Gorgeous chippie, the best in the Dumfries area according to someone in the queue. We decided to try two of Parmesans (a flattened chicken) suppers with various toppings which were amazing. A gorgeous change to the usual chippie options. Along with chessy chips and a fish supper (but no drinks) it came to £34 and we even had chips left over for a butty the next day. Definitely worth a try to see if it suits your tastes. 😎👍🏻

Best chicken kebab of my life. Got garlic mayo and chilli sauce too. There is onion and pickled red cabbage under the lettuce and tomato in the salad. Can't recommend enough.

5* for opening times! Definitely not bad. I'd go back. First impression is a "night time" take away.. chippy, kebabs, pizza etc. Appears to be run by non Scottish people but they cook decent Scottish style chips and offer salt&sos.. like a real Edinburgh chippy:) I'd definitely return if in area

I’ve eat from a thousand chippies and the Moffat is definitely in the top 10. Great chips crispy battered cod and go course deep fried Mars bars are all top quality. Friendly staff even at the most busy of times. CASH ONLY

Great place. It's very clean and has very tidy friendly staff. They have a very varied menu at very competitive prices. The food was excellent and the service was fairly fast for the amount we ordered (5 meals). Often puddings can be very stodgy and dry if they are overcooked but luckily the Moffat Chippy's pudding suppers were very moist and well cooked. Great place and can't recommend it enough if you're in the area. Hopefully we will be back before we leave.

We just requested a delivery of pizza but didn't have cash to pay. The owner was so kind he went out of his way to ensure we got our pizza. So kind and the pizza was delicious. Highly recommended.

Fish was okay and chips were okay. Heads up.. don't put chicken nugs and chips in a chip bag then pour red sauce on it .. the paper bag broke because of the sauce and heat it was all stuck to the food... I suggest putting that inside the fish boxes. We wouldn't have had red sauce all over the car.

Food is 10/10, chips are either locally sourced or own made, the fish is fresh and tasty, portion sizes equal of the prices! Amazing! The two boys at the counter were extremely friendly and kind. Large variety of sizes taste preferences. The shop is clean and very modest but the food is truly an explosion of our favorite tastes.

It’s gets a five star for me because it is a good chippy and chips are very nice but the extra 1 star off is the pizza I don’t like the pizza it tastes like it has salt in it but I recommend to try the pacoka it’s a good spicy food.

No wonder there is a queue for this place brilliant fish and chips. Tip for any compatriots from south of the border. Ask for a piece of fish and chips and your out the door rapid. I asked for traditional cod and chips and I think they had to go out and catch it.

We ordered online as we were driving down the A74(M) and so were able to pick our order up immediately as we arrived. Staff were really friendly too. Definitely better to eat here rather than on the motorway - it’s only about 2 miles away from the A74(M).

Freshly fried to order fish and chips. The menu here is massive, fish and chips, pizza, pies and desserts. Much more than your usual chippy. I've used them a few times when I've been hungry and found myself passing Moffat. Easy parking in the centre of the village.

The oil used to fry the fish needed changing. Use of beef dripping would create excellent result as the fish is nice thick and tastes good. Batter and chips tainted by the old oil.

Staff friendly and helpful, mixed kebab was superb, served with huge crunchy fresh salad of lettuce, tomato, red cabbage, onion, cucumber, and excellent home made chilli sauce. For a tiny shop, they punch way above their weight.

Spent a week in Moffat, knew about the chippy before we arrived on Friday 4th September, our first meal, and it didn't disappoint, not as good as our local Colman's in Sunderland, but a close second, had another fish supper on Thursday, partner had a pizza loved it❤️

Was passing through here after purchasing a new car and went to first chippy and the saisage batter was white (walked in walked out lol) then went across the road to moffat chippy.the food and staff was out of this world. The woman who served us was so friendly and the food was NOT greasy. Would defo reccomend and thats coming from a very fussy eater 😎😎

I stopped in after a long day of driving for a portion of chips a little after lunchtime. Although the chippy was busy, it didn't take the two men long to be serving us. Quick and polite service, reasonable price and tasty food. Was very happy with my chips, and would go again if I was in the area :)
