonder food at affordable price with good beer.

Food and service was excellent, a table of noisy diners spoiled our experience, even after we pointed out to staff member re noisy diners, he said "I think they're leaving soon" they left 30minutes after this.... Also noticed other customers leaving due to the noise of that table...
g.
It's amazing how such relatively small venue is capable of being this mesmerising pot of diversity. From the choice of drinks, trough food, to the artists it gathers under its roof - Hug and Pint is the essence of contemporary Glasgow.
