We order from here regularly Food is always fresh , delivered on time and the place is gleaming everytime we visit. Batters always perfect hate when some chippies over fry the food and its solid. If you cant get a delivery defo pop over.

Ordered online. Quoted delivery time was around 45 minutes. The delivery arrived in 12 minutes!!! Food, as always was lovely.

Nice food and staff, but they have started using those terrible boxes for fish and chips that divide the fish and chips into small slots, meaning you get about half of the normal amount of chips. Please go back to normal boxes and portion size

The Kraken Chippy, I've order online and the service was very good, food arrived quickly and still hot. When ordering in shop the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was freshly made in a bright clean environment.

1st time trying this chippy on a recommendation. Was a busy Saturday night when other takeaways were not answering their phones. We ordered a fish supper & a 12” pizza. Both were excellent & delivered early. So glad we found somewhere that does a decent pizza in the area. It was delicious & not too doughy. Would have gave 5 stars but needed to reheat myself as it was lukewarm only. Will definitely be using this place again!

Been to The Kraken 3 or 4 times. Always been satisfied with the food. Special fish suppers are really good. Definitely worth a visit. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Food cooked fresh to order fish is amazing and pizza great too. Join their FB page to see offers Monday to wednesday. They can be very busy so phone ahead to order. Good lunchtime deals too.

OMG, best chippy I've had and I'm unfortunately American. But their fish, chicken and fritters and incredible. The curry sauce, i still have some in my fridge rn. Only place that can compete is a place in oban called the chippy and that's still in question.

Finally! A decent chippie in the area! Living in Rutherglen, there's plenty decent Indians and Chinese but was yet to find a chippie I'd return to.. Tried the Kraken tonight, lovely fresh pizzas and great crispy fish. They even gave us a couple scoops of Equis ice cream for having to wait on the pizzas which was very generous. Didn't mind the wait as its a nice clean shop to be in but still an appreciated gesture. Cheers!

Got the salt and chilli chicken pizza last night. That dough was amazing you could put any topping on that and it would be amazing. The salt and chilli I was a bit sceptical at first but glad I choose that as it was outstanding and probably the best pizza I’ve eaten.

Tried the Kraken for the first time tonight £4 for a fish supper it was superb a really nice big fillet of fish, crispy batter, chips were excellent and you can't beat that price will definitely be back
