We were seated quite quickly, we git to choose where to sit, wasn't too busy, friendly vibe. Staff were all happy and approachable. We got served quite quickly, food arrived in good time. My ravioli was beautiful and it was a big portion. My son had pizza which he really enjoyed. Very good portion sizes. One downfall sweet potatoes were a little undercooked.

Popped in today having never been to zizzi before. It wasn't busy and we sat where we liked. The 3 course menu for £23 was great value. Food was well prepared and generous in size, really enjoyed the calzone. Would definitely return.

Looking for food on gloucester quays last night and we decided to try here Well have to say from minute walked in it was nice, The staff are lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Quite nice and relaxed and the food was amazing weren't made to rush, We going to be definitely going back again and would definitely recommend.. The walk over the quays to here is nice whichever way you go can take in the air and see all the boats..

Service super quick very polite. Food was fantastic. The reason it's a 4 star is because there was a lot of puddings that they didn't have. The waiter said their delivery didn't turn up, so out of their hands which I can agree isn't their fault. However my husband had the strawberries missing from his and had to ask for them. The pudding I opted for was a strange combination (I ate it all so couldn't of been that bad) it was a fridge cold brownie on the bottom which was very strange.

Really good evening at Zizzi. Sensational food and service as per usual. The onky constructive feedback we would give is that the Prosciutto and Chicken salad needs to ha e a lot more Prosciutto.... had one very small slice and an absolute heap.of avocado. Other than that, a very pleasurable experience!

Classic Italian restaurant. Good selection of pasta, pizza (both classic and rustic), as well as a “lighter” option, and other Italian dishes. Great selection of Italian beers and wines. (Although my usual moan with all restaurants about the price of wine) Why do you have to pay the same price for a glass of wine that you could buy the whole bottle for? Friendly and efficient service. Enjoyable evening.

We came here this evening for a family treat. This is our first time visiting & certainly won't be the last. We were served by Nic who was lovely, efficient, & had a constant smile on her face.The food was beautiful with good size portions. All four dishes went down a treat. Our evening started off quite bad not being able to find a table anywhere around Gloucester Quays. We tried our luck with Zizzi but to be honest we didn’t think we will get a table as it was very busy. We were welcomed by the manager “Alex” very friendly and professional chap. He manage to squeeze us letting us know that there is a 35 minute waiting time for food. Our food was lovely and we are really thankful for the service Alex provided. Thank you very much zizzi team and we will definitely come back!

Wandered in here after we were ignored in Wagamama. The contrast in customer service couldn’t have been starker. We were very well looked after by warm and friendly staff. The food didn’t take long and was hot, tasty and fresh. To be honest I have no negatives, it was a lovely dining experience.

Food was good and our waitress was good also. What I did notice was that certain staff need to be aware of what's happening around the restaurant. The delivery man was kept waiting outside for some considerable time because the member of staff who should have been seeing to him was busy talking to other members of staff behind the bar. The meal he was given to be delivered must have been cold before it had left the place. Not good.

Good food, but quite a wait for the food once ordered and the layout / doors meant strong cold draughts were felt throughout the meal. Otherwise, the atmosphere was good - music was audible but not to loud, a good buzz from the other tables and attractive interior - being able to easily see the kitchen and oven from the entire restaurant is above touch and helps to keep little ones occupied between courses. The at table service was good, however, and our requests were dealt with swiftly.

I know the food in zizzi is really good but the service its bad in the Gloucester branch. I have tried booking for next weekend when I come back for the weekend and they don't answer the phone and when they did they hung up. Can't book anything online either

We went for a late lunch on a Monday. The Restaurant was very quiet, only about 5 tables. The food was as always very good. But the services was poor. Our main meals came out quick I got my olives I ordered as a starter after my main came out. We were never asked if we wanted another drink and waited 15 minutes after we’d finished our meal before we went to the bar to ask for the bill. We were going to have a dessert but decided to go elsewhere because of the poor service.

I went here the other day with my friend and really liked it. The prices were what you would expect but my god the food was amazing! I ordered the lasagna and it was the best lasagna I have ever tasted! I ordered a cocktail but received the wrong one. I don’t mind this though because the staff were very apologetic. The only downsides are that it was very busy and the layout of the restaurant isn’t nice. We were placed in the middle and we felt cramped (like they had to fit in as many tables and chairs as possible) and we felt very open to the world.

We went here for a birthday celebration and table booked for 7pm. We were promptly seated and asked if we wished to place a drinks order. We placed an order for food at 19.10 and food wasn't bought to our table until 20.00. I like the fact that it was freshly prepared but It would have been nice if the wait was only 30-40minutes. We were a group of 10 and my food was missed off by mistake. (These things happen) they brought it over as soon as it was ready. The food was nice and simple. I possibly wouldn't go back here as it's not really food I personally like but If you do like Italian food then you will more than likely go here as it does have a nice atmosphere here.

This place is great for a meal out. My Wife and i recently visited for a celebration and had a lovely meal, with some caveats. Meerkat meals on a Tuesday or Wednesday makes this restaurant excellent value for money. The restaurant is laid out well and we found a table with no reservation very easily. The food was of good quality (Chicken and Spinach Calzone is excellent). My only concern with the food was with the side of cheesy mash i ordered. Having received the dish and tasted my first bite the only thing i can equate it too was molten lava. It was the single hottest thing i have ever put in my mouth. It must have been the quick reheating in the microwave, as the rest of the dish was not of the same temperature. As a result of this i have been applying bonjella to my mouth in hourly increments today. I think some temperature control next time would not go amiss. As a result of this i have only rated the visit as three starts as i could have been a different story if it was a child eating this mash. Otherwise i would visit again.

Once again, a fantastic meal served with a smile from Niamh and great value. We took advantage of the free bottle of prosecco offer for my birthday I received by email, this also included a free main meal which we cashed in on our last visit a couple of weeks ago! The staff here are always very accommodating and it's always nice to see the same faces whenever we visit - the same can be said for Cheltenham. Thanks for a great visit........ as usual!

We both picked main courses which we really enjoyed. However, this is the second time we've tried to order the new crumble on the specials board to be told they don't have it. Today our server told us they've never had it in since it was announced. Please let customers know this before they are disappointed!! Or DON'T have it displayed. We had a voucher code to pay as Meerkat deals are stopping soon, but it really is not clear you have to have TWO drinks the same to get one free. The staff are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. Our food arrived quickly and the tiramisu (my favourite dessert) was lovely.

Food is usually pretty good, service was okay. For an Italian chain restaurant Zizzi is usually one of the better options. However I'd recommend the Zizzi in Cheltenham over the Gloucester one. The building, atmosphere and service are much better.

If you know other Zizzi chains, it is fair to say this one is very good. Although is a standard commercial unit, I actually like the layout and decor as you get plenty of natural light in. Service is usually very good and the food is good value for an Italian chain. Close to the cinema, bars and the shopping centre at Gloucester Quays. Always have the Antipasti to start and usually the Sofia pizza. House wines by the carafe are reasonably good - in both taste and value.

The food was brilliant, and with a 40% UNIDAYS discount, good value however we had a very odd experience with the waitress: we had to split our bill three ways, one of my friends had the exact change, but two of us only had £10 notes, so altogether we were owed about £2.50 tip. This was approx 10% of our bill so roughly what we’d have left anyway, but as this change was owed to 2 of us, not all 3, we were going to sort out the tip seperately. We waited for about ten minutes for the waitress to bring our change back, watching as she served other tables and wondering what was taking her so long (my friend actually needed the money for her bus fare home). Eventually I asked the waitress for our change and she replied “oh, since you overpaid, I assumed it was for me.” We were horrified: we had of course planned to leave a tip but thought that for the woman to assume that our change was her tip was horrendously rude. As we left, shocked (and without tipping, which, as an ex-waitress myself, I only do in exceptional circumstances) we noticed the waitress talking to the other staff, all looking our way and clearly talking about us. How embarrasing! Shame this tainted an otherwise 5 star experience!

Nice Italian experience. Food was good, service was awesome and quick. I'd go again soon. We went when it was busy so it gets a little cosy but still very pleasant and wasn't loud. (Cheltenham zizzis is much louder but the surroundings, an old church, is really cool, but no parking in Cheltenham) The tomatoes on the bruschetta were really really nice. Girlfriend had lamb meatballs which were nice (has little bit of chilli in the meatballs) I have pulled vennison and beff pasta - very good also. Their passion fruit cooler type thing was nice but seemed like it's just from concentrate... wouldn't get it again. Though if I were nitpicking. The menus could be a bit more descriptive - e.g. the meat dish I ordered came with mushrooms, I just assumed that if it didn't say mushrooms on the menu it wouldn't come with them. It was fine, I just picked them out and the dish was very nice.
