Reviews of The Tearoom At Glasgow Botanic Gardens

Came here with a friend for a late lunch and we stayed all afternoon, the place was lovely and immersed in nature. Relaxing atmosphere, the staff was kind and the afternoon tea was very well presented and high quality. Good choices of sandwich fillings and bread, also for vegetarian and vegan - and good coffee! Definitely recommend for a self-care day away from the noise of the city

Very friendly and helpful waiting staff. Wide range of food made to order (not the soup obviously). Very good portions. No alcohol as they don't have a licence.

Not very impressed with the food - the soup was watery and bland, the sandwiches too small and odd tasting and it was all generally overpriced. The tea however was good, tastes very proper and nice. If I could, I would give 2.5 but due to the lovely staff and great service I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and go for 3 stars rather than 2.
Improve the food and lower prices slightly and I would return but I think we will find some place else next time, sorry.

Great place for a quick meal or afternoon tea. The menu isn't extensive but the quality is good, portions for jacket potatoes were large, prices are competitive and you get waitress service. We went for jacket potato with a pot of house tea with loads of extra water. On day we went, they were only taking cash. Problems with card readers.

The location is superb and having a coffee surrounded by trees and flowers is really nice.
The food itself was okay.

Fantastic location Botanic Gardens great in summer for walking enjoying sitting bench watching world go by. Check out the plants from all over world and carp fish. Fantastic gem of the city of Glasgow makes this one best places to visit if your in Glasgow. the flowers are stunning the gardeneners do fantastic job making this place look good.

I love the Tearoom at Glasgow Botanical Gardens.
The prices are very good and the baking is even better.
The staff are wonderful and very friendly. And they have a great display of art which changes each month.

I love this place! It's the loveliest place to grab lunch or a tea in the west end - the staff are so friendly and dishes are so good. Perfect at the moment especially with outside seating and being in the gardens for catch-ups & walks with friends. 10/10!

Really good service and food. The menu is simple but tasty. The staff are very understanding. We went with our autistic son who struggled being inside. They helped us to take him to the outdoors eating area with a smile. Definitely, we'll be back again.

Very nice place for a quick bite or beverage whilst visiting the botanics.

A small, cosy and charming tearoom. Everytime my grandma was in town, we would go at 4pm to enjoy a nice cup of tea and some treats. I would definitely recommend it.

The service was friendly and quick. The lady was very chatty and we enjoyed our refreshments. My wife had a latte and I had a can of Fanta. The Fanta was very over priced for a 330ml drink and a glass without ice. I felt like Dick Turpin had just ridden last us and taken me for a ride.... The manageress seemed very over bearing too. Otherwise the tearooms were lovely.

Splendid place for a quiet afternoon tea. We sat outside in the sunny weather. Enjoyed the meal so much. Very kind personnel met us. Loved it.

Visit on a winter day... had plain scone with clotted cream + strawberry jam. What a shame that jam comes in a small plastic container. Scone was more like a brioche but still tasty and slightly warm inside. During winter period, they close at 4pm. Maybe a bit early?!

Quaint tea room offering varied range of lunch / afternoon tea items at reasonable prices. Friendly staff willing to tailor menu items to suit children.

Great for afternoon tea: tasty and generous, for a good price. Only on the terrace, though: too tight inside.

Food OK. Staff pleasant enough. Had to wait ages for my food to come out.

The lady you waited on us today was exceptionally helpful. It's not everywhere you go with a wheelchair that you get so much help

Not the best option for afternoon tea.. dirty cups and no scones.

(Translated) The open-air cafe is surrounded by a botanical garden, and the scenery is beautiful. It is suitable for sitting down and drinking a cup of coffee quietly. Dessert is average.
